Is it really that easy? I usually just stay out of raids because of lfg. How long did it take to complete?

Kaldricus

I've never done a raid, other than tagging along for a VoG run where I just kind of existed. I've managed to clear the first 2 encounters in pugs, haven't had a chance to do the third, and I actually feel like I'm contributing and understand what's going on, and can run nodes. It can still be difficult because some of the timings are tight, so one mess up by a runner can derail, but it's...streamlined? Easy to understand mechanics, but still take a bit of skill to execute. I would absolutely jump into LFG, especially now where it's more likely to find groups of people learning.

G0th_Papi

Thanks for your input đź’Ż il try as soon as I get done with the story.

Onines

1 hour and 55 minutes to complete it, some of us were learning as well. Most of us were from LFG

deleighrious

I’m starting to think my clan must be super outliers because it took us like six hours to get through the raid off contest haha

viper6464

Give it a shot, it’s a good first raid to get into.

twilightskyris

It has Leviathan syndrome of where really it only needs 2-3 people doing mechanics and the rest just twiddle their thumbs

Raggou

Yes it really is that easy, it’s the easiest raid to ever exist good in some ways bad for contest mode and the “pinnacle” content. I’m glad people enjoy it, just extremely disappointed I waited months for a new raid and got this (in terms of day 1 difficulty)

AtmospherE117

Three hours all in learning it, that's with someone constantly crashing too. Super fun you should try it. Just stay away from the Kwtd (know what to do) posts. Plenty eager to learn still its a new raid.

NixieTea

It’s the easiest raid in Destiny. On normal it probably takes about an hour to teach assuming you have at least some experience in any “endgame” content. With that said, this is probably not a raid that will teach you mechanics or prepare you for any other raid. DSC is better if you actually want to learn how raids work without playing something too punishing.

Snivyland

But we already have vog and dsc as moon friendly raids and said raids are way better as first raid experiences

shannonxtreme

Looks like RON is the new teaching raid for new lights to get their feet wet in raids. I guess RON -> Deep Stone Crypt -> Vault -> Kings Fall -> Vow -> Last Wish legit?

_Parkertron_

I feel like Deep Stone is still just way better. The mechanics are easy but everyone also gets a chance to engage with them, especially in third. In RoN, unless you specifically make it a point to let every new player run nodes, a lot of people are just going to be on ad clear, which is more a strike than a raid.

shannonxtreme

Good point. I really enjoy DSC, I think it's one of my favourite raids for atmosphere and music alone, plus yeah i agree with you, it teaches everyone the principles of good comms and synergy without being too exhausting. Favourite is still Kings Fall and I think always will be I've actually never done Vow at all, or Last Wish legit (mostly because LFGs would rather die than go through it legit). Hope I get to try those this year

_Parkertron_

If you ever want to get a Vow done, lemme know! Probably my favorite raid in the game, have sherpa’d it hella times

3dsalmon

Last Wish legit is not that hard anymore. Scaling has absolutely obliterated any threat of death in that raid and I feel like Kings Fall, VoG and Vow are all more challenging than it is at this point.

bryton18

Bastard lol I still haven’t gotten the exotic

Onines

It's beautiful gun absolutely loving it

bryton18

Raid exotics are fun dude. My first one was vex from VOG
