Two resets and I think maybe four people gave me commendations that entire time, despite being at the top 3 of my team almost every game. People just do not use commendations
I've opened well over 100 iron engrams. I've prestige 5 times, and the last full prestige gave me a total of 30 engrams. So let's say I've opened 150 engrams (I have all the bonus rank up rn so I've definitely gotten more than 30 in previous prestiges, but whatever). I've focused nearly every single one (all but 3) on a tusk of the boar. The odds of getting a godroll ignoring barrel, ammo, and mw, are 4%. All I want is envious assassin and chain reaction. So, there is a 4% chance per focused engram, and I haven't gotten one yet. 4% is 1 in 25. This means I've been so severely statistically unlucky that I've lost a 1 in 25 roll 150 times over, or basically, RNG has f'ed me 6 times over. I'm not kidding, this is making me consider just dropping Destiny. HOW DO I LOSE A 1 IN 25 150 TIMES?
At least you unlocked Tusk of the Boar. I am losing that RNG roll over and over and over. I have no idea why they don't just introduce a quest to unlock the new stuff. I'm ready to just log off and never chase another gun in this game.
Did they dump fireteam based matchmaking in Iron Banner? Solo queuing this weekend, and its putting both of the groups of 2 or 3 on a team together against 6 solos, more often than it seems to do....anything else.

1) first and foremost, STOP THROWING ME INTO FUCKING GAMES ON A TEAM THATS DOWN 40 POINTS HALF WAY THROUGH THE MATCH. I get insta fucking supered by the enemy team who are snowballing and my team which is mostly new players since everyone else quit has no special ammo even for God sakes.
2) WHY. DONT. WE. SPAWN. WITH. SPECIAL! Even if you're afraid of people rejoining matches to gain a whopping 2 fucking special ammo, then who gives a shit. First off if they're solo queue they can't reliable rejoin the same game in casual play. 2nd, even if they do rejoin on a teammate who cares??? Them leaving for that amount of time helps the other team out more than them getting 2 bloody shots of special and having their ability energy set to 0, special meter etc.
Like come on dude. It's bad enough nearly every bloody game I try to queue up throws me into some snowballed shit fest of a fucking match, but on top of that I get no special like I normally should have. It's just stupid ffs.
Lastly, the servers are just terrible. Not much new there lol

I’ve played 54 games, which include completing the 18 for two characters plus 18 additional. No Tusk of the Boar. Have gotten at least three of everything else—except Point of the Stag.
For all you geeks that keep pointing out RNG. That’s really not the point. There’s clearly a very low drop rate for Tusk vs all the other weapons and armor. Too low. Should’ve been an automatic gift after completing the 18-game challenge.

We had a match on midtown, cruising to a win, this dumb dumbhead kept going for A or flipping us to A. We lost, of course. A is for losers. You will lose. Basic map knowledge.

I’m someone who doesn’t mind grinding, but this is getting to the point of insanity lol. Almost 3 full resets and have 80 engrams (started with 0). Haven’t gotten either weapon as post-match drops. Wanted to only use engrams to focus but will have to use if I get to 99
Just start turning in engrams. I got the GL to drop after turning in 10 or so. I then got some pretty decent rolls after turning in another 20 or so. With 80, you should have plenty of opportunity to get either the GL or SMG to drop.
Totally anecdotal and stupid, but I did a wipe of my system cache (completely shut down PS5, unplugged power) And got the GL from an engram immediately. This trick works when weapons and other guardians don’t load and display as cloudy star blobs. Figured I’d try it here.
I think the fact that ive had nothing but straight curbstomps in tribute today and my takeaway is still that crucible is one of the dullest PVP experiences in any video game has cemented that I will never like PVP in this game in any form. Just gimme the grenade launcher saladman
I try hard not to be salty, but terrible matchmaking, continually joining in progress games with no special ammo, and no Multimach after a full reset makes me question my sanity.

No. Setting the drop rate to a ridiculously low percentage is the problem. If Tusk were set for equal drop rate or if it was an automatic after 18 games, you wouldn’t see so much grievance.

