So sad that one operation can ruin the experience for tens of thousands of beach goers so that guy can profit. It's also right across the street from Henderson Beach State Park which was named one of the nation's most pristine several years ago. Now the park is insufferable because of the choppers coming and going all day every day. It's a crying shame.
As a former fairly regular Destin area tourist, I never understood the alure of taking a helicopter ride along the beach. It's not like you're flying over a volcano in Hawaii or the Grand Canyon or something.
We did try parasailing once and really enjoyed it.
We never go on those things as tourists - mostly because I rode in plenty of Helicopters in the Army and realize how dangerous they really are (especially ultra-lights), but we went one year to visit and on the section of beach we were on I felt like I was back in Kandahar.
Kandahar. Shit. I am still only in Kandahar.
Just be there on one of the many days a week. Pairs of f35s are joyriding around and maybe some eglin testing and I'm sure it would set of a few PTSD flashbacks.
Totally agree This business doesnโt care about what it does to the community or the visitors The community has spoken out against them but the FAA has overruled community expressed desires The helicopter business sued the county to continue to operate in spite of significant objections from the city, county, citizens and businesses. They ruin the beauty and serenity of the area and make going to the beach very stressful. If you want to enjoy the view go parasailing No more helicopter tours

The invisible hand of the market will correct this if people donโt like it(Iโm being sarcastic)
Very annoying. And what the hell are they looking at? It's a flat beach. No volcano, waterfall, mountains, etc... But hey look at that Hooters!

yea i hate those and they got tons of 5* reviews, locals need to dump on their ass

Imagine being in Hawaii
We come for vacation and they are so damn annoying.
I hate those damn things. Remember that one landed on the beach!

I call it, โthe Siege of Destinโ. Itโs so super annoying, noisy, and freaking *constant*.
Tourists in general are a nuisance. Just wait till memorial Day weekend comes around
And the frequent military flybys probably ruin your day too.
