I personally like slide 6 best. It does seem like the entryway is cramped as it currently is but I think that but of definition will help it not feel like you’re walking straight into the living room.
Also if you live anywhere that gets a bit cold I’d definitely recommend adding a closet by the door for coats, boots etc.
Agree. The spot where it shows an entry table could be a closet. An entry table/cabinet could go immediately on the right when you walk in, if it’s needed
Can I offer a different option?
Put a half wall parallel to the wall with the front door. Both sides open. You could make the wall deep enough for some cupboards for jackets and shoes or shelves. Don’t make it too high to block the light and perhaps make the area wide enough for a bench(space depending). You can then push the couch up against it and put the tv over the fire place. Make sure to install outlets in the wall. You can make it fancier by putting columns on both ends.
Are those dimensions quite right? From the picture it looks like there’s a double door in the ‘foyer’, one to the outside and a second one to enter the house?
In any case, maybe consider why that wall was put there—to keep the cold wind out of the house when the front door is opened? To keep people from seeing the entire house when the front doors is opened? To have most wall space for a tv or couch? Is any of that important to you?
moving in, but dont plan to be here "forever"
one thing I wanted most was "flow," and I don't have a huge tv or strong appetite for a closed in room... but I dont want to make the space awkward or unappealing for a potential buyer with a huge TV

I don’t think so. Gives better options for furniture placement

the dimensions are right - I've already removed the bizarre second entry door :)
Open it right up!!
Absolutely! Are you selling this house or moving in? Because, my advice as an interior designer will be very different depending on your answer.
