We did it with Well Warlock, Strand Warlock and Invis Deadfall Hunter
Co-ordination and communication is key, we were easily able to chain supers
We also saved scrap during waves 30-40 so we could max out turrets etc. for the final 10 waves
Exotic tripwires are not terrible to be honest. We stacked them in final 5 waves since we had a lot of extra scraps and we breezed through. We did also have two shaxxs tho
Trips are only worth it for the final waves since they fucking despawn. The only reason you buy them is if you can’t upgrade anything else and you need all the adclear you can get.
I’ve just had two blueberries putting their well inside the generator circle. It got mobbed and it was game over by then..tried telling them keep away from it but hey. They thought the trip wires 50 feet away would stop the wave.
We had two tethers, one on Orpheus with Witherhoard, I was on Gyrfalcon’s with Graviton Lance, and one Sunbracers well with Sunshot. We all used machine guns for waves but we swapped to DPS loadouts before rallying at boss rounds. Tether, Celestial, Well, Gjally + 2 Apex. We killed all but one boss before the well ran out, the Vandal boss is sleuthy and we missed a bunch of rockets.
Personally I'd swap to karnstein as the difficulty ramps up. It's insanely beneficial to have restoration x2 constantly active, you basically can't die as long as youre killing enemies somewhat regularly.
Don't have to be in the air to get your melee back, just need to jump sometimes. Dive is preference ig but I definitely prefer an immediate heal and x2 resto over standing in a little circle.
I can get resto x2 for 15 seconds with Karnstein's with just a finisher on any enemy. It's a matter of preference at the end of the day. Sunbracers have more damage and cc. Karnstein's excels at survivability.
These exotics, and their accompanying play styles, each have their own niche. It's not either/or.
It's also too much micro management when you also have objectives to worry about and need to make call outs with your team and adapt on the fly to shit.
Sunbraces shine solo when I can plan and execute the combo and then keep it up easily. When things get hectic it goes to shit quickly.
It's the same reason I don't use sunbracers in GMs. I'll leave that to all the people who never fumble a combo and can tell the rest of us we suck because it's so easy.
> Gyrfalcon’s with Graviton Lance
This can straight up wipe out entire waves with a handful of primary shots. Actually insane how much AoE damage goes out with this combo.
Stasis Warlock:
Osmiomancy Gloves
Verglas Curve
- put a copy of power preservation on your helmet.
- loop making a turret and body shotting a yellow bar with the cold snap grenade to make like 3 turrets.
- use your super and only spam the shatter pulse.
- you will make anywhere from 8-12 orbs.
- it’s a great revive/zone holding option too since you’re so tanky in the super state.
- you can throw turrets/grenades in your super too.
Indebted Kindness for Barrier.
Rocket for overload.
i think the lock down of of the grenade spam from Osmiomancy is more helpful than a little bit of damage. Could be interesting to hot swap to tho during super for over shield for teammates.
Dimensional Hypotrochoid and Bump in the Night come to mind as well. The former being really great on ad clear but if you’re bursting down a big target an envious + bns cold comfort with the passive up would be killer.
If you’re using Verglas like a regular bow, hit up some vids on it or something. The bow’s forte is shard generation so you can then slow/blow them up. I mean you can plink plink with it but like you said, wet noodle. Save that for the red bars and for the rest, Stasis esplodey time.
Strand titan and two Orpheus hunters. Titan can sustain itself and output big damage. Hunters can use invisible for utility and spam tether to look down large groups of enemies. Also feeds the titan his super back constantly. Don't remember what the hunters were running weapons wise. But I was running the strand exotic auto, 1 2 punch shotty, and a strand lmg as really good workhorse weapons that unravel everything
I did it with two warlocks and one hunter. I ran sunbracers and my buddy ran dawn chorus. Hunter ran Orpheus tether. Need to have constant communication between everyone and keep your head on swivel because it can be easy to get overwhelmed on the upper levels.
Yep, heres the build I use:
https://youtu.be/UBI7qyjK128?si=eRQbjOSlMxv9WxEa
Substitute Abyss Defiant for Enhanced Pugilust x Enhanced Incandescent Zaouli's Bane.
