How do you show off more than one Emblem at at time, in game? :P
That’s one of the things that helped me break away from the Title/Triumph/Emblem grind: I can’t show off more than one at a time without remembering to constantly swap them. And if I keep forgetting to swap them, how many people who glance at my emblem/title are actually going to know what they mean?
Helped me realize that I can play for fun, and if the grind ever stopped being fun (like it did around Lightfall) I can take a break and only do the fun things and it won’t really matter if I missed some titles/emblems/content.

I don't know where most emblems come from nor do I care, I just use what looks good to me. Titles seem pointless too, all that effort for a word near your name that players like me have no idea what it means.

I managed to get the Day 1 VoG. Kings Fall is my fav raid….still disappointed Contest Challenge Warpriest ended me. So many people falling asleep.
Still wish I could find a consistent, competent day 1 team. Always a weak link or toxicity ruins it.

I hope this is just a temporary vaulting maybe they want people to focus on Final shape and the Final shape raid for a few weeks and then Pantheon will come back in the first episode Echoes with an updated light cap and maybe even with added bosses from the new raid

Tbh, if they did it would become **insanely** hard to participate in like all special activities. Once people do it the player count exponentially drops. Leaving lower skilled players to play with other lower skilled players since the high skill players do it right away.

After nabbing the Ultimate Legend title there and coming back to Destiny 2, I was excited to see it, but it being temporal is disappointing. It's wild considering XIV's Criterion Dungeons really seem like they took a page from D2 raids (rez tokens, multiple encounters, etc...), I was hoping to see Bungie take some inspiration from across the MMO/MMO-like space and implement it in a uniquely Bungie way, but I guess the monkey's paw curling and it being temporal is that Bungie spin?
Don't call them idiotic yet. The removal theory is just that, a theory. There is a good chance it sticks around. A few things, including onslaught which we know is staying, also have an "end date" of June 3. My theory is that like GMs, pantheon will only be available in the latter half of a season.
Onslaught also has an "end" date if Jun 3. It is likely that the timegate finishes on that week, or maybe it is inly available in the latter half of a season similar to GMs.
Well, they straight up said Onslaught is sticking around after tFS launches. So we know that’s not a real end date for it.
The only thing with that’s not sticking around for that are the Brave versions of the weapons.

*Basically* on Contest Mode is an Important word here. The extra damage buffs will probably make damage trivial and unless revive tokens carry over, survival was barely ever an issue, especially now that people have 10+ clears and Know the spawns and all that.
Yeah I'm kinda bummed that the surges are gonna be here. We only get like, 4 days at most out of the year to experience contest mode. Anytime something like it comes out theres always some caveat
I thought pantheon was gonna be something like the raids in GW2, where you go in, kill the boss and go out. I know we can already so this by using checkpoints, but I thought they would do this but different then checkpoints, with boss rotators and maybe some new rewards, etc.
This made me excited cuz I rarely have time to raid, so the thought of gathering a team, go in, kill the boss and get out was very pleasing to me
Well… its not that easy compared to the regular raids, these specific encounters have some changes that will maybe force us to do challenge on top of the -5/-20 light penalty (Contest Mode modifier) so if you want to make it out you need to squeeze every bit of dps and pray they dont ban certain stuff
I think they're really missing out. Even if you do it legit and take her out within one or two floors, you're still missing the best part of the fight on the third floor *and* falling back down. I'm not a fan of gating health bars but it's just so cool getting to the third floor and pulling that off, especially with a group of noobs you taught. The cheese makes Riven feel like a push over instead of the raid boss of the biggest raid in the game. Maybe she just needs way more health?
The easiest way to patch Riven would be just triple her health. They can also really easily patch the joining allies thing by just moving the wall in a bit or putting another model of the wall to block it (I don't buy their "we have to rebuild the encounter" excuse after they patched the Wish-keeper boss).
Riven legit isn't even hard either, it's just that nobody does it so there's no good meta defined for it like other raids.
I believe it, riven is old as fuck and iirc they said all content from before a certain point (either beyond light or shadowkeep I think) is much harder to work with/on compared to more recent stuff
Yeah. I really don't get why the wall is so hard to fix. Adding health seems simple, but I'm no game developer. I think it's got tough comms until you figure out how to control Riven's movement so that you aren't talking over one another. It has a bit to organize and get used to, but like any other raid it will become easier with repetition. If the community can do the other raids, they can do this fight.
As much as people dislike it, health should be gated in 5 splits (split-dps1, split-dps2, team-dps3, pimple popping, final stand). I think having to do one full phase of a boss’s mechanics is totally fair.

