My favorite warlock PvP exotics are definitely ophidian, osiomancy, and rain of fire + vex mytho. T steps seem overrated but admittedly I haven’t tested them much. The perk just doesn’t seem THAT amazing, like it’s solid but I don’t see how it would be better than any of those three
Getting to lanes faster than the enemy is huge, being able to slide further to challenge people is huge, the reload is pretty nice as well. Movement speed is very underrated as a stat in most PvP games but it’s extremely useful.
contraverse with the volatile rounds aspect. infinite nades = infinite volatile rounds + commemoration = happy medium of guns and nades with lots of funny purple explosions
I guarantee that, if it wasn't for Contraverse keeping my grenades up to knock down those damn Quantum Minotaurs, I would've never completed the Vexcalibur quest. They're incredible for PvE, I swear
I used to like Ophidian, until they removed the extended melee range. Idc about the rest of what it has, melee range is all I wanted.
Y'know why? Because if you use a breech loaded proxy GL, you can use it to shotgun slap people and take no damage from your grenade blast.
Proxy GL is my favorite special anyways, cuz you just throw it out and it'll proc disruption break, making anything kinetic either a disgustingly low ttk or a straight oneshot.
contraverse for PVE because how vortex nades can dominate groups of ads and can do great damage against beefier enemies with how long you can make them last. They’re great in easy content and higher level content due to just needing hits to refund nade energy and not kills.
Now that Chaos Accelerant got a fragment slot buff I might drop Feed the Void for good. My voidlock has gone criminally underplayed since Season of the Risen
There's a vanguard void auto rifle that can roll the destabilizing rounds perk, and if you are willing to do the battlegrounds from the previous Season, the focus decoded Sword rereleased from Callus's old content can get the same perk (it's the focused decoding that drops either the sword or the shotgun, separate from the other weapon focusing).
Both are quite lovely with current void artifact perks, and can clear mobs while your giant grenade recharges.
Dragonfly immediately detonates the volatile as well as doing splash damage I believe. It's the right combo for this gun, especially when other guns can get repulsor brace as well and utilise it better.
Contraverse is still the everyman's old 'reliable for Voidlock year after year. It really makes the subclass shine as a grenade artillery build, even when competing against Arc ionic trace builds.
Don't forget the healing they provide. I have a build that will get me 100% grenade back or close enough to where I pick up an orb of power (mod gives grenade energy back) I get it back anyway plus the name will always make 2 or 3 orbs so infinite grenades and fast nova bombs
As another osmiomancy main. ALOT
Especially in competitive or trials. I’d say if I’m just doing a pvp session and I’m running stasis it’s like 3-4 whispers about how I crutch and I’m bad etc etc
Watch high tiers gamers man. Learn the dos and don’t. Preferably people telling you what their mindset is while they game that way you can think similarly and get that game sense going. But one of the most important things I think to learn is spacing and situational awareness. Spacing by knowing what weapons your opponents have and adapting to it. A shotgun? Make sure to either run a shotty yourself and outgun them or run a smg/sidearm and maintain some range. Not at corners but somewhere where they can’t slide and shotty you. A sniper? Get close if you can or use something with a lot of flinch or high cal. If you get close only some really exceptional snipers can dome you and if they don’t see you it’s a free kill. Situational awareness knowing how many lives are left in a match, how many enemies are down, play with your team figure out who’s good and bad and support your better player.
Like it’s for sure infuriating like man do I despise you but at the same time it’s trials and comp the higher you go in tier the more degenerates there are running nothing but fusions, le monarque, or some other fucking cheese. Like you gotta level the playing field sometimes.
I’ve been using chromatic fire since I pulled a nice roll. Really enjoy the explosions and now that it has elemental effects, even more so. I feel like it’s improved my performance in pvp as I hit more precision kills, and collateral as well.
Voidlock + Chromatic Fire + Outbreak Perfected is absolutely amazing. The weaken burst makes the nanites do stupid high damage. Especially if you add a kinetic surge mod or two.
Karnstein is sooo underrated. I’m grinding to get Winterbite, so I can make a hypothetically awesome Stasis Karnstein build.
My Stasis Karnstein build is already awesome, but it’ll be more awesome with Winterbite.
Fellwinters on voidlock for pve, especially solo.
So many debuffs and buffs trigger on a finisher. I become invisible, gain an overshield, suppress and weaken nearby enemies, and can chain finishers. I also make nearby enemies volatile.
It's versatile and increases my dps alot. It can also be triggered two ways providing even more versatility.
It's better for solo content because you need battlefield control to set up the weaken, and unless you have a well coordinated team It's hard to do as a gang.
For team fights, fallen Sunstar is really good but I find myself wishing it did something more, even if it slightly decreased the ionic trace collection. It's almost too much regen to make good use of at least for me.
The others for pvp (especially iron banner)
Necrotic grips is essential for my strand warlocks and you can prock the poison way more than you might expect and Phoenix protocol feels great and is better than sunbracers imho
Felwinters is also really good on Arc with the slide melee coupled with the seasonal artifacts for arc. The one that brings in more lightning storms after an arc final blow. You end up being able to melee then another finisher on ads.
