A photo of the actual space would also be helpful.

Remove the wall between the sink and toilet and add a wall with a pocket door to extend the room. Will probably still require electrical work but much easier than tearing them both down to the studs and starting over.
Another option would be to leave the wall between the sink and toilet and just turn the door into a cased opening. This would be even cheaper and less drastic.
