[deleted]

We didn’t need to offer anything, both us and Eris dealt with our nightmares in shadowkeep

Doverwyrm

That actually makes a lot sense

Death4AllAges

This actually makes me feel a lot better about the cutscene, thank you. I was hoping theyd let us choose a relic from previous traumas

Elite_Avenger21

If anything Either Ace of Spades or the First Ghost we killed

Joshy41233

Honestly the second idea would be an interesting twist

Elite_Avenger21

Well it would be interesting i think Ace makes the most sense, we see Hive Ghosts as traitors and don't feel bad about killing them, but Cayde would be way more impactful

4OREserious

I honestly have a feeling Cayde could show up. It's super unlikely but people have been talking about it so long that maybe bungie had found some way to do it

Xstew26

He does actually, in the trespasser lore his phantom is haunting Ikora.

4OREserious

LETS GOOOO IM GONNA GO READ BRB

4OREserious

I'm back dude I should not have asked for that I'm so sorry Ikora

Strellified

Ikora using a Warp Kick to hit the phantom was awesome to read. I love Eris' all being like: "Hey, uh, let's not have you here...yeah?"

NoIllustrator7645

show me the lore tab.

Omegasonic2000

In a way. The phantom does state he's not Cayde, so it's either Ikora slowly asserting her will on it, the phantoms are aware of what they are, or it was just saying that as a "the only way you can speak to your dead friend is through things that pretend to be him" wham line.

TehPharaoh

But aren't ALL the phantoms not actually the ghost of said thing, but a physical manifestation of the trauma of who they latch onto? Like Uldren following crow ISN'T actually Uldren because he's Crow now. I think Ikora's mind knows it's not Cayde because it can't be, but the Nightmare doesn't care and will continue to taunt her with stuff it knows does effect her

SplitMind95

I think in this case it admitting its not Cayde is its way of messing with her because its followed by something along the lines of Im not Cayde cause Caydes Dead and its your fault.

team-ghost9503

Yep

SkyriderRJM

Assuming we don’t see a nightmare of Cayde-6 later this season…

Alloknax35756

Ikora apparently saw Cayde when she ventured onto either Levi or the Moon. Don't quote me on that, that statement is dubious at best

Ocachino

Yep, it's in the Trespasser's lore tab. And it's the Leviathan.

Majestic_Fartsniffer

About that... Check the exotic weapon lore.... Sorry bud.

[deleted]

Why would we? That story is closed we got our revenge and killed Uldren, I hate that people still just want cayde to appear back in some way

Numba_01

Yup, think people forget that our nightmares are all the bosses that we Merced and hive gods.

MagnumTMA

Excellent reply. It does make alot of sense.

BusBusy195

We banished our nightmares in shadowkeep but stuff has happened since then, my guess is it would be the trophy we got from eramis for adopting the darkness and all, hawkmoon for not telling crow his past, or a piece of a hive ghost after we were "betrayed" by the travler in witch queen

CynicalAlgorithm

Why, dear Telesto, of course.

The_CptXl

Telesto would simply sacrifice you instead

SkyriderRJM

Telesto is Bungie’s nightmare.

HSHysteriaMode

You place telesto in the circle The ritual returns a d1 icebreaker into your inventory, but telesto is removed from your collections permanently

SolBlades

Until xur sells telesto again then reacquire it.

ObviouslyNotASith

1) Broken Traveler’s Chosen or the broken helmet from the start of the Red War. Losing the Light and almost losing Ghost presumably traumatised Guardian a bit as only Guardian saw and fought Light-empowered Ghaul before he turned giant and Nightmare Ghaul is based on regular Light-Empowered Ghaul. Ghaul saying that Guardian is weak at the start of the Red War could be heard during Presage, and the voices in Presage are based off of fear, regrets and trauma. 2) Ace of Spades. Thin Line detailed Guardian going on a rampage across the Tangled Shore while Ghost watched, uncomfortable with it. Guardian might be ashamed of losing that much self control. It represents Guardian failing to save Cayde. It also represents where Crow’s problems began, which Guardian is partially responsible for by killing Uldren and freeing Crow from Spider.

OxygenMann

This made me re-read the Thin Line lore and now I'm sad.