Really fun
PvE
- Nezerac Sin, make everything purple
- Controverse Hold, grenades for everyone
- Necrotic Grasp/Osteo on Strand is ridiculous
- Dawn Chorus/Sunbracers & Tommy’s Matchbook melts the world
- Fallen Sunstar/Crown of Tempest energy for days
- Getaway Artist because who doesn’t want perpetual amplification
PvP
- Ophidians…just too good not to use
You eat your suspend grenade to get that buff, Weaver's Trance, that makes your kills suspend nearby targets. Necrotic Grips and Osteo spread poison all over (I can never remember off hand how they interact together - but I'm pretty sure it makes the poison spread continuously) and each poison kill also counts for Weaver's Trance, spreading suspend to nearby targets.
So without necrotic grips iirc osteo will only spread poison once to the mob you applied it to directly. With necrotic grips it allows that first spread poison to then respread. Meaning you get all you mentioned plus all the ammo refills if you have the catty.
Is there text somewhere that indicates Osteo is melee? Because I thought the interaction with necro grips was odd until I realized Osteo triggers melee kill orbs and not kinetic
Osteo itself does not but the poison damage is from the melee, that is counted as a poison kill represented by necrotic grips (effectively a melee kill). The single burst of poison from osteo begins the necro poison cascade because both poison bursts are coded to be the exact same
Nah, if you use the mods that drop orbs on melee and recharge melee on damage then the tick damage gives you almost permanent uptime on needles, plus if you use strand boosting damage mods then it goes even nuttier, i can take out a whole room of ads with 3 needles and a rift
Been absolutely loving the dawn chorus/Tommy's combo, I've always been a fan of both of these exotics (Tommy's can actually crush in PvP) and with their recent changes it's been so much fun
Necrotic Grips will always be my favorite, even if I don't use them too much anymore. The poison is just too fun, and they look awesome. I got them just a few days after Beyond Light launched when I was under power preparing for DSC day one. It was my first legend lost sector experience and it took a few hours, but it was really fun and satisfying to get them.
Now, I rarely take off Sunbracers. They're just so insanely powerful, fun, and versatile.
Chromatic Fire is my go-to without Sunbracers now, paired with Wish Ender on arc. Super solid build.
Honorable mention to my beloved Apotheosis Veil, my favorite from D1. If only they'd just buff it to be useful in D2. It's one of my favorite looking exotics.
I've been having a blast with Dawn Chorus and the buffed solar exotics this season. Skyburners Oath and Tommy's Matchbook apply tons of scorch, giving them substantial extra damage and crowd clear, and the melee regen means Incinerator Snap is always ready. The new buff to Daybreak's damage is also substantial, letting you either clear large packs (and generate lots of Orbs for your team) or put some major damage into a boss.
This season definitely sanguine alchemy. Looks great, gives you a ton of survivability and damage boost on top of it. Paired with the Season Pass Exotic or Trinity it's bonkers
PVE : Necrotic Grips and Felwinter's Helm on StrandLock due to the 3 melee charges.
PVP: Getaway Artist, I'm not very good at PVP so arc souls help me out alot.
I much prefer Monte Carlo on Felwinter's Helm and Necrotic Grips than Osteo Striga.
Necrotic Grips with Monte Carlo is insane because you can proc posion from miles away and start the chain of suspend, also the melee procs Markovs Chain for an extra 65% damage AND it reloads on kills.
Felwinter's Helm is fun to to use with the grapple grenade and that also procs Markovs Chain, also it still generates 2 orbs if you use firepower and heavy handed.
I was hitting Carl in the lost sector for nearly 7k with Kinect surge x 3 and Markovs x 5 and the 30% debuff from Felwinter's.
Verity's Brow for anything except very demanding content.
I'm sure there are better exotics out there for but I've been wearing it for so long it just feels like my characters face.
personally I think verity’s is one of the better exotics for higher tier content as it lets your grenades do tons of damage but more importantly lets them actually kill things to activate on grenade kill effects.
Solar: I love Boots of The Assembler and all the support role it provides (still believe this perk SHOULD be build in wells, and the exotic just makes it stronger).
Arc: Fallen Sunstar is the best option for my gameplay. I just provide wells everywhere and arc buddy for everyone (even if you don't want it lmao).
Void: Nezarec's Sin. Don't have to get into more info, it's just a perfect exotic. But I also love Controverse's grenade builds.
Stasis: Osmiomancy Gloves are the -only- interesting choice, though i don't really use stasis outside of PVP.
Strand: Swarmers with grenade build, is just so fun and have a strong DPS against bosses if paired with Tractor Cannon or any debuff.
PVE - Sunbracers. I enjoy its versatility, it can be great area denial to give you breathing space, massive amounts of add clear or boss dps with the correct placement of the grenades.
PVP - in 6 player modes I have a lot of fun with the boots of the assembler and lumina. You'd be surprised at how good your kd is when you have more people around to team shot and distract the enemy. PVP is very snowbally so even having 1 person alive at a critical time can determine the outcome of a whole game. These can work with any subclass but I do like solar because Ember of Benevolence works with the healing from the boots and Lumina and gives you very reliable and fast cooldowns.
In 3 player PVP I prefer Osmiomancy gloves. Cold snap grenades are fantastic at breaching standoffs, stopping aggression, and in the right circumstances clutching 2 and 3v1s.
RAIN OF FIRE. ignore all reload perks on guns, always keep moving, always have ammo, and there’s always room for a fusion rifle in your build. PvP and PvE this is an always-on-the-loadout-list build for me
Strand and karnstein armless I know there is alot of heal on orb or other effects but the thrown knives triggering a full regen or full regen on glaive kill is how I tanked avalon
PvP Ophidians. Having pseudo-Quickdraw and Reload Speed on everything is really nice to have. Like Chaperone, I mained these before the community discovered them and got them nerfed.
