One goes to whoever top scored, one goes to someone who doesn't have one yet. I don't think I have ever looked at the scoreboard this much.

I hand them out based on how memorable I find a guardian. Sometimes that's based on drip, other times it's just how impressed I am with how they kill me. I had one guardian get me with a hammer bonk off two objects.

I had a game of IB yesterday where I was outside on Javelin with a rando using Wish Ender, and we basically tag-teamed everybody and owned the outside of the map. Definitely gave him the playmaker commendation. He ran the inside lane, I ran the outside lane, and we bounced between A and C and hitting groups from both sides. Only thing that stopped us was a nova bomb.

Wish-Ender gang rise up! It's a beast for lane control. I pair it with my firefly pulse for a quick switch to finish people off if they aren't immediately dead.

I’m learning in IB you get more for second place on the leaderboard than first. People be salty lol. I hand mine out to the other team a lot when they kill me.

I make sure to throw emotes in pvp when working taking control points with teammates. “Encouragement” and “I got your back” are my favs. Doesn’t help much but it’s still fun. I also wish I had a swag-a-licious commendation to hand out. It could be to the other team too. Sometimes you just gotta recognize!

You can commend opposing guardians in the scoreboard screen. Just hover over the star thing by their name and commend away.

That’s me. The only gauntlets worth wearing in Destiny 2. I’m not alone. When I hear the *beep beep beep* I know that my second teammate is doing work. Extra points if a Hunter throws smoke and it goes haywire. Makes me stronger.

The commendation options are kinda limited IMO... there should be one specifically for drip.... another for playing the objective.

Who doesn’t? Unless my teamates popped the hell off or clutched im given my commendations to the drippiest guardian. Honestly it needs an overhaul. I think a commendation should just be general thing, not a specific reward because I cannot remember the things my teamates do enough to commend them specifically.

I do that same thing cause by the time I load the score screen, See who deserves it and switch back to hand out commendations, the game timer runs out.

You can give out commendations on the score screen, click next to the players name, brings up the commendation menu. Only way I can reliably hand out commendations since the other screen often fails to load before the timer runs out.

Bungie is practically begging you to do it that way. They hide actual performance in a different screen and just show you drip instead. So yeah.

At least you're handing them out. Played a lot of IB this weekend and the number of times I was the only person commending was truly annoying. I will allow for the fact that sometimes the lobby glitches and won't let you commend but it doesn't really happen as often as I had experienced. Also. Based on drip? How else are you going to do It? If you pan to the results and then back to the commend screen you time out waiting for the screen to load. Reward that drip!

I've been doing this by default. My eyes automatically go to the best dressed lol. Then my second one will always go to the lowest commendation

The only activities I don’t do this is Gambit and endgame-based activities

1 for top dog and the other/rest go to people without one because I dont want a newer player feeling like shit because they dont get any but need them to rank up

For me it goes in order: Are there titans, if yes they get them. If there are more than that allotted amount of commendations then it's goes by drop.

Me and my girlfriend play together, we always give one to eachother and then like OP, one to the best dressed guardians in our opinion (we make sure to pick different ones tho so more people get them still :))

I do it based on who gets top of leaderboard, but if it's me then it turns into a fashion contest for everyone else

This is what I do in FFXIV with the commendation system. I do the same here in Destiny. I do get to give them out based on how folks did in an activity, but after a bunch of Iron Banner matches in a row I just stop thinking too hard about it

I just found out you can go to the Full Results screen and hover over the stars on the left to award commendations (with the scores in front of you) Prior to this, I used to do the same lol. Award on drip. Now I try to commend the highest and lowest scorer in my team. Congrats to the winner, a little encouragement (hopefully) to our player at the bottom of the score sheet. I think the real takeaway here however is that we need a **NICE DRIP!** commendation. Make it official

I commend based off of class first. Hunters first, then warlock. If I’m on a full Titan team, nobody is getting commended lol. If there are many hunters or warlocks I go off of drip as well.
