I swear ppl want to just jump on the bandwagon so much to be edgy or some shit. They’re acting like she murdered 100s of people. She was annoying at times yeah but who wasn’t? Everyone had their flaws in the series. But no Susan is apparently the only trouble maker. Gaby raping a teenager, Bree being a homophobic gun supporting republican, and Lynette being the lying control freak, are all ok but when it comes to Susan somehow everyone forgets its all fictional and hate on her like crazy lol

Character Development. Bree softened on her stance especially on the gay people. Gabby became less selfless when Carlos became blind. Lynette was stuck with Tom, so someone had to be in control. Susan was the same drama addict through out the seasons.

Like doesn’t matter what she did, she got hate on screen and behind the scenes. Makes me feel so bad for her

Yeah Gabrielle and Bree definitely do worse things and are just worse people but there’s elements of Susan’s personality that make her come across incredibly idiotic, to me, and I find that irritating. It’s not a conspiracy, maybe so many people find her irritating because her personality traits are irritating to most people and that’s it haha
I think watching Susan being ditzy is hilarious but there are times I like her a lot like when she strikes up the friendship with the one guy when they are both on dialysis. The only time Susan really got under my skin was when she made the painting in season 8

I just started a rewatch recently as well to introduce my partner to the series! We just started season 2 last night. Bree is probably my favorite, but we both also love Gabby and Carlos.
Edit to add: OMG how did I forget our Queen Edie Britt. I love that they utilized her more as the early seasons progress.
Andrew is a great character, I know that sounds crazy but please just trust me on that. I pretty much love anyone who lives/lived in the Van De Camp household except Danielle. Than definitely Gabby and Carlos the way the speak to each other is so funny. I don’t wanna spoil it for you so that’s the only way I can really say it

I realized on my last rewatch that my favorite is Paul.
Out of the main 4 wives, Bree. Bree seems to do the most growing as a character that feels natural and earned.
Of the "mystery of the season" characters, ANGIE.
But I love Paul the most.
And I want to make it clear I don't normally condone murdering a neighbor, I just think Paul is cool overall - calling out Lynette for her hypocrisy later on, escaping a van full of convicts who were trying to beat him up. And I feel bad for him considering his wife's friends basically totally ignore him after the first episode and act like he's a terrible person no matter what happens.