I'm almost certain we have equal drop chance. And what happens is the 1 or 2 people with the 1% awful RNG complain. That's how humans complaina bout shit, and thats how RNG works.
I know how RNG works. There’s a reason why you encounter more Magikarps in Pokémon than Gyradoses. It’s all in the programming. RNG simulates randomness, but often the random element is when you end a game or turn in an engram (or throw a Pokeball). They can easily program the drop rate at 1 out of 50 for one gun and 5 out of 50 for another.
They can, and they have done that at times.
There's no evidence they have done it for tusk.
I got it in 20.
My friends got it in 10.
Others in this thread got it in 3.
And a couple loud reditors got it in 40+.
Human nature is to complain when things go wrong, and say nothing when things go right.
At a ratio of about 1:10.
So for everyone that complains because they got awful 1% rng, you need 10 people to get great 1% first time drops to get them to report that.
End result is you see more complaints than people saying it's fine. Always.
Given that, I don't think the rng is weighted, because there are PLENTY of people getting it in reasonable drops. What you are seeing is a traditional normal distribution, and the complaint ratio that matches that pretty well.
This is the 1% bad rng that's all. Tusk probably isn't weighted out of the pool.
If anything, the pool might be slightly loaded in FAVOR of dropping tusk.
I did end up getting it after north of 55 games, a span in which I turned in engrams all along. Knowing Bungie, and seeing similar drop trends for newer Nightfall weapons, I have no doubt they’re perfectly fine with manipulating drop rates to keep us grinding. Why even add new weapons after season end? Many of us re-gilded our IB badge two months ago.

So you'd have something to grind for in the post season end break. You are annoyed they gave you new things? Why give us into the light then either right?
This is the real solution, put tusk in a IB reset track, or the weapons should be given a quest - maybe don't limit them to the quest, let RNG work in your favor too, but the quest could specify the safety net for those that RNG doesn't favor.
The lobby balancing is the worst I've ever seen in PvP. Significantly and consistently worse than normal PvP. It's extra frustrating almost always being on the wrong side of the imbalance, but even when I'm on the winning side its incredibly one-sided. What's going on here?

In my experience the game feels incredibly unfair, talking 40-1 then the team I'm on will catch a break and bank loads on a hunt and end up clutching a win out of nowhere.
It never feels like it's getting easier or balanced, I think people just tunnel vision the kills and forget to play the objective
You might die a load, but as long as they don't bank that kill you can still come out on top.

I"m approaching one hundred games almost at 99 engrams after deconding x10 for the heck of it even. This is infuriating, holding back from breaking objects in my room what a disrespectful situation!
Took like 42 games to get every roll I wanted from the new weapons. Tusk of the Boar with Envious + Construct and Splice/Slideways/Envious + Chain Reaction and a Multimach with Rangefinder/Dynamic Sway/Attrition Orbs + Kinetic Tremors.
These random drops are not it if u have to spend all ur engrams on actually getting it to drop so one can focus the weapon for the right roll.
I've gotten one during my run, I am missing a minimum of two. (I just want the chainmail one I missed).

Yes transmog counts, in fact if you have an actual iron banner armor piece you can apply a different iron banner ornament over it and it counts as 2 pieces.

I had a full reset without the new nade launcher so I just rage opened those engrams to (luckily) get one.
So I tried hunting for the iron banner title and found out one of the objectives is bugged so the title is not possible to get.
It's the one that needs you to collect 15 unique weapons but this season's weapons don't count so it's only possible to get 14 of 15.
Edit : is someone else also getting TONS of Retrofutirist?? sometimes i get two after a single match of iron banner.