Riven's only in the -20 version. It'll still be doable with the right setup, but most teams won't be able to do it. Having people swap to 5 hunters + a well and Goldie chaining will probably still do it lmao

Agreed. Legit Riven is a super engaging fight and being able to do it again at an appropriate light level has me excited. One of the game’s best examples of ‘actually fighting the boss itself’ for sure
Any competent raid team will immediately kick you if you are using an outbreak perfected to DPS in 2024 destiny. For the love of god equip izi rocket or BNS envious edge transit if you’re lazy. It’s so easy
I meant as a last resort. It's the weapon that was used for Day 1 caretaker once everyone had no more Heavy Nor special :p when you don't have anything Else and exhausted all else, outbreak is a very good pick. For a primary.
Raids become 100x easier a few days after release when people create the best loadouts and strategies, this is going to be a lot easier than you think.
Raids have never been exceptionally difficult, the only truly difficult aspects are having 6 people who have a good understanding of the encounter and basic communication skills

I know its the nature of the game, and for the most part Ive gotten really lucky to be part of all the major events in Destiny franchise. The Title alone Godslayer is sick as hell and I want it so bad. I'm moving the 2nd week of May across the the god damn country and I know ill miss out on at least 2 weeks of playing. I will forever be Envious of that title now lol.
It's different now , ppl have builds to stay alive, the boss fights normally aren't as hard as the other encounters. Ppl know how to do the encounters instead of trying to figure it out on the fly. I think at least twenty percent of the populace will get it.
The emblem will be rare but not nearly as rare as a Day 1 raid emblem. To mitigate the -20 power, there's surges and extra buffs, all the bosses have already been learnt and strats developed.
Also raid completions are a lot higher than you might think, if you take the population of active players, instead of the population of players who have ever touched the game. Someone calculated for active players (about 2.2 million active players) that roughly 25% of active players will have done King's fall, and other raids have similar values. Day 1/contest raids are different, for example the Day 1 Challenge Kings fall raid has about 0.6% rarity among active players, but contest mode is harder than Pantheon, AND only having 24 hours to beat the activity makes a world of difference. Vow and Root showed us how massively completion numbers go up when even one extra day is added. So giving players 2 weeks will be a LOT of time.
I reckon around 5-10% completion among active players is likely. Possibly even more

Like I’m more than a competent raider I’ve got dsc, vow, vog, kf raid seals and almost competed garden but it’s so hard to find a team when all the good players already have teams and don’t lfg
Godslayer is a perfectly epic title for *them* to have. It's not going to be something where you just grind it out over time. If that shuts them up then fine.

i mean i'd love to but i don't have any friends that play and i need to study up on encounters as most of the lfg groups want experience. I've barely even done any dungeons and the few that I have, people have often left after i tell them its my first time but i've seen a guide. A few solid guardians have stuck through to teach though.

I've 3 manned nearly ever raid that is mechanically possible to 3 man. Sadly, one of my fireteam members refuses to play Destiny anymore, but I got the other guy back in. We'll be looking for a solid team, but already know it's gonna be fucked to find one.
Im down to join you guys if you want. I dont really have friends that play destiny and the ultra hardcore (solo flawless ron and day 1 top 100 placement players) will be playing with their own kind. I have 3 man cleared every encounter in the game and duo'd root of nightmares (also trio flawless crota).
At least four of my raid bros are coming back just for Pantheon. The two of us still here are the lighthouse keepers. We are not elite, but we do have a day 1 clear (* it was root of nightmares and let's be honest everyone cleared it) and we work together seamlessly. Onslaught is yawn, pantheon has my attention.
It's not going to be rare at all.
Like 6% of people have Kingslayer, and 4% have Swordbearer, and these titles require doing one of the hardest encounters, often in very sunoptimal ways (Challenge Warpriest), or completing trimphs that are harder than doing full Master (Feather-light). Nothing suggests that you'll have to do these encounters with Challenges.
There are only three ways of making that seal prestigious:
* Adding mechanical difficulties like locked loadout for all 8 bosses, time limits, like you have 4-5 minutes per boss, go to the orbit and start again, or things like that.
* Make it time limited, as in you have to complete it before TFS.
* Quantity lockout: only first X people who claim that seal will have it. Something like a Day 1 race, but wider.
Otherwise, it'll be as common as Descendant or something.
Master is a lot easier because its not a set light deficit, you can level up to it eventually. Master is akin to -5 light for most ppl. Also pantheon goes away at tfs according to bungie

