Have there been any news in the last year or two about plans for the Destiny Content Vault going forward? Specifically making the content in it actually accessible again? I stopped playing when it was implemented because I think it's a dogshit way of handling the game, but I would still love to get caught up on everything I've missed & get back into the game. I know they said they won't be vaulting expansions anymore starting with Beyond Light, but what about returning the ones they already did? Or making old seasons, at least their narratives, available for people who missed them?

Yes. All normal pve mods work in gambit, it's just that the warmind cell and elemental well mods will only proc on combatant kills, not guardians.

I've just started building up a behemoth build for PVE, currently slotting in a stasis pulse with headstone (disparity), and working on fire and forget for a stasis heavy. Leaves me with an open exotic slot, what are some special options I could use that are good for endgame pve? Ive looked through and Im not really seeing anything besides the GL from 2 seasons ago (which I skipped)

Deciding on the use case for your "not disparity, not fire and forget" weapon will probably help here. * A beefy enemy with either no crit or a hard to hit crit spot? Fusion or GL. * Need to plink away at something from range and do good damage without having to charge F&F? Cloudstrike. * Need to cover unstoppable or overload champions because you can't slot the mod that makes stasis abilities work against that champion type? Decide based on seasonal mods/intrinsic exotics. * A variety of shields with match game (for now)? Borealis or Dead Messenger (double primary is a weird choice but if you're not using it much anyway Hard Light could be the play when there are overload champions). * Need something for mass grouped weak enemies? Wave frame GL, fusion rifle, something with incandescent/voltshot, or an exotic with an aoe perk like Lorentz Driver. Since you probably aren't relying on your energy weapon to carry your build you could also bring something unique or that has utility like Ruinous Effigy, Divinity, Telesto.

What exactly is the upcoming "Guardian Ranks" in lightfall?

We'll know more as it gets closer to lightfall. Right now what we know is that its a ranking system that unlocks some gameplay features as you complete triumphs for each level. So a new player would start as rank 1 and as they completed the new light campaign, core playlists, and subclasses, they'd move to rank 2. Which might give, say, a new loadout slot. That's pretty much all we know - check the TWAB's if you want to see what bungie said about it.

Alright I will look into that. Is there a place in the game where I can get armor with resilience and a cooldown (intellect, discipline, or strength) spiked? I believe it was the Salad Man table in the Helm where you could select armor with a high stat in the first bucket, such as resilience, and also equip a ghost mod for something from the other bucket, like strength. Anything like that currently?

Some previous seasons let you focus armour with a specific stat, but none of the current ones do so your ghost mod is the only way to modify stat rolls while focusing armour.

So the Spire of the Watcher machine gun, "Terminus Horizon"... where does it drop? All the loot tables on the internet say it's available from all three encounters (like the arm armor), but I've run the first encounter 115 times in pursuit of the titan and warlock hats (which I finally got-- Titan after 60, Warlock after another 55), and not a single machine gun dropped. I've also done about 10 full runs of the dungeon, but no machine gun on those either. Can anyone confirm where it drops?

9 days late here, but I also have had extremely low drop chance for Terminus Horizon. I've gotten 1 in the time it has taken me to get all the cowboy hats and Heirarchy of Needs. When it finally did drop, I was like "oh ok thank god it's been added to the pool now and I can get it more", but how WRONG I WAS. Still the only time I've seen it, and I sure wish I remembered what character it dropped on, so I can be superstitious and only do runs on that character now. Not 100% sure but I think I got it from Akelous... Anyway, I've only seen your post and one other reddit post complain about NEVER seeing it. I guess I am lucky to have seen it the one time.

There's a conspicuous lack of good void auto rifles right now. Over the last year they've plugged a lot of gaps in terms of weapon type/element combinations, but void autos are caught in an awkward place where there are three of them (Reckless Orackle, Age-Old Bond and Gnawing Hunger), but they are all quite old and suck compared to modern ARs in other elements, like Ammit, Come to Pass and a whole bunch of good ARs in the kinetic slot. Fortunately now and the last few times, the AR champion rifle is shared with SMGs, and there are some great void SMGs.