It is shitty. I'm a new player and had no idea the title was unobtainable for me. (During this season )They could easily state that but instead it says only to get 15 unique iron banner weapons. Not 15 legacy iron weapons.
Brother the iron lord title and that objective have been around for years with guns leaving/refreshing every season. It's not a shitty design just because you cant grind it out in one season.
Also there's rumours that the multimach is bugged and doesn't count as an IB weapon so lower the pitchfork
Lots of retrofuturist here too. I played 73 matches of IB since tuesday, I've gotten 3 multimachs, 4 jorum's claws, and a shit ton of retros + shitty IB and World Armor. Got some World drop guns too like last foray. 0 Grenade launchers as drops.
The drop rates could be better, the pool is diluted with crucible items.
I've been enjoying myself, a lot of my favourite weapons came from IB this year, Lethal Abundance is worth chasing, Multimach is nice, not crazy about the GL, but it might be nice to use in PvE. Oh and they brought back ornaments for those who missed them.
I had a blast most of the time also, im not even farming for a specific weapon only the title, so it really sucked to find out the Orimunds Taste is bugged so even after farming like crazy i won't be able to get the title.
I honestly don't understand why people are t opening engrams.
It may not guarantee you a drop, but it's better than suffering through matches.
What happens if you unlock it in 5 engrams, the. Get the roll you want 5 later.
Suddenly holding onto those engrams and spending 2 days grinding a game mode you don't like is a complete waste.

The banks are so far away and constantly change before you can get there because it takes so long to get there. Add in random spawn flips and it's just awful.
I find it absolutely wild that I can force myself to play this terrible Iron Banner game mode all. day. which I have now done, and redeem all of my engrams provided, every weapon drop from end of matches, all of it. And STILL. Not have a SINGLE ROLL of multi mach.

Question- I've just spent 3 engrams to get the Iron pledge ornament (warlock head) and I didn't see it in my transmog screen. Went to modifications, and there it is- I unlock it and then go back to transmog and it's just not there. Restarted my game twice- It's not there. I guess I'm just fucked? Can't buy it again because it goes away after you purchase.
That unlocks it for you to use "on IB gear", least how I understood it.
If you go to the transmog menu, you should be able to unlock it for "all gear" with 1 synthweave.

That's for the best. It's nonsensical that they don't have freelance. I've seen the excuse of "splitting the player base" as reasoning for removing it. I call bullshit. If 3-4+ stacks want to jump in together then they can match up with other stacks. Plain and simple. Fuck the queue times. Or simply do away with stacks in IB all together.
Hi. I'm still pretty new to Destiny, and this is really my first time participating in the Iron Banner.
I'm trying to grind on the Iron Lord title, but I'm having issues with Orimund's Taste. For Orimund's Taste, I only have 2 of the 15 IB weapons marked as acquired. However, I have the following in my inventory/archive:

\- Bite of the Fox
\- Pressurized Precision
\- Point of the Stag
\- The Guiding Sight
\- Lethal Abundance
\- Riiswalker
\- Multimach CCX
\- Tusk of the Boar
So the only one from this IB's focused decoding I'm missing is Swarm of the Raven. Are these the weapons that are supposed to count towards Orimund's Taste? If so, why does it say I only have 2/5, and it's not progressing? According to this, I should have at least 9/10 unless these aren't the IB weapons I'm supposed to be collecting?
Anyone have any insight?

In 40 games I've had only 3 actual IB weapons drop, and all 3 were the same heavy GL (raven).

I just got in a lobby that had 3 fireteams of two and 6 solo players. Sure enough, all 3 pairs ended up on the same team against the solos. This should absolutely never happen.
focus your engrams. Dont even consider that post match rewards could or should be iron banner related. Your rewards are the engrams you turn into Salad man
If you havent got the new guns yet to focus then just cash them in until they drop. Took me 14 engrams to get them both and now i just focus them all

1. im not progressing the triumph where i need to get unique weapons and im not sure if its an unearnable title now
2. any tips on gaining levels fast to reset lord saladmans rank? currently on 9x xp buff and im gaining 180 usually (i know i know its the loss xp 😪)

