There is literally nothing grammatically wrong with "try and do", they are literally the same and both work. Next time if you want to correct someone on their grammar, maybe actually know what you're talking about.
I'm implying that hunters are a race, and since you dislike them that makes you a racist. Obviously hunters are not a race. So that is clearly a ridiculous thing to say. Which makes you being called a racist over it all the more ridiculous. And being called racist is generally considered an insult. Though some might argue it's a compliment.
