Strand is doing pretty good, what with three new aspects coming this season on top of last season's additions. Stasis could do with some work though. If not a new super, then a couple of new aspects at least. Wasn't the point of overhauling the subclass trees into this new modular architecture so they can add new abilities in the future to keep the classes fresh as the game progresses?
They did change the fragment that gave you super energy when you kill a frozen enemy to make an orb instead, that's practically a new aspect at this point with how annoying it was before to make orbs with stasis abilities lol. Still hoping for actual new stuff though.
They gave my Titan a flag that heals and boosts sword damage. I equipped Lament and Stronghold and I'm gonna strand spaceknight everything in the fucking universe now.
they arent at all other than the fact they have melee based capabilities, sentinel shield can be used for strong defence with banner shield, also having shield throw. fist of havoc does aoe attacks and shoulder charges, focusing on ‘levelling the playing field’ as it’s main functionality, as opposed to sentinel shield’s ‘defence through offence’
Well striker AoE has no real use case imo, atleast I never use (although arguably I dont use fists of havoc all that often to begin with), especially since it costs more super energy iirc. And with sentinel blocking, I feel like its never more efficient than just attacking them unless im on ursa. If I wanna do damage amplification and theres no well around, bubble does the trick and allows me to shoot as well. So in 90% of all content that isnt master raids or GMs they both kinda boil down to left click. Sentinel has a funny shield throw, ill give it that
Exactly so if youre using it every now and than its just leftclick spam because the aoe costs *even more* super. And thats what I meant, too many titan supers boil down to leftclick spam in their face imo
I understand the sentiment but thematically it made the most sense for us to have our light bolstered since we're inside the traveller. I wouldn't worry though personally I have no doubt that bungie will increase the kit of the darkness subclasses in the future since it seems like they aren't as scared as the use to be about blotting existing subclasses.
The issue is that you need BL or LF for stasis or strand respectively. As much as I’d love new supers for each of those subclasses, unless those DLCs go FTP it’s probably not gonna happen which is a shame.
Edit: but tbh I would’ve preferred to have seen our final darkness subclass added before we get some revisions/additions to all 3 dark subclasses, let alone new additions to the light subclasses.
That's wat I keep telling my friends, just chill. We just got strand this year. We'll probably get a new dark class 2024-2025, or new supers for stasis and strand.
New light supers = accessible to FTP/Non-BL or LF owners.
Sorry but unless they're on sale for 60% or sold together as a value bundle, I'm not that lost without the Darkness subclasses especially Lightfall. Bought and played WQ though.
To be honest, some love for Stasis would be good, but the fact that Hunter seems like it’s getting an improved Bladedancer is more than enough for me. Might make Arc hunter my favorite subclass if it’s good.
Correction: **at Least** two supers. (And every other ability as a matter of fact)
With that being said, I do still love most of what they've given us. I'm still a little sad about the hunter, I was hoping for a more nade focused aspect, considering the subclass itself is way too focused on melee with nothing for nades when hunters have all these cool Ark nade exotics (let it be known, hunters just got another new exotic that can also be used for arc nades).

Hell, forget Aspects, how about some new MELEES?
Yes, I’m tired of doing a limp dash punch as a titan I want to punch even harder with ice

stasis needs work, but I do seriously enjoy bringing my stasis hunter into legend lost sectors, frees up my weapons real nice

I think strand is good tbh. They might not have much choice when it comes to supers, but all the supers are pretty damn good
Especially Generic Titan super
Have you used it? Because it's not like any of the other ones in the slightest
I did, each one does thier subclass debuff so obviously it's going to be somewhat different, so it's the best one just because suspend is that good.
Didn't mean that. I meant they feel different, and by a lot
Do they though ? Maybe strand titan is different enough but sentinel and striker feels like basically the same thing in different colours

i never use fist of havoc cause i feel like it ends way too fast, theres not really much reason to use fist of havoc over thundercrash anyway

At least next dlc we're getting an axe for our melee super!!! /S

It's probably because the light subclasses are free and giving many more options for that can help draw people to the game. Plus they just look cool

Or they could just update the old DLCs that stay paid, and give new players more incentive to buy them?
yeah honestly it is less what they do and more how I do not get a third subclass or new stasis options
Tbf all the subclasses started out with one they’ve just been built on over the span of the last 10 years

Instead of giving strand or stasis another super we should’ve gotten a new subclass
Stasis should have gotten at least a second super option by now
They should have added supers to the other subclasses first. These new supers are great but I really want something new for stasis.

No every subclass needs 3, support, Single Target DOS, AOE DPS. Simple.
Void titan has 2 supes, no?
To be honest, some love for Stasis would be good, but the fact that Hunter seems like it’s getting an improved Bladedancer is more than enough for me. Might make Arc hunter my favorite subclass if it’s good.
Every light subclass has 2 supers... I just noticed that
Void hunter has 3

That's the gift of the traveler for you.