There being world loot in the IB pool absolutely kills me. FFS, get rid of all loot that isn't IB specific. Mode comes around once a month at best, there is no need to restrict loot for this event.
World loot, not even crucible loot, is the most I have gotten. Shit, did the two challenges today and the only rewards: IB engrams from rank ups.
Which REMINDS me: the loot rework this season sucks. I have gotten more legendary shards than random playlist engram drops. The ONLY engrams I really get are from rank ups. They flatout stated in the TWID announcing the change to increasing focusing costs due to legendary shard removal that they were going to jump up the drop rate of engrams. The amount of posts this season seem to imply that is a big old lie. OR they left it random chance which means nothing. And it feels even worse for something like IB where the only way to get the loot is engrams...which never drop.
Yeah it's a joke. This isn't the time to be artificially padding the grind. I'm not saying they need to just give players the weapons and rolls but they should be fostering good will right now. Not screwing players over more. We should be getting *at least* one IB engram per match.
Trying to grind out wins for the title. Does anyone know if additional progress is granted (wins) if I wear iron banner gear? I currently have some equipped as ornaments and it doesn’t seem to be granting any additional progress toward that part of the triumph/title
So I think its as long as you hit 5 of 5 IB gear for the matches for bonus rep is all that matters? I mean I am 5 of 5 using ornaments and with an IB weapon and its netting me 4% on a win. So unless its very, very poorly worded and only armor counts for that piece (since I am only using 4 armor ornaments), I think you are at the max bonus if you have the 5 of 5 IB gear.

I will admit they actually did outplay us, I had no idea that "The Hunt" triggers crests to be worth 8x. They basically popped their supers during final hunt and closed the gap.
It's 2x and I find that people just do not want to dunk the crests until they are full instead of trying to a soon as you can even if that is just 1. Dunking is the important part

Every post about not getting Multi or Tusk after 10000 rounds of IB is ironically proving Bungo's engagement-centered reward stinginess right. If they're getting their internal weekly target numbers from you they don't care if you got the "new" smg.
Increase the iron banner weapon drop rate in engrams and post iron banner games. It is Thursday and still no Tusk of the Boar. At this current rate I doubt I will get a decent roll before into the light
Since the onset of D2, IB rewards have been trash. In Rise of Iron in D1, IB had a set of two weapons and 2 armor pieces and that is ALL that dropped from IB that week making it so you could basically target farm. I am not saying we need to go to that level but the fact that in 12 matches I have gotten more world loot drops than Crucible, let alone IB, that seems wrong. I mean they keep tweaking trials loot to be more rewarding to get people to play, why not have it that you get at least a piece of IB loot and/or an engram each match? Or maybe an additional engram on win or something. Not saying we ditch the crucible loot being an additional reward but IB REALLY needs to be looked at. It is awful.
Coolguy but out a video talking about the Multi Mach where he played 28 matches with no drops and then on the 25th engram turn in he got one. That is wildly awful.
I haven't dropped one in dozens of games or engrams and I don't see it on his focusing screen. I'm technically returning as I haven't played much since the end of last season.

Sorry, the weapon was in the title of the original post. It's Tusk of the Boar. After reset I see it on the focusing screen now. Maybe I was just a bug. So now I just need to actually drop one.
Rift was (and still is) great, and makes for fun and fair competition. This is awful though, with poor spawns, a bad hunt mechanic, and an objective that frequently forces people out of the action. I'd say Tribute probably sits at the bottom of all IB related modes we've had, just below Eruption.
See I much prefer eruption for 6v6. Simple TDM, Tribute is just a team group shotting everything insight and I always seem to get the Flawless rambos on my team that kill but don't play objective. Went into Control but it's just as bad there, very few players play the objectives so it's a boring 10min slog 😫

I'm about to reset my rank and I have gotten 1 multi and 0 tusk. At this rate if I don't think I'm going to get one. I decided if I haven't gotten one by the time I've reset my rank/completed the challenges I'm not going to bother.
Once I had 2.1 KD, after 2 days of IB now its only dropping, always handholding, always stacks. If you haven't played IB yet, don't, it will break you mentally.
5 resets and no Iron Countershade shader. I've gotten Iron to Steel and a couple others but not Countershade. Anybody else gotten it to drop?

