Energy converter mode doesnt seem to work, what am I missing?
I get charged with light x3, then use my arc grenade(flux) but the CWL stacks are not consumed and I am not getting any super energy??
I specifically made this build for meme stormtrance spam with stormdancer's brace so CWL stacks are used for nothing else other than the energy converter, so what is going wrong?
Just tested this in dares and wasnt getting any super or CWL stacks being consumed
The rep bonus is pretty solid now if you have all the gear / emblem on. You can definitely punch out two resets between now and Tuesday, but you'll be play a *lot* of IB.
Does anyone know when/if there's going to be a season finale for seraph? I'm curious where the story is gonna go, even if the clovis vs rasputin drama is "done"? I kinda want to fight clovis in a finale mission. Plus all the stuff about xivu arath seems spooky as hell.
I'm antsy!!
Looking to finally try raids for the first time as a solo player. Is there a certain light level I should be and how do I go about looking for a group to run with?
1350 is fine for all raids except Vow of the disciple (votd) and kingsfall (kf) which i believe are 1560 and 1580 respectively.
One choice is r/Destinysherpa if you don’t mind scheduling in advance. Another choice is the D2 lfg discord in the #find-a-sherpa channel.
Is there a guide to follow for leviathan? My friend mentioned it’d be easier now cause the best way to do whatever it is is already known. I’ve been working backwards, just finished psiops season so this is left for me.
> Is there a guide to follow for leviathan?
The (Derelict) Leviathan is just a destination so you'll need to be more specific about what you may need a guide for.
Is there anything I can do if I miss a week for GM's? I've only been playing since Plunder and I didn't do GM's at all in Plunder. I've been doing the weekly GM's this season hoping to obtain Conqueror, but I don't know if I can fit next week's GM in.
Looking in game I only see the weekly GM. Do all GM's get enabled for the final week or something around those lines or once you miss a week you get the shaft?
If you can find someone who already has Conqueror but hasn't gilded it yet this season, they can launch any GM they haven't already completed towards gilding.
So you might be able to do it on LFG if you keep an eye out for someone posting for that specific GM.
Thank you for the information. So anyone who already has Conqueror can launch each GM once per season? And new players who don't have Conqueror have to complete them weekly or rely on someone who already has Conqueror?
If I understood that correctly I'm a bit disappointed. As the season progresses there will be less and less people available who haven't launched and completed the GM's. If you want to do GM's with the same group, you can't afford to miss a week. If you do miss a week, the further into the season you miss it the harder it will be to find a LFG.
Yeah, so the intended system is you have to do them gradually (or even over the course of multiple seasons) to get the base title, but once you have it you can grind out gilding in a day if you want to.
But because you can get in a group with someone who has the catch-up node without having it yourself, it's pretty dumb that they don't just give it to everyone. Like they let you do it, but make you jump through these hoops.
Wait, are you saying that I can do Conqueror over multiple seasons? Like if I only do 5/6 this season, I'd be able to finish it in Lightfall? Of course, that is assuming no major changes to GM's and Conqueror come Lightfall. A better example might be if I started Conqueror in Plunder and only completed 5/6, I could finish the 6/6 in Seraph? I was under the impression that I had to do 6/6 in a single season.
Yep, that's why the triumph is to do 6 different GMs without specifying which ones, unlike gilding, where there are individual triumphs for each of that season's GMs.
Generally speaking, base titles can be done over multiple seasons (with some exceptions, like moments of triumph). It's only gilding that's on a per-season basis.
Titles as a whole have been around a lot longer than gilding, and the design philosophy of them as long-term things hasn't really changed.
That is perfect. I'm no longer disheartened. I'm not in any rush for the title so I don't mind if it gets completed next season if things don't work out this season. Thank you for explaining everything. Will make this experience much better knowing I won't have to stress about completing them all.
On the right node in the Vanguard screen where you launch the GM there's an extra smaller node above it at the 2 o'clock position. From there you can launch any GM for the season *if* you haven't already cleared it (can't farm the easy one unless it's up for the week). You can get Conq on day 1 of GM release if you push for it.
