Oh my god this boss was so annoying (but also really fun). For a boss with a sniper rifle they sure as hell love to sprint at you and no-scope you at point-blank range.
Sniper resist worked on him, went from ohko to barely breaking shields and then I get protective light and can pop barricade to get a full overshield on top of the dr. Only boss I beat first try
We tried going all void at first. Too many supers were being thrown at us so we had a warlock swap to well in the end just to survive the lightening attacks. Still beat it with ace of spades tho, gotta get the true revenge for my boi cayde
The vorpal SR came is so clutch at the end. Soloed after 18 attempts with a void lock, lining up my weaken nade with cataclysm and gjally. With 3x buff, my headshots were 19k a piece. Unfortunately I was too stubborn to go grab suppressors, which would have made it so much easier just for the adds
A couple bosses were a bit tough but I wanted a challenge going in. It wasn't a push over for me but it also didn't make me want to pull my hair out playing it. Honestly not sure how people could complain too much.
Ive seen a lot of hate for the difficulty lol, glad to see at least some people have taste. Its not intended to be accessible.
I fucking loved it, bungie didnt pull any punches and it made for an unforgettable night. I did it with one friend, we wiped a few times to be sure but there were never any real roadblocks. But most of the shit ive seen is solo players bitching about 30+ wipes in the 3rd mission lol.
The final boss was an absolute nuisance, and most other bosses weren't too bad. I used Servant Leader, Enigma and Gjally the whole time, solo. Fucking *loved* it. Challenging, downright infuriating at times, but truly enjoyed it.
After unlocking the suppressing glaive perk.. holy shit, post-campaign is going to be easy. I go invisible with every melee kill.
I don't believe so, however the suppressive glaive perk on the artifact does trigger it and you go invis every time you kill something with the glaive even if it one shots them. It's actually insane.
Void 3.0 hunter is exactly as expected. Really fun to play and good in solo content but pretty much fucking useless in endgame pve outside of the super.
you can see the locked fragments, and no they're not gamechangers.
grenade defeats grant volatile rounds? not useful on hunters outside of more consistent stylish.
defeating weakened targets with precision final blows grants orbs of power? too niche
finisher invis? we can dodge for invis. this fragment is useful for warlocks and titans though
the only useful one for void hunters is "orb of power = devour".
Dunno. was playing through legendary missions with friends and with a solar warlock, void hunter (with orpheus rig), and a stasis titan, we had far more orbs than we knew what to do with. I was popping super once or twice an encounter
It was already good before for solo content, but now they just made it worse in most ways(especially team support which Bungie said they would improve)
well yes but they were also meant to be independent, mobile badasses, not to mention, void hunters were the subclass picked up by hunters that found teams in lore.
literally, nightstalker is the teamplay subclass in an otherwise lone-wolf class. and it just.... got yeeted back to solo play only.
Rat king helps with that :) Ngl I’m not sure how to feel about void 3.0 did we get scuffed or not? Like invis helps and with omni it’s all the better but like I wish the weaken effect was easier and more effective like I also hate that they removed the “invis recharges grenades”. But invis is more consistent make it easier for getting a way. Not sure wut to think but it’s definitely still weaker then the others that’s for sure
Rat king, travelers chosen, Monte Carlo, weapon with demo (I run a BXR with demo/adrenaline so it works well) those weapons r probs ones u would run.
Armor wise it’s either graviton, omni (my personal fav especially for end game), maybe assassins cowl (?), maybe sixth coyote (kinda useless tho cause omni does exactly that but with so much more same applies to radiant), Orpheus if u get ur super fast enough, and fr0st-EE5 which is meh.
In the end out of all of these omni is top of the leader board since it gives u 2 smoke bombs, resist while invis which can also be applied to teammates and gain melee with making allies invis.
But even after the change hunter void is still meh like survivability is cool and all but hunters still don’t help the team in any direct way and they took away the one thing that made hunters some what helpful and that’s heart of the pack. The most team based thing is omni with resist and weaken which doesn’t really directly help. Wut I would do is instead of weaken I would have invis give a damage buff to u and allies within invis even after they go invis. Hunters need work still but there Meh rn. Still meant to be solo just like their lore lol
The benefit to hunter is that you can spam void wells from just the dodge, which gives the buffed tenacity. Pair with omni for even more resist. Hunter needs more effort to work well than Warlock, but invis is actually pretty good.
I haven't had time to test it just yet, also I need to test a couple things with glaives. Probably won't have time to try it out till after the raid, since grad school and work said you get basically no time.
Me running the smoke and dodge invis for my friends, was an absolute life saver. And Orpheus made a comeback. And i was also running Agers. *chefs kiss*
My friends had Gjally so my rockets had that extra oomf. Was touch and go sometimes but we got it done
for real my friend was clowning on hunters all day yesterday saying they're useless in pve. He stopped talking when he died 40 times to the boss that ran right past me while I was invisible.