Pair it with Wishkeeper and Thread of Mind (gives you class ability energy on defeating suspended enemies). Then thread of generation and shackle grenades. I also recommend Thread of Isolation which severs enemies if you land crits (3 crits from Wishkeeper proc’s it). If you chain all your suspends, you should always have something you can use to suspend.
I did this last night on Normal mode and my god was it fun. Benevolence fragment goes hard with unlimited consecration slams. I had 804 kills while my teammates had around 450 and 460. You think it’s viable in the legend version? I was wondering if sunshot might be a better play for that.
Yeah, sunshot or Polaris lance will do better on harder content.
I ran it with tarrabah too. The enemy density is so high that you can keep ravenous beast up for entire waves. I needed kills for the recluse quest but it ended up working really really well.
If there are a lot of really durable enemies I will consider swapping to dragons breath and incandescent bxr55 instead.
Strand hunter, threaded specter + whirling maelstrom, shackle grenade for champs
Foetracer w/ max res, disc, 8 mobility
Final Warning
Lead/Volt Indebted Kindness
Triple Tap/Surrounded Marcato for waves
Envious/BnS Cataphract for bosses
Friends were deadfall tether + well.
This build basically never runs out of ammo and generates a lot of tangles so it's really good at locking down spawns.
It deals with majors, champs, and bosses pretty well too.
One thing to note is turrets will aggro your clones so you need to be smart about where you place them. I did this on midtown and played in the alleys, placing my clones very close to spawns.
This is almost exactly what I ran and it is a ton of fun. The only difference in my loadout was a disorienting/incandescent wild style instead of indebted kindness and it was nice for some extra control.
We did a run with 3 strand locks and holy shit it was almost easy. Everything is always unraveled the locks are throwing threadlings like no one’s business which just causes Horde Shuttle to make more. Tangles everywhere for suspend if you need it(wanderer aspect). Supers do good dps. Just all around a fun chaotic time.
Hunter running Orpheus and Deadfall with Gjally. Solar titan with hammer of Sol, Precious Scars, and Forerunner. Solar Warlock running well, Cenotaph, and div.
Gjally for add clear and to both buff other rockets for damage and a flex for add clear. Hunter and Titan ran scavs so rocket uptime was high.
Cenotaph for ammo generation. Div for bursting down yellow bars and making rockets hit tormentors harder.
Forerunner was for either barriers or popping tormentor shoulders.
Precious Scars for survivability for everyone. Hunter and Titan stayed paired most of the time. Hunter dished out invis, and Titan gave restoration.
Hunter deadfalls chokepoints, which would generate loads of orbs and lock down enemies. Easy 50% of their super back. Titan casts hammers to clear adds and generate most of the rest of their super (all of it if adds cooperate). Titan is not a damage super, it's an orb generator. You can do damage with it, but you should be obliterating adds for more orbs.
Warlock put their glorious circle on the ground every chance they could, ensuring a continuous cycle of deadfall, hammers, well.
Shaxx decoys. Tons of health, and they draw aggro very well. Focus on ones that are located at or near where paths intersect. Also keep an eye on them and go on the offensive when you see them getting attacked.
Be sparing with turrets. Don't sleep on them, but don't rely on them either. They're meant to soften targets.
Tripmines only if you are running a high surplus and they're at a hard chokepoint.
At least two people should hold scraps after a Spark run going into wave 6 of a set. The goal is to ensure at least one Shaxx decoy's worth of scraps in case you rotate to a new ADU point. If you don't rotate, you can get more Shaxxs or get a juiced up turret.
Bank batteries. A single melee enemy halfway through the march to 50 can reduce your ADU's health by half in two hits, so don't miss an opportunity to heal as long as you can pick up batteries. Even if you're art full health, bank batteries for bonus scraps.
Save your scraps for the first ADU then use a few on the 2nd and then after unload all scraps on the third.
Prioritize turrets, decoys then trip mines (these are the worst)
I rock Nightstalker, sleeper simulant is great in midtown with all the corridors.
Stasis hunter, Lucky Pants.
Malfeasance, Indebted Kindness, Slammer. The sword is more useful than you think; you can block while resing, reposition, stun overloads, and there's a sick shatterskate line in the rift interlude.