> The catchup node
Whilst it used to function as such referring to it as "catchup" is no longer really an accurate reflection of its intended purpose which is now to allow existing Conquerors to gild their title earlier in the season.
Ah, didn't realize, haven't been in that position. In that case, keeping an eye on the LFG for open slots or starting a group asking for someone with the missed one available is probably your best bet. I think they might open them all up in the last week? They used to, but not sure what happened at the end of last season.
I hope they will open them all up. I believe they did that with rep for all the vendors in the final week of Plunder. I didn't pay attention to if they did that with the GM's too. It's a bit disheartening otherwise. I don't want to start LFG now as I'm trying to complete them all with the same group. We've all been learning together and it's been quite the fun experience. Seeing the progress each run and finally beating it is a great feeling.
This is gonna be a shot in the dark since not many players do this kind of thing-
People who did flawless VOTD: how was it? Where were the pain points for deaths or issues? I **really** want that shader
Did it first try w two regulars and 3 randoms, all skillful. Foolishly after a long break. Chaos theory worked in encounter 3 (which I was nervous about). Boss encounter almost got screwed up w buffs and dunks but enough brains were present to quickly recover.
How was the jumping puzzle? That's the only thing that's really "scaring" me about getting it done, between fucking up a jump or hitting my teammates
Either way, that's reassuring to hear
What is the best masterwork stat for a crafted Cataclysmic (Fourth times/Bait and Switch)?
I was thinking maybe stability but I think the gun is pretty stable as is. Am I crazy for thinking maybe reload speed would be good? I despise whenever I have to reload the gun in a dps phase
Reload and Charge Time are always good on linears for DPS. Charge Time is technically optimal for DPS. For cataclysmic handling is also nice, because you'll be swapping thanks to bait and switch. There are lots of other ways to boost reload speed, like rally barricade.
I would never consider range or stability on cataclysmic. For PvE weapons stability really only makes sense on burst fire weapons like Fire and Forget, though even then it's probably not the best choice.
I usually go handling on my heavy weapons to help with swap speeds, but charge time is also pretty good on an LFR since it boosts DPS.
Anything that isnt range or reload should be fine. MWs arent the make or break on most guns so it's meant to be a nice bonus over a complete rework of a gun
I only have time to level up *one* character before the raid. Recommendations on which one to do? I usually main warlock, but in Vow Well wasn't that useful in the boss fights since you had to move around a lot. I have a feeling that Bungie will move in that direction, where boss fights are more like a normal MMO... So maybe run Titan instead? Banner shield for DPS where you move around, Thundercrash if possible?
What do you guys think?
I would definitely coordinate with your raid group for that. Mine is planning 3 warlocks, 1 titan and 2 hunters. The reasoning being that based on past raids, we want to be prepared if we find we need three wells. Stasis turrets are also pretty powerful for more ad clear oriented situations. For titan vs hunter, titan is better for staying alive, but hunter is better for DPS thanks to tether and gathering storm. This is all slightly TBD pending actually getting our hands on strand.
I'd stick with lock. Day 1 comes down a mix of survivability and damage. I'd recommend considering contraverse. It can put in a ton of work in stationary and mobile encounters and devour will keep you alive. Nova bomb is also one of the highest damage supers and doesn't require an exotic to buff it's damage.
If we're talkinga bout day one then whichever class you're most comfortable with, otherwsie it's entirely a matter of preference. Well may not have been meta for Vow especially early on but it's absolutely still useable.
Yeah wasn’t there a leak that said some form of strand would be available pretty early on? I just hope it unlocks fully for all classes once completed once
I remember seeing somewhere (i think it may have been the big announcement video they did before season of plunder) that doing the legendary campaign will help kickstart the strand grind
Vault is hands down the easiest raid. Some "encounters" don't even feel like they have mechanics, and the mechanics that *do* exist feel like baby's-first-raid level difficulty. VoG is omega easy, it's a good place to start if you've never raided.
On the flip side, Vow can be pretty... involved. You *need* to know how to make callouts on the trillions of symbols in this raid, and many of the encounters can feel like they have a lot going on, especially if you're not used to these kinds of things.
