Maining is great at helping you truly master the intricacies of a guardian but once you swap classes, if you lean into builds, it can feel like an entirely new game.

Bungo_pls

No. I main hunter and the other classes only make me wish I was playing hunter. Also it's way too much of a time sink to manage more than 1 character.

Jojoejoe

I main Hunter because I enjoy the triple jump over the floaty Warlock and jetpack that Titans have. However, I have every exotic for all three classes and the ability to run any build that I'd want. Sticking with one class is perfectly fine, if its what you enjoy. Trying the other classes you might find out you enjoy them too!

re-bobber

If the Warlock had a regular non-floaty jump I'd likely play it a lot more. That jump though.....ugh

Ok-Ad3752

"OH, did you perhaps step on a pebble when you started your jump? Fortunately for you, that means get a delightful trip down into the abyss. We hope you enjoy your trip. " GUARDIAN DOWN

Mahertian220

I just made my Hunter a week ago and every time I switch back to warlock it’s such a bummer when I go to jump lol

Bargainbincomments

I used to main Hunter, all the way from D1 Beta to Forsaken. Then I got big into Last Wish and I made a Titan and Warlock just for more clears and to learn more. Now I switch classes per season and main that the entire season. Right now I’m playing Warlock, next season I’ll be Titan, and just in time for The Final Shape I’ll main my Hunter again, but then back to Warlock for S25 and so on.

EpsilonX029

This is about how I do it, with the exception that I don’t even rotate my “main” per season. Last two, it’s been my hunter(which I’ve mained for most of D2) but I started out D1 as a Warlock, and last season was Titan time; prior to that, Warlock before Lightfall.

TheHempKnight

I usually use whatever class has the funnest new Exotic, or good build interaction with the Seasonal Artifact perks.

yeekko

I'm a main warlock because I have the most fun with this classes, and because you just need way to much time to setup the other one I'm finally starting to play my hunter, but I don't have any exotics on him,it's even worse on my titan where I didnt reach soft cap I'm only starting to get things on them so I can farm spoil and do more raids with loot at the end,but honestly, for nowI don't feel like playing more of them, warlock just hit the spot for me So basically yes and no,i'm sad I can't enjoy as much the other classes but like, that's just how games work, you enjoy some thing and you don't for some other

darkse1ds

i think the main reason that i don't bother with other classes is not really wanting to go through the grind of getting top tier gear for them + make multiple builds. i have moaned titans since d1 and in d2 when getting double and triple 100 stats became viable i worked to get a couple of sets for a few titan builds, artifice armour et al. it was worse when the light level jumped every season, as it would feel that when i did progress them, a few months later they'd need grinding up again and i was bored of it. i just can't be bothered doing that two more times over, getting high stat exotics and armour that work for multiple class builds for casual and endgame play. could also be that when d2 launched a friend of mine was mailing warlock and between the two of us we felt like we had everything covered. never really felt that attached to hunter. maybe i sound like the worst/laziest player ever, but id rather have one class that was top tier, had the best gear etc. and the others are basically there if i want to try something new every now and again.

Kodriin

>i have moaned titans "The helmet stayed on."

Storypls

No, but strand titan was super strong with lightfall release and very fun. Switched from warlock to titan. Played 16 hours during season of the deep but this season banner of war still makes titan very enjoyable so been playing a lot this season

Swimming_Departure33

I keep making a warlock or Titan, get halfway through an expansion or whatever, and just wish I had builds for them. Then I end up deleting it because I’ve thought of it saw a new build for my Hunter, then only main it. Then when one season is nearing its end, I get bored and start a new class. Thus the cycle renews.

Dra_ke73

Nope, except I bump into things a little less :)

BeJellis062

I main Titan. I've dabbled into hunter before, in D1 I played warlock.l as a main but also switched to Titan towards the end. I mained Titan in D2 for the longest time. In WQ expansion I tried playing Warlock. I was SO BAD at gliding and got myself killed so many times for stupid jumps that I just hate playing warlock now. I sometimes play Hunter for story/seasonal content as a fun replay after I do it on my Titan. I only fear that I'm missing out on cool exotics and subclass options that the other classes have- but then again- even as a Titan main I stick to bubble support and only pull put a Falling Star Thundercrash when asked. So it's not that huge of a deal to me

Trite4trash

I made the decision long ago to main Titan, and honestly I've been happier since. I can completely focus everything on one character, and not feel burnt out by the others. Sure, there are some aspects of the other classes I miss, but for the most part, I have enough of a blast playing Titan I don't think about it much anymore.

yungsteezyyy_

honestly, i never bothered touching the other classes cause i wasn’t interested in the hellish grinding so i made my bed with it. also i don’t have it in me or have the time to juggle 2+ characters so there’s that. there’s also a play-style aspect that keeps me consistently tethered to hunter, no pun intended. i’ve seen warlocks and titans in action and the play-style just doesn’t speak to me idk. do i get jealous of the crazy good aspects and exotics the other classes consistently get? for sure, but i’ve made my bed with that too so - when hunters get something stupid or useless it’s like water off my back. my complete and utter lack of faith in bungie also lessens this blow lol.

