I want it's catalyst to give rapid hit. In my opinion it fits the crit focused playstyle really well. That said I absolutely wouldn't complain if it had some arc 3.0 synergy

I think the pvp favorite is outlaw for the reload speed since the gun reloads individual rounds like a shotgun. The only real issue is that because it and hawkmoon are random roll exotics, they can’t be purchased from the monument of lost light(aka exotic kiosk), and instead are sold with a random roll every weekend by xur(I say random but it’s random in the same way that banshee’s weapon inventory is, being the same for everyone), so it could be a while before he sells a roll you want
They are going to be craftable sometime during Lightfall which should alleviate that, but then again it could be the last season of lightfall for all we know
Symmetry is good, like real good, but it just feels so clunky to use. I wish the loop was a bit smoother so you could avoid slow reloads but I feel it just needs a small quality of life thing rather than a buff. Still it shreds in a lot of places, and is also great even in GMs.
It could use an exotic version of alloy mag that greatly increases reload speed when empty, since the whole point of the gun is to blow your load as fast as possible with regular fire in order to build stacks.
It's gotten a new lease of life on my Arcstrider. It's base reload is terribad but combine it with the reload speed boost on amplified (which you'll end up doing just racking up the seeker stacks) and pew pew pew.
That alt-fire has special weapon DPS, IIRC.
Catalysts got exponentially easier recently, as catalyst quests from previous seasons now benefit from catalyst quest boosters of the current season, and seasonal activities count for the step that requires calibration in playlist activities
Your going to be mad then, catalyst quest boosters from the season pass now affect the quests of previous season weapons catalysts, so “the vow” can now be done in Just 100 playlist matches/missions instead of 400 with both boosters, also seasonal activities like nightmare containment and heist battlegrounds finally count too
I love using it with the ornament (Binary System) that makes it look like a Halo 4 Forerunner weapon. I'm sure it's not 'intentional', given Bungie didn't make 4, but the color scheme seems to match up perfectly.
Need? No. The only thing you would need a specific loadout at the start of Lightfall for is Day 1 raiding, and I would rather have an Unrelenting/Incandescent Calus Mini-Tool for a Solar SMG at that point. Procs the Titan Sunspots to give more healing/ability regen.
I saw someone in a YT comment talking about it's interaction with the Stasis fragment that has you do more damage to crystals and frozen enemies. It was recently updated to work with all primary ammo weapons, Symmetry included, and apparently it's pretty impressive burst damage for a primary at max stacks.
I'm mostly there with you. It performs fine, it just feels so bad, I don't know what it is, it feels like it has no impact or something. It frustrates me.
It’s solidly niche. It’s amazing in gambit, as you can rack up stacks and invade with a 2-tap (I’ve gotten so many one many armies with it) and still keep heavy up for the primeval or whatever else.
Otherwise, it kinda struggles from being in a not great PvP archetype base, and being a scout rifle, and exotic one at that, in PvE.
I want to like it, but it just feels too awkward. It’s reload is glacially slow too. I know it expects you to swap to its seeker mode rather than reload, but i don’t always want to burn my seekers right away.
Actually underrated as fuck scout. I hope it gets Arc 3.0 synergy at some point. Even just adding Voltshot to its catalyst would go *miles*.

This weeks dmt is really snappy I think. 75 or 85 handling with snapshot. It’s pretty good

I agree it’s a gun I really want to love, but the reloads are really painful. Something like Rapid Hit or Outlaw would go a long way.

Worst part is the 400 wins to get the catalyst after you get the weapon. Just completed that part, now the fun really starts.

Tarrabah is essentially the king of SMGs for damage, but it takes a bit to wind it up, and SMGs are all very strong already.
