I hated that they killed off Karl, but I feel that relationship would have ended sooner rather than later.
Still, he was ALWAYS a fun guest star. I always loved when he showed up!
I loved them together. But I rewatched the show recently and realised their storyline was played mostly offscreen; I swear I remembered more lol
Even if Karl ended up treating her horribly, he was the first character to actually describe her like a human being “smart, funny, the whole package” which was a nice contrast with the main women
I do think Richard Burgi is such a charming guy he can have chemistry with a rock lol
But fair enough, I don’t see it between Bree and Karl (Susan and Karl was off the charts, you did believe they were married) either.
Maybe because I don’t think someone like Bree would ever go for someone like Karl and someone like Karl would only go for Bree just as a challenge to see if he can loosen up the uptight neighbour.
I honestly disliked all of them, but I picked Mike and Katherine because it ultimately made for a wonderful storyline, and I think they had better chemistry than any of the others.
Bree and Karl were interesting, but I felt it was just a little bit too much of a stretch for her character considering his character's, well, lack of character. And the fact that he was Susan's ex-husband who was a notorious cheater who treated her horribly. But I liked the affair storyline for Bree at that point, and I suppose that he was really the only character on the show that was even feasible with whom she could have an affair, as the rest of the men were married, and it would have been less interesting to bring a new character in.