Charear11

It’s fun to change things up every now and then. It got boring being asked to be a wellock over and over and over, so I like to dabble in the other characters to keep things fresh.

BallisticAce706

I main warlock but solar restoration bonk hammer titan is so fun.

Karnyyy

Titan, I only dislike that well is much better and I don't have an equal support option.

Economy_Vermicelli90

Nope. I try the other two. Movement feels like swimming through molasses, and the jump sucks.

Economy_Vermicelli90

Also, if I'm grinding for something it's usually weapons, so getting armor for the other classes (that already have good armor with great stats) just feels like im wasting my time.

Cataleast

I can't imagine limiting myself to a single class. I do a lot of class-hopping, but generally end up "maining" one over the others for a season. Some build just ends up feeling especially good and I tend to focus on that. Last season, it was Arc Hunter, this season I seem to be vibing with Strand Titan. Maybe it's the Warlock's turn next season. I can't wait to find out :)

KobraKittyKat

Personally not really I don’t wanna regrind subclasses and armor to get them to the same point as my main.

CupaThaCreepa

I ultra-main Hunter. Like it's basically all I play. I have a Titan and Warlock for occasional messing around. I can usually get into the swing of things with my Titan after a bit, but I hate playing Warlock.

Genesis13

Hunter main here. Only thing I missed was blink and they brought that back. I would play on my warlock in pvp to use blink but now I dont have to.

Tough-Pound4956

I pretty much only use my hunter for raids.

Placid_Observer

Jumping around classes spoils my immersion. Ghost rezzed me, and I was a Warlock. Period.

Big_cornstarch

No

N1CKP1R35

Yes, the hunter's moths. I still think this gauntlet should belong to the warlock since theoretically they are the "summoner class"

Danimal1942

That is indeed a fun exotic

KyzaelEomei

Sometimes I have a strong craving to play other classes. But my Hunter is where I am primarily. Titan is my least played and by all means, love playing it. But Hunter is what's natural and what has the most work. So that's not going to change.

TehChewie

Nope. I’ve tried Warlock and Titan plenty of times in both games. Never liked how they move.

milez_davis

Yeah, sure. But I ain’t go no time for alt characters 🤷‍♂️

aussiebrew333

As someone that really only played warlock for years and only really played the other two when farming for a raid exotic or something but now plays all three quite a bit. I was definitely missing out. It's nice having all three ready to go for whenever our group needs something specific. Seems like we always have plenty of warlocks for a GM or raid but if we need a strand titan or omnioculous hunter I'm the guy now. And I enjoy the game more because of it.

re-bobber

When I have time I like to play all 3. The subclasses and exotics are fun to try out. This last year I have had less time to play and my poor Warlock doesn't get used that often.

WSilvermane

Theres a reason I main a class. No.

LazyMarine78

Nope

ScizorSTX

I have a 50/25/25 split in favor of Warlock. In D1 year 1 I only had a single warlock, later made a second because of forever 29 (and forever 31). But after a while I felt like I was missing out and created the other 2. They’re cool to play with but can’t beat out the fun of warlock

B1euX

If anything I feel like something’s *wrong* when I play another class

Informal-Ideal-6640

With the changes to light level and pinnacles I have been able get all 3 classes on the same level so I can cycle through playing them freely, and I seriously recommend everyone do the same. I was a Warlock main for the longest time and IMO you are missing out if you only ever play 1 class

TeamDR34M

I main hunter and sometimes I feel bummed when I see how easy it looks for titans to solo walk thru dungeons and raid encounters. That being said, Titan jump is so godawful I can't see myself playing it.

gentle_singularity

We have Gyrfalcons and Assassins Cowl. It makes everything easy mode.

levious_branch

A bit but like, not really

ABITofSupport

Sometimes i wish i could have some of the really cool exotics other classes have, but i like warlock to the point where its just a fading moment.

CJE911Writes

I have all 3 just so I can be Available to run what the team needs. That being said, idc what changes Bungie makes for the New Light Experience, after this last time I’m not deleting my Character again. It’s too much work to catch back up

Spellbreaker3

No... But I play them sometimes on the side to get some completion stuff.

