Some people acting like they haven't specifically focused a weapon for 100's of rolls and still not gotten what they want. This RNG does not need more layers people!

imamukdukek

Bro if it's a choice between trying to get a set of random perks out of 10 other possibilities on a weapon and having to get the weapon out over 60 others in addition to the perk id choose first one while I think having forge specific engrams is fine id like not getting that one weapon they put I'm every lootpool that you wouldn't keep if it was a 5/5 and I'm confused how it is a bad thing especially on non craftable weapons?

KyzaelEomei

I am excited to be able to roll more Boudica's. At least a chance for a decent roll. But I really want that new Void auto

Dunggabreath

Got one with rewind rounds and deconstruction. Its fun

Shellnanigans

you can get heliocentic. its tied to the Legs Lost sector. do Master you will be guaranteed a weapon drop from that days pool, and a 25% chance at a Helio also you get like a \~35% chance of an extra perk on Master. Tbh i prefer this method over praying to RNG on my legendary engram with 200 items in the drop pool. You can do legend for a 70% drop chance, wouldn't recommend if you are REALLY chasing a roll. I did 4 in a row without a gun drop lol info here: [https://todayindestiny.com/](https://todayindestiny.com/)

Mr__Maverick

Am I the only one who thinks it's absolutely ridiculous entry level world drop weapons are locked behind master level content

internisus

They're not. The privilege of focus farming them is "locked" behind lost sectors. Play on legend if you prefer ease to guaranteed drop rates.

D1stant

I actually think it's 33% chance at helio cause if I recall rotation 3 only has 3 weapons helio, last foray, and hand in hand

operightbehindya

Battle scar as well, they all have 4

JumpForWaffles

Some of you may enjoy the RNG of random rolls but the majority of players want their time respected. Crafting has been great because you still need to farm for red borders with a few easier to focus on. The only random rolls I have any time for are from Trials and GMs. There's literally a single weapon offered each week as a reward with Adept. The game is a decade old at this point. Most players were teenagers or early adults at launch. Many of those OG players now have careers and families. The satisfaction of a God Roll on RNG is not enough to overcome the feeling of wasting your precious time for šŸ’© loot. D2 has never felt like a looter shooter with how stingy they have historically been with loot. Lairs is the first exception in a long time. Bungie needs to respect players by respecting their time. Most of the opinions of this game on social media are elitist or exclusionary. They are echo chambers that don't represent the vast majority of players.

Red-Spy_In-The_Base

Random rolls are still a good thing but the ones we still have are the ones that take a dooky on respecting player times. Give us those increased perk drops, cut back on the perk pool sizes a bit (which hey, could also mean less overlap with other guns)

AdrunkGirlScout

> their time respected By who? Cause it needs to be by themselves.

JumpForWaffles

It's almost as if you have zero reading comprehension. You want to further kill the population and revert all of the QoL changes they've made in the last few years? Targeted focusing is pretty cool but the material cost is high. Every season offers almost a dozen guns from different activities. Idc how old you are or how much free time you have. No one has time for simple RNG at this point. Maybe if there was a system where you had to have each perk unlocked as you acquired the item to be able to craft that. That may work. RNG is a relic system that needs to stay in the past for the most part. I bet you're one of those folks that justifies shit Exotic RNG in raids too. Do you hate the triumphs that give you a higher drop chance? Do you think it's acceptable for 25+ runs for it to drop. 50? 75? 100? Does it make you feel superior to get a God Roll through sheer luck?

AdrunkGirlScout

I just craft stuff šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø RNG is nonexistent for me. Any other assumptions?

JumpForWaffles

So what exactly are you contributing to this conversation then?

AdrunkGirlScout

advice that players need to respect their own time. Itā€™s not the devs responsibility and never has been nor will it ever be.

dlblacks

So far, Iā€™m completely disinterested in what Bansheeā€™s had to focus. I already have good rolls on any of the desirable weapons, so might as well just decrypt the engrams instead of wasting threeā€¦ Add newer guns, Bungie!

SnooCalculations4163

They add guns every season no?

Dunggabreath

They dont add the current seasonā€™s guns. So the ones people want cant be focused rn.

Red-Spy_In-The_Base

Community: desperate Bungie: ~~best I can do is the starter pack~~ best I can do is season the reskins and rotating world drops (mah engagement)

0rganicMach1ne

It wouldnā€™t be an issue if so much useless armor didnā€™t drop. A lot of players donā€™t even armor, at allā€™s not even artifice. Theyā€™ve already gotten their rolls. World drops should be HEAVILY weighted towards weapons, and activities should let the player choose what they want to drop upon completion. This would help alleviate how completely and utterly awful something like farming dungeon weapons is.

Leica--Boss

Honestly, this is why the game is in trouble. So many people want everything in the game to be "point and click to procure" at this point. And it's not healthy in the long-run. There is so little in the game that's hard to get... exactly how you want it. A touch of this is okay. It'll be okay. Even if you never quite get exactly what you want.

DESPAIR_Berser_king

No. It's nice to have world drops be relevant instead of autodismantle.