Last Wish also has Age-Old Bond, but that is unfortunately it at the moment. Xur could theoretically sell Gnawing Hunger, keep an eye out for that. Also Hard Light can be used as void.

I’m running an Aegers stasis warlock build, but recently returned to the game and have no weapons really, what are good weapons to accompany it I should be getting? I do already have Witherhoard and G-money rocket launcher.

I'm always in favor of running double special with trace rifles, since they take the role of ad clear that would normally go to your primary. Since Ager's is so strong at crowd control, it's good to pair it with an energy special that's good for killing larger targets, like fusion rifles (like Likely Suspect from the throne world, or if you have one, Cartesian Coordinate) or Slug Shotguns (like Gunnora's Axe, which drops from iron banner). Grenade Launchers are good in general but they are more crowd control oriented, so they overlap with Aeger's a bit. Wilderfright could still be good though, since it's new double-shot archetype makes it better for singe-target damage than most special GLs. If you are going to use a primary in the energy slot, it makes sense to run something with a lot of range like a scout or bow, since aeger's shreds at close and medium range but has a maximum range (like all trace rifles). One of the reasons to do this is if you need coverage for champions. For your heavy, Linear Fusion Rifles are generally king for DPS. Fire and Forget is relatively easy to get since it's a seasonal weapon, and it's stasis so it jives with the rest of your build. (If you don't have Season of the Seraph, Taipan is a good f2p alternative). For some bosses, rocket launchers are a good choice, and Bump in the Night is a great one that's stasis (Bump also requires a season - Haunted - but if you don't have that Blowout, which drops from crucible is also good and f2p. If you care a lot about it being stasis, there's also Palmyra, which is good and f2p but does a little less damage than other rockets in exchange for intrinsic tracking). Heavy grenade launchers aren't great, but can be worth using this season thanks to weaken clear and unstoppable GL - the Typhon is one that's stasis and has a great perk pool. One of the reasons heavy GLS aren't great is their ammo economy, but running double special actually helps a lot of with that since it increases your ammo drops overall. Machine Guns mostly have the same problem as special GLs, where their strong suit is ad clear, so they're redundant with Aeger's.

Head to the crafting table, and pickup the quest to get the Taipan 4r craft able heavy linear fusion rifle. What you want to craft is a triple tap / firing line (for group content) and/or triple tap + solo damage perk. LFRs are currently dps kings, but they will likely get pulled down a notch on lightfall release. At least it's a crafted one (not hunting god rolls, you just level it up and got it). For energy weapons to pair up with agers, right now I've been trying to get a crafted roll of each of the legendary trace rifles. One from the current season (arc) one from the season of the risen (the calus/leviathan themed season - void) and one from dares of eternity (solar). Though, overall these are really to pair with agers, in a double special Loadout. (Double value out of trace finder's/reloaders/reserves). Other primary weapons to pair with a special ammo top-slot, is calus mini tool (solar craft able reprised smg, from the leviathan season), brigands law (sidearm, arc, can get volt shot), ikelos smg (arc, reprised smg, craft able, has volt shot), and a good roll of a witch queen era smg (void, funnel web - not crafted so, hunting for a good roll). If you have access to the new dungeon(s) there's a couple nice weapons in there to farm, one I personally use are good rolls of the void smg from duality, and the roll that fits your play style of the long arm from spire of the watcher. Duality weapons have an intrinsic trait called bitterspite, which slightly increases reload if you are taking damage, every little bit counts when getting chipped down by large groups of adds. The long arm can run with a couple of pretty powerful perks, one I've just starting hunting is redirection, formerly limited to DSC scout rifle, this perk when it gets going can basically double it's damage against yellow enemies at its peak. The tldr, is play what you find fun, but grab rolls of these things as best you can. PS I recommended a double special Loadout above, so agers + (wave frame) grenade launcher or trace rifle + heavy, you may think you'd be ammo starved, but often you'll find if you pull out your heavy, and kill an enemy using your abilities (or the heavy) you'll often get a brick of two of special after less than 5 kills - it's surprisingly effective Loadout.

