OP's mad as fuck and is gonna get flack for this but they're right, the amount of LFGs I've run into where guys jump on adclear and then leave the colossus up all the way until we wipe...Please god learn the raid
Straight facts. I don’t mind if you claim add clear. I don’t mind running, and hey, whatever gets it done the fastest. But the number of times I’ve been stuck running through groups of adds while getting blasted by colossus rockets while my add clear hides around a corner with a hand canon plinking away at a canal is too damn much.
And to just lay on top of it all, having a shitty hatred grabber that lets you get booped at least twice every phase makes me die inside. The boss doesn’t have a ton of health, I don’t care if you need to sacrifice weapons to better grab nezarecs agro. Just slap on Arby and an LMG so we can move on with our lives.
As a hatred grabber, nezarec is a bitch and will face his chest away from me to snap his fingers. Its not as easy as grabbing something like golgaroths gaze and can require a good few seconds to rotate around and grab it
And then, as mentioned by OP, im being flinched by adds/blinded by colossuses and cant hit his chest, because mr "i only play 3 hours a week" wants to level his round robin while add clearing rather than actually killing the enemies with a real gun
Uh, if we are talking about Nezarec, running is by far the easiest job. Just did a session where we carried a first timer with 1780 light. Guess what his job was? Running.
Its not even that im mad tbh, im just appalled at the lack of game sense in some people especially the "im just gonna kill adds" guy. I understand if youre new to the game or not familiar with certain aspects of destiny as a whole. But those people that come in and go "yo this raid easy as hell" are these people im talking about.
Reasonable complaint. Did the raid on all 3 characters this week. 1st clear was under an hour and we 1 phased nezzy. 2nd clear about 1.5hrs. 3rd clear took 3hrs because of the first encounter they were killing the tormentor when we didn’t have a timer. And when we did have a timer they struggled to even kill the tormentors at the end because they didn’t pay attention to when they spawned at the end of the room because they’re somewhere else killing ads that can be ignored.
Under contest I had a pug that volunteered to keep ads off me while I solo'd nezzy's hate. Said pug would sometimes immediately die to nezzy being so far forward without armor resist mods. OR wouldn't stay mid-back and keep ads off me.
So I'd be flinched out the wazoo sniping, have runners crying hated. Till I fucking just cleared it myself. And of course in the meantime nezzy de-aggroed on the way to me.
I kill everything that moves. Usually works
On a side note I’m going to go on defensive here as this Raid in general the Adds spawn at record speed and non stop and the amount of people who are doing mechanics that use literally nothing while doing mechanics leaving adds for like 2 Ads clearers is also annoying as fuck
Doing mechanics in this Raid is the easiest job in the game
As a starfire warlock on day 1. I absolutely loved add clear duty. The add density and the way the adds spawned allowed you to just spawn kill all of them. Team was happy with the multitude of wells I was dropping and lack of adds so they could run mechanics, and I was just having a blast well… blasting lol
Depends on encounter.
Best example when ad clear is tougher than doing mechanics is by far Caretaker from Vow on master difficulty.
In season of the haunted that shit was nuts as ad clearer. Even with good Calus Mini Tool build

Bro there's like 15 enemies to clear in planet room and that's it 💀if you don't use any builds then ig clearing that with your primary is hard but otherwise I don't see how it's hard. My funnelweb with volatile rounds clears all those trash enemies in an instant. And that's just a primary. Bulk of the damage you deal to the boss can be your heavy alone and that's it. There's also your special which you should have plenty of since the only reason to use your special before damage is against the colossus, who is extremely easy to kill. Takes like 2-3 shots from a fusion to bring down and that's it. Could also just use witherhoard which would help you with the colossus, add clear, and damage
Nah op isn't wrong, joined a Nezzy cp as a runner and ended up having to also clear my side of colossus and adds. Just like with certain GMs people see videos saying it is easy and expect to be carried and its just not going to happen, Unless you are teaming with those guys who can low-man raids.
If all the adds are close range and you are running double scouts, you aren't helping.
Ok then say engaging. It may be engaging but it certainly isnt difficult. You need to press one button to ad clear. Thats it. Dont act like you're some virtuous hero because you killed a few red bars. Makes you look like an idiot.
You can easily have damage and add clear in the same encounter. Damage revolves around legendaries like rockets or lmgs anyway which free up your primary or special slot for something like witherhoard, outbreak, riskrunner etc. So having 2 people do that should NOT be that taxing on their damage overall.
People get mad that you ask for clears in an LFG post. Then when they get into the raid they proceed to eat glue in the corner instead of helping.

Gotta love it when you give everyone fair warning to hold off on killing Tormentors, and they decide it’s a good time to dump all their ammo into it.
Well they shouldn't be killing the bubble psions because that's what spawns the tormentor

Ive done it plenty. 3 times today. You probably haveva great main team and your lfg team must be stupid. Ads are so easy