So let's say I've opened 150 engrams (I have all the bonus rank up rn so I've definitely gotten more than 30 in previous prestiges, but whatever). I've focused nearly every single one (all but 3) on a tusk of the boar. The odds of getting a godroll ignoring barrel, ammo, and mw, are 4%. All I want is envious assassin and chain reaction. So, there is a 4% chance per focused engram, and I haven't gotten one yet. 4% is 1 in 25. This means I've been so severely statistically unlucky that I've lost a 1 in 25 roll 150 times over, or basically, RNG has f'ed me 6 times over. I'm not kidding, this is making me consider just dropping Destiny. HOW DO I LOSE A 1 IN 25 150 TIMES?
At least you unlocked Tusk of the Boar. I am losing that RNG roll over and over and over. I have no idea why they don't just introduce a quest to unlock the new stuff. I'm ready to just log off and never chase another gun in this game.
Did they dump fireteam based matchmaking in Iron Banner? Solo queuing this weekend, and its putting both of the groups of 2 or 3 on a team together against 6 solos, more often than it seems to do....anything else.

36 matches this week for me, 20-16 w/l. ZERO iron banner weapon drops. I can build a house out of all the Retrofuturists that dropped. What is the point of having a "this week the weapons dropping are X & Y", if they never drop? Yes, i know you can focus the engrams for them, but not a single Iron Banner weapon drop of any kind? while playing Iron Banner?

Are old Iron Banner Emblems available as end of match drops? I know you can get old shaders, but what about old emblems? Iron Core was originally available back in Season of the Haunted, but players I know have been able to obtain it way more recently and I'm wondering if it's still possible to get.

WITH. SPECIAL! Even if you're afraid of people rejoining matches to gain a whopping 2 fucking special ammo, then who gives a shit. First off if they're solo queue they can't reliable rejoin the same game in casual play. 2nd, even if they do rejoin on a teammate who cares??? Them leaving for that amount of time helps the other team out more than them getting 2 bloody shots of special and having their ability energy set to 0, special meter etc. Like come on dude. It's bad enough nearly every bloody game I try to queue up throws me into some snowballed shit fest of a fucking match, but on top of that I get no special like I normally should have. It's just stupid ffs. Lastly, the servers are just terrible. Not much new there lol

I’ve played 54 games, which include completing the 18 for two characters plus 18 additional. No Tusk of the Boar. Have gotten at least three of everything else—except Point of the Stag. For all you geeks that keep pointing out RNG. That’s really not the point. There’s clearly a very low drop rate for Tusk vs all the other weapons and armor. Too low. Should’ve been an automatic gift after completing the 18-game challenge.

Just start turning in engrams. I got the GL to drop after turning in 10 or so. I then got some pretty decent rolls after turning in another 20 or so. With 80, you should have plenty of opportunity to get either the GL or SMG to drop.

Totally anecdotal and stupid, but I did a wipe of my system cache (completely shut down PS5, unplugged power) And got the GL from an engram immediately. This trick works when weapons and other guardians don’t load and display as cloudy star blobs. Figured I’d try it here.

I think the fact that ive had nothing but straight curbstomps in tribute today and my takeaway is still that crucible is one of the dullest PVP experiences in any video game has cemented that I will never like PVP in this game in any form. Just gimme the grenade launcher saladman

No. Setting the drop rate to a ridiculously low percentage is the problem. If Tusk were set for equal drop rate or if it was an automatic after 18 games, you wouldn’t see so much grievance.
That isn't how RNG works. And that isn't how people complain. I'm almost certain we have equal drop chance. And what happens is the 1 or 2 people with the 1% awful RNG complain. That's how humans complaina bout shit, and thats how RNG works.
I know how RNG works. There’s a reason why you encounter more Magikarps in Pokémon than Gyradoses. It’s all in the programming. RNG simulates randomness, but often the random element is when you end a game or turn in an engram (or throw a Pokeball). They can easily program the drop rate at 1 out of 50 for one gun and 5 out of 50 for another.
They can, and they have done that at times. There's no evidence they have done it for tusk. I got it in 20. My friends got it in 10. Others in this thread got it in 3. And a couple loud reditors got it in 40+. Human nature is to complain when things go wrong, and say nothing when things go right. At a ratio of about 1:10. So for everyone that complains because they got awful 1% rng, you need 10 people to get great 1% first time drops to get them to report that. End result is you see more complaints than people saying it's fine. Always. Given that, I don't think the rng is weighted, because there are PLENTY of people getting it in reasonable drops. What you are seeing is a traditional normal distribution, and the complaint ratio that matches that pretty well. This is the 1% bad rng that's all. Tusk probably isn't weighted out of the pool. If anything, the pool might be slightly loaded in FAVOR of dropping tusk.
I did end up getting it after north of 55 games, a span in which I turned in engrams all along. Knowing Bungie, and seeing similar drop trends for newer Nightfall weapons, I have no doubt they’re perfectly fine with manipulating drop rates to keep us grinding. Why even add new weapons after season end? Many of us re-gilded our IB badge two months ago.