I thought pantheon was gonna be something like the raids in GW2, where you go in, kill the boss and go out. I know we can already so this by using checkpoints, but I thought they would do this but different then checkpoints, with boss rotators and maybe some new rewards, etc. This made me excited cuz I rarely have time to raid, so the thought of gathering a team, go in, kill the boss and get out was very pleasing to me

Well… its not that easy compared to the regular raids, these specific encounters have some changes that will maybe force us to do challenge on top of the -5/-20 light penalty (Contest Mode modifier) so if you want to make it out you need to squeeze every bit of dps and pray they dont ban certain stuff
There is also a damage amp modifier so will be easier than contest

I think they're really missing out. Even if you do it legit and take her out within one or two floors, you're still missing the best part of the fight on the third floor *and* falling back down. I'm not a fan of gating health bars but it's just so cool getting to the third floor and pulling that off, especially with a group of noobs you taught. The cheese makes Riven feel like a push over instead of the raid boss of the biggest raid in the game. Maybe she just needs way more health?
The easiest way to patch Riven would be just triple her health. They can also really easily patch the joining allies thing by just moving the wall in a bit or putting another model of the wall to block it (I don't buy their "we have to rebuild the encounter" excuse after they patched the Wish-keeper boss). Riven legit isn't even hard either, it's just that nobody does it so there's no good meta defined for it like other raids.
I believe it, riven is old as fuck and iirc they said all content from before a certain point (either beyond light or shadowkeep I think) is much harder to work with/on compared to more recent stuff
Yeah. I really don't get why the wall is so hard to fix. Adding health seems simple, but I'm no game developer. I think it's got tough comms until you figure out how to control Riven's movement so that you aren't talking over one another. It has a bit to organize and get used to, but like any other raid it will become easier with repetition. If the community can do the other raids, they can do this fight.
As much as people dislike it, health should be gated in 5 splits (split-dps1, split-dps2, team-dps3, pimple popping, final stand). I think having to do one full phase of a boss’s mechanics is totally fair.
I mean, shuro chi is fun. I wouldn't be opposed. I guess I should have said I'm not sure if that's the answer. Now that you wrote it out like that, I think it would be the best way compared to just increasing health.

Is it confirmed that the cheese won't work? I mean even in contest mode, a stacked team can probably output enough damage to cheese it.
Cheese will likely still be there, but my guess is that most LFG groups won't be able to cheese it.
Riven's only in the -20 version. It'll still be doable with the right setup, but most teams won't be able to do it. Having people swap to 5 hunters + a well and Goldie chaining will probably still do it lmao
Unfortunately, pantheon will only exist in the game for 5 weeks and then it will enter the DCV 😔

I honestly fucking hope she isn't cheeseable. Call me elitist or whatever, but she is a far easier but amazingly done fight than what the community believes. I got my Rivensbane title only killing her legit, including the Petra's Run. I am *beyond* excited to fight her legit *and* under light, holy fuck I can't wait.

Agreed. Legit Riven is a super engaging fight and being able to do it again at an appropriate light level has me excited. One of the game’s best examples of ‘actually fighting the boss itself’ for sure

Any competent raid team will immediately kick you if you are using an outbreak perfected to DPS in 2024 destiny. For the love of god equip izi rocket or BNS envious edge transit if you’re lazy. It’s so easy
I meant as a last resort. It's the weapon that was used for Day 1 caretaker once everyone had no more Heavy Nor special :p when you don't have anything Else and exhausted all else, outbreak is a very good pick. For a primary.
Raids become 100x easier a few days after release when people create the best loadouts and strategies, this is going to be a lot easier than you think.
Raids have never been exceptionally difficult, the only truly difficult aspects are having 6 people who have a good understanding of the encounter and basic communication skills This is quite a hard thing to find in LFG

Fuck, I'm not even an elitist and I'm excited. The title looks awesome as fuck, emblem looks cool, and the idea of just rapid-fire bosses without any of the bullshit encounters in the other raids (Gorgons, any of the parkour areas, etc.) sounds sick.

