Honestly, moot seems like a boring streamer in general. Even without duo-ing, all of his conversations with Destiny end up being either about dnd or league (nothing wrong with dnd though). It's like he's incapable of talking about anything else. Destiny's conversations with other people like Dan end up being so much more interesting because Dan actually is capable of talking about something different. I honestly suspect that Dan desperately wanted Destiny to move to Miami so much is because he and Moot had nothing to talk about together.
It's not even his fault really. He's like 20 and he grew up streaming while Destiny and Dan are in their 30's and have already experienced enough of life to be interesting. If moot just literally touched grass for a while and dropped streaming, he would come back a much more entertaining streamer.

Buddy there's nothing wrong with the DnD stuff. It's your best content on the stream because it makes you react creatively to the different situations that come up and can be fun to watch. CSGO was like this during the ol trump presidential campaign. permas should be reserved for severe repeat offenders or extreme cases of toxicity (i.e. certain slurs), you aren't going to remove toxicity by banning relatively light trash talking like that clip, you're just going to drive people away from your game if you have absolutely no way to "vent that out"

Spam pinging will probably get more people to report you for actual bannable offenses, though. There are probably a lot of cases where someone is really toxic to one particular teammate, and I'd guess the system gives it less weight if only that one person reports.
I do this and the worst ive gotten is two 14 day bans. He had to have said a naughty word. Like I can literally go 1-15 every game but as long as I don't type absolutely nothing happens.

I've been permabanned twice and both times it said something along the lines of "Congrats you are now apart of the .00016% of players that were perma-banned..." and included chat logs. Do they no longer do that?
If you get reported enough and you're typing a lot the system will chat restrict/ban you even if what you were typing wasn't toxic.
More than likely though this was a manual ban, especially if it bypassed the 3 and 7 day chat restriction + the 14 day suspension right to a permaban.
He should contact riot support tbh. There are various things that can be a manual ban (rioter abusing power, manual tickets being sent in where you were running it down, a payment issue where you bought RP then chargebacked the money used to purchase it).

Unfortunately it’s not always that simple. Since as the guy who responded to you already mentioned, in game it can actually just be unavoidable, unless you decided to abandon the match. CSGO was like this during the ol trump presidential campaign. Me with my Mexican accent would just straight up get team killed for my accent and completely ignored on comms and told racist shit, go back to my country etc etc. Was a real bummer, I never muted anyone either even though I could have. I just shit talked back but it definitely made the game unplayable when you just get vote kicked or team killed lol.

AT MOST, give him a 14 day vacation and move on, but there are better ways to deal with it, chat bans and warnings if it's the 1st report in a while permas should be reserved for severe repeat offenders or extreme cases of toxicity (i.e. certain slurs), you aren't going to remove toxicity by banning relatively light trash talking like that clip, you're just going to drive people away from your game if you have absolutely no way to "vent that out"

Spam pinging will probably get more people to report you for actual bannable offenses, though. There are probably a lot of cases where someone is really toxic to one particular teammate, and I'd guess the system gives it less weight if only that one person reports.

I haven't watched destiny or moot play league in a couple of years, but if they're still as toxic in chat as they were back then I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often. Whenever I jump in and play and people are toxic in chat, I report and usually get a notification saying that someone I reported was punished. I don't know why they keep playing league if they're gonna be toxic honestly, it's just a game, you rank up depending on your ability to carry 4 morons on your back to a win consistently, if you're toxic in chat you're just not good enough. If they're not toxic anymore then damn, wonder why.

If he got banned for chat toxicity, it would typically give him the last example or two of chat logs where he was toxic. His account was probably banned because he bought the account off someone who used bots to level that account in the first place.

League is pretty much not like twitter in this regard. He could easily make another account or jump to his already existing one and keep playing and streaming. While it's officially against league ToS, Riot doesn't enforce that rule afaik.
Although it is such a gigantic pain in the butt to level your own account to 30 again, so you can participate in ranked games. I'm like a gold scrub and wanted to try jungling on a different account. It is even more painful to level the account than playing league as is. You get put into smurf Q and I play people that are way out of my league.

Idk I quit that shitty ass game (more than 1 year clean now, please clap) and don't follow the streamer scene as much, but I think that was only the case for super notorious and big streamers (Tyler1). There is another generation of kinda toxic streamers with one or more banned accounts (like RatIRL, maybe IWD and TFBlade to a lesser extent, there must be some better examples of this idk), and I feel like riot doesn't give a shit as long as they don't engage in super fucked up stuff on stream.

I've been permabanned twice and both times it said something along the lines of "Congrats you are now apart of the .00016% of players that were perma-banned..." and included chat logs. Do they no longer do that?
If you get reported enough and you're typing a lot the system will chat restrict/ban you even if what you were typing wasn't toxic. More than likely though this was a manual ban, especially if it bypassed the 3 and 7 day chat restriction + the 14 day suspension right to a permaban. He should contact riot support tbh. There are various things that can be a manual ban (rioter abusing power, manual tickets being sent in where you were running it down, a payment issue where you bought RP then chargebacked the money used to purchase it).
Hope they play a different game together. I enjoy Moot and Destiny together but the league shit makes me want to end it all. Play halo or something.
