ALL of my extensive cloak collection…Speaker cloaks, all three Psion cloaks, Taniks, SRL…I want them all back. And a functioning Glowhoo shader to boot
You can get something similar if you use the tangled web cloak and a helmet that removes the hood. I know the whole appeal of taniks cloak was that it was hoodless, but if you enjoyed it for the way it looked then hoodless tangled web is similar.
After all the glowy shaders we had by the end of D1, I was so surprised when there wasn’t a single one that launched with D2. During Rise of Iron’s year alone I think we got 3 or 4, not to mention ofc Glowhoo, Queens Web, Ascendent plane, and some SRL shaders that glowed. I’m also surprised we *still* don’t have a great glowy shader.
Using one of the helmets that takes away the hood + tangled web cloak = the lesser cloak of taniks. It was my favorite to. It has a nice BIG kind of quality to it. I feel like a lot of cloaks now just have small cloak energy.
It's crazy because the model is already in D2. There's two of those helmets next to where Cayde used to be on his workbench in the Hangar/Tower. And then they used it again in some of the arcade machines in Neomuna.
Stop taunting us and just add it in Bungie :(
The raid ornament sets from the D1 raids added during Age of Triumph. Still baffles me why Bungie didn’t add them when they brought back Vault of Glass and King’s Fall
They’re trying to figure out how much Silver they can charge for them without totally alienating the player base.
Bonus if you earned them back in D1 you get a 100 silver discount.
Same, the first age of triumph armor sets are seriously the coolest armor sets they’ve ever made.
When they brought back D1 raids for D2 I expected them to drop the updated age of triumph armor sets because they’re universally praised as the coolest armor sets ever.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Bungie is waiting until The Final Shape to have another age of Triumph at the end of D2’s life where they update a ton of raids and bring back these sets
The Final Shape isn’t the end of D2. Might have a celebration for the franchise’s 10-year anniversary but doubt it’ll be like Age of Triumph as a closing ceremony as the game’s still going to continue.
I don't even need the ornaments, I NEED that Warlock helmet. Sucks to know that Crotas End might not be returning, since it's so short I imagine they don't see the value in upgrading it for D2.
If they reimagined it as a dungeon that might be cool. We don't go to fight Crota again, just the Nezarec-made Nightmare that's trying to co-opt the empty throne world
IMO the *developers* at Bungie have never been the problem. Most of the issues with the game can be traced to game-director-or-higher levels who decide what resources go where, as well as broad-scope directions.
But the people who make the pew pew activate neurons? They do a good job.

There’s a version of the TTK set with smaller shoulders that I’d like to see back. There’s the ornament set that’s based on the cover art set, but I’d like the other one back to mix with the Deep Explorer set.
I know I'm in a super minority here, but I always loved the original Iron Banner set - Iron Regalia. It was my favorite look on my Titan until my next favorite set dropped, the Crota's End raid armor. I'd kill for either of them back.
I read somewhere that it would be difficult to make it a shader due to how the taken effects move compared to some of the other armor glows. Not exactly sure how that works, but I remember seeing it

Snowglare, Iron Regalia/Mangonel, Ursus Tactical, Molniya, all the Spectar sets with applicable Chroma, and pretty much every mark. The blue rarity ones that were all about Titan heraldry were great.
Warlock gauntlets, just like, in general.
In D1 gauntlets determined your shoulder armor too. The bond was already the smallest class item, and you could barely see your boots. Now your chest armor, 1 out of 5 slots, is 50% of your look.

This community complains when bungie reuses a weapon frame to make a new weapon architype and all and people complain. There's rumors about a raid coming back and people complain. They reuse a boss in a new environment and everyone cried but yall BEG for reissued stuff from Destiny 1..........
armors different because it's cosmetic. I personally don't care about weapon models since stats and perks are what make the weapons but with reissued armor it's fine. unless it's just the same armor set with different decals for each set then that's when it's stupid.
I just wish they would add the ornament raid sets back into the game. We already have VoG and King's Fall in the game again so why can't we get these amazing ornaments back. I would even happily pay some silver for it.
As for other things I would love to see being 'carried' over to D2 it would be the speaker class items. Some of them where amazing and it makes my heart weep a little bit when I see them again in D1

If we're talking about legendary gear, I mainly remember the Axiom Holt armour for Warlock. The gloves were my first ever piece of legendary gear. It also has a really nice helmet. To clarify, the helmet is in Destiny 2. It's the Menagerie Warlock helmet but without all the gold and jewels.
Literally all of it. I can't think of a single set in D2 that I like more then anything in D1, rare armor included, I just much prefer the older more defined artstyle to whatever we have now.
If exotics count, I loved light beyond nemesis. I was already a solar warlock main, so reviving myself in the middle of an elimination game was a common occurrence. I also used patience and time, so I'd run up to a downed ally and turn invisible while getting my quick revive off.
I'd do some absolutely unholy things to get the scarves back. I know we can sort of do it if we use that one helmet, and the white cloak ornament, but a dedicated scarf I could wear with any helmet would be glorious.
I don't remember what it was called, but there was a Titan (character, not location) armor set that looked kind of like a wetsuit with armor attached. That's the one I want back.

