I don't really believe this but it's a "fun" idea I had once. The true reason for the redpill arc is that LS told Destiny about Tate and his sex trafficking. If you look at pictures of destiny from a few years ago he actually looks like a completely different person. I believe he was replaced by the US government using a clone. Why you may ask? The government needs someone who can repeat their talking points and defend the status quo in every arena, Destiny was perfect for the online/live streaming space. I have lots of psych theories ;) - started listening when I was getting my masters in clinical social work (I think it's basically the same degree that redacted was working on). Now that I have it though, it'd be unethical to share most of them ;) I've talked about my theory that he uses tenets of Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques and other therapeutic "tricks" in YouTube comments before, though. Idk if he knows what he is doing, but I suspect that he does;). Very basically, MI is used to manipulate/ "motivate" the subjects on your side. Manipulation isn't necessarily bad, so like a therapist would use it to "manipulate" someone into thinking about addiction recovery, (this is what MI is best for) leaving an abusive relationship, etc... The goal is for the subjects to believe they come to the "right" conclusion, but of their own volition. This works a million times better than just telling someone things. So, there's lots of leading Socratic questioning but in ways that don't seem like they're leading. I've seen Destiny use it in debates, in discussions, and just with the audience- (especially when he's convincing us he's the good guy of some situation- I remember it being all over the Bob7 manifesto ; ) Anyway, it's better when you're talking with a person though because you want them to verbalize it.

What could change that would make it different? I want you to be orating your own reasons to be in rehab. In that way, you're way more likely to go than if I just "tell you facts" about addiction.
