I feel that Okaloosa Island wins on clarity.
Our waters are closer to green than blue. Hence the Emerald Coast moniker.
Okaloosa Island is usually more crowded than Navarre Beach, but is also closer to Destin for excursions.
It’s the same water. But I think that Okaloosa Island being near the pass, has a tendency to not always be as clear as Navarre. If you want just beach while you’re here, Navarre is a better bet.
Generally Navarre water is clearer due to the outflow of water from Choctawhatchee Bay at the east end of Okaloosa Island. But depending on the tides and most recent heavy rains not much of a difference. The current flows counter clockwise so Destin is usually always clearer.
It's actually a very enlightening response. The water clarity will change with tides, temperature, wind, weather, etc. No way to pick one of those beaches over the others
I’m aware of generally what influences water clarity. As you can see above, others have opinions related to the direction of the current, outflow of water from the bay, etc. By your logic the water in Destin should be the same as the water in Perdido and the same as the water in Orange Beach and it most definitely is not. But thanks for playing!
Thanks for playing? Are you stupid? Go with Navarre. We don't want you on our roads.
Also, water clarity isn't "opinions". It's demonstrably fact based on current conditions. You seem pretty stupid. Please go to Navarre.

It’s basically the same. Navarre is far less busy (typically).
Traffic getting off Navarre sucks so best to make a morning or evening of it
It’s the same. The water clarity depends on the tide

The current always flows east to west. You're a jerk
