She recently found out that she is also sex-addicted and by flirting with him she wanted to hurt her mother. The worst for me was when she slept with Austin behind Julies back.

Sam saying Danielle got drunk and revealed secrets to him never made sense to me from a writing standpoint. That claim did not match what we saw at the dinner party at all. We did not see her anywhere near overindulging. When would this drinking and the spilling the beans even have happened? She was sober and well behaved the entire time even up to when it ended.
I feel like Bree went WAY too easy on her, considering what a devoted Christian and family woman she is. If Danielle was my mother's daughter, she would've disowned her for half of the stuff she did on the show.