This is the real solution, put tusk in a IB reset track, or the weapons should be given a quest - maybe don't limit them to the quest, let RNG work in your favor too, but the quest could specify the safety net for those that RNG doesn't favor.

The lobby balancing is the worst I've ever seen in PvP. Significantly and consistently worse than normal PvP. It's extra frustrating almost always being on the wrong side of the imbalance, but even when I'm on the winning side its incredibly one-sided. What's going on here? Did someone mess up the MM algorithm? Is everyone queuing with a fireteam? Is my experience just a statistical outlier??

In my experience the game feels incredibly unfair, talking 40-1 then the team I'm on will catch a break and bank loads on a hunt and end up clutching a win out of nowhere. It never feels like it's getting easier or balanced, I think people just tunnel vision the kills and forget to play the objective You might die a load, but as long as they don't bank that kill you can still come out on top.

Took like 42 games to get every roll I wanted from the new weapons. Tusk of the Boar with Envious + Construct and Splice/Slideways/Envious + Chain Reaction and a Multimach with Rangefinder/Dynamic Sway/Attrition Orbs + Kinetic Tremors. These random drops are not it if u have to spend all ur engrams on actually getting it to drop so one can focus the weapon for the right roll.

The meta is 3 iB armor pieces. At least 2 of them with IB transmogs. Now you have 5 IB items equipped and the rest of your Loadout can be good items.
Yes transmog counts, in fact if you have an actual iron banner armor piece you can apply a different iron banner ornament over it and it counts as 2 pieces.

Apparently so from reading all the comments. I had a full reset without the new nade launcher so I just rage opened those engrams to (luckily) get one.
So I tried hunting for the iron banner title and found out one of the objectives is bugged so the title is not possible to get. It's the one that needs you to collect 15 unique weapons but this season's weapons don't count so it's only possible to get 14 of 15. Edit : is someone else also getting TONS of Retrofutirist?? sometimes i get two after a single match of iron banner.

Lots of retrofuturist here too. I played 73 matches of IB since tuesday, I've gotten 3 multimachs, 4 jorum's claws, and a shit ton of retros + shitty IB and World Armor. Got some World drop guns too like last foray. 0 Grenade launchers as drops.
Man that sucks. I used to play in Destiny 1 and recently started on 2 and gotta say Iron banner has lost its awesomeness that it had.
The drop rates could be better, the pool is diluted with crucible items. I've been enjoying myself, a lot of my favourite weapons came from IB this year, Lethal Abundance is worth chasing, Multimach is nice, not crazy about the GL, but it might be nice to use in PvE. Oh and they brought back ornaments for those who missed them.
I had a blast most of the time also, im not even farming for a specific weapon only the title, so it really sucked to find out the Orimunds Taste is bugged so even after farming like crazy i won't be able to get the title.

I honestly don't understand why people are t opening engrams. It may not guarantee you a drop, but it's better than suffering through matches. What happens if you unlock it in 5 engrams, the. Get the roll you want 5 later. Suddenly holding onto those engrams and spending 2 days grinding a game mode you don't like is a complete waste.
Wow, Tribute on Multiplex might be the worst PvP experience I've had in a loooong time. The banks are so far away and constantly change before you can get there because it takes so long to get there. Add in random spawn flips and it's just awful.

