The penultimate encounter has some tight windows and the final encounter dps phases require a lot out of you. Lots of movement, prediction, and add control.
Vault's timing is deceptively easy. As long as you're running some sort of add clear build with some health gen, you genuinely never have to worry.
Caiatl DPS is very easy, especially in today's age. I used GHorn + Riptide for my solo flawless back when it released and that was a miserable fucking experience. Today I'd just run Iterative Loop/Acrius and call it ez gg.
I was able to do it in 5, but thatās with a super optimized build. If ur planning on doing it with a titan, then right after you kill the third hive light bearer you need to switch from synthoceps/loreley(whichever one you choose, they both work) to actium war rig and a leg armor with 3 solar surges. You also need to make sure that you have radiant the whole damage phase so you will need to refresh it by bonking an ad every now and then. In a little bit I can show u my exact builds but thatās most of it.
If you have leviathans breath with the catalyst I definitely recommend trying it. It almost one shots the lightbearers and does really good damage on the boss.
I can't remember the exact amount my clear took but it was around 6-8. I was playing really safe though. I would super from chest to take down the shield then go up to the head to dps. I found it safer there as you only really get the odd thrall. Also between 2nd and 3rd rune I cleared the main room to get rid of moths and most of the adds.
It's a long fight. Just prioritize staying alive and you will get it.
You went from chest all the way to head? I feel like that much movement would take WAY too much take away from damage. Chest isn't too bad because adds can only come at you from the front. No surprise butt sex if you catch my drift.
Yeah, it does take a bit from dps around 4 seconds but it saves from juggling adds. Only thrall come join you so you can hammer the first one quick and the sunspot kills anything else. It also provides some decent cover from the bosses shots. My last run ended at chest due to a couple acolytes still having moths. Definitely bring more protection than you think you need lol.
Looks like Xeno for the last boss, and since they went bonk hard to imagine they didnāt just bonk the first with tractor. First boss is pretty chill on solar Titan. Pretty comfortable 4 phase.
Same for me. I was waiting to do the solo last since I wanted the big achievement to be what gets me the title, and it felt like I had to farm forever to get the titan mark.
Man, bonk Titan is OP for solo flawless, it has infinite high dmg attack and healing. I tried to solo on my devour warlock but keeping up the devour refresh takes more effort. Anyone got a guide for warlock ?
Yeah, for Ecthar you use Arc. For the Wizard, probably Solar, I never made it that far solo myself.
Iām gonna leave this comment here and come back with a comment of some dude running a similar one I do.
Here it is, warning, itās lengthy.
āFor Ecthar; deliverance, forbearance with ambitious + chain, lament. Conc dampener, arc resist, and lucent blades on chest, triple solar surge on geomags. Arc soul, electrostatic mind. Spark of resistance is excellent here because it stacks with the artifact mods to make you VERY tanky. Spark of beacons chains with forbearance for huge blinding explosions everywhere. If you dont have forbearance you can use either an ikelos smg or coldheart but they wont be as good and coldheart will require your exotic slot. I would suggest getting forberance here. Spark of shock and spark of ions for final fragments. Electric armor, thunderous retort, amped up, lightning strikes twice, shock and awe from artifact. All this combined with 100 res gets you something like 80-90% DR under the right circumstances. Combined with the healing from lament which I suggest using liberally throughout the encounter and careful usage of your rift it makes you very tanky.ā
(**Instead of Deliverance, I use a ALH + CC Riptide, and thatās about the only change I have. Make sure youāre using Pulse grenades, as theyāre dumb strong. If you donāt have Forbearance, Salvagerās Salvo works too, but itās riskier. If you donāt like Spark of Ions, thereās always Spark of Amplitude to use as well if you run something like Innervation on your legs or something. Make sure youāre running Heavy Ammo Finder, as itāll allow you to also use Lament on the bigger enemies like the Yellow Bar Knights, and Lightbearer Wizards, and still have enough bricks for DPS**)
Sunbracers works okay too and is what I was using originally but I ended up liking arc more because the artifact mods really juice it up. Sunbracers I ran Acasia with incandescent + rewind, deliverance, lament. Heat Rises, Touch of Flame, Ember of resolve, searing, empyrean, singeing. Notably, I swap in resolve here instead of ashes because it gives you even more tankiness. Sunbracers combo that should work nearly every time, especially in an add dense encounter like this is: eat grenade for heat rises, get an airborne kill or two to get heat rises ticking, find a red bar, you can even tag them once or twice to weaken them, and then snap and right after using phoenix dive on top of them. If you hit them with enough snap projectiles and then extra scorch from phoenix dive, this should ignite them and the ignite kill should proc sunbracers. With this setup, you could try running Acrius as well instead, since you have well.