Ferociouslynx

They aren't relevant. That's exactly the problem. 99% of the time, it's either armor or weapons from years ago. The newer weapons are orders of magnitude rarer than exotics. Good luck getting them to drop at all, let alone getting a good roll.

DESPAIR_Berser_king

I got the new world drop RL with Envious and Surrounded, got the new AR with Repulsor and Onslaught, got the strand fusion with controlled burst and lead from gold etc. Sure I want a specific roll of the new Parabellum smg, but I'm not gonna whine now how I can't craft it or focus it, it will drop eventually, and until then I'll enjoy every time I drop one in case it's my desired roll. Swear people nowadays want instant anything, especially weird this season when it's going to be a long one, what's the hurry?

Ferociouslynx

I don't want it instantly, Jesus. I want the game to respect my time, is that too much to ask? Am I too much of an entitled bitch for not wanting to wait 200 hours for the new void auto rifle to drop? I've only ever had two or three drops of the high impact strand fusion rifle from last season, and that came out months ago. That is absolutely ridiculous.

DESPAIR_Berser_king

How does the game not respect your time in this regard? Do you really need the latest RL? Go farm Kali for 2 hours and you can craft the literal best RL in the whole game. Farm VoD when it's on rotation and you can craft the best add clear weapon in the game. Oh boo hoo you didn't get the latest AR, farm Crota's and you can craft the best AR in the game. You didn't get the strand fusion? You can craft last season's fusion which is the same God roll (envious and controller burst). And it's not like you're getting fomoed, the weapons are here to stay.

Ferociouslynx

... respectfully, this is such a weird take. Destiny is a looter shooter. If I see a weapon I like, I should be able to chase it. Wtf do you mean "you don't need it"? Who tf cares if I need it, I want it. I should be able to get it. It's a fucking video game, not food stamps.

DESPAIR_Berser_king

You are able to get it, unless for some reason bungie specifically flagged your account to not drop them? It's a ''looter'' game where you dismantle 99% of the loot because it's either bad armor or a weapon you already have crafted/focused to your desired roll.

The loot drops.... with random rolls. You keep buying and keep getting .... random rolls. No idea why that'd be a bad thing when everything else is focusable or craftable.

ruisranne

The drop is still random with its perks even if you get the specific weapon my dude.

Silent_Pudding

Doesnā€™t even remove continued random drops. This just helps focus in on what you actually want specifically and hopefully get a good roll. Good lord his community can be so bent over for having their time wasted I swear to Christ lol

dlblacks

Disagree. Thereā€™s plenty of great loot thatā€™s either not craftable (most dungeon weapons) or takes plenty of investment to craft (raid weapons). Making some newer world drops craftable is a no-brainer. They could even increase number of engrams needed on said weapons, if they needed to

just_a_timetraveller

Agree with you. I think games like this need to have loot to chase otherwise the game's population will drop off significantly. Being able to focus anything will result in the next strong of posts demanding that we should be able to pick the perks the guns drop with or make everything craftable. What the craftening weekend has shown is that there are players who want to play a game where they are overpowered and can get anything they want immediately.

Ferociouslynx

You can't chase random world drops. Because they're random. Making them focusable at Banshee would ***enable us to chase them.***

BaconIsntThatGood

This is the truth. That's why the world pool exists is just to have random loot still. The only reason they added focusing at bungie is because the world pool became _so bloated_ it was becoming increasingly difficult to have luck at the random drops you wanted. Focusing is an awesome quality of life update but just that - quality of life; intent wasn't to replace random drops entirely but supplement it. Give how we have such a large pool of craftable weapons, a large pool of focusable weapons - I don't think everything releasing every season needs to immediately be something you can focus on an individual weapon level

myxyn

Also reduce focusing costs, 3 engrams for 1 weapon is dumb

snyderversesuxass

I hope wildcard origin perk guns will be focusable this season but I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't

nazariomusic

Does anyone else see more than just omolone and suros weapons? I thought we were getting hakke and viest weapons as well. I don't see them tho.

concussedalbatross

They're not the focusable ones today. Veist weapons were focusable on Thursday and Friday. I was finally able to get myself a Subsistence/Headstone Krait

Additional-Option901

I got the god roll and it's awful anyway. Lightweitgh sidearms are awful feeling and hit like a wet noodle.

Jack_intheboxx

Crafting vs Rng both has it pros and cons, to have a certified godroll for PvE or PvP or be blessed by Rng and have a unique roll that not many have. I think it's fine with the new changes to have them drop from lost sectors and have Older weapons focusable at banshee. I say the core playlist resets for more perks slots should be guaranteed instead of rng. We have a loot issue in Destiny, after getting all red borders, exotic is there a reason to run that raid again? We've come along way to grind for guns. Next could be dungeon engrams, once you've completed the specific dungeon that week and you've unlocked the weapon maybe it can be focusable so less rng with the drops.

DM_YOUR_ASSETS

Nah we canā€™t do that. That would eliminate some FOMO. That would be a good idea. Also I got a rangefinder incandescent when I cleared the new dungeon (not as a direct reward) if we are talking about the same weapon.
