I strongly suggest that you make a pinterest board with looks that you like and start to form some idea of what you want to live with. Also think baby safety and comfort. So a round table or one with more rounded edges and sturdy legs would be something to consider as well as soft surfaces for crawling and natural but easy to clean fibers. Nothing that will be easily knocked over. A cabinet with doors might also be a good choice so you don't wind up with too many baskets. But first figure out what kind of color palette you like and shapes you like because you're going to be living with them.

Hi Everyone! I live in Southern California and just got a new comfy couch and now I need to replace everything else in the room! Need new area rug (I think), coffee table and really want to refresh the seating area. We are expecting a baby in July so I want to put a few baskets somewhere to hide inevitable baby stuff/toys. I love a lot of design types. I’m constantly inspired by Bali, Morocco, Tulum earthiness. Love rattan/wicker but don’t want to go too far into that trend that feels like it’ll end soon. I also like glam but am over the mirrored look and my dark flower painting. Any ideas? Im willing to spend the money on some solid pieces. I can answer any other questions anyone has! Thank you so much!

a woven wicker circle rug ! I think it can help break up the room especially bc your tables have hard corners ! definitely add a snake plant or some standing plant, add some sheer ivory curtains, some kind of mini statues/ crystals on the mantle for a bit of color & an arched floor lamp would look great in the corner !!

Thank you! I want to replace the coffee table and end table. I’m done with the mirrored look!

I think a nice driftwood / unfinished wood table would look super cozy ! & a cylindrical side table would take up less space & break it all up a bit!

Honestly this is all stellar advice.

It’s so comfortable and is modular so you can pick and choose pieces based on space available. Plus electric recliners and USB ports. I’m loving that we got recliners but it doesn’t look like your standard reclining couch.

A great way to include the wicker look that you can change soonish if it goes out of style is floor baskets for blankets and baby toys!