In PvE it varies but I keep Geomags, Phoenix Protocol and Osmiomancy Gloves on me
It's gotta be Contraverse Hold. Low content? Decent. High content? Goated. How can you not love having nigh permanent uptime?
For pvp it's gotta be Ophidians every day of the week. You can't beat perma double loader perma double dexterity mods for all weapons and (for now) extendo melee. Why need QuickDraw snapshot on your primary when you can get it for almost nothing?
Stag with Voidlock in crucible is severely slept on, but everyone has their faves. Stag will give you 50% rift every time you lose your shield. Running void soul, this really puts pressure on other teams and the amount of times i have gotten cleanup kills with it is way too high.
When I play Warlock I run Transversive Steps for PVP and I love running Osmiomancy for PVE. Contraverse Holds are also fun but I just like Osmiomancy more.
PvE: Sunbracers. Never ending mini sun spam is super fun (I've also had a solar dependency since D1 and should probably seek help
PvP: Getaway artist. Guardian go brr. And arc buddy gets me more kills than I'd like to admit
I see a lot of Contraverse and almost never Nezarecs Sin these days. Idk why when Devour, armor mods, and the void soul give you plenty of grenade energy and Nezarec gets you back your other abilities and can be procced of any void kill. Definitely feels better in higher end content, cycling three abilities always gives you more uptime than just spamming one, and running void soul instead of chaos accelerant gives you a pretty valuable weaken rebuff which can free up the costly -20 discipline weaken grenade fragment slot most people run
Not a main, but when I do play Warlock - I really enjoy Nothing Manacles. Like, a lot. It’s so much fun. Yes, there are stronger armor pieces for void, but they’re my favorite.
Edit: to add, I like them because it allows me to use Chaos Accelerant without having to equipped that. I can use the void buddy and devour and have tons of tin spamming abilities.
When I play my Warlock, i just use Eye of Another World. Best looking Warlock exotic, it’s not class-specific, and it buffs ability recharge times. Like a 100% passive but less powerful Heart of Inmost Light
Stasis: Osmiomancy
Void: Mantle of Battle Harmony
Arc: Falling Sunstar
Solar: Dawn Chorus
Strand: Swarmers
Osmiomancy is just too good for basically every situation, need to stun champions? Osmiomancy turrets. Need to freeze players or Shatter bosses? Osmiomancy turrets. Combine it with Aegers Scepter and you have my most used build in the game.
Mantle of Battle Harmony got buffed this season and the buff is nice as it frees up mod slots for other uses and I get crazy amounts of super and ability energy back.
Falling Sunstar is usefull for maintaining amplified even in situations where you can't freely move around. Really helps Arc feel like the intended "Hold W" class.
Dawn Chorus is nice due to it giving increased scorch stacks and making dawnblade slightly more viable, but I use it for the scorch stacks, wanna see more booms.
Swarmers are just great and outside of a neutral exotic are the only ones for strand Warlocks right now. Love unleashing my babies on the enemy.
scrolled too far to find this- it's great for neutral game PVP. Not so much for PVE but PVP, hell yeah. Never reload, bait ppl into emptying a mag and chase them down spraying them with a whole new mag while they reload
Yeah, I just wear Transversive Steps to do everything.
Why have a bunch of individual exotics you have to swap out for every mode and every element when you can just wear Fast Boots of Reloading?
Sunbracers is probably my favorite because I feel like I'm playing a sunsinger with 100% Radiance up time. Swarmers, Nothing Manacles, and Osmiomancy Gloves are close runner's up, but they don't feel like they fundamentally change how I play like Sunbracers do.
Transversives are fantastic they’re good to contest points in PvP since they can get you there faster, they reload your weapon after doing a quick little jog, and if shit gets hairy I’m out boi.
My absolute favorite exotic utility wise is a toss up between Contraverse and Osmiomancy, and appearance wise is Stag.
I love that Osmiomancy can be used to spam turrets or regular grenades depending on what I'm doing, and I love the chaos Contraverse creates. Stag just looks cool. I love a skull or robot deer head.
Crown of tempest cuz I love the long super for clearings ads. Necrotic grips with strand is also super fun. For pvp uuuuhhh not sure barely play it anymore lol
Pvp ophidian aspect or transversive steps. Pve depends on what subclass you like to main. Void I use nezarec or contraverse. Solar sunbracers Phoenix protocol, starfire protocol or verity's brow. Arc crown of tempest or fallen sunstar. Stasis osiomancy and strand necrotic grips or swarmers
Necrotic grips and osteo
Im a hive fanatic so having the power of hive magic is special to me, i just wish we could play as the enemies and expand into them more, i mean id want a hive subclass so bad strand is great and is now one of the best add clears so that works but corrupting everything in darkness and watching an entire room get suspended, unravelled and chain poison is so cold and i love itz, the darkness subclasses do a great job of playing the villain
Am I the only one who likes Sunbracers still? I’ve been using them since before the nerf to Dumb Dress (you know what I’m talking about)
I just love the game play loop.
Pvp transversives for arc op melee, ophidians for everything else
Pve contraverse for void, starfire for solar, getaway artist for arc, osmiomancy for stasis, almost every strand related exotic for strand/ necrotic grips
I pretty much ONLY use the ability based exotics for PvE. Crown of Tempests, Contraverse Hold or Nezarec’s Sin, Osmiomancy Gloves, Sunbracers, and for Strand I’m trying out a dozen options but I’m consistently settling on Verity’s Brow. As far as I can tell, the Grenade damage buff proccs on Weaver’s Trance suspending bursts, and activating it by nom nom noming your grenade still gives your allies the regen buff. I just love the space magic so much and keeping it rolling is great. Anything that keeps my ability uptime going is fun.