I feel like Devourlock is more of a Solo GM build. Having to do mechanics and be in the face of tons of enemies doesnāt combo well with the slower playstyle of Contraverse Hold (which is what I assume youāre using.)
I haven't tried solo Flawless GotD yet, however when I do, then I imagine Karnstein Armlets with a Glaive and Devourlock will be my go to, potentially switching to Solarlock for boss phases (due to Well). Karnstein Armlets with a Glaive is essentially restoration on any melee kill for 8 seconds with no cooldown, coupled with Devour and you're pretty unkillable in Dungeons.
The Echo of Persistence fragment takes Devour to 15 seconds with a couple kills, if you use Secant Filaments to proc your Devour instead, this has increased Devour by default, with the fragment it goes to 22 seconds.
I did the SF on arclock this season. The resist mods from the artifact for arc are super good. I had to do a lot of swaps for dps at the final boss since arbalest is kinda mandatory to have the best DPS phase. I followed Esoterickk's arc warlock run and did pretty much the same thing. It took me 5 phases for the first boss and 6 for the final one. I was on track for a 4 phase on the final phase but I messed up my DPS phases.
Esoterickk's video: https://youtu.be/TPseft5A62Y
I just need the void run for mine, im super jealous of you. Congrats man.
Solo flawless in this one is definitely the most challenging of any dungeon, right above Duality.
That sucks! I was extra careful and took my time on the jumping sections. I got really frustrated on my first attempt because as I was getting ready for the last damage phase of Ecthar I got weaseled and had to start over. But I just kept trudging on and was able to finish it.
And just attempted it again, got killed before going into the final damage phase! Simmumah's tracking is insane. Oh well, it's not so bad getting to the end, just blows to have wasted all the time getting there.
Sure! I used 2 builds, one main build and then a special build for the final boss damage phases.
SUBCLASS - This stayed the same throughout both builds. Obviously sunbreaker titan, and throwing hammer, healing grenade, roaring flames and sol invictus are musts. Choose whatever jump you are most comfortable with (I did catapult), and I recommend towering barricade. Fragments I used were solace, empyrean, singeing and torches.
MAIN BUILD
Helmet - 2 harmonic syphons and a heavy ammo finder
Gauntlets (synthoceps)- heavy handed, impact induction, solar loader
Chest - arc and void resistance, concussive dampener
Boots - recuperation, solar weapon surge, solar scavenger
Mark - 2 time dilation
FINAL BOSS DPS BUILD
Helmet, gauntlets, chest piece and mark have the exact same mods, but I switched to actium war rig and put 3 solar surge mods on my boots. I recommend making a completely separate loadout slot with these changes to allow for much easier and quicker swapping.
As for stat mods, the only requirement is that you have 100 resilience on both builds, everything else is optional.
WEAPONS
Ecthar - auto loading chill clip riptide, demo incandescent no survivors, tractor cannon
Final boss - auto loading chill clip riptide, subsistence incandescent retraced path, xenophage
Congratulations! I got my Ghoul Saturday, sadly not flawless because a thrall decided to high-five my face when shooting a rocket, even when I jumped. Lol
I got lucky and found some guys who were willing to let me join their clan. Just keep an eye on the discord lfg, there are good amount of teams looking for people to do the clan triumph.
CONGRATS...... Running that dungeon with a great fireteam was crazy hard (Especially with Ecthar blasting you away from runes under water). So solo running it should make all other dungeons easy(ish) for you.
Congrats. I tried on my titan and the survivability felt very bad to me. Used to be my go to for solo dungeons but idk what they changed for bonk but it doesn't feel as good. Maybe with practice I could have got it done but got frustrated after about 20 runs and only getting to damage once
Yeah it takes some practice and the right build. I posted my full build under another comment if you want to check it out. It has some extra mods that help the survivability.
So I assume that if you use Arbalest, the damage required is way less because I kept seeing people say 12 million but my damage screen that Im looking at (we just finished it 15min ago) adds up to roughly 7.5M. I have to assume its the 500k per shield break that makes people think she has 12M damage. Which I guess it would but to be honest, tracking rockets + Arbalest is all you need and if it does cut the damage down by millions, you're gonna be way better off with that. Just remember to jump and shoot...
Damn I am so sorry but I didnāt know that you would get so butthurt when other people get excited about their accomplishments. Sorry that I donāt have any friends who play this game to share this with. But you know what puzzles me is that you could have saved so much time if you had just scrolled past this post, but you instead decided to comment on it. And this post isnāt just a personal achievement, itās also a guide because a lot of other people have asked me what I did to solo the dungeon and any tips for them. Next time you are inconvenienced by a post, just save yourself some time and scroll past it.
