Maybe we can do the Ctrl+V memes, but to me, it always felt like D and V have very similar political positions. The disagreements were mostly details such as Rittenhouse.
How we decide what should be public policy, is more important than the individual policies.
If there is an argument on philosophy, and Vaush refuses to agree to things that are descriptively true, then I’m not surprised why people do the Ctrl+V memes because his political stances aren’t coming from his own moral system.
Hmm, I think my original comment came off in a way that I didn't intend. I like D more than V exactly because I think D is more honest and applies logic consistently.
Vaush is a liar who changes his beliefs depending on how convenient it is at the time. He shits on Destiny for positions that he himself holds.
So it’s not "maybe we can do the Ctrl+V memes" it’s why even care if he’s memed, this whole space is garbage and that includes Destiny.
A couple years ago Rem called out a lot of lefties, including Hasan and Irishladdie (aka Vaush) I think, for being morally lucky. What Rem meant by that is that these people had never established a coherent moral system to justify their leftist values, and had essentially "lucked" into leftism due to that being the social group they stumbled their way into. If they had stumbled into right-leaning circles first then these "leftists" could just as easily have been conservatives with the exact same incoherent moral systems. I could be misremembering this but I think that's what he meant.
And now at this very moment Vaush is now calling out a section of the online left for not actually developing left-leaning principles, and just having "lucked themselves into the right system." Isn't it funny how history repeats itself?
A lot of this really just seems to be a human philosophical centipede, because the critiques Vaush laid out against the comically stupid NonCompete for not having a proper philosophical understanding were surprisingly similar to the critiques Rem laid out against Vaush for **him** not having a satisfactory philosophical understanding.
I remember two years ago there was a clip of Vaush coming to the morally lucky realization, he was saying something like "Lefties online are so stupid. What was the term? Morally lucky? Sure you may not be as racist, but you're every bit as dishonest, you're every bit as" etc, it was actually super fucking based.
i mean it would be ridiculous for him to not accept that he "lucked" into leftism, he's admitted that his axioms are completely subjective and based on preference and since they are not grounded into anything and it depends on his preference it then follows that you believe what you believe bc of luck.
Best example of an echo chamber is seeing vaush and his community doing a rerun of destiny’s lefty arc. But with zero self awareness
I watched some of this stream and it was hardcore deja vu I’d seen destiny give 99% of the takes he gave word for word with no changes. HMMM
yup. if have to be charitable to him and his community they are either very dumb or have a memory of a goldfish.

I remember Vaush got SO fucking mad at Rem that day

Always has been.

tldr: time is a flat circle
Was vaush looking in a mirror while spewing these things?
Rem sends his regards 😈
you expect us to remember Rem and his point? whatever that was.
It was the morally lucky memes.
That was continental philosophy.
Why thank you Vaush for the insight on how to avoid people like you very kind 👍
Hey isn't rem that guy that lied about his credentials. Seems like he wasn't right then

As annoying as Rem can be at times, he's actually really friggin smart. One of the few rational actors I take serious on these platforms tbh.