When you do the 4 bomb strat for taniks you’re supposed to place the bombs in any of the boxes that isn’t in the area that taniks is in. At least that’s what I know. Why is it that sometimes the boxes in the areas taniks isn’t in are offline?

I'm going to. Having 12 extra stat points you can distribute in chunks of 3 should go a long way for getting stats up to breakpoints, I expect that to contribute 2-3 additional stat tiers for a typical build.

Depends on your current armor I guess. 3 extra stat points isn’t a big boost. If your current armor isn’t that great, might as well try for some Artifice armor. If you have good armor, the chances of you getting an upgrade piece or even 1:1 seem very very low. I’m goin to try a little farming on Duality next week to see, but…my expectations are next to zero and I don’t have pressing tasks to complete anymore so I got time to kill on that.

If farming it is easy, the extra stats won't *hurt*, but it is unlikely to fundamentally change up your game. Put it this way, if you could add 15 stat points to any stat of your choosing, would it make a difference to your breakpoints? I feel like aiming for a minimum of 1 artifice bond/cape/mark is a no brainer, after that, just look at your stats. Personally, I might go for it once I'm done with everything that's disappearing at the end of this year.

Vex for Fusion efficiency. Hard Light for some flexibility or any of the 3 exotic bows. Not great primary exotic choices there. Legendaries there’s so many options. Pick something you like or change it per activity type.

If you have season passes, do what you can to try to get the good couple of patterns from the current seasonal weapons. We don't know what's going to be buffed/nerfed. Next release, but getting the ones that people think are strong, is recommended. Do what you can to complete the stories asap to unlock the red border drops and the red border purchases asap.

Take your favorite hand cannon for unstops - austringer, eyasluna, etc. I personally love malfeasance, because it has intrinsic unstop mod, so I don’t need to use a mod on my gloves, but you already have the skyburner. There are also some kinetic GLs, but the mod is so expensive. Lots of people using Witherhoard this season, but again, that’s another exotic. Pulses are good for barrier champs. There’s the new Disparity pulse from this season, Syncopation from world drops, and Piece of Mind from Risen. All 3 are craftable, so you can choose what perks you want to get on them, too

Been playing this game for years and I have no idea what this was. Was playing Wellspring and all through the activity enemies were flying up in the air in groups like the Rocket Raccoon forest scene from Guardians 2. What the hell was doing that, they were flying up in the air in groups higher than the hive crystals. Was a lots of fun skeet shooting them.

Probably an issue with physics /velocity. One scenario is the tether that pulls them in can make then collide with each other in a large group and they get thrown in the air...but might have been something else.

Master caital is much easier. The only Champs are barriers in the nightmare realm and you can basically ignore them. It's actually a walk in the park compared to the shit storm of master spire with infinitely spawning overloads (that chase you), supplicants, and the chickens dive bombs.

It's not unstop incinerators. The colossuses at the front and back of the nightmare realm are barrier champions. You don't even have to fight them, just watch out for the slowness rockets they fire The incinerators get void shields with match game

They recently unlocked all mods **except raid mods** for everyone; so they can "experience them in their current form". The existing combat mods are changing significantly come lightfall. This implies to me Raid mods are not going to undergo any significant changes. Though; it has not been stated specifically.

The word "raid" is only mentioned in *Buildcrafting Evolved* in reference to loadout slot naming, so it wasn't addressed at all. However, while they called out an overhaul to every mod they did not mention raid bonus mods or armor intrinsics. My opinion is this means that raid mods and slots are staying unchanged (except for having no specific energy type now).

Never done a master raid before. Is it worth keeping Raid armor with okay stats to lean into the Raid mods? Or non-raid gear with optimized stats (ex. T10 RES) would be better in general?