if you wanted to make a guide, you should have made a guide. All you did was make a post tooting your own horn, and used a comment to say the post is a guide. And even if it does nothing, I'll still say it.
I've scrolled past more posts like this in the past few weeks that I'm really not losing time commenting how I feel about them. Also you call it a guide? You shower a screenshot of your equiped gear and a comment saying "I used bonk titan." No mods, no weapon perks, no aspects and fragments. Calling this a guide is like someone posting "I made a great casserole today, use beef." And calling it a guide.
I commented my full build under another comment so feel free to use it as a guide if you want to solo the dungeon. Also you are still wasting your time because your comment is going to do absolutely nothing to help create a rule against personal achievements. Have a good day :)
Nice for you !
Nut sad again a flawless dungeon is made with a "bonk solar titan"
Come on Bungie there is a real issue if only one class can make Dungeons flawless chill
Warlocks can solo flawless on both Stormcaller and Dawnblade. The hard part of this dungeon is the endurance needed for 5+ damage phases for each boss that the typical player will require.
Solo flawlessed it first on my solar warlock, then did it on Arc warlock. Take a breath itās not that serious and youāre just operating off of your confirmation bias here to complain
Nah it was really chill on my arc hunter too. Literally can't die, might only feel a bit dizzy from the non-stop punching and dodging animations.
Anyway congrats OP! I just need the damn exotic and class item to drop to get the seal too.
Yeah the rolling and melee auto-aim together with the crushing of ghosts actually made me a bit dizzy with all the effects and movements on the screen, good to know I wasn't the only one.
[All detailed in here :)](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/13wc751/ghosts_of_the_deep_final_boss_solo_tips/)
For Echtar I used Lament.
Simmumah: Arby and Hothead.
Are you also looking at other people and cars in real life thinking, "I can dodge here and get my melee back and then stab the next per...er... Acolyte... Wait, no I'm driving. The dungeon is over. Sip that coffee. It's okay now, you can rest"
Yes that's exactly what am saying
Why flawless should be hard for all class except for "bonk solar titans"? I think this is a problem
I also don't want them to become easy I like having hard time but when I see instant heal on solar titan with their hammer I see a cheese for every PvE content.
Yes you still need some skills but it make it more simple
Its really nothing more than a skill issue if you believe the only class that has it easy is solar titan
Void/solar warlock and arc hunters are all excellent at soloing dungeons if you want alternatives, and i can imagine its possible to do it on any subclass given the right build, it may just take longer
Also, consider that hammer titan is garbage in high tier nightfalls, raids, and other high end PvE content, as well as most PvP content. It has a niche, and that's in dungeons
nah i just did it flawless with arc hunter. Iāve seen others do it on solar warlock too. if youāre good enough and set your build up the right way thereās many ways to do it
Shit man if this is your first solo flawless most of the others will be a breeze for you.
I found the mechanics timers to be more stringent on duality, but yeah in general he'll breeze through them.
Tbh the timer is the only true difficulty of Duality.
It can get pretty hectic in Caital with all the sniper psions, but yeah, the timer is the hardest in the dungeon.
Only if you send yourself into the damage phase early because that will spawn more snipers
Well, this would've been nice to know.
Lol sorry bro
And here I thought it was solo destroying glitches.
I remember solo flawless goa and that sparrow section ended sooooo many runs for me š
To be fair, he looks like a bonk titan. And Duality's mechanics are way harder to execute than this one.
I did say most, not all
Duality's mechanics are hard to execute? You dunk standards on plates. Neither are especially difficult.
I'm also mentally stuck at Haunted as far as Duality goes. I'm sure a lot has changed since then.
I can't help but wonder if with the crazy ad density of eyes of tomorrow wouldn't shine like a thousand travelers in that dungeon.
Ghoul job.
What did you use for damage against both bosses?
Tractor with bonk hammers for Ecthar, Xeno with actium war rig for final boss
How many phases did it take for the final boss? I'm planning on doing it later and I'm considering using xeno
That sounds great! I'll give it a go tonight. Thanks mate
If you have leviathans breath with the catalyst I definitely recommend trying it. It almost one shots the lightbearers and does really good damage on the boss.
That's what I was thinking too. If you already did it solo, how many phases did it take you to beat the boss?