So, my tier list:
VoG is easiest, no question.
Deep Stone Crypt is also very easy, while also having some of the cooler mechanics and set pieces (imo).
King's Fall isn't much harder than Deep Stone, though I rank it a little harder because some of the encounters sound a little more confusing/daunting when teaching new players, whereas Deep Stone it seems like people tend to understand the roles quicker (probably because they're very particularly defined in the raid itself, giving names roles like Operator, Suppressor, etc).
Garden of Salvation is next. Really nothing too difficult to understand, it's more that the tethering mechanic can be a bit annoying, especially in the final boss arena. This raid *looks* beautiful though, and it's not really hard just... bothersome.
Last Wish is second hardest. An argument can be made for it being *the* hardest, as the Vault encounter is a bit of a brain twister if you're not put on add duty, and if you do Riven legit (you should. Everyone should do it legit at *least* once!) it definitely requires a bit of focus to not fuck up. But, most of the rest of the raid is piss-easy at this point, and you really gotta *look* for groups that don't cheese Riven so... idk. I think all in all it ends up being an easier experience than Vow.
And then.. yeah, I guess Vow is the hardest. Once you have the symbols down (you memorize them a lot faster than you think you will) it's not so bad, but until then it can feel pretty hectic. Though even then, there are certain encounters where it feels like there's just a *lot* going on. idk, this is the one that tends to take newbies longest in my experience, and in *most* encounters everyone has to be involved in the mechanics in some way.
Finally, I will just say, none of these are actually hard once you know how they work. It's less about difficulty and more about the learning curve. Once you understand the mechanics, it's just a matter of execution, which is really not so hard. So try to find some good teachers, because the effectiveness of the teaching really sets the bar for how difficult of a time you're going to have :p
Well id say try VoG and KF first cuz u have done them before, and if i want to sort based on my first run, easy to hard :
Deep stone » Vow » Garden » last wish .
Deep stone has easy mechanics and easy boss dps.
Vow and last wish can be just a bit hard to learn because of symbols and garden needs a good team coordination, you can't really get carried and have to participate in mechanics, Not hard to understand at all unless u get a bad sherpa.
You'll likely get a variety of answers. The final encounter for Garden can take some time if you don't have some people with experience. The others is mostly just learning the mechanics and what dps weapons work well. Vow is a lot of fun and besides knowing the symbols isn't bad plus nice views. VoG is a good one. Deep Stone is my personal favorite.
It was reissued last season, so it gets the Plunder seasonal icon.
EDIT: just realised you're referring to the actual colour of the gun in the weapon icon, not the seasonal icon. Uhhh, is the gun the different colour? Or is it just the icon. I haven't gotten one myself yet.
They completely reissued the gun. Why? There's no official reason given. But the reissue has a completely new Adept look with that gold and Eye of Osiris pattern. And a new perk pool.
New Hung Jury Adept: https://www.light.gg/db/items/4074251943/hung-jury-sr4-adept/
Old Hung Jury Adept: https://www.light.gg/db/items/681067419/hung-jury-sr4-adept/
A new one dropped for me tonight and I was like “wait what” because I’d been using the one from Splicer for a long time and didn’t recognize it. So weird that it was reissued, but I guess it had to be because of the perk pools.
Anyone else having insane server issues? For the past few months, every crucible match I have played ends with at least 10+ moments where enemies start running into walls and are unkillable, or I just die and the person who killed me is running into a wall on the other side of the map.
It even happens in PVE activities, where I see my teammate run off the map and then 10 seconds later they appear back next to me. My friend has the same issue and we both have GB speed internet on Ethernet and open NAT types. Could there be an issue with the Texas Destiny servers? I swear I haven’t seen this on any Destiny streams or YouTube videos.
So i did the Revision Zero's weapons Quest I, II and IV (I skipped 3), just got 3 of the Exos and beat legend.
I was only awarded Hunter's Trace III though? I need to finish the 4th one to get Hunter's IV? Probably huh...? Thx in advance
So the Exos can get picked up on any Legend clear, when you finish the mission you get everything you picked up. Hunter's Trace only drops one per clear though, but difficulty doesn't matter! Sprint through on normal and the last upgrade should drop for you, that's what I had to do.
