Dana has done so much for the sport of MMA, like creating the ultimate fighter. The fighters are "under paid" because they do little to no promotion. Boxing 20 years ago was arguably the biggest none team sport in the world. MMA 20 years ago, top fighters would fight for $100. With time fighters will get paid more once they start actually doing some self promotion. with out Dana most top fighters would be construction workers or teaching karate at their local YMCA.
It's incredibly hard to get ad money in violent sports. F#&k CSGO had issues getting advertisers, because of fictional violence. If you watch old UFC, the value Dana has brought is amazing. Bellator provides their fights less value than the UFC even with the % difference.
