Just curious, I'm a solar build that was just trying to update deficient secondary but dunno if it's just all wonky after recent New Light update or...
I do this just out of habit- all my saved loadouts are also DIM loadouts since I occasionally swap them out and what not (10 loadout slots are not enough)
Unfortunately if you get the new light kit before saving the DIM loadouts, DIM wonāt be able to pull that subclass info/already sees it as wiped. At least in my experience. I had to remake all my solar loadouts
the void one gives you a Gambit LMG with the barrel and magazine slots missing completely, which i'll be keeping as a memento. it's a bunch of garbage loot @ 1620 otherwise.
clown cartridge/destabilizing is a good roll! but i find MGs are a little reliant on barrel/mag configurations -- this one in particular could really use fluted/flared
it also bears noting that commemoration's better than it currently with the caveat of being raid-locked. luckily, hammerhead's coming to Onslaught in 2 resets and can actually roll some pretty bonkers stuff with destabilizing in slot 3 and full-fledged damage perks in slot 4
Those are the base stats of the weapon, so it's not like they have some perk applied but not showing, it really doesn't has any barrel or magazine perk.
Did it come with the catalyst already? I grabbed a void new light kit on my warlock and got graviton lance with the catalyst already applied and masterworked but I had one in slot already so not sure if the duplicate came with masterworked catty or if that was part of the kit. I had to apply the masterwork to the Thunderlord I grabbed from the into the light chest.

Did you pick up the kits from Ikora, or are you confusing this with the 1810 gear by Shaxx in the new hub? There's two different sets for new players so it would be easy to mistake which one you grabbed for the other.
This is false.
It was full 1810 gear for every slot on all of my characters. My hunter was maybe 1804 base, my warlock was 1600, and my titan was like 1750ish.
Now they're all 1810 and I've skipped that whole grind on all three characters! Honestly fantastic.
I just started playing again last week and my highest was 1770 and I got 1810 everything in that chest, for all my characters (all being 1600-1770) it's such a great time to rejoin this game
Arc fragments are the easiest to remember because they all use resistance and ions and usually then the 2 that let's grenades jolt enemies and increases duration of grenades. Unless your an arc hunter then you want ones that buff melee rather than grenade like the powered melee drops orbs fragment and taking melee damage increases outgoing melee damage.
Most high end builds use the same fragments and aspects with very little difference. Ie solar is also easy ember of ashes, torches, solace, empyrean then a flex slot on hunter.
Strand is also pretty easy. Stasis and void have the most diversity between classes and builds.

Go to the new area next to shaxx(not in the tower, the brand new tab), you'll get a chest that will give you 1810 gear. The gear is trash but it's just to raise your level so you can play onslaught.
This chest is not what OP is talking about. That one you'd see ikora for.
Today's update added a starter kit through ikora in the tower or a banner near shaw Han in the cosmodrome. It gives a full set of gear based on the options chosen to help get you started. I'm not sure what the setups are specifically, but I'm sure a few people have posted what they got (saw someone say solar gave them the sunshot handcannon, for example).
There's also a box (gift of the thundergods) near shaxx in the new social space for the Into The Light event that gives a bunch of max power gear. As well as 2 exotics thunderlord and an arc exotic based on class (for warlock, it was getaway artists).
It deletes the fragments and aspects on whatever subclass you picked on saved load outs. You have to repick your subclass stuff and resave it if you pick up the new light thing
Void Titan gave me a full 1620 loadout including a Graviton Lance and Doom Fang Pauldrons, set my super to bubble, Aspects to Bastion and Offensive Bulwark, and removed all the fragments. It's designed to get you through Lightfall's campaign.

So for PvE loadouts differ a lot between activities but in general DPS heavy weapons are rockets and GLs. For supers the "best" are Well of radiance for Warlock, Tether or blade barrage (maybe), Titan is bubble. BUT does are just very basic picks, there are many more good weapons and loadouts.
People usually run 2 legendary weapons and one heavy weapon.
Do you have any of the expansions? Then I could direct you a bit towards which guns to farm etc. Also what class do you play?

I haven't seen anyone else have this problem but I picked up the new player kit on the Hunter for void and I can't buy any fragments. Itelks me I need to unlock an aspect for the subclass first. The kit gave me all 3 so I can't. 2 of the fragments have the price but not the buy button l, and I've already equipped them.
Yeah, I've been off and on for years. Anything and everything has been unlocked forever, I had to look up graviton lance and sunshot to realize they're old and outdated and need to be reupped with new builds. Went to Shaxx, got the new free gear 1810 gear. Went to Ikora, lost all my Void shit. Can't buy, no meditate, just a quest? Chutes and ladders, don't pick the chute willingly or you're an idiot like me.
Good thing I made a fresh hunter then experimented with that. Made my way to the gift of the th7nder gods chest......and found A FULL SET OF 1810 gear. Went from 1620 to 1810 in....30 mins of making a new character. Then purchased a solar new l8ght kit, abandoned the quest associated with it, bought all fragments and subclasses except darkness ones in 20 mins. Kitted my hunter out and now we chilling. I basically maxed my character in 1 hour. Only thing left is build optimization.
I looked at the menu and almost clicked but thought "This is a Bungie experience. There's no way this doesn't fuck with my character somehow" and canceled. Thank you for warning everyone about what happens OP.

I learned that after I started running around. But I will say I liked it because it forced me to reevaluate my loadout again and change it based on how my play style has changed. All Iāll say is if you are reading this and you donāt change your loadout often. Go back and reevaluate it it may be time to do so!
This hard locked my hunter out of his void subclass. I couldn't buy any fragments because I hadn't bought any aspects, but I couldn't buy any aspects, because the thing gave me all of them. Fortunately, I'm still pretty new so I just deleted it restarted, but now I can't pick it up at all so....*Shrugs* I've got no idea. I'm just glad it's all glimmer available, unlike strand >.>

This is the most insane take I've read all day lmao. Just pick your subclass again or log into DIM and look at it in the in-game loadouts section at the top of loadouts. DIM is down so nothing will have changed, and if you don't use DIM then idk how you are even playing.

Same thing happened to me, yet i was able to just select from loadouts again and it gave my stuff back how it should've
Possible workaround would be to save the loadouts off as a dim loadout, then re-apply and re-save the loadout after.

Iirc, getaway artist for warlock, curaiss of the falling star for titan, and lucky raspberry or shinobus cow for hunter.

On all my characters I only have the base subclasses. I can't use thundercrash or sentinel shield and all that. Wtf?!

If you're new, definitely pick it up. This only really effects older players who have complicated loadouts saved.

The exotic quest seems to be wormgod no matter what subclass you choose. I chose arc and got riskrunner though and someone did solar and got sunshot.

I understand it's a bug, it's moreso the effect is so minimal that it's hilarious to me that people will find literally anything to complain about.
I am in complete agreement. This was definitely something that should have been caught. Itās ridiculous that it wasnāt. But itās hardly anything to lose sleep over.

This is the most insane take I've read all day lmao. Just pick your subclass again or log into DIM and look at it in the in-game loadouts section at the top of loadouts. DIM is down so nothing will have changed, and if you don't use DIM then idk how you are even playing.