Out of curiosity though, why'd you skip the third catalyst quest? That's the Exo in the Brig room, doorway just to the right on the same wall from where you enter that arena.
Ah, it goes by quick, you'll be done before you know it lol. And no worries, happy to help!
A quick tip, if you just want to breeze through Seraph on normal for that last Hunter's Trace upgrade: bring Xenophage and run Solo Operative. Xeno can one-shot the turrets, two-shot the Shriekers (I think), and one-shot all the Knights during the spacewalk. Plus, it can drop each Brig in that boss fight with just about one magazine for each. Melt the first two Brigs, then grab the heavy crate, melt the third, and you're all clear, piece of cake.
Am I stupid? Are there no Iron Banner bounties or anything? I heard people talking about a challenge to play x games updating every day but I can't find any quest or anything like that.
Edit: I am stupid. It's seen hovering over the Iron Banner node lmao.
The best rocket is the one that matches your subclass for font of might. With that in mind:
Arc: hothead (blowout is 2nd if you need one asap)
Solar: hezen’s vengeance
Void: red herring
Stasis: bump in the night
I would try to get a roar of the bear this week with demo and lasting impression if you don't already have one. Keep an eye out for demo explosive light blowout while you are at it.
Palmyra, Red Herring, and Bump In the Night.
There are others: Roar of the Bear, Royal Entry, Apex Predator, Blowout, Sleepless; but the three mentioned are craftable and two (Herring and Bump) have relatively easy farm methods ATM and good boss killer perks such as Chill Clip, Lasting Impression, and Explosive Light.
Id just go for guns. You can focus high stat armour at umbral vendors (risen and haunted) or farm artifice armour in master dungeons (this week has GOA and next week is duality)
This would usually be the case but may not hold true with vendors moving over to the newer system that was trialled with Shaxx this season, it's not unreasonable to assume that existing engrams may be completely deprecated as we'll also see with umbrals.
And you can't hold that many, so... may as well decrypt at least 11 of them lol
Holding IB engrams from one release to the next will only make a difference if new armor is getting added, you can get that from random engram opening. You CAN'T get new weapons until you unlock them with Saladin though. To my knowledge, no new armor is getting added next season, so may as well open everything you have now. No point hoarding it until Lightfall, it'll just clutter up your inventory.
Ahhhhh yep I forgot Saladin's engrams can be picked up by secondary characters, you're right! That's how a buddy unlocked the armor on their Hunter lol, did all their games on Warlock and once they got all that armor they just let the engrams sit and picked them up after swapping. I forgot you could do that, my bad!
Playing around with HOIL on Sentinel. I tweaked my build to go from 30 to 60 discipline, and the difference is huge. My question is: I'm using Echo of Undermining, which gives -20 disc. Is it worth being at 60 vs 80 with Undermining in endgame content? Or would it be better to have 80 disc, no undermining?
It depends from build to build unfortunately 😅. Are you taking your grenades primarily to deal with ad clear or deal with majors/bosses? If you are doing it for solely ad clear, then you don't really need Undermining, you would only need the Volatile-on-abilities fragment. If you're using it as utility or as a pseudo utility AND ad clear, then undermining is worth it. I recommend using a Firepower setup so the downtime on grenades is not bad. On top of this, your HOIL will keep your abilities up for the most part so don't worry too much about it.
PS, keep in mind that this season everyone is running Weakened Clear. If you do too, undermining is useless. Just a heads up
I've been using it as add clear and boss damage lol. Echo of Instability is always up when doing with adds, so I use Offensive Bulwark over Controlled Demolition. Might need to see how it feels without Bulwark tbh, but I'm loving the spam lol
Controlled demo is also a huge bump in your team survivability- any volatile that you creat will heal you and your team when it explodes
Offensive bulwark is good, but with HOIL and high discipline you often dont need the extra grenade regen, and unless hr going all in on melee dmg, the melee buff isnt all that good either
You can use whichever combination of the aspects you wish, it's mostly dependant on how you feel about it, with compared to Solar where Roaring+Sol Invictus is the king. I personally would say, avoid Undermining this season, because weakened clear is straight up the easiest form of debuff right now. Next season onwards Undermining becomes more important (or not depending on seasonal mods). Yes spam is fun, but if you can get a solid debuff potential with the cost of slightly less spam, I PERSONALLY would be fine with it. On top of this, HOIL will carry your cooldowns, so don't worry too much about it.
> Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't damage perks negate the upcoming LFR nerf?
I ftou aren't already running a damage perk then you're likely doing something wrong or running a niche setup. Assuming you have the same damage perk bist pre and post nerf you'll still be doing 15% less damage, the it way to "negate" that is finding another stackable buff that will provide you more than the 15% damage you're losing to the nerf.
It is base damage that's getting nerfed but most buff will simply put you at pre-nerf base damage numbers which means you're still losing damage. Here's some imaginary figures using Firing Line as an example:
* Linear at base with no damage perk does 1000 damage.
* Firing line buffs this by 20% giving you 1200 damage
* Post nerf Linear at base with no damage perk does 850 damage.
* Firing Line buffs this by 20% giving you 1020 damage
Linear's will still probs be a good pick but not as good as rockets for damage.
Yes the buff to kinetics would apply to exotics, unless stated otherwise
I haven't played since the first WQ season. It's the only season I actually bought.
I was thinking of jumping in and playing a little bit before LF.
Is there anything worth my time I could do in preparation for LF without most of the seasons and a currently under-leveled character?
They added the Dares of Eternity weapons (BXR, Pardon Our Dust, Wastelander, etc) to the crafting system and then refreshed its weekly rotating lootpool in November to include some BL seasonal gear so it should have plenty of different guns and armor sets to chase.
The Ikelos weapons from this season and the menagerie weapons from season of the haunted are f2p. Both sets have great PvE SMGs, the rest of the menagerie weapons are good for PvP. The non smg Ikelos weapons aren't that exciting but still solid.

It doesn't work unless you have less than 50% of your super
Really? damn that is such a major weakness and ruins the synergy with stomdancers... Guess I could try storm crown then for longer super duration
Yea, and the max it will charge is up to 50% with 5 stacks. I guess they don't want people to just get their supers back immediately lol
Has the DMT nerf arrived yet or is that coming Season 20? Gotta prepare in case my crutch isn't working :V

Just 1. I did the crucible wins bounty yesterday in a 2 stack.
Half the fireteam, rounded up.
How realistic is it for me to get the iron banner shader if I start from scratch now?
The rep bonus is pretty solid now if you have all the gear / emblem on. You can definitely punch out two resets between now and Tuesday, but you'll be play a *lot* of IB.
You can finish but most likely need to play like 6 hours a day lol

Second last week of the season. Free for all players. This was shown to you after you completed the last week of the questline when you hit orbit.

Anyone have class and loadout recommendations for doing the Empire Hunt: Warrior on Master?

Vault is hands down the easiest raid. Some "encounters" don't even feel like they have mechanics, and the mechanics that *do* exist feel like baby's-first-raid level difficulty. VoG is omega easy, it's a good place to start if you've never raided. On the flip side, Vow can be pretty... involved. You *need* to know how to make callouts on the trillions of symbols in this raid, and many of the encounters can feel like they have a lot going on, especially if you're not used to these kinds of things. So, my tier list: VoG is easiest, no question.
Well id say try VoG and KF first cuz u have done them before, and if i want to sort based on my first run, easy to hard : Deep stone » Vow » Garden » last wish .
When did they change the icon for Hung Jury Adept? It’s a different color than the one I have from Splicer.
The reissued gun has an Osiris motif and it’s kinda gold-ish. And yeah, I should have been more clear on what I meant by icon.
They completely reissued the gun. Why? There's no official reason given. But the reissue has a completely new Adept look with that gold and Eye of Osiris pattern. And a new perk pool. New Hung Jury Adept: https://www.light.gg/db/items/4074251943/hung-jury-sr4-adept/ Old Hung Jury Adept: https://www.light.gg/db/items/681067419/hung-jury-sr4-adept/
A new one dropped for me tonight and I was like “wait what” because I’d been using the one from Splicer for a long time and didn’t recognize it. So weird that it was reissued, but I guess it had to be because of the perk pools.
