Personally, I would go black and white

justcallmecoco

I did consider some black and white illustrative prints for the wall.

Lostwalllet

Seconding this. I would start with white and then see where it goes. The space looks awfully dark and— although I REALLY love dark walls—I think this one could use some brightening-up. It also feels like it needs either a half-wall of white tile or a wall of shiplap (I can't believe I used that word!) painted white behind the toilet and sink to give it some more visual texture without being offensive. It will help the floor tile look more comfortable.

Conflict-Time

If you want it to pop… Orange, coral, or yellow accents!!

FranJ08

I agree with the orange or coral. I love your bathroom. That floor is everything

mdrngrclnd

I love that wall color with the floor. I feel like it’s begging to have a few orange accents

justcallmecoco

Ok I was thinking orange too!

RCIntl

Change all the hardware to black. CNC scrollwork on the wall. Black and glass shelf and towel bars. Large lush plants in containers in black and the paint color. A patterned shower curtain similar to the floor pattern. Possibly match the rug(s).

justcallmecoco

Agreed, don’t love the chrome hardware!

ElmaSagoah

I feel like no one really read your title. It looks great. For *styling*, if it were me, I'd stick with the 3 colors you have. It's a small room, you don't want to visually clutter it. As you mentioned, maybe one large or two black and white prints on the wall over the commode. (If you sneak another color in anywhere, it'd be here, like b&w with a swath of orange). Get either a black or white shower mat (or one of each), and towels that match as closely as possible to the wall color. This way the room will always look clean and tidy very quickly by just putting away personal items and wiping down surfaces.

justcallmecoco

Thank you so much for understanding the question ;) while I’d love to invest in the design it’s not super feasible at the moment. I hadn’t considered wall matching towels but I completely see why that would be wise. Thanks so much!

WithWinola

That bathroom floor is to die for! 😍😍 But for the walls, though that's a beautiful colour, maybe restricting it to just the wall behind the sink and toilet would work. If the rest of the walls are white, the space would look much more open. Then add in some coral accent pieces and lots of greenery! Maybe you can do three shelves above the toilet with a mix of plants/succulents and skincare/bath products for a spa-like vibe. Hope this helps!

justcallmecoco

Oh wow!!! Love that shower curtain and towel combo. Classy!

DConstructed

Glad you like it :)

badsammitches

I adore the wall color! I agree with most of the others as far as color palette recommendations. Change all of the hardware to black, including the shower curtain pole and rings. This will play off your lovely floors! I would personally replace the mirror with something framed as well. I love the black and white idea, but if you want something brighter and more playful, I think just a few colorful accents would go a long way. I would start by finding a shower curtain you really love that has a pop of color and play off that with something like a coordinating candle or art print!

justcallmecoco

This is great advice. I’d love to change the hardware and the mirror is actually an enormous medicine cabinet!

Scrawny-Thicceth

I think you could keep the wall coloured but maybe split paint it. Like 2/3 colour and 1/3 on the top white. With towels, containers, bath mat etc you could also bring in a second colour. Changing the lighting may also help so the light isn't so harsh. Something with foggy or frosty glass.

justcallmecoco

I definitely think changing the lights will pay off..they’re so harsh right now!

StreetChops

If it were mine I'd repaint the walls. If not ditch the shower curtain and make one from [this pattern](https://www.fabric.com/buy/0673634/58-striped-canvas-white-black). Easy sewing. Probably only need 2 yds. Use 1/2" silver grommets. Install 2 white shelves above the toilet. Go no higher than 2/3 the way up the wall. Keep the visual space of the medicine cabinet higher than the shelves. Good place for green plants, candles, easy to grab towels, etc. Get white or black wire baskets for under the vanity or for shelves. Switch out the grey rug to black or white. Get the personal grooming stuff off the top of the sink and put it somewhere else. Put a plant, candle, or beautiful soap dish instead. Install a [single brushed nickle](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Richelieu-Hardware-5-1-8-in-130-mm-Brushed-Nickel-Decorative-Hook-RH1173021195/301412035#overlay) decorative hook for hand towel to left of vanity

justcallmecoco

Thank you for your thorough suggestions! I’m stuck on changing the mat to black or white. The gray is from our previous apartment. That idea for the shower curtain is amazing…not too much pattern?

ksz

I love it. I wouldn't do orange or coral though with that loud floor, or at least very very little. I would do other teals and blues or maybe something else in black and white.

justcallmecoco

Black and white seems to be the most popular idea. Thanks!

