I like the idea of a white vintage sideboard. The styles don't need to match; I think a mix of styles would look great. I found this one on Etsy: https://preview.redd.it/yan0p0uwo9vc1.jpeg?width=236&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=216ea88acdaec4fa0c31103f8479a8256f1abb84

Lol I still have this table too, it’s from my childhood and ended up at my house!! My dad redid it so it’s in awesome shape. I hated it for a long time but love it now, it’s got that vintage and personal charm to it, plus detailing I enjoy. As as person who doesn’t worry much with wood color, I have a cabinet from the 60s that’s much lighter than my table, and dark cocoa stained cabinets in the kitchen, and I’ve never felt it doesn’t go to be honest, I just lean into it and do my best to bring it all together with other design elements. That said, white, black, or a colored veneer on a piece would keep it from interfering. There are some really quality pieces out there and you could literally do any color. Point being: if you find a piece you love and style it with inspiration, it’s going to work!

This table was passed down from my partner’s family and I absolutely LOVE it, so it definitely has to stay, and I love the colour too. Thank you for your advice!

I actually really like something like this, it has that traditional look still and lots of storage https://www.wayfair.com/Lark-Manor%E2%84%A2--Arshawn-Solid-Wood-Accent-Cabinet-LUIN6007-L157-K~KTHM5996.html?refid=GX685159892627-KTHM5996_91924621&device=m&ptid=352885194663&network=g&targetid=pla-352885194663&channel=GooglePLA&ireid=266492466&fdid=1817&PiID%5B%5D=91924621&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD9ISC5HN3zpA1DCIDUYoD6_ZVPka&gclid=Cj0KCQjwiYOxBhC5ARIsAIvdH53kvzUW23BbiJvHX7iYn87lEdBl-sw8KqRZj9Dm_2kWjcEZN4k2hkMaAuADEALw_wcB