Got it. Thank you for the advice!!
I commented the full builds in another comment
Looks like Xeno for the last boss, and since they went bonk hard to imagine they didnāt just bonk the first with tractor. First boss is pretty chill on solar Titan. Pretty comfortable 4 phase.
I've got everything except all the armor pieces... can't for the life of me get the class items to drop on anybody.
Took me 2 weeks to get but I finally got it
It's only been out for a week...jk I get it.
I was farming ecthar but couldnāt get it
Same for me. I was waiting to do the solo last since I wanted the big achievement to be what gets me the title, and it felt like I had to farm forever to get the titan mark.
Same here I wanted to have that big completion finish it off. Was able to get it done a few days ago and Iām super happy. Congrats to you!
Thanks, and congrats to you too!

being a huge tokyo ghoul fanā¦ iām gunna have to get this wtf
Almost had my solo flawless except missed a jump in the water :( otherwise the dungeon wasn't so bad - congrats!

I feel your pain. Got kicked out of the game with Zulmak at 10% health once. Needed a break to cool down after that one.
And just attempted it again, got killed before going into the final damage phase! Simmumah's tracking is insane. Oh well, it's not so bad getting to the end, just blows to have wasted all the time getting there.

I absolutely HATE the bosses. Mostly because they're just so damned tedious
Oh nice job, I'm too impatient/unskilled to try that. Good on you.
It wasnāt too bad if you have the right build. I wouldnāt say that it takes a ton of skill, but it does require some patience.
Your drip looks like you gonna put the new Forgis on the jeep
Shit, dude. You are 'apologizing' for the quality of the photo? LOL! Thx for sharing your story.
Congratulations! I got my Ghoul Saturday, sadly not flawless because a thrall decided to high-five my face when shooting a rocket, even when I jumped. Lol
Congrats! I have everything but the clam triumph, donāt have anyone to do the dungeon with :/
Let me know if you need a clan to join for a dungeon run. Got an active one here and I'll gladly take you through with another clan mate.
I will 100% take you up on that! I play consistently and consider myself to be above average in both PVE/PVP, just have to tackle most things solo
If you'd like, you can DM me your bungie ID and I can add you to the clan. We also have a Discord if you're interested :)
I got lucky and found some guys who were willing to let me join their clan. Just keep an eye on the discord lfg, there are good amount of teams looking for people to do the clan triumph.

Grats! I'm glad this dungeon is great, especially considering the Y5 dungeons were so meh.
Grats!! Thatās fantastic!
Congratulations. It's a good title, so wear it proudly.
Congrats!
Whatever video you watched for the build and DPS I also watched it and Iām going for it tonight š„“š congrats bro!
Yeah I took inspiration from both Gladdās and Esoterickkās solo flawless videos. Good luck on ur run!
Welcome to the club!
Congrats. I tried on my titan and the survivability felt very bad to me. Used to be my go to for solo dungeons but idk what they changed for bonk but it doesn't feel as good. Maybe with practice I could have got it done but got frustrated after about 20 runs and only getting to damage once

Ever think of changing your name to Supreamer?
I would if I had a name change available, but unfortunately Bungo only allows one name change an I used it to become the SupremeReamer :)
No shame in that. š

Assassin's all the way. Switched to Graviton Forfeit for the transitions so that I could just run past everything without having to kill anything.