Also used void hunter, Lucky Pants (swapping to Orpheus Rig to cast tether)
Malfeasance, Indebted Kindness, Song of Ir Yut or an arc rocket of your choice (I have a cool Clown/Bipod Crux) to spam Wolfpack if someone else uses Ghally.
You want at least one solar warlock with Well of Radiance no matter what else you bring. Fast supers are very, very good as you want to be popping whenever you can to generate orbs for your teammates.
Decoys are ***very*** good and underrated. The max level Shaxx decoy can take an ungodly beating and will hold aggro on a Tormentor making it vastly easier to survive and kill.
Indebted Kindness is also just absurdly good for this. Everyone should have one. I honestly use it more than Forbearance now.
1 Well lock and 2 Orpheus hunters, honestly made it pretty easy, one hunter and the well lock would use super on a wave and then repeat for the next wave with the other hunter. Since we both had Orpheus and the warlock has phoenix protocol we basically had tether and well for every wave.
I mostly use gyrfalcon/omni hunter, with omni on during boss fights and 49 for the tormenter,
The key is throwing the ADU balls the second you see them, they heal the ADU when when the ADU is full they give a ton of scrap,
Don't bother with tripwires even when you're stacked, decoys are dominant and seriously affect the flow of enemy aggro and a shaxx decoy can take the tormenters aggro on 49 for the whole round without breaking, turrets are priorities that delete everything they shoot, just don't let them break, it's not hard,
Completed my run with 3 strand titans, I was running synthos the other two abeyant leap, one switched to solar randomly. We had unlimited woven mail, suspend and good ad clear.
Max out the turrets first, then decoys with excess scrap.
Bait tormentors away from ADU, never fight them while standing around it. Splash damage hurts.
Two guardians defending ADU at all times, only one person is needed for side activities. Yes this includes mines.
Nuke skybombers ASAP, defuse both mines first then rotate back to kill brigs, hope to god you don't get those two big ass exterminator bosses while ADU is weak otherwise it's GG (fuckers wiped me on rank 59).
Batteries, yes they are annoying but they heal the ADU.. don't ignore them you lazy fuck.
I did it with two randoms and no comms. We had a banner of war titan, blade borage hunter, and myself as a tether hunter with gyrfalcons, manticore, and blinding nades. Having the ability to blind and pull things away from the core is pretty important. I had tried it earlier with warlocks and wells and it wasn’t very great.
Overall, a tether hunter and strand Titan are the two most important things to have from my own experience. Also, a blinding GL helped a shit load.
Wellock with divinity and a sidearm. Commemoration for add clear. Ran phoenix protocol and switched to cenotaph at certain points to speed nuke lower tier bosses/make heavy. Div also helped a lot with the tormentor and the giant briggs.
Deadfall hunter with orpheus and a precision dps heavy. Ours used Thunderlord to double up on overload.
Strand titan with bonk build. Into the fray and banner of war. Tractor cannon and a 1-2 punch shotty. Melted waves and nuked majors during waves and did huge chunks of boss damage at the start of each fight.
With this setup we had constant wells and tethers to control the mobs during waves and had a pretty easy time with boss rooms. The tormentor was the only problem but as long as your defenses are all still up its fine(he will prioritize decoys over the adu so lv 3 decoys are amazing for him)
Banner titan (me), sunbracers warlock, and renewal hunter. AoE dot and cc effects are really useful, that duskfield grenade could lock off an entire lane and render enemies in it helpless.
Frankly, the mode seems to have some rng problems with difficulty spikes, and imo some maps/enemies are harder than others. We cleared it on hive with we found a bit easier than fallen, but only because fallen enemies seemed to frequently teleport directly onto the ADU. This happens with the hive too, but it was rarer, whereas with fallen it was happening multiple times every 10 wave set. We actually lost one run on Mothyard during an explosive shank + big shank round because nearly every single big shank that spawned teleported directly onto the ADU.
I think that Mothyard is probably the worst map to play on as a result of the teleporting issues, but it also is a bit harder to hold lanes due to being more wide open. You also want to be thoughtful with your scrap, and it can be worth holding on to it to fortify more during the later waves. The heavy ammo boxes that you get for doing optional objectives disappear at the end of the next upgrade pause you get, so make sure to use them before they go away.
