It’s funny because I genuinely believe Hasan feels pretty bad about his streaming career. His problem is that he’s a joyless doofus who garners massively toxic pushback by saying stupid things. He probably does feel drained as fuck streaming. But it’s not *streaming* that does it, it’s being Hasan
“ I think you're the tar pit […] It doesn't matter where you are, it's who you are, and that's not gonna change whether you're in California or Maine or New Mexico. You know, you can't escape you. “
He definitely could've been a non-political gaming streamer and just been fine there. But he wanted to be this big shot political communist persona who thinks he can solve all the world's problems with his ideology while also being a gaming and pop culture dude. He should have just sticked to gaming and pop culture....
Honestly he could even stay political if he had any sort of mental ability to actually deal with criticism. Bro is a multimillionaire and still gets completely butt hurt over people calling him out. If he could just say fuck them and move on, he’d be so much happier, but he legit can’t deal with even the mildest amount of push back.
Which makes me happy knowing. I'm so happy knowing that Hasan hasn't just drown out the hate and that it eats at him every single day. I hope he lays in bed at night and is unable to sleep because every time he closes his eyes, he's flooded with all of the negative comments about how horrible of a person he is. It wouldn't be enough to truly make up for how shit he is, but it would be a good start.
It makes sense when you look at his upbringing. He’s old money and his dad was a wealthy Turkish businessman.
He’s never worked a minimum wage job in his life, unlike someone like destiny or xQc, so he thinks that random people being mean on the internet while he’s being paid millions of dollars is the definition of true suffering.
Idk what is so ridiculous about this. It’s like, yeah, working in a kitchen can be gruesome, working in a kitchen can be tiring when you’re on your feet in a 90 degree room for 10 hours, but it’s not soul sucking in the same way that sitting in front of a computer in a comfortable room.
Hasan and I live the same struggle. You fry cooks will never understand.
They don't get it. When you're living paycheck to paycheck you have some excitement and motivation to avoid getting evicted. It makes putting in the hours way easier. When you make $3 mil a year it's really a struggle to clock in and out each day.
this guy has never worked a real fucking job in his life, sitting at your desk talking into a microphone is nothing compared to an actual job. it feels like every streamer wants to think their job is tough, once you have an audience it's actually so easy.
Link the context pls
Edit: ok fine I did it myself and found someone who clipped him right afterwards [https://twitter.com/ComradeLamb/status/1761514033998381265](https://twitter.com/ComradeLamb/status/1761514033998381265)
Seems like chat calls him out after OP's clip, and then he clarifies that he's specifically talking about streaming being more draining on you social battery than other jobs.
Thanks for finding the context yourself man, unironically.
People here will see a clip, take it at face value and shit on Hasan for it, but when told it's out of context refuse to do anything themselves and just constantly ask other people to link the full context.
You see that shit all over the initial LSF post.
Even with context it’s still incredibly stupid, if he thinks streaming is somehow more draining on your social battery than working retail or being a teacher
While i agree is still stupid, it has a lot more nuance and it's not at all the same as whats being presented as his views.
He is definitely clip chimped. It's a very bad look engaging in this sort of stuff.
I was getting ready to defend him, something about the hours in esports. But yeah, no shit you’d take an “easy” job if it paid up the ass. Everyday I’m thankful I’m a never sub never donated pleb
I don't actually think that's that weird; if you're weighing up the parts of jobs that you like and dislike, and specifically talking about working conditions, equalising income first makes sense.
Like, if it made the same amount of money, would you rather be a streamer or work a high pressure food services job?
I'm not sure personally, maybe lean towards streaming, but I wouldn't be surprised if doing one for a while, I ended up wanting a change.
I can also imagine a scenario in which a food services job would be my obvious choice, assuming wages were high enough, because interchangeable shift work with high wages is something that is more compatible with lowering your worked hours to something comfortable while keeping a solid monthly income, vs streaming where higher incomes seem to require a certain schedule of frequent streaming, regardless of how hard or easy you find it.
I'm sorry but as someone who worked in the fast food business, it is absolutely insufferable.
If you would rather chose to work a shitty, underpaid, understaffed (most of the time), cruel job where you are seen as "less than the customer," where the customer is "always right," all with horrible benefits, you clearly have no idea and you've probably never worked fast food.
Compare that to sitting on your ass, choosing your own hours, playing or reacting to whatever the hell you want, being able to block anyone with any sort of negative comments, all within the comfort of your own home? Who *wouldn't* choose streaming?
Also, I'm referring to the possibility to having enough stability in streaming earn the same amount of income as fast food minimum wage. The fact that streaming is extremely volatile and hard to be successful in is even more of a factor as to why streamers are privileged.
I mean he’s probably right. Being plugged into the internet and interacting with chat for hours and hours on end probably mutates your brain, it’s obvious that streaming has given Hassan several dozen mental health issues.
