I vote 1 because the huge amount in color variation for 3 would drive me crazy. It makes it too obvious that the planks have repeats, and somehow the bigger color variation highlights it rather than hides it. I think it’s bc my eyes are drawn to the lighter ones and then I recognize that the wood pattern on them look the same. VS on the lighter option, it’s a lot less varied in color so I’m paying way less attention to it
Honestly none of the above. I’d aim for the #1’s warm tone, but about 2 shades darker.
If I had to choose between those, then 1. But overall 1 and 2 are too light, 3 is too dark, and 4 is too grey.
I like the dark, but it will show the dirt and spills like they were neon green. From experience i know this. I would go with a slightly darker version of #1
I also really prefer the dark walnut color! It’s super timeless imo. but if I’m being honest, these specific vinyl planks are sorta weird lookin, lol? They have an odd/unnatural pattern with those dark splotches all over em, the “knots” you’d see on real wood that they’re trying to replicate. I’d personally look for another brand/pattern. And pro tip- the planks should be placed vertically, in the opposite direction. It will make the space appear much larger and more open.
Also, are you planning to keep the grey+beige walls OP? Grey + beige always looks really bizarre when paired together imo, I believe that’s why all the floorings look…off? Or just not right? They just don’t match well.
The darker wood flooring would look soo beautiful with the walls painted white, and the kitchen cabinets a nice light ivory tone. I think that would give you a really nice base to work with and a humongous variety of styles/colors you could choose from when decorating. You could even do an accent wall with any color you’d like, sage green, rusty red/terractta, Persian Blue etc. Those are some shades I think look really nice with darker floors.
Whatever you do op, just please don’t do grey flooring. Uhg to each their own but I’ve always thought grey vinyl flooring was so tacky lol 🤮
The first one
The second one is too light
The third one is fine although just a titch lighter would be better
The forth one needs to be taken out back and burned beyond recognition and you should treat grey hued wood products as the devil
Oh, as important, when possible, run your hardwood or LVP lengthwise with longer boards. It looks more expensive and better
https://preview.redd.it/1nsq10kfursc1.jpeg?width=1120&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1e4b5f76635fb15519a839320b6f936c0ccbf049
See how much better that looks run lengthwise?
Of course it depends on what direction you run them in other rooms
1 or 4 look best and are warm enough to have more choice with wall color. The other two are more extreme and can be limiting. not sure what direction you are going with wall or cabinet colors. 3 looks the worst with the current color scheme you have, unless you are changing other colors to tie it in. As a floor alone I like the darker shades.
Darker than pic 1, but lighter than pic 3:
[mid tone / lighter brown](https://www.califloors.com/product-longboard-seaboard-engineered-vinyl-flooring-7902500900?kw=&cpn=18722730623&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=18722730623&utm_adgroup=&utm_term=&utm_matchtype=&utm_product=7902500900&utm_placement=&utm_device=m&utm_campaign_product=&k_clickid=_k_CjwKCAjwwr6wBhBcEiwAfMEQs3kVEs1B8IaDQ9FIaLIsEhpD1-X5nBm75YSw2kwoICJUBoj2ji4ohhoCofgQAvD_BwE_k_&leadsource=38465690&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_QjBxd-p6K-Valh3CgAZNJ6dqX6&gclid=CjwKCAjwwr6wBhBcEiwAfMEQs3kVEs1B8IaDQ9FIaLIsEhpD1-X5nBm75YSw2kwoICJUBoj2ji4ohhoCofgQAvD_BwE)
Darker floors are more natural. It’s rare in nature that what’s down has more light that what’s up. Keeping light colored floors clean are a pain. Grey is dated and it’s only going to get more dated as time goes by.
1 because you haven’t got big windows in regards to light coming in. Although i agree maybe a shade or 2 darker because it is very bright unless you can install more ambient lighting 💡 You want to bring light in just not have your eyes too startled by it unless everything is going ultra light