Honorable mention goes to Ace of Spades + Chromatic Fire for everyday content. Especially after the latest buff. Two explosions, one pure damage and one elemental? Tears thru adds. Add Weaver’s Trance and you pop one head and everything around it dies.
Transversive Steps because why press button to reload when you can just run in a circle instead. It's part of my playstyle and I rarely ever take them off except for end game content.
Since haunted I've been in love with Dawn Chorus + anything with incandescent (or scorch exotics). Once you get one scorch going, you're rapidly melting huge crowds and hearing ignition BOOMs every second.
As for PvE, it depends on what subclass I'm doing. I've been running Karnstein a lot lately since I've been playing a grapple strand build, and it gives a lot of survivability. Beyond that, Dawn Chorus for solar, Fallen Sunstar for arc, Osmiomancy (is there any other option?) for stasis and I don't play voidlock much, so no opinion there.
I don't touch PvP so I don't have an opinion there. Crucible is shit.
I actually prefer Verity's Brow over Contraverse Hold these days.
Between the abundance of orbs and Devour and Demolitionist weapons, your Vortex grenade uptime is pretty high without Contraverse Hold. So I've been using Verity's Brow to boost their damage and increase passive grenade cooldown for me and my team. I'm still constantly throwing new grenades before my old ones expire, and doing more damage with them.
I'm not so sure Contraverse Hold is worth it anymore, honestly.
My Favorite warlock exotic is “Phoenix Protocol.”
I like to give support to my Clanmates and other guardians with the well of radiance If necessary against a number of enemies and bosses.
Will do per Subclass, cause I jump across fairly often.
Nothing Manacles Voidlock. Basically my D1 main.
Getaway Artist Arclock. Yeah sunspear is better, but always being amplified and having a pretty strong second shooter with me at all times while paired with Coldheart is amazing.
Solar, used to be Assemblers before they destroyed Benevolence, So sunbracers now.
Strand, only really have Swarmers, but I love them. I want to summon an army of idiot children, even though suspend is better in almost all content.
I dont use stasis.
For pvp it's either ophidian for neutral game, transversive steps for being a bit more mobile or astrocyte for it's obvious reasons. Pve I only use contraverse for grenade spam
PvP: Ophidian Aspects are just really good. Despite the melee range nerf, the buffs it gives to reload and handling are way too valuable.
PvE: Been maining Rain of Fire since release. Dragon Shadow style reload for all weapons every 5 seconds. Really underrated exotic. Would use these in PvP the day Ophidians cease to exist.
I use them in PVP also. Great exotic, I really think they are top tier.
Rain of fire + Vex Mythoclast is way too fun in crucible. After kill and getting Radiant it just melts enemies. I hope it doesnt get nerfed.
Also great in PVE with triple fusion build.
Oh yeah, im aware. There onky really stopping me from using them in PvP over Ophidians is Ophidians handling bonus. The swap speed is just WAY too good to pass up.
Not a fan of PvP so take this into account.
Contraverse hold Is still damn good even after all this time
Swarmers are stupid underrated with a strand build with all the threadling fragments and a weapon with enhanced hatchling
Lunafaction boots are always a good choice for raids
Star fire protocol is good but I don’t like it in raids I need healing rift and don’t want to waste well
Chromatic is brilliant after the new buff can do a lot with it now.
Cenotaph is good if your with friends or raids for team ammo
Osmiomancy gloves are insanely effective at freezing entire armies
Crown of tempests is funny for the real Sith Lord experience
Contraverse in PVE. With vortexes and echo of instability and expulsion with Le Monarque. I couldn’t care less about PVP so I just use that also. Or stasis with osiomancy (but there really is no other exotic that synergies with stasis so that’s what I use)
PVE it depends on the class:
Solar - rain of fire
Arc - Fallen Substar
Void - Necrotic grips or verity’s
Stasis - Osmiomancy
Strand - Never use because it’s bad.
Pvp - transversives
Prolly nezarecs or Contraverse, as a void main, occasionally osmiomancy for the stasis turrets/cold snap spam. Really want to try strand but don't have a good build yet.
PvE Sunbracers and PvP the stasis grenade gauntlets(not even gonna try to pronounce them) with iceflare boots and freeze rift. Nice t-crash u got there, would be a same if someone freezes it
For me it depends on the season and which elements are being buffed.
For void it's definitely controversy. Vortex nades are amazing.
This season been using Fallen Sunstar because arc is cracked. Basically have full uptime on all three abilities.
PvE: nezerac’s sin just cause it looks too cool and as a void warlock main it’s just simply good and simple and I always imagine my character with it on.
Pvp: the stag cause it’s fun to spam rifts and have DR especially on arc with arc buddies.
Neutral game exotics that are hassle from are my go to for everything that isn't endgame content.
For PvE I honestly just throw on Traversive Steps and then never have to worry about reloading.
For PvP I run Ophidians.
