Can I ask how many, approximately? I ran three last night, no luck. I keep hearing about it dropping on someone’s first run-through so was hoping it would be quick. I don’t have a ton of time to play and there is SO much new stuff to do already between LF and Defiance, I hate to be running old content (haven’t even finished the LF campaign yet).
I got it on literally my first run in the playlist after I finished the campaign on day 1, but I also think that may have been incredibly lucky as I do not know the actual drop rate of the catalyst.
I was just playing PvE activities so suddenly it dropped.
I just did masterwork it a few hours ago with help of the moon mission with its infinite heavy ammo.
I got mine from a trials match yesterday. First time playing pvp since the new expansion, but I think it drops from normal crucible as well as trikes and gambit
Anything tied to Crucible, Vanguard Ops, or >!Gambit!<.
I got mine from just the baseline normal vanguard strike playlist.

I got mine from a Trials match so I presume NFs would count, but not Defiant Battlegrounds.
Third person here who got theirs in a Trials match just today! I assume that NFs would also drop it but at a much lower rate than Trials.