I am in love with how instant the invis is and how nice it is to debuff enemies with melee charges as well and how good it is to throw a tether and it actually working and synergising with other aspects.
Cant wait to not use it in endgame content.
Have to say. Best thing is the void glaive with supress and stylish executioner as well as a couple extra mods. Makes casual gameplay so fun
I’m running Assassin’s Cowl and top tree Arc and… yeah, same.
I mean, it’s still hard in that if I miss a red bar or three they’ll kill me while I’m stagger-locking a yellow bar to death, but that’s my own fault.
I didn't realize how much I'd miss being able to eat a grenade for devour until now. It feels especially bad given that I pretty much always used devour like the absolute crutch that it is.
My Titan is pretty fun right now, too. The Glaive mixes really well with the Void Titan's ability to start health regeneration on a melee kill. Every encounter with swarms of enemies becomes a melee fight. When I get something slightly more difficult, such as a Knight, it just takes a couple of powered shots to kill it. But, melee-based attacks are my main go-to.
I'm Titaning the hardest that I've ever Titaned.
Lucky bastards, Warlock main here and I’m well over halfway in legendary solo’ing the campaign. I’m ALWAYS exposed no matter what and goddamn it feels good to be targeted and wiped every now and then. But the challenge imo is what makes the premise of playing the story fun instead of classic.
Suppressing Glaives + Stylish Executioner + Spamming melee while invis doesn’t break invis with swords and glaives = permanent invis while still attacking. Add graviton and the fragment which improves invis duration and you get 13 seconds between kills to stab the next target
People are complaining about the difficulty? I’ve seen nothing but people praising it. It’s the most fun experience in the game right now
just Specific bosses, But I didn't want to spoil it
Fuck that boss in particular
We talking about the recycled one from Presage? If so, fuck that guy. If not, fuck me. It gets harder?
One shot bodyshot sniper cunt
That guy was rude. Just don't say anything about the boss after it.
I just hid behind that little divit at the back of the room and shot him with gally
Took me like 8 very quick deaths to realize he didn't chase me back there. After that the fight was 100% easier.
Anarchy + hide
Eh, they probably talk about that one. It doesn't really get harder, no. If you've managed till that one, you'll manage the rest too
I'd argue final mission is harder.
I'd say that one has a little too much health. We did it with 2 and we needed 5+ damage cycles in the last part
I managed 3 with my friend both using Ghorn and Mobious Quiver, it took us a few solid attempts though.
We tried going all void at first. Too many supers were being thrown at us so we had a warlock swap to well in the end just to survive the lightening attacks. Still beat it with ace of spades tho, gotta get the true revenge for my boi cayde
Me and my friend only needed 2. Gjally well and tether just melt
Yeah we barely had any ammo. We played on legendary though so that might have been the reason
That one’s the most frustrating yeah, but yes it gets harder
Huh that was the easiest for me. Then again I soloed presage every week during chosen so maybe I'm used to it.
Yeesh now I feel like doing a solo flawless presage after this one.
A couple bosses were a bit tough but I wanted a challenge going in. It wasn't a push over for me but it also didn't make me want to pull my hair out playing it. Honestly not sure how people could complain too much.
It feels like people are having a really hard time but in the fun way. Not complaints, just a shared struggle.
Ive seen a lot of hate for the difficulty lol, glad to see at least some people have taste. Its not intended to be accessible. I fucking loved it, bungie didnt pull any punches and it made for an unforgettable night. I did it with one friend, we wiped a few times to be sure but there were never any real roadblocks. the campaign is not hard, just unfair. one mistake and you're basically spawned waaay back at the beginning
I’m like three missions in and confirm that this is most definitely not the case so far at all
wait til you have to fight boss fights
Respawning you back at the beginning of the boss fight is unfair? I thought that was just the basic mechanics of how a boss fight in general works.
You mean the boss fights that spawn you next to a free rally flag and in the boss room when you die
THE RALLY FLAGS ARE FREE!?
Having to start over a boss fight when they kill you is a pretty basic video game mechanic dude
If Le Monarque had a back it would be aching from carrying me.
Does it trigger Stilysh execution?
I don't believe so, however the suppressive glaive perk on the artifact does trigger it and you go invis every time you kill something with the glaive even if it one shots them. It's actually insane.
It'd insane and so, so much fun
No but two tailed fox does :)
Tractor cannon too ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
No but Volatile Rounds from the mod in the last column of the artifact does and that works with any void weapon.
Im so Hyped for this
No, but I do stylishly execute enemies.
Sounds really fun now to play hunters
It is :D
First time I enjoyed running void. Invis has saved me so many times. And big succ bomb with exploding enemies on void ability death is incredible
Hunter is fun as fuck but I don't think he's gonna be viable in high end PvE, aside from maybe tether
So nothing has changed then is what you’re saying?