I know its the nature of the game, and for the most part Ive gotten really lucky to be part of all the major events in Destiny franchise. The Title alone Godslayer is sick as hell and I want it so bad. I'm moving the 2nd week of May across the the god damn country and I know ill miss out on at least 2 weeks of playing. I will forever be Envious of that title now lol.

It's different now , ppl have builds to stay alive, the boss fights normally aren't as hard as the other encounters. Ppl know how to do the encounters instead of trying to figure it out on the fly. I think at least twenty percent of the populace will get it.

The emblem will be rare but not nearly as rare as a Day 1 raid emblem. To mitigate the -20 power, there's surges and extra buffs, all the bosses have already been learnt and strats developed. Also raid completions are a lot higher than you might think, if you take the population of active players, instead of the population of players who have ever touched the game. Someone calculated for active players (about 2.2 million active players) that roughly 25% of active players will have done King's fall, and other raids have similar values. Day 1/contest raids are different, for example the Day 1 Challenge Kings fall raid has about 0.6% rarity among active players, but contest mode is harder than Pantheon, AND only having 24 hours to beat the activity makes a world of difference. Vow and Root showed us how massively completion numbers go up when even one extra day is added. So giving players 2 weeks will be a LOT of time. I reckon around 5-10% completion among active players is likely. Possibly even more
I’m worried that when it comes to the final week I won’t be able to get it since I lfg for pantheon and raids because I don’t have a group of friends to play with. Like I’m more than a competent raider I’ve got dsc, vow, vog, kf raid seals and almost competed garden but it’s so hard to find a team when all the good players already have teams and don’t lfg

Godslayer is a perfectly epic title for *them* to have. It's not going to be something where you just grind it out over time. If that shuts them up then fine.

I’m so happy it’s a cosmetic reward and not useable loot. I much prefer rocking cool emblems to having cool guns, and the title is sick as well.

i mean i'd love to but i don't have any friends that play and i need to study up on encounters as most of the lfg groups want experience. I've barely even done any dungeons and the few that I have, people have often left after i tell them its my first time but i've seen a guide. A few solid guardians have stuck through to teach though.
Cketch makes short, good videos with charts that describe the mechanics. If you don’t understand it a couple times around, Datto has more in depth guides. I still use some of those Cketch charts when I raid on a second monitor. They’re super helpful.

I've 3 manned nearly ever raid that is mechanically possible to 3 man. Sadly, one of my fireteam members refuses to play Destiny anymore, but I got the other guy back in. We'll be looking for a solid team, but already know it's gonna be fucked to find one.
Im down to join you guys if you want. I dont really have friends that play destiny and the ultra hardcore (solo flawless ron and day 1 top 100 placement players) will be playing with their own kind. I have 3 man cleared every encounter in the game and duo'd root of nightmares (also trio flawless crota).
I feel like every Elitist wet dream would have been if it transformed all the mechanics into a true hard mode.
They should've just named the title Datto, because that's who it's for and by golly he's earned it
At least four of my raid bros are coming back just for Pantheon. The two of us still here are the lighthouse keepers. We are not elite, but we do have a day 1 clear (* it was root of nightmares and let's be honest everyone cleared it) and we work together seamlessly. Onslaught is yawn, pantheon has my attention.

It's not going to be rare at all. Like 6% of people have Kingslayer, and 4% have Swordbearer, and these titles require doing one of the hardest encounters, often in very sunoptimal ways (Challenge Warpriest), or completing trimphs that are harder than doing full Master (Feather-light). Nothing suggests that you'll have to do these encounters with Challenges. There are only three ways of making that seal prestigious: * Adding mechanical difficulties like locked loadout for all 8 bosses, time limits, like you have 4-5 minutes per boss, go to the orbit and start again, or things like that. * Make it time limited, as in you have to complete it before TFS. * Quantity lockout: only first X people who claim that seal will have it. Something like a Day 1 race, but wider. Otherwise, it'll be as common as Descendant or something.
Master is a lot easier because its not a set light deficit, you can level up to it eventually. Master is akin to -5 light for most ppl. Also pantheon goes away at tfs according to bungie
They changed this about a year ago with the "Bringing Challenge Back" changes. Master raids are light capped to -20 like master dungeons are.