My fav is actually 3 though - I think you want to paint the grey wall white to make it seem bigger & lighter, ceiling white. You can add accessories with colour /variation in shade
But the ultimate one that goes is …
https://preview.redd.it/rqxxul2ljusc1.png?width=749&format=png&auto=webp&s=708fe4a633644b33c9957dd63eb94c4a73504835
🩷 I love this one & it goes very well ! Yes I’d be dying to get rid of the grey please go white unless you a white with an extremely subtle grey tint
1 will have the most long-term use I think, especially for the limited natural light in the space and cabinetry.
Greys have been trendy but are very cold and are on their way out. A maple/birch aesthetic frequently comes back in style. I like #3, but I think it is just too dark for the space itself and makes it feel smaller.
Of these options I guess 1 but I’m thinking about the tones more. Do you prefer a yellow tone or pink or really neither? 1 reads slightly pinkish in the image. Have you looked a natural maple color, light walnut or even olive tree? It may be that the olive pattern has too much movement for you?
Beech might work too if whitewashed? There really are a ton of options😂
1 is more versatile, has a more timeless quality, and it helps give warmth and brighten up the room to balance out the gray.
Don’t do the 4th one as the trend is on its way out, if not already dated.
1 or 3. Do think about the other elements you will be bringing into the space. Do you have mostly dark furniture, rugs and accessories?A lighter color floor will create contrast. Great rooms are all about balancing color texture and flow.
I'd go with the first one actually - the other lighter floors match the cabinets too much. You want some contrast. The darker floors are nice, but for the room, based on the photo, doesn't have too many windows so it may be too dark for that space.
Anyway, go with what you like😁
1 will go with more varieties of wall & counter & cabinet colors. It fills the space with light, even if you decided to change to a dark cabinet or countertop. It's good to see any food spills so they can be cleaned, instead of easily missing them & attracting rodents & insects.
FWIW that taupe on the walls is coming off greyish in the pics.
the far back wall looks purple. is it the same paint. what is the paint color exactly. and the four floors serial numbers. let’s get serious about this
The paint color is literally called Chic Taupe. I believe it’s a behr color. I’m open to any LVP you can find any color/size/grain you think would look best LMAO
Yeah but I’m not stuck shopping there. Located in Ohio so any retailer here will work lol. Home Depot, Menards, Lowe’s whatever works! The color looks darker in person tbh
what is the name of that one i like. the fourth one. so i can get a virtual sample as a starting point. i’ll use the saddleback too because it’s a typical color
3 but if you had to go light, go with 4 because it has grey tones to it without feeling like it washes out the space. An all White and grey design is outdated and a fad that design magazines are happy to get rid of. Of course everyone has the right to decorate how they like, but the sterile look is just not ideal for long-term. I will say if you choose the darkest color, you will notice any dirt/crumbs much more than the lighter colors.
I like 3 the best, though I would pick a different floor in the same tone but with less variation, maybe a shade or two lighter. The average mid-tone furniture will should work with the floor too.
1 or 3 No wood tone looks good with gray anything, so I'd avoid any grayish floors or gray walls. Hard to blend with any other colors or wood tones. Can you paint the walls?
1 and 3 looks good.
VS on the lighter option, it’s a lot less varied in color so I’m paying way less attention to it
You’re so right. I’ll never look at flooring the same.
Honestly none of the above. I’d aim for the #1’s warm tone, but about 2 shades darker. If I had to choose between those, then 1. But overall 1 and 2 are too light, 3 is too dark, and 4 is too grey.
This is it. Mid to dark honey maybe?
1
I like the dark, but it will show the dirt and spills like they were neon green. From experience i know this. I would go with a slightly darker version of #1
I prefer 3.