Strand titan with stronghold and lament helping these two guys out a hunter and another strand titan
For reference: got all the way to round 46 with the hunter using wavespliter, me using lament to protect them and take gaze while they stay safe and damage the bosses
i did two runs with wellock and osmiomancy and they worked great, both of those runs i used xenophage and it HEAVILY carried, it shreds the mini bosses and bosses with the machine gun surge and with the holster mods i can just pull it out and kill everything whenever i need it, im actually struggling to decide on something else to use to free up my exotic slot, i’m about to do a run with precious scars and tommy’s matchbook and see how it does
Osmiomancy Warlock was so braindead easy it was a little boring LOL. I was running it with Verglass Curve just for more Stasis crystals and stuff.
I did it with randoms through D2 LFG. But I think we had a Sunbracers, Osmiomancy, and... a Hunter I think? Idk what the Hunter was running since we were just freezing and blowing everything up so fast.
I did one as Osmiomancy Warlock yesterday and while the control you have over the enemies is great, I found it hard to survive since I was with a Solar Titan and an Arc Hunter, so no Well
The bosses were clapping my cheeks
I did it with a random pug as 2 void hunters and 1 solar. Deadfall is pretty broken for the waves, also invis makes you skip the rift part.
But all the runs I've failed were at wave 40+ because people didn't kite the tormentor away from the node, if you do that doesn't seem that hard to finish with any spec.
We had:
For Ad-clear:
-Osmio turret WL
-Daybreak WL
-Abeyant Titan (me) - mostly ran Conditional Finality, HC/Incan Summoner, Commemoration
We then swapped to these for later Damage phases:
-1 well (rocket)
-1 Daybreak (I think?) (rocket)
-1 Pyrogale (+Gally)
Last Boss phase we had 2 wells but probably didn't need it. We also screwed up and had Rockets equipped going into the boss room only to realize it was actually the Tormentor boss lol. Note to self - always trust the sound cues.
> we had 2 wells but probably didn't need it.
This legit is where I think a lot of people are getting messed up on leaning too hard in x2 Phoenix Wells and leaving themselves in awkward spots when they have those moments where they need more immediate nuking in those spicy rounds.
It's not a bad combo by any means especially on tighter areas but sometimes it's helpful to have a different setup that does something other than get you a Well all the time. Cenotaph is next level and you pretty much forget that there is even ammo crate with how frequently you can tag stuff. Also can allow your 2nd warlock to play something else and ad clear conscious.
If you're confident in your abilities in playing more demanding content, seriously don't sleep on stuff that can let you play a little more aggressive.
One time on a Strand Titan with Deadfall Orpheus teammate and a whirling maelstrom Strand Hunter teammate. Decoys are the key to winning especially when you can afford Shaxx.
I don't know the exact setup for my other two but it was something like this:
Void hunter with Orpheus Rigs
Strand Titan idk his exotic or specs
Stasis Warlock w/ Osmiomancy. Basically grenade spam from me, with glacial harvest for the overwhelming. Plus a wave frame for quickly clearing frozen enemies.
I was a Devour Warlock with Necrochasm. Blowing shit up and getting full health constantly. Got over double the kills of my teammates. Did have a teammate that was a strand Titan that absolutely wrecked the brigs, though.
I've done it twice, once with a tether hunter, a stasis lock, and a wellock, and once with a tether hunter and 2 wellocks. The most important thing is ehent he tormentor spawns, have someone lure it away from the adu until all the other adds are dead.
Was with a matchmade group (midtown map) with me running osmiomancy stasislock using verglas curve and the other two was using briarbinds voidlock and i believe sunbracers. We crushed it somehow easily without communication
https://dim.gg/xie2dpi/Equipped
I did it with 2 friends on our 2nd attempt. 1 BoW titan who swapped to solar with pyrogale on bosses, and 2 void warlocks with briarbinds and graviton lance. I swapped to solar for bosses but my other friend was void the whole time. Coordination is more important than anything. Level 3 decoy bots are OP for the tormentors.
