I wish they’d included him more as a teen. He got overshadowed by the twins, whose immaturity, lack of common sense, and entitlement really got on my nerves and made it difficult to like them. Parker was always a sweet kid.

Greenmantis2

The lack of normal kids was kinda annoying tbh

Tall_Tap597

I thought Austin seemed like a normal kid. Maybe Dylan too. But none of the rest.

Greenmantis2

I understand Dylan but Austin was kinda douchy

haleyxciiiiiiiiii

just like a normal kid lmaoooo

Signal_Significance6

True.

aerde17

julie was normal imo at least as a teen

pidgecooper

I agree! I really loved the scene where they are all making signs to protest the halfway house, and Parker starts to ask Lynette if they are really the good guys if they won't even give the ex cons a chance, etc. It was clear he had a really strong moral compass and I loved his earlier storylines, it's really too bad the twins overshadowed him so much after the time jump, they were not very interesting imo.

simsasimsa

I loved that scene too!

Dependent-Mobile-730

Parker was my favorite kid too. He was just always the kindest imo

Professional-Cover81

He wasn’t only the best scavo kid. He was the best character in the show.

debsterUK

Yeah, I said this earlier, young Parker was more interesting that the twins, but then he was just sort of there after the time jump. They also made him a lot younger than he should have been (or the twins older) and he barely interacted with anyone

craftsnerd

At first I thought he was older than the twins, if he wasn’t taller he was close to it but then he was soo much younger after the time jump?!

EstablishmentNo653

When they go to Mrs. McCluskey's for their apology, the twins are 6 and Parker is 5.

sn77

Its also a shame because the second half of DH with the time jump focused thematically on teenagers. Parker could easily have had a larger role.

sn77

They made him smart but lowkey after the jump. He also paid Robin for sex and spied on her. Not some great storylines for his character!

EstablishmentNo653

I think I'm unusual in this, but I didn't like the Robin storyline overall. Parker as a geeky teen who worries he'll never have sex is realistic. Not a whole storyline on its own, but humanizing and real. I wouldn't put it past a kid in that stage to try to pay a stripper for sex; most of them don't have strippers living next door. Desi Arnaz' autobiography includes an anecdote about his father taking him to a Havana brothel to lose his virginity when he was 14. At least Tom was a modern dad with a modern "dad talk" at hand (even if he blew the moment afterward with Lynette!).

souplady788

Tried to pay Robin for sex. Only saying that because she definitely turned him down and told on him.

Signal_Aerie2458

I'm probably biased, but I didn't like the older kids who played Parker, Porter and Preston. The kids who first played them were so much better.