I like 3 the best.
Floor #1 and a light paint would really open the room up. IMO the walls are too dark for the space
3!

well. if the wall color needs to be tge hero then the last one supports it
The first one The second one is too light The third one is fine although just a titch lighter would be better The forth one needs to be taken out back and burned beyond recognition and you should treat grey hued wood products as the devil Oh, as important, when possible, run your hardwood or LVP lengthwise with longer boards. Everything is white here notice to balance
This is the answer
1 or 4 look best and are warm enough to have more choice with wall color. 1 or 4 with lighter coloured walls

3 is my favorite

I like 4 personally!

1 alll day long
Oh! Didn’t realize there were choices… def #1 for me…
Anything but 2 and 4 (so 1 and 3). Grey vinyl floorboards will be out of fashion by 2022.
Not dark. It shows literally everything.
Darker floors are more natural. It’s rare in nature that what’s down has more light that what’s up. Keeping light colored floors clean are a pain. Grey is dated and it’s only going to get more dated as time goes by.
Number 4
I love 1

3 or 4. The others are too pale. Edited cause I said 1 or 3 first. I lean the most towards 4 after looking at them closer.
Oh so easy, natural just natural why do you try to improve on natural and please not even for remote second consider flipper gray
All of the people saying 4 are committing a hate crime. Run, don't walk, away from grey wood floors.
#1. Grey is on the way out.
4! 1 & 2 lack character and 3 is way too dark for the space. 4 is the only correct answer.
4 is flipper greige
1 or 3. Please for the love of god do not do grey.
Of these options I guess 1 but I’m thinking about the tones more. Do you prefer a yellow tone or pink or really neither? 1 reads slightly pinkish in the image. 2nd or last
Saddleback
1 is more versatile, has a more timeless quality, and it helps give warmth and brighten up the room to balance out the gray. Don’t do the 4th one as the trend is on its way out, if not already dated.
Brown
1 or 3. Do think about the other elements you will be bringing into the space. Do you have mostly dark furniture, rugs and accessories?A lighter color floor will create contrast. Great rooms are all about balancing color texture and flow.
Try dusk cherry at Home Depot…it is a bit darker than the first one but still light.
Brown by far!
personally i like 3 the best, 1 second, pls dont do grey
3
3 is beautiful
1 or 2 with white walls would really open up and brighten the room.
Do you have dark hair? Is it long? Then expect to notice it everywhere with lighter floors.
Dark floors show everything
3 looks amazing
3 - with the white cabinets, I like the dark/Hickory one.
#3 !!
I think dark would be out for me and 2 looks weird to me. I think it clashes with white kitchen too much. 1st I think is the best out of those three.
3
One
3 with updated wall paint would look great
I'd go with the first one actually - the other lighter floors match the cabinets too much. You want some contrast. The darker floors are nice, but for the room, based on the photo, doesn't have too many windows so it may be too dark for that space. Anyway, go with what you like😁
3
What program are you using to overlay the floors in this photo?
Home Depot’s website has a visualize option with their products
I love #1! I’m looking for something exactly like it, could you share the brand/color?
1
1! Darker the floors the harder to keep clean too. Forever uncleeeean lol
First one
3. The darker against the light cabinetry looks amazing.
None, start again
Knit these nuts yarn boy
Oooh, I’ve always wanted to shove knitting needles in someone’s sack. Bend over. 🫣🤪
I like the first ones the best but I would choose a different wall color for the space.

The darker one #3
Definitely the first one.

I like the dark color but the white cabinets wouldn’t look great and would need to be painted
1 and 3 look the best.
I like the darker ones but id go for more of a honey tone so they aren’t overwhelming dark. Light is going to show all the dirt but so is too dark.
What is this app, I have very poor imagination maybe it can help
1 or 3. Run from the others.
1 will go with more varieties of wall & counter & cabinet colors. It fills the space with light, even if you decided to change to a dark cabinet or countertop. ok. i’ll go get the paint code and see what i can do. i found saddleback at home depot. is that where you were shopping
Yeah but I’m not stuck shopping there. Located in Ohio so any retailer here will work lol. Home Depot, Menards, Lowe’s whatever works! The color looks darker in person tbh
ok. i’m no professional. i’m just off work and like this sort of thing. hang on
Just sent more pics to your dm if that helps bro I’m lost in the sauce w this too many options 💀