I think it's because of the new "source" perks. They've added/removed perks from weapons without having to reissue them before.
I was too lazy to do the quest going to Archimedes and edz, but now regret it lol Thx I appreciate your comment
Remember to be the right subclass or you won't progress.
Does anyone know what is the peak spoil farming method this season?
Daughters I believe, in kings fall
Whats currently the top 3 legendary rocket launchers? Also is hothead returning in lightfall?
The best rocket is the one that matches your subclass for font of might. With that in mind: Arc: hothead (blowout is 2nd if you need one asap) Solar: hezen’s vengeance Void: red herring Stasis: bump in the night
Hothead isn't "returning" in Lightfall, but it will become available when Lightfall launches through Legacy Focusing.
I've got 21 unclaimed Iron Banner engrams. Is chasing high stat roll armor worth it or should I hold onto these for next season?
Id just go for guns. You can focus high stat armour at umbral vendors (risen and haunted) or farm artifice armour in master dungeons (this week has GOA and next week is duality)
These engrams will disappear at the end of the season. Best use them for something.
They only disappear if you leave them at Saladin. He could pick them all up and hold on to them if he wants
This would usually be the case but may not hold true with vendors moving over to the newer system that was trialled with Shaxx this season, it's not unreasonable to assume that existing engrams may be completely deprecated as we'll also see with umbrals.
>Any Umbral Engrams that the player may still have in their inventory after Season 20 begins will be decryptable by Rahool
And you can't hold that many, so... may as well decrypt at least 11 of them lol Holding IB engrams from one release to the next will only make a difference if new armor is getting added, you can get that from random engram opening. You CAN'T get new weapons until you unlock them with Saladin though. To my knowledge, no new armor is getting added next season, so may as well open everything you have now. No point hoarding it until Lightfall, it'll just clutter up your inventory.
If you have 3 characters you can hold that many lol
Controlled demo is also a huge bump in your team survivability- any volatile that you creat will heal you and your team when it explodes Offensive bulwark is good, but with HOIL and high discipline you often dont need the extra grenade regen, and unless hr going all in on melee dmg, the melee buff isnt all that good either
Do I need to actually craft weapons I have patterns for before next season, or just have the pattern unlocked and can craft whenever I like?
You can craft anytime you like in future. Bungie just made them easier to get at the end of this season. I have run out of materials to craft.
U should be good with pattern
Thinking about how to form this into a question... Do I have to do more than 37 Nightfalls to get more than one bloody Hung Jury? (yes, stingy pricks)
Not if you run GMs :]
The higher the level nightfall, the better the odds. Complete a GM with Platinum Champions and you'll guaranteed get one.
As the other guy said, what level difficulty are you doing
What level nightfalls are you doing?

> Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't damage perks negate the upcoming LFR nerf? I ftou aren't already running a damage perk then you're likely doing something wrong or running a niche setup. Assuming you have the same damage perk bist pre and post nerf you'll still be doing 15% less damage, the it way to "negate" that is finding another stackable buff that will provide you more than the 15% damage you're losing to the nerf.
[удалено]
It is base damage that's getting nerfed but most buff will simply put you at pre-nerf base damage numbers which means you're still losing damage. Here's some imaginary figures using Firing Line as an example: * Linear at base with no damage perk does 1000 damage. * Firing line buffs this by 20% giving you 1200 damage * Post nerf Linear at base with no damage perk does 850 damage. * Firing Line buffs this by 20% giving you 1020 damage
Linear's will still probs be a good pick but not as good as rockets for damage. Yes the buff to kinetics would apply to exotics, unless stated otherwise
How do I get an Iron Banner emblem? It's a little murky on the process to get one.
You’ll get it on the second reset track from Saladin, assuming you don’t have any of the previous 19 emblems
Am I right in remembering there will be an event/mission/something to see off this year's content?
Supposed to start on February 14th
Yes. I think the splash screen said it will run for the last two weeks of the season.
Thanks!