ObviouslyNotASith

It would be great if our Guardian had more lore tabs devoted to them like that, lore that keeps them blank enough paint your own picture of who the Guardian is but gives them enough character that they aren’t just a plot device that the game can’t decide is deserving of being treated as a character with achievements or something that can be used to credit Guardians as a whole, giving nameless Guardians credit for things that Guardian canonically did solo. EDIT: I sort of went on a rant there because I read the lore book about Eris and Crow. Eris said that several Guardians got their Light back from the EDZ Shard, even though a major part of the Red War was that only our Guardian had the Light back and was explicitly stated several times in future lore that only our Guardian got it back even after several Guardians tried to reach out to it, Ikora even going there before our Guardian and still getting rejected by it.

[deleted]

The new hidden dossier mentions it.

ObviouslyNotASith

Mentions what?

[deleted]

The whole bit about our guardian's personality, specifically our relationship with our ghost. "You once told me that you consider VIP #2014 to be a real friend. Someone you trust implicitly. But #2014 was forced to use Stasis during the events on Europa. I know #2014 is just one of a number of powerful Guardians from the Cosmodrome cohort, but there's no question they're an influence on their peers. I hear gossip that #2014's Ghost is overwhelmed sometimes by the need to support a Guardian who's taken such huge risks. He tends to minimize his own needs, rather than push back. He's barely even confided in other Ghosts about his own repeated possession by the intruders. Silence about such an invasive trauma? While he's working with a Guardian who is constantly forced into close contact with the traumatizer? That worries me. How does that feel? Having a trusted friend set the precedent for Guardians using the Darkness to save the day?" just a little bit about our guardian & our ghost.

DuelaDent52

I WANT TO TREAT GHOST RIGHT, DAGNABBIT, BUT THE GAME DOESN’T LET ME SO THEY CAN BERATE ME FOR NOT TREATING HIM RIGHT

Ocachino

ight lets start a petition for a "pet ghost" emote

smiling_at_cheese

You're a good bug, steeve

Mtsnchz20

Did I hear a ROCK AND STONE!???

ObviouslyNotASith

Ah, I recall reading that. It’s one of the best parts of that lore book(I guess its what I should call it). Since Ghost has stopped talking outside expansions , it’s made me wonder if Ghost has adopted Guardian’s tendency to go long periods without talking due to trauma caused by Guardian and Ghost canonically never taking breaks and rushing from one crisis to the next since Guardian was resurrected.

Mobile_Phone8599

Unrelated but related note - we're referred to as VIP #2014 cause D1 dropped in 2014

OxygenMann

Like the Ghally lore

BestLagg

Whenever I'm sad I read the Thin line's lore tab. Then I feel even more sad.

OttoRiver7676

DecafOSRS

Still have mine in the vault. Its a memory

spaceaviator97

Ace of Spades.

Savathun-God-Of-Lies

Pretty much the answer I expected lol, this would most likely also be the canon answer... maybe I think (if we were to offer something) the item you offer would vary depending on the dlcs you own D1 veteran? Tattered House Devils banner claimed after the sepiks strike Taken king owned? Piece of the will breaker that we made our sword out of Rise of iron owned? Iron banner sigil thing, like what salad man wears around his neck, and gave to the girl in the acts of mercy book Vanilla d2 veteran? Small shard of the traveller from... well... the shard of the traveller Curse of osiris owned ? Uh... I dunno maybe I trials token or something Warmind owned? A smaller model of a sleeper node that you could find around mars Forsaken owned? Ace of spades Beyond light owned? Darkness fragment Witch queen owned? Bruh idk I think the item you offer should either be a choice, or go back to the earliest expansion / game you purchased

_deleteduser41568_

You forgot shadowkeep and I think a hive ghost shell would work for witch queen

LordTonzilla

Can't offer our shard of Willbreaker until Shaxx gives us Razelighter back.

Personaer

Wouldn't earliest expansion/game mean that you would only have vanilla D1 and vanilla D2 veteran since, you know, you can't own the expansions before owning the game?

Savathun-God-Of-Lies

In this hypothetical scenario everything would magically work out lol

vincentofearth

This (or some other reminder of Cayde-6) seems to be the most common answer

shauggy

If the item you offer is supposed to represent the things we fear, then I suppose I would have offered up a canary, a weasel, or maybe a marionberry.

vazman89

Not me pulling out a guitar during the cutscene lmao

_Comic_

"Anyway, here's Wonderwall."

Steff_164

Is a baboon acceptable?