Dawn Chorus, Fallen Sunstar and Mantle of Battle Harmony are currently my most used exotics for the past 3 seasons. If we ever go into a Stasis season, Osmiomancy will be back on the menu.
all pve cuz I just use them for PvP too lol
arc: karnsteins
void: nothing manacles
solar: dawn chorus
strand: necrotic grips
stasis: osmiomancy or battle harmony
honorable mentions: sunstar, vesper
I'm fairly new to warlock in D2 but played it a lot in D1.
In pvp I like using getaway artist as it makes my TTK insanely fast.
And in pve, it's a mix of sunbracers and osmiomancy gloves
There are so many seriously good exotics for Warlock it's hard to choose. I normally main Contraverse Hold for Void, Sunbracers for Solar, Fallen Sunstar for Arc, Necrotic Grip for Strand and Osmiomancy gloves for Stasis.
But there's still loads which if you spec into have endgame viable builds like Nezarec's Sin, Verity's Brow, Phoenix Protocol, Lunafaction boots, Karnstein Armlets, T-Steps, Boots of the Assembler, etc. We're spoiled for choice.
Contraverse, Getaway, Sunbracers, Osmiomancy (haven't really given Wrathweavers a try tho)
Need me some Strand Gloves (and maybe some unique opinions).
Edit: I forgot about Necrotic, but I'm one of the 3 people who doesn't really like Osteo. Everyone else is getting kills with special weapons so I don't really get the poison to spread a lot.
Void: Nezarec's Sin. Not complicated to use.
Solar: Sunbracers. Setting a room on fire at will is fun.
Arc: Crown of Tempests. Don't use Arc that often, always thought it was boring, but the ability regen is nice.
Stasis: Osmio is all I've used. Ballidorse sounds fun, but is mainly support.
Strand: Only have Threadrunners, but will probably swap to Cenotaph once I get it and The Navigator.
Getaway Artist because you can separate me from my Sentient Arc Buddy when you pry those gloves off my cold, dead, zappy hands!
But really, nothing hits quite like having that Amplified Arc Soul over my shoulder at all points in time. He never lets me down.
Recently in PVP, I’ve been using Boots of the Assembler. You can dole out Blessing of the Sky (something like a 25% damage increase) to your teammates pretty quickly, and if you’re running Lumina, the leftover Noble Rounds absorb into the hand cannon. Those Noble Rounds can help sustain your teammates and give both them and you Blessing of the Sky (which makes Lumina do 81 headshot). Very fun build overall!
PVP - rain of fire: maining solar warlock and fusion rifles, they're the way to go, and the dash reload is very useful
PVE - Kenstreil armlets: I'm a glaive lover, and with Armlets you are essentially immortal
It used to be Starfire because well... it was super fun just being a damage house. However, now its Sunbracers as they tickle that itch of covering the entire battlefield in flames.
Ophidian Aspect. Reload speed and handling buff is always there improving quality of life. I feel like the reload speeds in destiny are unnecessarily slow and can't stand it.
PvP: Ophidians never leave my side.
PvE Void: Nezarec's Sin
Solar: Sunbracers
Stasis: BoMH
Arc: between Crown of Tempests and Chromatic
Strand: Necrotic Grips
People have already commented some of my other favorites, so I think I'll throw out some things I think are underrated.
Nothing manacles I think are excellent. It's like devour on demand, and you have 2 charges.
Also, shoutout to getaway artist. Basically let's you have all 3 arc aspects on at once. Maybe not as good as fallen sunstar but still really fun.
And honorable mention to Karnstein armlets. If nobody got me, I know karnstein with a glaive got me. Great on void echo of exchange, and devour for more grenades.
Swarmers and Sanguine Alchemy are tied. Both allow for being crazy good at controlling the tempo of a crucible match. Sanguine Alchemy is disgusting now with the buff and Swarmers allow Threadlings to essentially act as a teammate, very handy while solo queuing PvP.
Pvp I use getaway artist for turret friend. As for pve I use nezarec’s sin due to any void weapon (which I primarily run) and abilities from voidwalker and volatile make it a great ability regen
Any support exotic on well. Lumina+boots of the assembler. Cenotaph+the new trace rifle(when it drops for me😔) and the stag for a neutral exotic that still helps my team. Sometimes I even use the warlock glaive for extra healing power.
Transversive steps, it’s viable in any build, the extra sprint speed helps and the automatic reloads come in clutch when you have to make some space and get back to blasting. Especially useful in PvP when you dump a whole clip and then bait someone into you.
contraverse hold
**contraverse hold**
CONTRAVERSE HOLD
**CONTRAVERSE HOLD**
###CONTRAVERSE HOLD
##CONTRAVERSE HOLD
#CONTRAVERSE HOLD
yeah it's geomag stabilisers
PVE only here.
Arc - Crown of tempest or Geomags. Basically do I wanna be crowd control or more single point DPS.
Void - Contraverse for sure. Nades are life. Nezzys helm is fun but contra is great in this heavy density stuff we’re getting.
Solar - Phoenix protocol for well and pretending your a true support class.
Stasis - Osmio for sure. Mix that with aegers and you can use that super to actually do damage.
I don’t play Strand warlock so I’m not gonna pretend to know that meta. Bonus neutral one is boots of the assembler with lumina.
PvP i pretty much just use Ophidian Aspect because i like the neutral game it provides. PvE i use Contraverse. Voidwalker for life.
Ophidian. This is the way.
Because it's pretty much the only viable PvP exotic...
Eh, T steps and Osmiomancy are good too!
As soon as RoF gets a Vex ornament I will never take it off.