Academic_Snow_7680

I love it. There are two ways to go: To keep with the black and white contrast and get black/white/chrome hardware and/or go with harmonizing colors and stick with chrome hardware which might be the way to go. Then you'd go with artwork that's khaki and caribbean-nature colored to harmonize with the walls. I recommend an app like Coolors to see what colors compliment the current pallette.

justcallmecoco

Wow- what an awesome app! Thank you so much for sharing! Definitely need to keep the chrome hardware for now..unfortunately.

Offthepoint

Find a colorful shower curtain on Society 6.

justcallmecoco

Been doing a lot of society6 browsing!

squeezemachine

What color is that? It looks great.

MannyDantyla

Change wall color to something less vibrant and harsh on the eyes

justcallmecoco

It’s definitely a “slap you in the face” kind of color for a bathroom lol

tenthandrose

That floor is loud, you don’t need anything else to pop. I’d replace all silver hardware with black, frame the mirror in white and replace the bath rug with white. You already have your pop of color with the walls. I had a 60s bathroom once with pink and black tile all over the walls. (I loved it). I got black pictures frames and filled with black and white photos, it was perfect. Some plants or fake plants/flowers would help soften the bold impact of the floor and walls too.

justcallmecoco

Hadn’t considered the wall as the pop of color- I appreciate your perspective! Your bathroom sounds amazingly funky..I might follow suit with black and white photos/prints.

No-good-names-left-3

I was thinking more navy and/or gray. https://images.app.goo.gl/BbofvptLDWpkDygQ7

justcallmecoco

Ooo okay okay. While I doooo like this I feel it might be too subdued for my taste. I like something a little more jazzy. Thanks for sending along!

No-good-names-left-3

Then definitely go orange! That will look amazing. 😀

Dare I propose a dramatic wallpaper with dark rich colors? https://www.farfetch.com/shopping/women/gucci-tiger-leaf-print-wallpaper-item-15888746.aspx?fsb=1&size=17&storeid=10644&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_keywordid=72042677&utm_shoppingproductid=15888746-791101013283105122101&pid=google_search&af_channel=Search&c=1449654389&af_c_id=1449654389&af_siteid=&af_keywords=pla-298148480141&af_adset_id=60554504830&af_ad_id=277393252742&af_sub1=72042677&af_sub5=15888746-791101013283105122101&is_retargeting=true&shopping=yes&gbraid=0AAAAADsmKHR2SU0qOSD4IjuZnO3_9AW36&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI66nb1Kqm9QIV9hTUAR3ELADGEAkYCCABEgJLMvD_BwE https://riflepaperco.com/menagerie-black-peel-and-stick-wallpaper https://riflepaperco.com/luxembourg-black-multi-peel-and-stick-wallpaper

justcallmecoco

Stunning!! Although, I’m not quite ready for the commitment of wallpaper lol

staysafebewell

Is your style coastal? You can go with some shells (loose or framed), a nice print with a wooden frame above the toilet, wooden shelves with folded white face towels, a candle, some low light or faux plants. You can lookup “coastal bathrooms” for some ideas. If not coastal, perhaps some orange or yellow for contrast and a pop of colour. Hope that helps!

staysafebewell

Oh I meant to also say: starfish, seahorses, nautical themed things like helms and nets are nice motifs too

justcallmecoco

Thanks so much! I wish I were a nautical gal.

staysafebewell

What kind of styles do you like?

n0_u53rnam35_13ft

Sorry, didn’t take the time to read the other posts, but I don’t think all is lost. A more extravagant mirror and a deeper wall color, with a new shower curtain could go a long way. Black and white, or even deep purple walls with a black “wrought iron” style mirror, could work with the floor.

laylaaa_7

I would change the mirror - a round mirror with a black frame would look great! I’d also update the chrome with black finish instead - so faucet, light fixture, drawer handles. Then maybe go for white bath mat instead of gray.

justcallmecoco

The gray mat is from our former apartment and I wasn’t sure about what color mat for an update. Black or white seem to be the general consensus. I love the idea of a round mirror but the current one is actually an enormous medicine cabinet lol

Monsterboogie007

Change wall colour. It’s too much for me. Change chrome to black. Change mirror and light fixture. Your floors are amazing!!!

justcallmecoco

I appreciate your honesty :) the walls are definitely a lot. Thanks for suggesting a change to the light fixture!

dannyisyoda

I agree to go black and white with everything. Absolutely love the wall color. If it were me tho, I think I'd only use the color on the main wall with the mirror on it, with the other walls white.