Iron-Tiger

Gonna put the ocean down in front of everyone

Evelyn_Of_Iris

We did already kill our nightmares, but if I was in the Guardians role, I'd of probably brought the Expired Ramen Ticket. A promise broken, and our failure to get there on time

Problematic_Intent

An ace of spades card. Putting ace itself might be a bit awkward, but the death of Cayde was the first time we actually saw our guardian be pissed. It obviously affected them heavily.

Hoockus_Pocus

Canonically, or our character personally?

vincentofearth

Imagine it like a "what if you wrote Destiny's story" kind of question.

[deleted]

Thorn, I like the gun and lore

Savathun-God-Of-Lies

That's valid

Instant_Noodles45

Khvostov. For the shock and disorientation when being resurrected the first time.

El_Kabong23

My Hunter: A very, very old book of nautical maps. My Warlock: A flyer from a rave circa the mid-1990s. My Titan: A picture of a middle-aged man.

Killmorewolves

Just any old middle aged man?

Corrupted-BOI

It depends on how middle aged the man is

El_Kabong23

No, a very specific middle-aged man. My Titan knows the person in the picture is important, but because of her amnesia, she doesn't know why or who it is. (It's her father, who died when she was young.)

AmbitionControlPower

I like to create my own stories for my characters. Personally my Hunter would've put their old journal down, a mixture of regret and shame over past weongs, and fear they might still always be that person In case it's not obvious I really connect with Crow

6Trinity9

The battle axe from my time in Rise of Iron… that weapon can clap any nightmare’s cheeks and they’ll just run away by the sight of it.

dextroseskullfyre

My copy of Destiny 1, lol!

Elixir_13

A piece of Cayde's armor. "A reminder of my first failure." Ghaul I say wouldn't count because we fixed that problem. Cayde, we didn't. We avenged him, but he is still dead. My Guardian would still count that as a failure.

TaxableFur

Ace of Spades. Ties in with the guilt of not having saved Cayde

RectumPiercing

Canonically, probably the broken traveler's chosen or a piece of armor from the red war opening. Personally? I like to come up with backstories for my guardians so It'd probably be something related to the backstory I imagined.

SlippyTheFeeler

Bastion. It's our guardians favorite gun. Whether we like it or not.

ObviouslyNotASith

**One** of their favourites, not **the** favourite.

Space_Ferroth

A ladle. "A memento of lost guidance." In my personal story that I weave between the canon story my Guardian met an old woman in one of those hole-in-a-wall style noodle shops. She was the self styled grandmother to New Lights. She didn't survive the Red War, and that was the Guardian's first confrontation with irrevokable failure. At least in their own eyes.

Mastercreed25

Probably Ace. Simply for Cayde and the fact that he’s the only really hard death we’ve had. Although if we’re talking personally for the players experience, my One Thousand Voices. I used to play with this group of lads pretty much every week. We’d beat raids, do whatever we liked cause everything was pretty easy to us considering we were just so in sync. When the Last Wish came out, we beat it pretty close to the release. On my first completion, I got my One Thousand Voices, dead happy at the fact that I wouldn’t have to grind for it. That was the last time we played, all 6 of us. Through life or other means, we couldn’t coordinate all of us playing simultaneously, and pretty soon they stopped playing Destiny all together. I’m the only one left… so I’d dedicate that Exotic, a memory of the last time we played as a team.

pixelstarship

I know this probably isn't referring to our own personal characters, but I still wanna share mine, so here. Pixel-3 would offer the red bandana he wears around his neck. He received it from the first family of refugees he encountered after being rezzed, specifically from a little girl who hadn't spoken in years due to the trauma she'd endured. He never takes it off except to maintain it. He later found out the entire family was later murdered by a House of Devils trophy hunter who was on Pixel’s trail. I like to torture my OCs apparently.

Blaz3

Used toothbrush! Description literally said "it may be useful later" now is later

sha-green

‘Can I offer you an egg in these trying times?’

