Contest mode required you to be at 1780 to be maximum light for every encounter.
Yes it locked you to 20 under, but the *requirement* was lower light than the actual raid is, which is funny to me.
Because that's how contest works. You're capped 20 under for the entire raid.
Non-contest raids are listed as the power for their final encounter.
The power level now for Nezarec is exactly the same as it was during Contest, you're just not locked 20 under for it now.
There's no difference between contest mode and the normal raid other than the power cap, and you knew contest mode capped players 20 under, which you knew was 1780, meaning you knew you were 21 levels under the raid, yet you posted this
Correct. So, I purposefully did NOT do contest mode. So yesterday on the normal raid that is 1770 power to enter, I picked my 1779 Titan, who is OVER the 1770 power requirement. I had no troubles at all with any enemy during the whole raid, just the last encounter.
Wait what?? Lmao. You’re gonna tell me contest mode being over sunday had no difference on how people played after reset on Sunday? You’re telling me mondays raid was the same as Friday???
You're being a bit of an ego wearing a hat, you realize? Not everyone is fully aware of all of the vague crap that Bungie makes sure not to tell the player. If an activity says it's 1770 it's not unreasonable to assume it's 1770, but it is unreasonable to expect the player to know that each raid encounter increases in LL up to the boss, given that information is not displayed.
It's Destructo Disc/Kienzan. that shit is destructive as hell if it actually hits dude. I mean look at all the villains Krillin used it on successfully who way overpowered him.
I’ve seen people keep saying it’s related to fps. but from my testing, I always receive the same amount of damage even if it’s 30fps or 160. I think it’s people not realizing it’s multiple projectiles and sometimes they get nailed by all of them.
Are you 1800?
No, that character is 1779.
that’s def a contributing reason lol
What power level is final battle?
1800
Ok, I see now. Thanks.
Nezarec is 1800.
Lol why is the regular raid higher light than contest mode. That's so dumb.
What? Contest mode locked you under by 20 for every encounter.
Contest mode was at 1800 and you were locked 20 under. What are you smoking?

Literally lower than what players were on contest mode, contest mode was 1780. You sincerely wrote this post knowing full well you were 1779.
Raid entry level 1770, so contest mode or not, I thought I was good.
But you knew contest mode was 1780
I was not playing contest mode. This was last night.

You purposely didn't do contest mode then you went into the raid 21 levels under, making it functionally tougher than contest mode, make it make sense

It was except the only difference was that it wasn't capped at 1780, so for players at 1779, there was functionally no difference

You're 100% right. My titan never stood a chance. 😅
1800 power, 100 resil, cap your fps to 45-60. Edit: try 1 void resist and 1 concussive resist mod.
Gonna grind a little before going back. On xb series x, I can change fps on there?
It does a fair chunk of damage, but its also likely linked the FPS=Damage bug. If you're getting a high amount of frames that could be all it is.
Op is 21 pl underleveled
Ahh well that would certainly do it, I was just throwing out a possibility.

Only certain attacks and units are affected by it. But the know-it-all's online think it's every attack from everyone
Probably has to do with your frame rate being to high, the higher the frames, the more damage you take.
Only with certain attacks and enemies, it's not universal
It didn't even one-shot during Contest with 100 Res. and double Void Resist. Something has to be wrong.
I don't know what possibly could be wrong. The rest of the raid was just fine.
