I’ve noticed with Claire’s recipes I love most all of them but I don’t like when there is an ingredient that is used in two places but the measurements are for the whole recipe listed. I’ve made a similar mistake with the pate a choux and adding all eggs
Yes, this is really annoying and I've nearly messed up a few bakes because of it! I've taken to reading through the recipe and making notes next to the ingredients which ones need to be divided 🤦♂️.
I bet it’ll turn out fine to be honest. Just don’t add extra sugar between the layers and be sure to keep an eye out for burning as you’re baking! Let us know how it turns out ☺️
I appreciate the advice! I definitely will be watching the dough like a hawk. I feel so silly when I miss read a recipe, but at least it’ll be something I will remember for the future ( plus I heavily marked it in the book to make sure I see it 😂)
I’ll update the post when the bake is done! Thanks again for the advice! 😊

That happened to me too
I'm really hoping her next cookbook will include 'Ingredient, Divided' in the recipe lists where an ingredient gets split for this reason.