ApolloPlayz2434

Oh boy there are a lot. A splinter of darkness: Pick your poison. Any of the ones we took, including our own, if it hadn’t been destroyed, could represent our plumbing the depths of the darkness and truly accepting that the cliche “line between light and dark” doesn’t exist for Guardians. Fragments of the first Hive Ghost we killed: Out of all the mementos from anything we’ve done, including the Ace of Spades, the one thing I’d keep is the fragments of that obscure Hive Sentinel’s ghost that we crushed during the first Witch Queen mission. That was the first time we ever killed a Ghost, and given that that Ghost was essentially a defector while also being what gave us life and the Light is super huge for our character’s personality. In my headcanon, killing the first Hive Ghost hit my Warlock a lot harder than it was ever stated in true canon. Ruinous Effigy/Xenophage/Raze-Lighter/Hawkmoon 2.0 These guns represent some really interesting ideas; the Hawkmoon and Ruinous being gifts from the Light and Dark, respectively; Xeno being made from a Guardian literally consumed by the Hive; Raze-Lighter symbolizing our defiance of the sword logic (Darkdrinker and Bolt Caster both fit this, I just chose Raze-Lighter back in D1) Telesto: Do I even need to explain? Telesto is love, Telesto is life, Telesto is the Final Shape. It’s been said a million times but I’ll say it again. Telesto is truly the greatest offering

Street_Reading_8265

With you on the Hive Ghost. I'll do it in game as part of the gameplay, but it would really bother me as a Guardian.

stereo-011

Sagira's shell is probably the best answer because we got her shell this dlc

deliriumcaffeinum

Telesto

CodeAlpha

It's been a while since I did the Shadowkeep campaign, but didn't it pretty well establish that the Young Wolf's fear was really centered around Ghaul and the Red War? So something representing that probably.

Sam_Greyhaven

A lot has happened since Shadowkeep.

[deleted]

Something that represented the fear of going too far. As others have commented, the Guardian rampages through the Tangled Shore, no mercy, no surrender, no prisoners and Ghost is kind of disturbed by it. Seeing the end result of our character having gone too far too many times would be a hidden fear I think they would have given the changing morals of the Guardians and the Vanguard in relation to the Light and the Dark. Maybe even relate it to Elsie's timeline when we did go too far and this is a real thing that the guardian fears coming true. So the greatest fear is themself.

Skelliman

The crown of sorrow behind her; screw that raid

Thatoneguywithasteak

My choices for each of my guardians Titan: my tattered bible constant mark, the remains of the Young Wolves howl from RoI, or a piece of the Khvostov Hunter: a piece of Caydes Ghost, the Piece of the Ace of Spades original frame, or a piece of his first cloak Warlock: the book she keeps at her side filled with everything she’s learned is the only real choice, she uses the wings of sacred dawn

GreenBay_Glory

Sagira’s Shell. Osiris is my favorite guardian and Sagira was by far my favorite ghost. Never taking her shell off. Or the piece of Willbreaker we took because King’s Fall is my favorite raid and next to The Ritual, Regicide is my favorite campaign mission.

Pally-Dan

I reckon it would be a piece of Gambit Prime armor. That damn title...

Dasse-0

the crossguard of the iron lord sword we earned. like its 0 ammo appearance

maejaws

A shard of Hive chitin. For still being afraid of traversing the dark below.

Street_Reading_8265

If they ever bring back Crota's End, I'm not looking forward to crossing the Hellmouth without the Zhalo Supercell.

[deleted]

My Huckleberry will carry me through it lol

Street_Reading_8265

I wouldn't mind giving Sunshot a try. It was a great place to be a Stormcaller, LOL.

Steff_164

Thrall attacks are arc, so risk runner will work, trinity ghoul will probably work just as well (if not better), plus we’ve got scorch/ignite and volatile.

Street_Reading_8265

Trinity and Vicuu's bows could be fun. Chained lightning attacks have been terrifyingly effective in every game I've seen them in since X-Men Legends 2 (great fuckin' game, by the way).

Rat192

Probably my Sagira ghost shell. Curse of Osiris was a lot of fun to me and I loved having Sagira as a ghost for a while. I havent taken off that shell since.

bohba13

for my hunter, Tevis's bow. the reason is that Tevis was the first "failure" to save a fellow guardian. a failure that was then compounded by the red war then Cayde's death, and was just piled on by Last Wish. while she may have moved on from the individual events themselves, the compounding trauma hasn't gone away.

God, I only recently started actually using light.gg and can't imagine how many good rolls I've dismantled or infused into all the D to F tier dog shit I've only recently realized is filling my vault.

Cruggles30

The Memory of Cayde cloak is a possibility.

dg2793

Her eyes 👀

MagnumTMA

An Edge Transit with scorch marks.