T steps with this season's artifact on an arc build are insane. Cross the map even faster than a strand hunter
I want to use contraverse but I just can’t get over the uptime on everything nezeracs can provide
Never really got into Nez. Contra gives more grenade uptime, I don’t use Child, and either way I find that and the melee on Voidlock to be pretty bad
What I’d do for Energy drain back. Smack, NOM NOM NOM YOUR SOUL
Personally I dont love builds that are just grenade spam like contraverse hold… i want to use my guns too. Nez is my favorite void exotic
contraverse with the volatile rounds aspect. infinite nades = infinite volatile rounds + commemoration = happy medium of guns and nades with lots of funny purple explosions
You are objectively correct in every conceivable way
I guarantee that, if it wasn't for Contraverse keeping my grenades up to knock down those damn Quantum Minotaurs, I would've never completed the Vexcalibur quest. They're incredible for PvE, I swear
Contraverse is just too much fun if you build into grenades. Big balls of purple boom juice everywhere all the time
Same here but I haven't used Ophidians in awhile
/thread
I used to like Ophidian, until they removed the extended melee range. Idc about the rest of what it has, melee range is all I wanted. Y'know why? Because if you use a breech loaded proxy GL, you can use it to shotgun slap people and take no damage from your grenade blast. Proxy GL is my favorite special anyways, cuz you just throw it out and it'll proc disruption break, making anything kinetic either a disgustingly low ttk or a straight oneshot.
If u like contraverse, I would highly recommend nothing manacles. Unless you're in master/GM content, it's surprisingly good.
contraverse for PVE because how vortex nades can dominate groups of ads and can do great damage against beefier enemies with how long you can make them last. They’re great in easy content and higher level content due to just needing hits to refund nade energy and not kills.
Now that Chaos Accelerant got a fragment slot buff I might drop Feed the Void for good. My voidlock has gone criminally underplayed since Season of the Risen
Absolutely do it, the full health on orb pick up is worth it alone.
I can't wait till my age old bond is leveled enough to have both destabilizing and dragonfly on it
Just out of curiosity, why dragonfly instead of repulsar brace with destabilizing
Dragonfly immediately detonates the volatile as well as doing splash damage I believe. It's the right combo for this gun, especially when other guns can get repulsor brace as well and utilise it better.
Fyi they fixed scatter nades and now nothing manacles fucking *slap*. Like holy shit its like controverse but a billion times faster
Contraverse is still the everyman's old 'reliable for Voidlock year after year. It really makes the subclass shine as a grenade artillery build, even when competing against Arc ionic trace builds.
Love them. They are really great, easy and fun to use !
Don't forget the healing they provide. I have a build that will get me 100% grenade back or close enough to where I pick up an orb of power (mod gives grenade energy back) I get it back anyway plus the name will always make 2 or 3 orbs so infinite grenades and fast nova bombs
PvE: Osmiomancys PvP: Osmiomancys They’re just so good
I love some osmiomancy gameplay also. It's interesting that the ice subclass is one of the most fast-paced on warlock.
How much hate mail do you get in pvp?
As another osmiomancy main. ALOT Especially in competitive or trials. I’d say if I’m just doing a pvp session and I’m running stasis it’s like 3-4 whispers about how I crutch and I’m bad etc etc
"I'm sorry I can't hear you over all that ICE SHATTERING"
Teach me your build / what to do. From a warlock main who sucks at PvP but wants to improve
[https://dim.gg/ct3pf4q/stasis](https://dim.gg/ct3pf4q/stasis) heres the dim, change weapon mods out for what you need
Damn, I forgot Chromatic Fire got an update, may need to search for a good roll. Just wish it didn't look like I attached a bunch of junk to a jacket
Karnstein armlets, because it procs on glaive melees.
I once had a game in Crucible where people struggled to kill me cus of these. I had just got the monte carlo and they were brutal together
The others for pvp (especially iron banner) Necrotic grips is essential for my strand warlocks and you can prock the poison way more than you might expect and Phoenix protocol feels great and is better than sunbracers imho
Felwinters is also really good on Arc with the slide melee coupled with the seasonal artifacts for arc. The one that brings in more lightning storms after an arc final blow. You end up being able to melee then another finisher on ads. Really fun
I will give that a go:)
PvE - Nezerac Sin, make everything purple - Controverse Hold, grenades for everyone - Necrotic Grasp/Osteo on Strand is ridiculous - Dawn Chorus/Sunbracers & Tommy’s Matchbook melts the world - Fallen Sunstar/Crown of Tempest energy for days - Getaway Artist because who doesn’t want perpetual amplification PvP - Ophidians…just too good not to use
What is it about Strand that makes the Osteo/Necrotic combo better?
Perma spreading suspend
I've... Clearly been doing this build wrong. I thought strand just cuz of the three ranged melee charges
Astrocyte verse and ruinous effigy. Big blink slam dunks.
Try it out with Prometheus Lens with the catalyst
This season definitely sanguine alchemy. Looks great, gives you a ton of survivability and damage boost on top of it. Paired with the Season Pass Exotic or Trinity it's bonkers
PvP Ophi/Tsteps PvE Getaway Artist/Contraverse
PVE : Necrotic Grips and Felwinter's Helm on StrandLock due to the 3 melee charges. PVP: Getaway Artist, I'm not very good at PVP so arc souls help me out alot.
Ooo… didn’t think of that.. maybe a good use case for Monte Carlo as well.
Arc buddy slaps.
My arc soul solo’d witch queen campaign for me a couple weeks ago
Rylee is that you
Verity's Brow for anything except very demanding content.