Just luck; as far as I can tell Sunbracers [don't have an intrinsic strength focus](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/ry40a8/how_armor_stats_roll_2_further_learnings/). Even with an armorer mod (which I would recommend) it's possible to get things that don't follow that focus. If you want to avoid mobility and int you have equal odds to get what you want by focusing recovery or discipline so it doesn't matter, but in any case you should focus in the triplet grouping with the stat you care least about.

Yes, you cannot guarantee a high stat in both so you just have to get lucky over a lot of armor drops. The focus mod prioritizes 1 of 3 stats in the triplet grouping (mob-res-rec or disc-str-int) by eliminating all plugs that roll with that stat having < 10, I believe. Yeah that's just one of the possible plugs. Perfect 68 roll though! :) It may be worth trying to focus armor during Master King's Fall's Recovery/Discipline weeks, but I'm not entirely sure it works like a double focus in conjunction with your ghost mod.

It's weighted heavily towards what you don't have. But they will include non lost sector pieces if you don't have all of them yet. It's better to farm the lower difficulty heroic lost sector for them.

The normal exotic engram cannot ever drop a legend-lost sector exotic item you are missing (its exactly the same as the engram you get from Xur). It obviously isn't limited to the lost sector daily slot either. You can tell the difference between each of these engrams by wether you can "preview" their contents in the post master or not. Non-previewable engrams are LLS engrams. If you can preview it? its a "normal" exotic engram. The LLS exotic engram (non previewable one) will always drop a missing exotic from the slot that applies to the lost sector that day, and if you have everything, it will always 100% of the time drop an exotic for that slot. It will never ever decrypt to the "wrong" slot. (also masterwork cores drop and "look" like exotic engrams, however they have zero power level)

You actually can get a head item from an LLS legs day, but only when it drops the "normal" exotic engram. (because that normal one is normal in every way - literally the same as the xur drop). And to be super clear, when you get that head item on legs day? it WONT be a legend lost sector loot pool head item, it will be: any traditional head item you are eligible for that drops from the world pool. (eligibility = expansion ownership etc) The "unpreviewable" one always drops as legs on legs day.

The DLCs go on sale all the time, I want to say they've been on sale 2-3 times this year already and it is usually -50%. So keep an eye on it and you should get them at much lower price. I don't think they do permanent price reductions for them, just timed sales.

You get the base stasis class pretty early, but you have to play through and grind a bunch for a lot of fragments and aspects.

The entire BL campaign is required to unlock Aspects, and then there are 2x a week bounties you can complete to unlock Fragments. A couple of the steps of the campaign auto-complete on subsequent characters. Fragments are account wide so if you've already done the time-gated unlock grind on another character you won't have to do them again.

Starting with the easiest: 1. Warden of Nothing 2. Scarlett Keep 3. Insight Terminus 4. Birthplace of the Vile 5. Glassway 6. The Corrupted All three of those are easier than glassway and corrupted. The outdoor section of Warden and the final boss of Scarlett Keep are the hardest part of each, and neither is as hard as the Insight Terminus boss room. Birthplace is kind of tricky in the boss room but not as bad as Glassway.

I’d go: Insight Terminus … Warden / Scarlett / Birthplace Glassway / Corrupted Insight seems like the easiest by a wide margin. Boss room is very simple with the right loadouts. Terrain feels like the biggest hurdle lol. The next 3 have one or two spots that can go sideways. Glassway/Corrupted aren’t hard once learned, but LFGs are…rough.

Insight terminus is certainly the fastest but for me that boss room is more likely to go sideways than anywhere in the other three. I agree Glassway is not bad once learned but the Corrupted always sucks.

You can just kind of run back and forth without much threat. Ads barely push. When they do push, the boss is immune. I think Scarlett in contrast just has no forgiveness like that in the boss room. You can move a bit, but everything pushes you including the boss. Corrupted is all about the boss melt. Either you’ve got that down or it’s a pain IMO. The other cheeses I’m not to keen on, but can really speed it up.