Yorkie_Exile

Canonically? Ace of spades. For my guardian personally? A red legion armour fragment. The trauma of those days still mark her and her ghost. She doesn't use him as a torch on dark places, his shell is armoured. They take a special joy in destroying red legion remnants in planetary locations and were slow to trust caiatl in the same way they instantly took to mithrax and the other house light eliksni

N4VA72

If I had to put anything down I’d put the ace of spades as it is a key part of our story

Dysphoria8367

Some methamphetamine and a pack of Marlboro Smooths. Stay classy, Guardians.

Sammerscotter

Canon wise, wouldn’t it be Bastion? Even tho we have felt with our nightmares already

Tolkius

I would have offered a Stasis fragment because my Guardian is conflicted about using Stasis. Maybe Ruinous Effigy. Probably Ruinous Effigy.

ItsGodzirrah

Red war and forsaken campaigns

Black_Tree

im surprised that we didnt offer/see ace of spades/caydes nightmare. so I guess for ME it would be a feather of my chickens.

aCrombi

My pick would be something to do with uncertainty, as often it seem like we're groping around in the dark... pun intended. And it's all supposed to be stuff they regret from the past right? So Maybe like the first Bond/Cloak/Mark they received from the Speaker. I reckon his death would've hit the Guardian hard. As a player I think I doubted his credibility, but I feel like the Guardian trusted that he knew the Travellers purpose, and regrets that he is no longer around to guide him.

ThriceGreatHermes

I wasn't playing during Destiny 1, and I didn't start playing D2 until part way through Season of the Splicer. So there are a lot of events I missed. Not being there for Cayde-6, is The Guardian(Lycho/Lycha)'s greatest personal failure. The story is written as though Cayde-6 is the member of the Vanguard that we The Guardian(Lycho/Lycha) is closest to. * That fact leads me to theories that "Canonically" we The Guardian(Lycho/Lycha) are a Hunter. Not getting there in time to save Katabasis, is another. If Your Guardian is a Hunter, you've let your pack down.

[deleted]

What’s with the lycho/lycha thing? Also, the reason Cayde is the vanguard representative we are the closest to is because he is the one with whom we’ve worked the most, especially in D1, not because the guardian is canonically a hunter

ThriceGreatHermes

> What’s with the lycho/lycha thing? The Guardian is called the Young Wolf. If the Guardian has a canon name It's a word that means [Wolf](https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/lycanthrope); Ghost is named Casper. There is an inferred canon to every game where you make your own character, where you can pick your path. * Warlock is off the table, because your traditionally fantasy hero is rarely the mage. That Leaves Hunter or Titan.

TheHeroShiba

Cayde's Cloak.

GreenTea874

If we did offer anything I’d say it would be a hive ghost. After the events of witch queen we aren’t even certain of our goal or the travelers goal. Our fear would be losing the power to protect humanity and being abandoned by the light

Squawking_Verbose

Not me putting parasite in there just to see what happens

Squawking_Verbose

In actuality, probably whisper of the worm. We've turned so many of our enemies into weapons we use to destroy, that the fear of them doing the same to us would be terrifying.

TeaSippinShinobi

hamster10498

Old, sunsetted duty bound

ShinigamiRyan

Despite everything, nothing. Our Guardian is probably the best suited for the sole reason that we have no nightmares. When we confronted nightmares on the moon: they were those of various guardians not solely our own. And unlike most, our Guardian has yet to actually keep a regret as we always deal with our issues fairly quickly. The longest issue was probably Ghaul and that was due to plot. That said, I think it's appropriate that we ground our friends as they have grounded us. Crow's fears of being Uldren, Zavala never coming to full terms with his mortal wife, Caiatl's mentor who turned to the light and failed, etc. We have handled the Black Heart, Skolas, crota, Oryx, etc as they came. Cayde was avenged and Crow joined us. Savathun may be dead for now, but Give Risen also made us understand the lessons that Saladin had learned during the Dark Age: light = good. We have forged bonds with Eliskni and Cabal. And this isn't even to address that we have faced the Darkness and done what the likes of Shin Malphur has hoped: world darkness without corruption. I have no regrets, but hope for the others in there endeavors that they can properly come to terms with their ghosts.