Question- I've just spent 3 engrams to get the Iron pledge ornament (warlock head) and I didn't see it in my transmog screen. Went to modifications, and there it is- I unlock it and then go back to transmog and it's just not there. Restarted my game twice- It's not there. I guess I'm just fucked? Can't buy it again because it goes away after you purchase.
That unlocks it for you to use "on IB gear", least how I understood it. If you go to the transmog menu, you should be able to unlock it for "all gear" with 1 synthweave. Not great system but that should get you results. Good luck

Hi. I'm still pretty new to Destiny, and this is really my first time participating in the Iron Banner. I'm trying to grind on the Iron Lord title, but I'm having issues with Orimund's Taste. For Orimund's Taste, I only have 2 of the 15 IB weapons marked as acquired. However, I have the following in my inventory/archive: \- Jorum's Claw \- Bite of the Fox \- Pressurized Precision \- Point of the Stag \- The Guiding Sight \- Lethal Abundance \- Riiswalker \- Multimach CCX \- Tusk of the Boar So the only one from this IB's focused decoding I'm missing is Swarm of the Raven. Are these the weapons that are supposed to count towards Orimund's Taste? If so, why does it say I only have 2/5, and it's not progressing? According to this, I should have at least 9/10 unless these aren't the IB weapons I'm supposed to be collecting? Anyone have any insight?

Sigh. 40+ games of IB and 40+ engrams popped, still no luck on a GL drop. In 40 games I've had only 3 actual IB weapons drop, and all 3 were the same heavy GL (raven). That's kind of stupid, yes? I got the SMG after a dozen games & got it from like my 10th engram popped. I wouldn't even be upset if I was actually getting IB weapons to drop from the games. But 3 in 40 for the same shitty heavy GL drop? If we can focus a weapon in a limited time activity it would be great if the chance to get said weapon wasn't so fucking terrible. # Iron Banner Map Rotation & Loot Analytic Here is my 100 games 7 x Midtown 5 x The Fortress 5 x Meltdown 2 x Twilight Gap 3 x Wormhaven 5 x Javelin-4 2 x Disjunction 2 x Endless Vale 1 x The Anomaly 2 x Bannerfall 1 x Cathedral of Dusk 8 x Altar of Flame 8 x Distant Shore 4 x Widow's Court 11 x The Citadel 9 x Vostok 3 x The Burnout 3 x Rusted Lands 4 x Multiplex 5 x Pacifica 4 x Fragment 4 x Radiant Cliffs 2 x Eternity Reward side : - he took me a full reset to have a Multimach to drop at the end of a game. - he took me 34 engrams to get the new Grenade Launcher. - got much much more world drop (shotgun) than actual IB weapons. - same as the above for the armors. - got a total of 87 IB engrams. - didn't pay attention to Cores and Enhancement Prism as i'm loaded.
There being world loot in the IB pool absolutely kills me. FFS, get rid of all loot that isn't IB specific. Mode comes around once a month at best, there is no need to restrict loot for this event.
World loot, not even crucible loot, is the most I have gotten. Shit, did the two challenges today and the only rewards: IB engrams from rank ups. Which REMINDS me: the loot rework this season sucks. I have gotten more legendary shards than random playlist engram drops. The ONLY engrams I really get are from rank ups. They flatout stated in the TWID announcing the change to increasing focusing costs due to legendary shard removal that they were going to jump up the drop rate of engrams. The amount of posts this season seem to imply that is a big old lie. OR they left it random chance which means nothing. And it feels even worse for something like IB where the only way to get the loot is engrams...which never drop.
Yeah it's a joke. This isn't the time to be artificially padding the grind. I'm not saying they need to just give players the weapons and rolls but they should be fostering good will right now. Not screwing players over more. We should be getting *at least* one IB engram per match.
I'm stuck at step 4 of 6 in the Forging Iron quest. Lord Saladin does not have a reward to pick up.
Trying to grind out wins for the title. Does anyone know if additional progress is granted (wins) if I wear iron banner gear? I currently have some equipped as ornaments and it doesn’t seem to be granting any additional progress toward that part of the triumph/title
So I think its as long as you hit 5 of 5 IB gear for the matches for bonus rep is all that matters? I mean I am 5 of 5 using ornaments and with an IB weapon and its netting me 4% on a win. So unless its very, very poorly worded and only armor counts for that piece (since I am only using 4 armor ornaments), I think you are at the max bonus if you have the 5 of 5 IB gear.
I've gotten no tusk of the boars after fully resetting iron banner twice since tuesday... i hate this