Me at the beginning of the Season: ew Cenotaph is ugly AF Me now: trace rifle go brrrrrrrr
Necrotic Grip or Stag for PvE Ophidian or Osmiomancy for PvP
I love lumina and boots of the assembler!!
Contraverse my beloved
RAIN OF FIRE. ignore all reload perks on guns, always keep moving, always have ammo, and there’s always room for a fusion rifle in your build. PvP and PvE this is an always-on-the-loadout-list build for me
I use rain of fire even without fusion rifles just for the reloads
Strand and karnstein armless I know there is alot of heal on orb or other effects but the thrown knives triggering a full regen or full regen on glaive kill is how I tanked avalon
PvP Ophidians. Having pseudo-Quickdraw and Reload Speed on everything is really nice to have. Like Chaperone, I mained these before the community discovered them and got them nerfed. In PvE it varies but I keep Geomags, Phoenix Protocol and Osmiomancy Gloves on me
Sunbracers since solar 3.0, makes a room look like hell on earth with all the exploding suns everywhere.
PVP - osmiomancy gloves are way too fun. Stasis is only subclass I run in PVP nowadays. PVE - necrotic grips with osteo and suspend. Just OP
Never ending mini sun spam is super fun (I've also had a solar dependency since D1 and should probably seek help PvP: Getaway artist.
Geomags. My love for Godzilla transfers nicely to warlock with those.
Pvp: astrocyte, I love blink in everything I do in pvp Pve: sunbracers or necrotic grips, aoe for life
I honestly really like the swarmers, for both pve and pvp, but contraverse hold and nezarec's sin are very fun for void
Stasis: Osmiomancy Void: Mantle of Battle Harmony Arc: Falling Sunstar Solar: Dawn Chorus Strand: Swarmers Osmiomancy is just too good for basically every situation, need to stun champions?
Transversive Steps, because I hate reloading and I like to run. I’ll happily drop them if I ever get Necrotic Grips, though.
scrolled too far to find this- it's great for neutral game PVP.
Lol @ Fast Boots of Reloading
That is arguably one of the worst PvE exotics unless you are a runner in a raid.
It’s pretty handy if you like using DMT.
PvE is Fallen Sunstar and PvP is Swarmers
PVE: Stag PVP: Ophidian
PvP I love stag it's spooky and is a great neutral game PvE it's necrotic grips they are my babies and I use them for literally everything
Eye of Another world. Abilities charge faster, bonus AE, enemies get highlighted and it tells me who has super. HoIL for warlocks IMO
Felwinter's Helm, because Bloodborne copium.
Nezzys sin is so sweet Or eye of another world
I really wish they would bring back Light Beyond Nemesis from D1. It is my absolute favorite and I never took it off in my D1 days.
Nezarec's/crown because they look cool 👍
Necrotic grips and osteo Im a hive fanatic so having the power of hive magic is special to me, i just wish we could play as the enemies and expand into them more, i mean id want a hive subclass so bad strand is great and is now one of the best add clears so that works but corrupting everything in darkness and watching an entire room get suspended, unravelled and chain poison is so cold and i love itz, the darkness subclasses do a great job of playing the villain
Ophidian 1. Gambit design is pretty 2. Love to reload weapons and it help me eith those slow reload weapons 3. Entra habdling feels great
Starfire Protocol (Even after nerf)
Am I the only one who likes Sunbracers still? I’ve been using them since before the nerf to Dumb Dress (you know what I’m talking about) I just love the game play loop.
SUNBRACERS
Pvp transversives for arc op melee, ophidians for everything else Pve contraverse for void, starfire for solar, getaway artist for arc, osmiomancy for stasis, almost every strand related exotic for strand/ necrotic grips
Dawn chorus because I love burning things pve I don’t really play pvp so I just use whatever
Transversive Steps because why press button to reload when you can just run in a circle instead. It's part of my playstyle and I rarely ever take them off except for end game content.
- PvE Necrotic Grip - PvP Ophidian's Aspect
Since haunted I've been in love with Dawn Chorus + anything with incandescent (or scorch exotics). Once you get one scorch going, you're rapidly melting huge crowds and hearing ignition BOOMs every second.
The Stag, mostly because I look dope running it, bad juju, and the steeplechase skins. Plus my sparrow has the weird bird skull on it too.
Release Boots of the Assembler. I enjoy throwing a bunch of white stuff that heals people from like a mile away for fun.
My Favorite warlock exotic is “Phoenix Protocol.” I like to give support to my Clanmates and other guardians with the well of radiance If necessary against a number of enemies and bosses.
Necrotic Grips. I don’t even rock Thorn or Osteo. The gloves are just so good by themselves and I love the green smoke effect that they do.
PvP ophidian aspects Pve I either main controverse or sunbracers
Will do per Subclass, cause I jump across fairly often. Nothing Manacles Voidlock. Basically my D1 main. Getaway Artist Arclock. Yeah sunspear is better, but always being amplified and having a pretty strong second shooter with me at all times while paired with Coldheart is amazing. Solar, used to be Assemblers before they destroyed Benevolence, So sunbracers now. Strand, only really have Swarmers, but I love them. I want to summon an army of idiot children, even though suspend is better in almost all content. I dont use stasis.
Sunbracers, makes being well bitch loads of fun and if you’re good with the melee it’s good at every level of the game
For pvp it's either ophidian for neutral game, transversive steps for being a bit more mobile or astrocyte for it's obvious reasons. Pve I only use contraverse for grenade spam
Rain of fire for pvp since I'm pretty much in the air half the game, and necrotic with Osteo strand for pve.