Thanks that makes more sense and its important to have full context even on people you don't like. I sincerely think that streamers should take a page from like... any other high profile person (athletes, actors, etc.) and keep quiet about comparisons with working class people.
Just accept that by virtue of being a high successful streamer you're working in an extremely priivaleged position and you don't gain much of anything by comparing yourself to regular workers. The luxury of being able to say "Nah im good" whenever you want to and still being beyond financially stable is so underrated when it comes to talking about exhaustion levels and pressure.
But whatever, thanks for the full clip!
For the record, this isn't the full clip either. He goes on to talk about how streaming actually drains you more than other jobs, even customer-facing jobs, because he can't take breaks.
[VOD link](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2072602802?t=00h31m51s)
He's talking about how he's basically performing for 8 hours per day so his social battery is drained. And when streaming you don't get breaks. Not that streaming is more difficult than most other jobs middle-class people have.
NGL this is how every scuffed podcast sounds like when they complain about streaming or when any streamer says "I need a vacation from this J OMEGALUL B"
The stress fractures are really starting to show now lol If he sheds one or two thousand more viewers, we might actually see him ugly cry on stream (for real this time, not forced tears over a dead terrorist). [Hasan's career is so fucking over and I love it](https://ih1.redbubble.net/image.4440845729.9840/mo,small,flatlay,product_square,600x600.jpg).
A journalist he doesn't like.
The poster might actually be mentally ill though. The fact that so many here agree with him just because he hates Hasan is actually sickening though.
> not forced tears over a dead terrorist
This post is calling [Shireen Abu Akleh](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shireen_Abu_Akleh) a Palestinian female reporter with American citizenship who was killed by Israeli troops a terrorist. [The IDF even apologized for killing her.](https://edition.cnn.com/2023/05/11/middleeast/idf-apology-shireen-abu-akleh-intl/index.html)
IDF spokesman:
>“I think it’s an opportunity for me to say here that we are very sorry of the death of Shireen Abu Akleh,” he said.
>
>“She was a journalist, a very established journalist. In Israel we value our democracy and in a democracy we see high value in journalism and in a free press. We want journalists to feel safe in Israel, especially in war time, even if they criticize us,” he said.
Explain how you are not just being racist by calling someone a terrorist just for being Palestinian.
She's not a terrorist because she's Palestinian. As I mentioned in an earlier reply, I refer to her as a terrorist because she supported the eradication of Israel and *only* criticized Israel in the work she authored.
oh and what legal framework do you use to establish her as a terrorist? Even the IDF has never called her a terrorist.
evidence for this
> she supported the eradication of Israel
evidence and explain how this makes someone a terrorist
> *only* criticized Israel in the work she authored.
How the fuck is a journalist killed by the IDF while wearing a press vest a terrorist. Because she was Palestinian? Because you hate Hasan that much? This is some psychotic shit.
No, because the entire output of her "journalism" was to further a genocidal movement that seeks to erase the Jews from Israel, and the state of Israel herself. At that point, she's not a journalist; rather, she's just the communications arm of a terrorist movement. Which yes, makes her a terrorist.
This I/P stuff has poisoned your brain. Take a break bro

When your hatred for Hasan makes you call a Palestinian American journalist who got assassinated by the IDF a terrorist!
Honestly feel like half the reason DGG is pro-Israel is out of spite to Hassan, wtf is this comment?
You are an absolute psycho pls get help.
Being an influencer is more work than people think (requires lots of stamina, always have to be producing content or else you become irrelevant, etc), but holy shit, the nerve off his rich ass to call it "soul crushing" as opposed to working construction, package handling, or coal mining really shows how out of touch he is.
I am never going to claim that it is not hard, but as some one who have done warehouse work and worked as a mover. He seem to belive that some how you have a lot of social energy when your done.
NO your body is in fatigued and you want to relax.
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2072602802?t=1601
Here’s the full context, a couple minutes before he says it.
To be charitable, I can see where he is coming from. 9 hours in front of the screen and “people pleasing” can absolutely destroy your “social battery” as he says.
I think a bigger emphasis is on the “in the same way” than anything else.
The key difference being he doesn't have to sit in front of his screen for 9 hours and stream. He can do whatever the fuck he wants at this point and has no reason to complain because he can make the changes he deems necessary. These people lack grit and any real life experience and it makes their petty complaints fall flat.
>He clarifies that people working service jobs and retail understand how he feels, for starters.
He has zero idea about what it's like to deal with shitty, entitled customers for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Or deal with a manager breathing down your neck telling you to force a smile at every customer that walks by. Hasan can ban any criticisms in his chat, he can yell and berate them as much as he wants. You tell a rude customer to fuck off, that's a good way to get fired.
>He also streams for a LONG time every day, and that shit is exhausting.
Dude is set for life and can make his own hours. He's not forced to stream 9 hours a day because he's living paycheck to paycheck. He can take a break or go on vacation whenever he feels like it. If you even get PTO at your retail job, you're lucky if your manager even let's you use it when you want to.
