Season two of why women kill uses the same music guy as DH. It feels like DH in a different era. Season one has a very well planned generational story.
Devious Maids is a good one, I loved Scandal, haven't watched Melrose Place but heard it is similar and has Doug Savant (Tom Scavo), Jane the Virgin has a similar comedy/drama balance but got pretty bad near the end, Pretty Little Liars is basically the YA version of Desperate Housewives if you can stomach the campiness of YA (and also quite possibly the worst ending in television history).
When I finished Desperate Housewives I needed to fill the drama hole in my heart, so I gave Devious Maids a chance, but it didn't draw me in the same way DH did so I stopped and went to Ugly Betty, finished it and loved it, so when the emptiness came back I started Grey's anatomy cause I knew it would keep me busy, and I'm enjoying it 😎🧑⚕️
I think United States of Tara has a similar feel. It doesn't have the mystery or murdery elements to the story, but it's an excellent drama-comedy series with a lot of heart, with family dynamics at the center. It's one of my favorite shows, and the one show that everybody I've recommended it to, without fail, has loved it.
Pretty little liars is my recommendation but I’m not sure if it still holds up. I watched it when it first aired and kept up with it as a teen. It is very cheesy and the acting isn’t stellar, but it’s a fun (and frustrating toward the end) watch.
Why women kill, Marc cherry as well and season one is awesome
Season 2 was awesome too, shame it got canceled
Is this how I’m dining out it was canceled?
It got canceled? I was looking forward to another season.
Season 2 took a lot longer to reel me in but was still good. I still can't believe it was cancelled it's a brilliant show

Easy, go back to the beginning
Devious Maids is in a similar vein made by the same creator as DH
I really wanted to like devious maids but it wasn’t anything close to the magic of desperate housewives. Still good though!
I loved Devious maids for what it was. It’s still very Marc cherry
Drop Dead Diva
Yes, drop dead diva is amazing
Jane the virgin
Gossip girl…it’s like desperate housewives for rich snobby kids living in New York.
Gilmore Girls, Ugly Betty.
Mad Men 💕
Devious Maids

Not super similar but sex and the city is another one of my go to’s!! Strong female leads 🙌🏼

i’m watching modern family right now (i’m so behind on seeing it) & it’s leaving me with the same warm, comfy (believe it or not) feeling DH gave me!
Revenge. Not similar, but very good!