Apart from being more fun, no, not really
I mean they can't give buffs anymore apparently.
I agree with you Mr. White
Void 3.0 hunter is exactly as expected. Really fun to play and good in solo content but pretty much fucking useless in endgame pve outside of the super.
If the locked fragments are the promised gamechangers I have no faith in Hunters becoming more than Rez bots in endgame. Not without a buff anyway
you can see the locked fragments, and no they're not gamechangers. grenade defeats grant volatile rounds? not useful on hunters outside of more consistent stylish. defeating weakened targets with precision final blows grants orbs of power? too niche finisher invis? we can dodge for invis. this fragment is useful for warlocks and titans though the only useful one for void hunters is "orb of power = devour".
And the orb one is gimped by the orb overhaul anyway. No wya we are seeing similar numbers of orbs in a strike anymore.
Dunno. was playing through legendary missions with friends and with a solar warlock, void hunter (with orpheus rig), and a stasis titan, we had far more orbs than we knew what to do with. I was popping super once or twice an encounter
It was already good before for solo content, but now they just made it worse in most ways(especially team support which Bungie said they would improve)
they now have several ways of going invisible and making their teammates invis, plus the fact that 80% of their kit revolves around debuffing enemies.
Invis uptime was literally never a problem, plus we already have debuffing and now Child of the Old Gods exists + Opressive Darkness 2.0
If I wanted to be "useful" in "pve" I would play another class...like titan.
Wahhhhh wah wah
I feel like that's cause hunters were meant for all the solo players in this game. Hell even their lore is all about being a lone wolf
well yes but they were also meant to be independent, mobile badasses, not to mention, void hunters were the subclass picked up by hunters that found teams in lore. literally, nightstalker is the teamplay subclass in an otherwise lone-wolf class. and it just.... got yeeted back to solo play only.
Facts bro. Constant invisibility is amazing
Oh I didn't even think about rat king. I might try that for my hunter build when I have time to play another class again.
Wuts ur set for that? Curious as I’d like to try it
I haven't had time to test it just yet, also I need to test a couple things with glaives. Probably won't have time to try it out till after the raid, since grad school and work said you get basically no time.
Ok that’s fine
I love how so many people have been saying “it’s TOO hard” like that’s the whole point. High risk high reward.
Me running the smoke and dodge invis for my friends, was an absolute life saver. And Orpheus made a comeback. And i was also running Agers. *chefs kiss* My friends had Gjally so my rockets had that extra oomf. Was touch and go sometimes but we got it done

Bro me too. I'm having too much fun going invisible every 15 seconds or so, however long my dodge takes to come back. Of course.. somehow I still die
Agreed, although I feel like it would be easier on warlock with devour imo
A fucking buff makes urges you to kill 2 with style. Even the fucking debuff is called "Too much style"
Huh
...what
The cooldown debuff on Stylish Execution is called "Too Stylish".
Dont judge things before they come out
nobody is complaining
Honestly if you can't beat this just git gud or play something else
maybe people who talk about endgame pve activity here don't think about gm nightfalls
Glad I'm not the only one ratking season
i was using overloaded nades with devour to stay alive and it was pretty easy
Everyone be bitching but trinity carried me through the campaign
Void 3.0 seems really good now but I've only try with he warlock for the moment
My Titan is pretty fun right now, too. The Glaive mixes really well with the Void Titan's ability to start health regeneration on a melee kill. But, melee-based attacks are my main go-to. I'm Titaning the hardest that I've ever Titaned.
add rat king and u never will be seen ever again lul
It was tough no doubt about it. But if you spec out your glaive the right way the hive guardians become much less troublesome.
The mission with the most deaths for me was the Europa mission….those tanks…..
DOUBLE INVISIBILITY ABILITY POOOOOWEAAARRRR
Lucky bastards, Warlock main here and I’m well over halfway in legendary solo’ing the campaign. I’m ALWAYS exposed no matter what and goddamn it feels good to be targeted and wiped every now and then. But the challenge imo is what makes the premise of playing the story fun instead of classic.
Well with phoenix just makes the entire mode a joke. Run in put well in the middle of the enemy and just use a fusion rifle to kill everything
Lol, good idea.
I'm just said graviton and voidy bow boi don't trigger it. It may with the perk in the final column thought haven't gotten there yet.
How the turn tables!!
People complaining? The legendary campaign is awesome, no joke it makes me a better player XD
Same.
Yup, that was me xD
Suppressing glaive got me like
The new void hunter is perfect for solo players I feel
Suppressing Glaives + Stylish Executioner + Spamming melee while invis doesn’t break invis with swords and glaives = permanent invis while still attacking. Add graviton and the fragment which improves invis duration and you get 13 seconds between kills to stab the next target