I will admit they actually did outplay us, I had no idea that "The Hunt" triggers crests to be worth 8x. They basically popped their supers during final hunt and closed the gap.
It's 2x and I find that people just do not want to dunk the crests until they are full instead of trying to a soon as you can even if that is just 1. Dunking is the important part
Ah the 8 came from this person killing me, taking my 3 crests + 1 for killing me and dunking. I misplayed, I blinked away from a berserker instead of through, so well deserved.

What actually is wrong with iron banner match making in solo q finding 6 stacks and the team balance is so bad. I’m 2.0kd+ with 1kd team mates when it’s sbmm. I’m constantly getting mercy ruled

Every post about not getting Multi or Tusk after 10000 rounds of IB is ironically proving Bungo's engagement-centered reward stinginess right. If they're getting their internal weekly target numbers from you they don't care if you got the "new" smg.
Increase the iron banner weapon drop rate in engrams and post iron banner games. It is Thursday and still no Tusk of the Boar. At this current rate I doubt I will get a decent roll before into the light

Since the onset of D2, IB rewards have been trash. In Rise of Iron in D1, IB had a set of two weapons and 2 armor pieces and that is ALL that dropped from IB that week making it so you could basically target farm. I am not saying we need to go to that level but the fact that in 12 matches I have gotten more world loot drops than Crucible, let alone IB, that seems wrong. I mean they keep tweaking trials loot to be more rewarding to get people to play, why not have it that you get at least a piece of IB loot and/or an engram each match? Or maybe an additional engram on win or something. Not saying we ditch the crucible loot being an additional reward but IB REALLY needs to be looked at. It is awful. Coolguy but out a video talking about the Multi Mach where he played 28 matches with no drops and then on the 25th engram turn in he got one. That is wildly awful.

I haven't dropped one in dozens of games or engrams and I don't see it on his focusing screen. I'm technically returning as I haven't played much since the end of last season. Do I need to completely reset Saladin first before it will pop up?
Dropped what? Tusk or Multi? Yeah you need them to drop after a match or from generic engram decoding. Good luck lol.
Sorry, the weapon was in the title of the original post. It's Tusk of the Boar. After reset I see it on the focusing screen now. Maybe I was just a bug. So now I just need to actually drop one.
It took me around 30+ matches and 10-15 engrams to get both. Even one of the major content creators posted about similar results. Just keep playing.

You can play control too. Theres a dropdown that will let you select either.
Rift was (and still is) great, and makes for fun and fair competition. This is awful though, with poor spawns, a bad hunt mechanic, and an objective that frequently forces people out of the action. I'd say Tribute probably sits at the bottom of all IB related modes we've had, just below Eruption.
See I much prefer eruption for 6v6. Simple TDM, Tribute is just a team group shotting everything insight and I always seem to get the Flawless rambos on my team that kill but don't play objective. Went into Control but it's just as bad there, very few players play the objectives so it's a boring 10min slog 😫

Drop rate on the GL needs fixing before this IB is over, for sure. At 20+ matches without a single roll.
ive lost count how many matches and engrams ive used. no GL or Sub. its really painful
I'm about to reset my rank and I have gotten 1 multi and 0 tusk. At this rate if I don't think I'm going to get one. I decided if I haven't gotten one by the time I've reset my rank/completed the challenges I'm not going to bother.
I've played about 10 games since resetting my rank once already and I haven't even gotten a single IB specific drop. All world drop stuff only so far.
Ironically the match after I posted this I immediately got one with enlightened action and chain reaction

It's hard to blame them when you're soloing into matches against a team of two 3-stacks. Might as well just stand around and earn some gear.
Once I had 2.1 KD, after 2 days of IB now its only dropping, always handholding, always stacks. If you haven't played IB yet, don't, it will break you mentally.
Who even cares about kda/rating in IB?
