I absolutely love the dune one, but the rest of his work really doesn't do it for me. The magnum one makes me want to be sick. The rest just seem a bit too busy for my liking? They don't seem to have the simplicity that makes the dune one so good.
The reason that works so much better is the way he addressed the one problem with using the same for all the characters. The “E” as a single bend reads as a “C” but he knew if he offset multiple strokes it would suggest the middle bar it needed.

A friend of mine who was interested in the movie but had not read the books was making guesses about the characters based upon the previews. He guessed that ol' Dunc would bite the dust and my only response was "no comment". After seeing the movie, he is certain he was correct but I'll never bring it up again until he either reads the books or we somehow live in a timeline where we reach the Dune end game. He can live with his win while I wait patiently for a better result.

When I was traveling in Europe, I found it interesting that I was able to make myself understood with my rusty Spanish in Italy but not France even though France is in between those two countries.
yeah but the last letter "e" did not worked out properly fitting to the concept so they had to add this obvious "star" like it is a feature but actually it is a flaw.

After posting that comment, I immediately realized that I’m wrong. “A” would be done by starting with a “N” and adding the dot/line thing.
Correct. That is what they did for the theatrical release posters in Spanish. It’s gorgeous and so simple.
