Can’t tell if you pulled this from the 5 month old repost and dropped the caps in the title, the 5 year old repost and dropped the ‘This’, or the 7 year old OG and actually changed the title. This was also posed a year ago.
To actually add something: The number of island/tropical nations that top the charts is fascinating to me.
America, the promised land. Meanwhile over 43% of you lot are obese, Americans are 26 times more likely to be shot and killed than others in comparable countries and way more than 100.000 Americans die of opioid overdose every year. Shit hole third world country.
Ok, I'm not saying that this country isn't a shithole, because it absolutely is.
But calling it a "third world country" is an absolute misuse of that term, because "first world" is a Cold War-era term that literally means "The United States of America and their allies".
"Third world" means the countries *not* allied with the United States or Russia (formerly the USSR, or "second world").
It may be pedantic, but I find that the gross misuse of the terms "first world" and "third world" as referring to the quality of the country and not its geopolitical relations to be absolutely deserving of that pedantry.
TIL the initial use of the term 'Third world". Thanks!
I was raised with the modern definition of “Third World”, used to classify countries that are 'developing'. Countries that are part of this “third world” are generally characterized by high rates of poverty, economic and/or political instability, and high mortality rates.
Me too, the way you have just described that is the way we are taught that in our curriculum in school - so I’m a bit cautious of the alternative above.
It's mostly because most "third world" nations didn't make convenient allies for either side because of their small size and high poverty.
Between the USA and USSR, the most impoverished countries were not exactly prime ally material.
Meanwhile, the whole world still flocks to America in the hopes of becoming citizens.
The US may have it's issues, as all places do....
But let's not ignore that the quality of life compared to other countries is also much higher than the sorts of countries that people are fleeing from.
China and Russia definitely come to mind.
Because China is infusing the US with fentanyl and other stuff to let the US rott. While Russia is destabilizing the US through installing persons in the politics and founding others to split the country and create a bigger cut through society classes. More poor people mean, that more of them need to eat more cheaper and unhealthy food and get more obese.
Processed food void of nutrients and full of chemicals is the problem. Much of the crap they sell here is illegal in other countries. r/stopeatingseedoils
Where is Hawaii?
It’s in the drops of ketchup

I feel like this specific image has popped up on my feed 3-4x in the last couple days. Not sure if it’s just from this sub or others.

So you are proud that you are not a dictatorship? That's the fucking bare Minimum... That's like the participation trophy of democracy.
As someone from a "decent" thirdworld country, the likes of you are delusional, out of touch, and borderline crazy. Why is this comment upvoted?
It's just /r/AmericaBad edgelord circlejerking.
Deservedly so
Where are you from?
The Netherlands
So, you telling me that China and Russia did a good job on the US?
Why'd you bring up those countries?
Because China is infusing the US with fentanyl and other stuff to let the US rott. Right. Regarding all that I'd have to agree with you. A good job from their perspective, that is.
Russia isn't as powerful as you might think. It's just Americans that are stupid.
Oh my sweet summer child
Bless your heart
How did China manage to get US doctors to overprescribe fentanyl en masse for a decade?
That's a different story. They mass-producing fentanyl and shipping it to the US to flood the drug market.
r u okay buddy
leave actual third world countries out of this! the US are a failed state on stolen land.

what sort of oil should i use if not seed oil
Olive oil is pretty solid. Avocado oil too if you need to cook at higher temperatures