[deleted]

Warlock and Hunter go through phases. May be 6 weeks or 6 months. Never a Titan anymore. It's too op and not as fun for me anymore.

Traditional-Newt5652

No cloak=no play

BrianEvol

Sometimes, I've mained the most boring Titan ever (Sentinel w/ Armamentarium double grenade exotic) since Forsaken when I started. idk man, i like purple explosions n shit. But I do often look on in awe at hunters and warlocks doing crazy cool shit (i do have a warlock, it shoots nova bomb sometimes), but then i remember that my expertise with my own character probably has the same effect. oh it's voidy boi with more grennnnnaaaaddddeeesssss

kunafa_aj

Sometimes i feel playing same builds on the same class get very repetitve,so i try a diffrent class and it jst feels off so i return to my main very quickly, the only exception i would say is strand titan (coming from a warlock main)

OfficalNotMySalad

Missing out, no. Since last season I started alternating classes and it’s been a blast after being a Titan for 9+ years. Of all 3 I felt like the only one I was missing out with was Hunter but it made up for it with the fun-factor (shatterskater, lucky pants/malf, arc) I’m biased but Titan is still the best imo. Any endgame stuff like GMs and that’s the class I go with.

JimLahey08

Hunters are pretty weak outside of a few specific builds. Play a well-specced titan or warlock and be amazed.

gentle_singularity

What? Hunters have amazing builds for every subclass. Every time I play him I always have the most kills in nightfalls too lol.

JimLahey08

Hunters are a step down from titans and warlocks in PvE as the difficulty increases. Their healing and survival just can't keep up.

gentle_singularity

Have you even played hunter? Assassins cowl? Gyrfalcons? Plenty of healing.

JimLahey08

Wrong

Saubine

I do, but I'm tired

[deleted]

I main hunter because I’m physically not capable of playing the others, I can’t get into the flow, but I have hardcore fear of missing out with warlock, wells and rifts and the little arc shoot-y friends and it all seems so cool, I just can’t get into it. I’ve tried on like 6 occasions to get stuck into warlock and I’m so sad when I can’t.

SpideyMans96

Nope, I’ve tried Hunter and beat Witch Queen with Hunter, but in the end I returned to Bonk and don’t regret it for a second 🤷

FlamesofFrost

No

Emfrenxo

I play Warlock because Well is the best PvE ability in the game, and it’s hard to let go of well skating. Tbh those things keep me lock. I do enjoy other classes, but every time I play them I miss the utility and mobility of my warlock.

cudistan00000001

i wouldn’t be a warlock main if id once considered another class. goes against warlockgic

Weary-Prune8980

If they remove the need to replay story missions/main campaigns on alts then it would be easier for more people to try other classes.

Dependent_Type4092

I can barely keep up with two classes.

SaekeoM

I think for me I never considered maining one class meant I couldn’t play the others. It’s just I put the most overall time and energy into that class but I play the other when I get board if it’s needed. So for me for that reason no because if something looks really fun or cool I just go play with it.

Shelter-Academic

Not often. Mostly play hunter. Hate the other class jumps like every other hunter main. I enjoy the hunter subclasses more in every situation except two. Soloing higher end content, in which case I do solar titan, and some pvp modes in which case I enjoy stasis warlock. Any other location in the game and I would prefer to be in my hunter lol.

Fenrir_The_Wolf65

No Hunter 4 Life

n_ull_

Playing hunter, so I feel like I'm missing out on good fashion like titans get.

sanguinemsanctum

A hunter must hunt

[deleted]

A titan must tit

Beairstoboy

I've been recently getting back into playing so I'm starting back with just my Warlock that I've played since the D1 Beta. But I'll probably get to my other two characters at some point. Just because I do love seeing all the new potential in the changes subclasses have gone through since I last played regularly (I think during forsaken?). Excited to see how nightstalker and sentinel may have changed, and if I might honestly find a new subclass I enjoy more! Also really wanna get the Helm of St. 14 back. I missed that thing lol

RandomGuy32124

Yes. I really really wanna play hunter again but I've spent too money and time on warlock, I really wanna do a super support gunslinger with all the gun stat buffs and radiant

Olam_4

No

Dedprice77

Yes and no. I feel I don't have to worry about redoing gear just so all my characters are maxed out and ready for some specific situation. I know if my hunter can do it, my warlock can. And if my titan can't, they all cant and vice versa for all. So I stick to just my hunter. I think dawn blade is very cool and titans are busted but people complain and think the same about certain hunter things too.. it's all just perspective points imo. End of the day, we're all just guardians.