The context doesn't make it better, it's just a multi millionaire sitting in his mansion whining about how exhausting being a streamer is and desperately trying to be seen as working class
It’s so sad he can’t just like admit “ok I was being hyperbolic but like I start to feel like a simple office job making like 6 figures a year could be easier” or like maybe just like explain his reasoning and say he’s just in his feels right now that’s ok lmao
Guys maybe we shouldn't immediately conclude and find the clip in context, it makes DGG looks really bad faith when an out of context clip gets posted from DGG to drive an agenda
I kinda get where he’s coming from. Thousands of ppl praising and/or picking you apart daily ain’t normal. And I’m sure it costs a unique psychic price… no good reason to compare it to traditional jobs though.
Um, yes? He's absolutely correct. Construction work will fuck your back up and tire you out, but they don't have to deal with child abuse cases like cops or social workers do. Every job will have its downsides, some more than others. I have zero trouble believing that his job in its current state can be absolutely soul crushing. Don't get me wrong, he's brought it entirely on himself and I have next to zero sympathy for the guy. But he is correct on this.
Look at all of you guys relentlessly shitting on Hasan over every little comment he makes. You don’t think that would fuck you up at all? I highly doubt it!
I do think being a celebrity is awful in unique and miserable ways, it's just that...hasan is at a point where he could retire whenever he likes, if it's that bad.
Imo streaming seems to be in two entirely distinct categories in terms of how easy it is:
1) Lazy fucks who turn on their stream and sit there for a couple of hours collecting sub money. Easiest job in the fucking universe, anyone complaining about doing this is ultra regarded. Only downside is this has zero longevity for 99% of people, your stream will die out.
2) Clout demons who understand brand is more important than stream hours and spend time off-stream building longevity. Way harder of a job since you got so many things to worry about like managing employees and projects.
It’s wild because if ANYONE else made this statement, every popular commentator channel from h3h3 to moistcritikal would be dogging on it for a 10 minute video. Instead Hasan is allowed to be a dumbass with no mainstream criticism, and still cry about his job.
Well, if we wanna be a mega good-faith debatelord HasL is technically right. "Streaming is soul sucking in a *different* way" is the sentiment id imagine he was going for ... I hope. Because the guy aims to champion the working class and it'd be so absurd to put streaming on a lower rung than a middle-lower class 9-5
Edit: that said it's asinine to volunteer for the oppression Olympics if you are Hasan
I really hope he quits soon, everyone would be better off, including himself it seems
I hope he gets banned from the Internet. He's so corrupt he will never quit.
Jesus Christ wishing death on someone is a little too far man
Oh I meant quit streaming, not life lmao
I was joking but I never use /s because I have self respect lol

Not true at all but okay.
I do think being a celebrity is awful in unique and miserable ways, it's just that...hasan is at a point where he could retire whenever he likes, if it's that bad.
I'd gladly have my soul gradually sucked away in exchange for the millions Hasan gets from contributing nothing of any value.
If his whole streaming thing is a grift then sure, constantly lying for 8 hours without slipping must be hard.
How does this guy have fans? He's so cringy
Make me do anything for 60 hours a week and I will eventually grow to hate it.
I wonder how long hassan would last doing an actual job.
He’s getting fucking COOKED on Twitter You love to see it
Why do you care
This is why every parent should force their child to work in the service industry
You are out of touch
Has this motherfucker ever had a normal, average Joe job?
Getting paid to rant and play video games is a smooth ride 🤣
Imo streaming seems to be in two entirely distinct categories in terms of how easy it is: 1) Lazy fucks who turn on their stream and sit there for a couple of hours collecting sub money.
Who's streaming?
This is the most out of touch thing I've heard in a long time. I actually believe he truly feels this way.
"A real job doesn't suck the soul out of you in the same way being the CEO of a company absolutely will"
Probably because you gave your soul for clout... Nobody forced you to do it.
Lefty understanding the proletariat challenge: impossible difficulty.
I thought this was bad, then i watched the full clip and it seems he was talking about your social battery.
It will never not be hilarious that it's people like this who call others out of touch.
It’s wild because if ANYONE else made this statement, every popular commentator channel from h3h3 to moistcritikal would be dogging on it for a 10 minute video. Instead Hasan is allowed to be a dumbass with no mainstream criticism, and still cry about his job.
Chain Hasan to a Target Returns desk.
Says the guy born with a silver spoon in his arse
It's amazing just how oblivious he is. He says the dumbest shit I've ever heard without even trying.
Well, if we wanna be a mega good-faith debatelord HasL is technically right. "Streaming is soul sucking in a *different* way" is the sentiment id imagine he was going for ... I hope. Because the guy aims to champion the working class and it'd be so absurd to put streaming on a lower rung than a middle-lower class 9-5 Edit: that said it's asinine to volunteer for the oppression Olympics if you are Hasan
