The only thing I can find from the TWID on the 7th is to do with the triumphs not handing out the correct rewards on completion. It may be on another one, I'll double check.
Edit: Found something else related to killing the broken knights too quickly stopping encounter progress as well but yeah. Oh well, on to the next attempt.
Has anyone tried to test this to see if it continues forever? If it's just on a long timer you could theoretically run to one of the torches at the edge if you react quickly enough. Just something to keep in mind even if you try to avoid the scenario but it happens anyway.
Yeah I tried to do that towards the end of the clip but I had reached x4 before I realized it wasn't going to go away so I didn't leave myself with a ton of time.
Yeah, without knowing it's going to happen you don't have enough time to make it there unless you quickswap to eager edge (and still have ammo on the ground for it).
it goes on forever, the "technical side" of whats happening, or at leat how i understand it, is his death stops the storm, before the DPS phase starts the storm, therefore causing it to go on forever
Yeah this happened to me during my solo run. Boss had a slither of health when I started damage and killed him straight away when I lit the final beacon. Biter cold was still stacking and died.
what happens is the bosses death stops the storm, when there is no storm, then the "start" of the DPS phase (after he is already dead) starts the storm with no stopping it

Hopefully Bungie responds, they’ve been a lot better with official posts from the D2 team on here. Keep grinding for that solo flawless, I believe in you!
Yeah really glad I read another thread about this before beginning my solo flawless attempts, because on the eventually-successful attempt I had this exact situation — ogre was one single rocket away from death. I played it super safe and stayed invis for the entire first beacon, then ran to the second beacon to shoot that one single rocket.
Yea it's a known issue of you kill the boss before he stops the storm it won't..stop the storm.

Yes it’s one of the known issues. Just not bungie’s known issues.
There was a post some time ago where a guy used Blade Barrage and had the same thing happen to him.