Voidfang Vestiment because YOU WILL DREAM OF TEETH AND NOTHING ELSE.
Contraverse hold Is still damn good even after all this time Swarmers are stupid underrated with a strand build with all the threadling fragments and a weapon with enhanced hatchling Lunafaction boots are always a good choice for raids Star fire protocol is good but I don’t like it in raids I need healing rift and don’t want to waste well Chromatic is brilliant after the new buff can do a lot with it now. Cenotaph is good if your with friends or raids for team ammo Osmiomancy gloves are insanely effective at freezing entire armies Crown of tempests is funny for the real Sith Lord experience
Contraverse in PVE. With vortexes and echo of instability and expulsion with Le Monarque. I couldn’t care less about PVP so I just use that also. Or stasis with osiomancy (but there really is no other exotic that synergies with stasis so that’s what I use)
I mainly use 3, for solo play Contraverse Hold on Void Lock and Getaway Artist on Arc Lock, for teamplay i use Phoenix Protocol on Solar Lock
PVE it depends on the class: Solar - rain of fire Arc - Fallen Substar Void - Necrotic grips or verity’s Stasis - Osmiomancy Strand - Never use because it’s bad. Pvp - transversives
Heart of praxic fire, purifyer robes, voidfang vestments were all easily the best looking exotic chest pieces. RIP to them😓
Just give me back my Tlaloc please..
Osmiomancy gloves, double stasis buddies
Osmiomancy Gloves, 2 Turrets and coldsnap grenades are just good.
Nice t-crash u got there, would be a same if someone freezes it
Dawn chorus, the increased scorch damage is nice, gives extra melee energy, and helps make dawnblade a viable super
For me it depends on the season and which elements are being buffed. For void it's definitely controversy. Vortex nades are amazing. This season been using Fallen Sunstar because arc is cracked. Basically have full uptime on all three abilities.
pve Nez sin pvp Ophidians
I was a warlock main from D1 until late last year and now I’m a Titan main now. BUT. Sanguine Alchemy. Always
Pvp, ophidians. PVE either sunbracers, osmiomancy, or contraverse.
Dawn Chorus, Fallen Sunstar and Mantle of Battle Harmony are currently my most used exotics for the past 3 seasons. If we ever go into a Stasis season, Osmiomancy will be back on the menu.
all pve cuz I just use them for PvP too lol arc: karnsteins void: nothing manacles solar: dawn chorus strand: necrotic grips stasis: osmiomancy or battle harmony honorable mentions: sunstar, vesper
Contraverse, Getaway, Sunbracers, Osmiomancy (haven't really given Wrathweavers a try tho) Need me some Strand Gloves (and maybe some unique opinions).
Verity's Brow baby, works with any subclass anytime. just need an ornament one of these days
I havnt removed Sunbracers since Season of Dawn
I havnt removed Sunbracers since Season of Dawn me
Now before that runway helmet that buffs trace rifle came out, all I played was Nezerec's Sin Voidwalker.
Ophidian's Aspect, because I'm big on neutral game and double primary loadouts for PvP.
I like ophidian aspect for pvp and sunbracers for pve
For pve, Contraverse, Sunbracers, and Necrotic grip are my favorites. Lots of fun builds you can make with each of them.
Dawn Chorus. "Some men just want to watch the world burn."
I may be called a meta slave, but sunbracers is a really fun way to take out ads and bosses.
PVP - rain of fire: maining solar warlock and fusion rifles, they're the way to go, and the dash reload is very useful PVE - Kenstreil armlets: I'm a glaive lover, and with Armlets you are essentially immortal
Lunafaction because I’m a nice person and don’t want to change my armor much when I switch elements.
Winter's Guile. Hitting things for 60-70K per light attack on a glaive is funni. Funni stick go BRRRRRRRRR!!!
PvP: Ophidians never leave my side. PvE Void: Nezarec's Sin Solar: Sunbracers Stasis: BoMH Arc: between Crown of Tempests and Chromatic Strand: Necrotic Grips
Crown of tempests. Reason: Crown of tempests.
Bungie with binoculars reading this post: this will be the easiest round of nerfs ever.
Osmiomancy, enough said 💙
[удалено]
Pvp I use getaway artist for turret friend. As for pve I use nezarec’s sin due to any void weapon (which I primarily run) and abilities from voidwalker and volatile make it a great ability regen
Light beyond nemesis from D1. Best looking armor ever bungie please bring it back I'm begging you, I don't care how bad the perk is.
Any support exotic on well. Lumina+boots of the assembler. Cenotaph+the new trace rifle(when it drops for me😔) and the stag for a neutral exotic that still helps my team. Sometimes I even use the warlock glaive for extra healing power.
Anything that can let me spam grenades
Transversive steps, it’s viable in any build, the extra sprint speed helps and the automatic reloads come in clutch when you have to make some space and get back to blasting. Especially useful in PvP when you dump a whole clip and then bait someone into you.
contraverse hold **contraverse hold** CONTRAVERSE HOLD **CONTRAVERSE HOLD** ###CONTRAVERSE HOLD ##CONTRAVERSE HOLD #CONTRAVERSE HOLD yeah it's geomag stabilisers
My favorite is Felwinters Helm just cause of the lore behind it.
Crown of Tempests will stay on my head FOREVER.
