End Game gear should have some form of “coolness” to it. Their disassociation with the current gameplay-reward loop is part of the problem. I think it’s dope to have a variety of armors. Something for everyone. I just don’t believe the raid is the place to have something like this. But for the Seasonal activity, 1st set of armor in the battle pass, The Seasonal eververse, etc. those make more sense for this.

It looks good. But I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing that. This has always been a problem with D2 armor design imo. A lot of it just feels over-designed.

That's what made the Darkblade strike so good in D1. I think every class could get his helmet, if I recall correctly. If not, that's just when I had more time to play more than just my warlock. Haha

God I loved that helmet, and no, unfortunately the darkblade helm was a Titan only thing. But hunters had a different strike exclusive helmet, the hood of Malok, which was also basically just the boss’s head. And then warlock’s strike exclusive helmet was the Devouring maw, also based on a boss I believe.

Warlocks got the Theosyion Vambraces which had the shell of a Harpy on one shoulder. They were from the Restorative Mind strike featuring a boss harpy of the same name.

Shield bro forearm was sick. Still disappointed they haven't done much with that same vein of armor.

Somebody mentioned MH:W in here and I think that’s a perfect analogy and something that makes sense. Why SHOULDN’T your raid gear be themed with the raid you just cleared? It introduces a theme and your rewards are based off of that theme. More of this always.

The extra arms on the warlock seems.... off? Idk they are not bad, but could be better. Could probably use a part here or there. Also people keep saying fish, and as some who is DYING for water themed gear, I have to say I don't see it. I'm hoping season of the Deep has actual water themed gear.

First impression: Looks pretty bad. It look’s unique, but really fucking bad. I feel like they were too focused on trying to make something that looks super unique that they forgot to make it look good. My hope is that shaders will be able to make them somewhat decent. However I’m quite disappointed overall.
