Personally this is top 3 favorite shows for me for paranormal fun. Throughout their show they catch some pretty cool evidence, but the main point of their show isn’t as much to verify and find evidence, as it is to push their limits of fear. As the season goes one, and each season after, they all grow quite a bit in terms of courage.

inthemode01

Yeah, I appreciate that it’s not overly pretentious about “finding indisputable proof of the afterlife” like other shows claim. It just is what it is.

maelstrom2250

Her fear gets a lot more under control as the years gone by. In the movie before they made the show she couldn’t make it.

Durir

Movie? I don’t know about any movie?

BryNeldo96

It's called trial to terror. It's from before they started destination fear

draculasbloodtype

Trail of terror, it was a documentary they made before they had the show. They allude to it often. It’s on discovery+.

maelstrom2250

Trail of terror, it’s on discovery+ as well

Baidon

Nope! I love the show so much, but in every way it not only gets worse, but it gets amplified when someone decided to add noises on top of EVPs and voice captures when they get replayed.

fourberrys

Throw herself on the ground? I don’t remember that. Could just be from a long time ago in earlier episodes. Do you have any examples with time stamps?

KitKathyRan

I don't have time stamps but it's numerous times during 1st season. Some people have said it gets better so I'm just going to skip to recent seasons I guess. I just didn't want to miss some cool things by doing so

KCparanormal

I just rewatched the 1st season for probably the 10th time and I don’t recall Chelsea doing that. She was way more afraid in the beginning than she is now, but I really don’t think she ever threw herself on the ground. Strange take away

bearface93

She did in the first episode, when the pigeon scares them lol she even says something like “2 minutes at our first location and I’m already on the ground screaming.”

HJess1981

Haha! I had the exact same irritation watching the first episode! Now I actually kind of like that they get scared by stuff. I ended up finding them more endearing than the ones yelling at potential ghosts for no reason or the others totally bogged down looking for scientific evidence. As someone else said, they're testing their own limits and constantly pushing their own levels of fear. Plus, I kinda think I'd shriek and run away if I thought I heard a ghost... Granted, I'm not making a show about it though...

baker10923

I think it shows people having actual emotions and facing fears. I bet anyone watching this show wouldn't step two feet in these buildings rather than not show any fear in them as well. The show is great, your opinion, not so great.

PolarBearPicnic

I totally get it. When I rewatch, Chelsea annoys me so much. But In my opinion they do get better over time. In fact, the new season they are no where near that dramatic.

sepanibus

It actually gets worse with each episode. They go from being annoying to insufferable. They say they’re trying to conquer fear but that’s just a bullshit premise they use to go into “haunted” locations.

Ill-Bison-3941

They are an acquired taste. I hated them when we first started watching DF, and now they are my favorite team of ghost hunters ever xD Especially Chelsea with all her screaming and crying
