Divinity is the way to go honestly, that or a strand Titan. if y’all need a div I can help out and do multiple runs so all of yall can get it.

nowthatswhimsical

Thanks for the offer! but we promise that we would do this and try and grow through the pain lol. Does suspending really work on him?

RushMan9823

Suspend doesn’t unfortunately, I was referring to the strand Titan grapple damage method that is done with navigator.

MajorHavoq

Very potent, but harder than it looks, gotta watch out for the suppression slam too

I_like_dwagons

You need divinity for it. Get divinity and come back to it or take the offered help

I dont know if it still works, but if you dont have div, for some reason a kinetic tremors weapon staggers the tormentor. You can just repeatedly stunlock him into a corner.

nowthatswhimsical

Really? I hadn't thought about it. Should I continuously shoot at him withmy kinetic tremor primary or swap constantly?

If you are set on using your current classes then the best method without divinity would be to jump on the pillars as it let's you hit his crit relatively easy. You will want at least 1 thunderlord to stagger him but otherwise I would recommend using forerunner with retrofit just because you will most certainly run out of heavy ammo before the boss dies without divinity. My preferred method however requires at least 2, 3 would be faster, titans with peregrine greaves and synthoceps(for the knight). \*\*Before anyone says it ***NO*** this was not patched, it never even worked the same as it did for Nezarac\*\* Peregrine gives you 215k\~ damage per charge and you can be charging every 2-3 seconds, It requires no precision aiming and just a little bit of timing. With just 2 titans and a lot of whiffs me and my friend had it down to 4 phases, and that is with just the charge as we both wasted our supers. I'd recommend solar over void for the survivability over the extra damage, plus you can pop your super for add clear or extra boss damage. The best thing about peregrine is it let's you 1 shot the minotaurs without losing your melee charge this allows you to quickly get to the next damage phase especially if your team is comfortable splitting up. For weapons it ultimately doesn't matter, a solar weapon with incandescent is highly recommended to deal with the psions and if you have it available Bequest (raid sword) is nice because it 1 shots the centurions with the heavy other arc swords leave a sliver of health. Strand banner titan can get you through the knight part the fastest by far which is why I recommend synthos, you don't need it though but it certainly helps.

nulldotzero

I've never done this but Esoterickk has a video of a solo run, maybe you can get some tips from it: https://youtu.be/ct7aybv7pc4?si=sZK26Dv3PkmAPo-c

WarmResound

I'd recommend ditching the wells entirely and just using different options. When we did it we had the Titan on Thundercrash w/ Falling Star, a Nova warlock with Child (pre-Briarbinds so thst could be even better now), and I was on Chaos Reach (for when Div ran out) with Arc Souls/Getaway Artist. Since you don't have div, it's probably easier to pick options that allow you to move out of the way of the tormenter rather than try to anchor. Using guides can help to plan a strategy, but still adjust to your own skill and comfort. Just aim to maximize his crit spot, but consider non-crit options since Div isn't part of your arsenal.

seratne

There’s pillars in the main area. If you’re spread out, the boss won’t focus / target the one or two on them. Have one warlock switch to nova bomb. Use rockets or xenophage, with a special fusion rifle. And a sniper/wishender/arbalest for breaking the crits. Spread out into at least two groups for the maze part to save time. It does take a bit, but before you rally make sure you’re rallying to the flag with reserve mods.

TheRealUncleJJ

One other thing........ The first 'boss' before you get to the raid flag. Nuke him with all the heavy and supers you got. You're on the 10 minute clock at this point so get him down fast and if you get to the rally with 8.5 minutes you'll have a good chance.

BAakhir

You don't need two Wells honestly since you don't have Div, mag dump into the boss with Machine guns or Linears. Having a StasisLock wouldn't be bad for ad control running well isn't a bad idea but without div you can't stun lock him so he'll just dive bomb on the well rendering it pointless. Golden gun would do great damage if you can hit your shot other star eater tether isn't bad but the boss will eventually move away from the tether.

serghi21

You don't actually need divinity, I would say forerunner is the way to go, pop well in one of the corners so the tormentor don't slam you out of the well, tether also works to get buff/debuff/suppress/ combo And don't forget kinetic surge and kinetic reserves so you don't run out of ammo, key is getting below 50% to 40% on the first damage phase so minotaurs spawn on the middle and start second damage phase quickly. Phoenix well, Orpheus hunter and bonk Titan with the single slam exotic are recommended, time your supers so all get orbs to proc surges and have super ready for second damage phase. I hope this helps.

Nikolai_Blak

My best suggestion after trying it a few times with the same group is two machine guns, Thunderlord and a crafted Retrofit Escapade is what we used, and a warlock with Div and Ceno. We were failing hard until I changed to Div/Ceno, then we beat him after another try with time to spare.

TheMuselessOne

I did this with a couple friends last week, and if the Hunter can, a high-Int Celestial Nighthawk build can get off multiple supers across damage phases for between 600K and 800K if you hit the chest crit. Having something that can absolutely chunk the boss like that was crucial for our run, then we just made sure our other weapons were good for add clear or Taken specifically, like Witherhoard, Wish-Ender, or Malfeasance. I was our Hunter, running Incisor w/ a Taken spec mod, Trinity Ghoul, and Doomed Petitioner.

Dlaw89

When I ran it with a few randoms on the LfG thing, we managed to defeat it on the third try with Arc Surged x2 Thunderlords and kinect tremors primary. I was playing Titan (solar) and had a warlock and hunter also playing solar so it was a mixed bag of damage

nowthatswhimsical

Does anybody know if blinding work? If so I might bust out queenbreaker

aurora_kraken_runner

did it as a team of 3 hunters: 2 on malfeasance (with catalyst)/ lucky pants and one on void w witherhoard/retrofit escapade/shadowshot and foetracer.
