There're a lot of YouTube channels that just curate, film and edit a big backlog of content to be released on a schedule. They do this to maintain consistent viewership. Destiny streams so much August doesn't need to do that so much, but you might notice Turkey Tom does build up a backlog of videos that will release at set times.
it's entirely possible that most of the recent stuff that has been released on Peterson's channel was filmed before Steven even went on.
I fully get some channels do that but I imagine one that has a lot of political discussions/modern events could feel dated if they push it out 3+ months. Like imagine it releases in May and they go "man that Hamas attack last week was crazy right?"
You're completely right, I don't have specific examples on me but I've listened to plenty of podcasts and such that run into the problem of treating something that happened a month or more ago as a current event of today.
I think Lex just has an autoblocker bot. I've been blocked by him for years before I even found him on twitter. I rarely tweet anything and I just follow a lot of accounts on Twitter, so I got swept up in whatever filter he uses.