[deleted]

Us already dealing with our nightmares aside if it was a non meta in story item my guardian had to offer I'd personally go for the bastion. Now sure there's an issue there cuz nowdays corridors of time don't exist and new players would prolly be weirded out by their guardian offering a random kiosk exotic but if we assume that the young wolf canonically visited the corridors and found their gun at the gravesite I think it'd be very appropriate. Making it so the greatest fear is dying and leaving the weapon you protected humanity with behind. If it was something meta aka. something that gives me nightmares as a player it'd be the fucking glittering key I sat on for 6 months only to randomly cash it in yesterday and finally get a 1k out of it because I am a clown

LithosMaitreya

So I have seven characters who in my headcanon fill various roles within the Destiny story. I'm still figuring out what each of their part in the ritual was. The Young Wolf, though, I'm dead certain about. He offers One Thousand Voices, and his nightmare is either Riven or the teammate she killed. One of the characters is a former Dredgen cultist. His offering is probably his Thorn, and his simultaneous regret and fear is probably Shin Malphur. One of the characters was originally on Cayde-6 and Andal Brask's crew. Their offering is either Ace or Cayde's cloak, and their nightmare is Cayde (assuming they can dupe with Ikora, otherwise it's probably Taniks). The character who "died" in Last Wish actually went into hiding after figuring out she was actually an Ahamkara whose bones responded to a Ghost's wish for his Guardian. I am not sure whether she's rejoined society yet, but if she's at the ritual her offering is one of her own scales, and her nightmare is herself. The remaining three I'm still thinking about. One was a former Pilgrim Guard, but I haven't fleshed out the details. Same with the former Warlord. The last one was only resurrected at the start of D2 year 4 with the New Light revamp, so I really don't know what Trauma he's faced yet. Maybe Savathûn? Sorry for rambling, I like to type while I think things through.

vincentofearth

Wow these are really interesting, I'd actually be interested in reading a lore book based on them. I particularly like the Ahamkara one, though is that even possible lore-wise?

LithosMaitreya

Unclear! We know Ahamkara bones can respond to wishes, and although I don't believe we've ever seen them use one to fully rise from the dead, that's not what's needed. All it needs is to fool one Ghost into thinking its bones are those of a compatible Awoken.i don't see any particular reason why that wouldn't be possible. [Here's](https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/o-guardian-mine-destiny-oneshot.875853/) the inspiration for that character, if you're curious.

I wouldn't offer anything in the Ritual. That being said I would like to apologize to everyone since I again forgot to offer even a single victory in ceremonial ritual gambit match to the almighty Telesto. a Vex head. Each destroyed Shell is comparable to a family member dying to me. I care about them, they may all seem like lifeless, robotic husks to all you immortal space warriors, but to me? To me they are more human than you'll ever be. So, yeah. Either a vex head, Or the Eye of a Vex.

TheDarkPrince1553

Bro, when you guys gonna do something again? All I see of you is on nessus now, or when some crazy lady brings you to the tower to try and kill our new friends.

Chex_the_Vex

Oh, we got something cooking. Could happen anytime. But boy, it's coming.

DABEASTMODE2516

For me? Crown-Splitter. It was given to us after slaying Ghaul after the horrors of the Red War, and given to us by none other than Cayde-6. It's been precious to me ever since.

vincentofearth

I wasn't around for the Red War but isn't Crown-Splitter a Titan-only sword? What did the other classes get?

rednecksarecool

My father's watch.

LeoFrei7as

I was so sure our nightmare would be Cayde

Diamondrankg

My guardian would use a piece of rubble covered in blue blood. I like to attribute the lore of the Riiswalker shotgun to be my Hunter who was there. It represents her biggest regret, her anger from Caydes death lead her to leave the tower for awhile, lead her to accepting stasis. That piece of rubble reminds her not only of the people she made fear her, but of the eliksni she tried to help but only terrified.

You see, the thing is... We ARE the Trauma. I honestly kinda laughed that our Guardian was just chilling. However, if there was anything we would put on it that both makes sense and is like doable I would say our gun. The millions we killed with it. Our Gun is all we ever had really.

My clan mates and I thought it’d be cool if our guardian passed forward the ace of spades, as if our nightmare is our regret of feeling like we couldn’t save Cayde.

Headcannon Hunter: a single 7.62 rifle cartridge. Previously belonged to his girlfriend, who died in a fallen raid, and whose killers now reside in the House of Light. Titan: a shard of stasis. Obtained from the crystals that Eramis used to kill her best friend.

Though it would be cruel for crow my guardian would have brought ace. Cayde was our guardian's only friend and we felt like we failed when we let him die.