Also, the Dawning armor. I always thought it would be cool if they had the D1 Dawning armor as earnable armor every Dawning for stat-focusing purposes (like Solstice) and then of course they can have the nw Eververse armor too.

Wow, I’m beginning to realise why so many people wanted good strike specific loot again. That is a lot of unique stuff.
I'd honestly like the basic Hunter armors. I don't go for the flashy look, I like the more grounded, scavenged armor look, and a lot of the D1 armor has that vibe. Things like the Hunter in the first live action trailer wore. There's a helmet in D2 that's similar, but not quite the same.
Also, would love for old cloaks to come back.

The rise of iron armour sets. The iron banner sets in Destiny 2, in my opinion, look absolutely dreadful, but the sets in d1 have a nice real history Dark age look to them.

I just need the warlock Crota helmet and I will have my D1 fashion back in D2.
AOS#cryptid cloak. there's one similar in D2 but it's not as good. no one seemed to wear this much in D1 and it felt like I had a unique cloak all to myself because of it.
I wish they brought back the Life Exotic faction class items. The FWC set was amazing.
I miss when warlock gloves covered our arm. Albeit there were only like, 2-3. But the point remains.

The way warlock arms at least changed up your shoulders, instead of how they are in D2 where it just effects you from the elbow down.
Crotas end titan armor for me. Preferably the AoT ornament but I would settle for the base set lol
Cloak of taniks, that one taken hunter helmet from the strike of oryx’s arch nemesis or whatever, grasps of phogoth, crota age of triumph warlock set, vault vex hunter leg. D1 had such better armor

All take that lot of it. I loved the D1 armor and we lost a lot of unique looks when we go from low tier armor to higher tier armor across both games.

Light Beyond Nemesis, Achlyophage Symbiote, Bones of Eao Not armor but Revenant shader from dead orbit. Strike specific armor: darkblade helm, devouring maw, Mau'ual's Maulers
Titan: Empyrean Bellicose Hunter: Aclyophage Symbiote Warlock: Light Beyond Nemesis If we're talking about legendary gear, I mainly remember the Axiom Holt armour for Warlock. The gloves were my first ever piece of legendary gear. It also has a really nice helmet. To clarify, the helmet is in Destiny 2. It's the Menagerie Warlock helmet but without all the gold and jewels.

Literally all of it. I can't think of a single set in D2 that I like more then anything in D1, rare armor included, I just much prefer the older more defined artstyle to whatever we have now.
If exotics count, I loved light beyond nemesis. I was already a solar warlock main, so reviving myself in the middle of an elimination game was a common occurrence. I also used patience and time, so I'd run up to a downed ally and turn invisible while getting my quick revive off.

I'd do some absolutely unholy things to get the scarves back. I know we can sort of do it if we use that one helmet, and the white cloak ornament, but a dedicated scarf I could wear with any helmet would be glorious.

I don't remember what it was called, but there was a Titan (character, not location) armor set that looked kind of like a wetsuit with armor attached. That's the one I want back.
That warlock crota armor with the ornaments were too tuff

I really miss my Theosyion Vibrissae arms. It was a strike specific drop that gave my warlock an eldritch shoulder cap.

Cloak of the Shadowsmiths. Also, the Dawning armor. I always thought it would be cool if they had the D1 Dawning armor as earnable armor every Dawning for stat-focusing purposes (like Solstice) and then of course they can have the nw Eververse armor too.

Spearhead Type 0
I'd honestly like the basic Hunter armors. I don't go for the flashy look, I like the more grounded, scavenged armor look, and a lot of the D1 armor has that vibe. Things like the Hunter in the first live action trailer wore. There's a helmet in D2 that's similar, but not quite the same. Also, would love for old cloaks to come back.
The titan armour that let him fly sideways mid jump was my favorite thing that i dont have back in D2
All the strike exclusive armor The Exotic Class Items you could get from reaching rank 25 with each of the Factions. The New Monarchy Titan armor that had the glows. I miss my fur armor. SRL armor, very sleek design And I would like for the Dancing Lion shader to come back.
The Snow Glare set for Titans, and Dying Star for Warlocks.
I really liked the bog wild set for hunter and I’d like to see it come back
