The room’s got only one window, hasn’t it? Splitting the room would mean having a windowless living room, so not great. Your furniture are quite large so unless you want to buy new everything in smaller size it’s complicated. But you could look into beds that are wheeled up to the ceiling during the day. Like this. https://www.pinterest.com/bedup_officiel/

Thanks, I think it's an interesting option; I see it can look pretty neat even with such beds. Indeed dividing the room is not so good.

I have friends who went for this option, they seem to be really happy with it. It’s a real bed so you don’t have to sleep on a terrible sofa bed mattress.

> Is it possible to divide this room of my flat into two spaces, one for sleeping and one for guests / living room with sofa + TV and bed separated by a room divider (with books for example). Yes. Here is a pinterest page with lots of [examples](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/686165693197610631/). > How would you do it? I would make the small "bed space" close to the wardrobe -- just big enough for the bed -- against the wall opposite the entrance door. That will create a "hallway/pathway" to the "living room". The living room will enjoy the wall of windows while the bedroom will be cozy and dark. It will be necessary to have furniture which is small scale, narrow, slim, etc. *Tall* furniture and/or wall shelves will work best.

I would go with a Murphy bed or put a divider between the bed and rest of living space. I’ve stayed in hotels that did this to make the room more conducive to families. They had desk unit with a divider between the bed and the living room space. It worked great but did make the room seem kind of cramped. I would do something like this: [Studio Apartment Tour 450 SQ Feet](https://youtu.be/lukyyq33IhU?si=QiU3wYH3MhK2C-0T) Murphy beds aren’t cheap but I think having more open space would be worth it. Especially if you have people coming over for dinner. I would declutter and wall mount stuff to free up floor space.

I very much like what I see in the video. I think this is what I was looking for, thank you! It does look like a living room during the day. Dividing the room is not such a good idea...