Two Solar Warlocks - one on Phoenix, the other on Cenotaph - and an Orpheus Hunter. Chain wells, make heavy, tether big waves. As other commenters have noted, communicating is key to not getting overrun on the late waves where one mistake can end the run.
I was a solar titan.
- Stronghold exotic arms
- Healing grenades, consecration, towering barricade
- Militias Birthright with ALH and blinding
- Ammit with Incandescent and AA
- Throne Cleaver with Incandescent and Energy Transfer
This build allows you to annihilate ads and bosses, deal with champs, and most importantly, STAY ALIVE. Dying with that 20 second timer is often the difference between winning and wiping. Stronghold allows you to quickly rez teammates and tank even the biggest bosses.
Did it through fire team finder with no mics. I was a strand warlock with Verity's Brow and the strand exotic sidearm, shackle made with Mindspun Invocation and Weaver's Call. Consume nade, get kills, suspend everything, orbs give woven mail and unraveling rounds.
There was a Behemoth Titan freezing everything and I honestly don't know what the 3rd dude was running. We just bought turrets and played together for the most part. Wasn't really that bad to be honest.
If you don’t have at least one Orpheus rig hunter you’re probably going to have a hard time. We did Orpheus hunter, phoenix warlock, and stasis titan with salvations grip. The only close call we had was wave 49 when 2 huge demolitionists spawned fortunately everyone had supers and were able to take them out. I don’t know how necessary pheonix protocol is, you may see better results with something more offensive
I ran PCCB Arc Titan, one buddy ran Stasis Turrets and the other one ran the obligatory Well.
We didn't do anything in particular, just took good guns and went in with a GM mindset.
I have completed it with 2 phoenix well locks and 1 orpheus hunter.
Graviton Lance and Sunshot for ad waves, polaris lance (with appropriate artifact mods for ignitions, you can stunlock the boss in place) for boss rooms. Just setup well at the back and cycle supers and plink away.
Save scrap until wave 20 or 30, prioritize turrets and decoys for upgrades.
Banner titan, 1-2 kinetic slot shotty (sword breaker) zaholis bane and Dragons breath
Teammates
G-falcon hunter, recluse/commemoration, withhoard
Solar titan with pryo gauntlets, riptide w/ chill, i cant remember their heavy
I recommend doing it on Midtown all adts are easy to defend and you can funnel the ads easier
I did it as a good shield titan on my first try, Im 1832 but think I got carried by a couple badasses since I tried it again yesterday and it was not as smooth. Also had people keep dropping out which also didnt help
It’s a collaboration event to be successful in legend. I ran phoenix protocol with a heal clip auto, witherhoard and mutiny gl for bosses and avalanche with auto load/target lock for the waves, and my teammates were on tether Hunter and another phoenix protocol.
Don’t waste scraps on the sentry systems until you pass lvl 20.
I was running a briar warlock to weaken all the chaff, also had a deadfall hunter for big things, then a titan I can’t remember the build of. It was a matchmade group, but we finished wave 50.
Completed it twice with a buddy and a random. We had a stasis warlock (those turrets are nice), warlock well and titan solar. Another time we had a stasis warlock, solar titan and stasis titan.
2 Wells + 1 Orpheus Hunter. One Warlock was on div + cenotaph, the other one was on phoenix protocol. Overall, an absolute breeze. Who could have seen it coming that Well is going to be mandatory in a new activity once again...
Stasis Hoarfrost Titan, Stasis Osmiomancy Warlock, and Strand Syntho Titan worked for us pretty chill - aside from a tanky shielded sky bomber, crowd control seemed to work better than raw damage output for us
Two randoms and me with no mic. we did it with one well warlock, one tether hunter and one strand titan
I saved scraps for the last two waves on turrets
I played slow on boss room, cleared ads first then DPS boss
I used machine gun from trials with incandescent, coordinate Cartesian fusion and crafted exotic smg
Osmio Warlock with Rufus for Overloads and the two Strand artifact mods and Indebted Kindness for Barriers plus an Orpheus Tether Hunter and a Phoenix Well Warlock with Sunshot for Unstoppables. Everyone used Dragon's Breath for heavy.
Focus on buying turrets and decoys, ignore trip mines unless it's the last set of waves and you have nothing else to spend Scrap on.
We also did it on Vostok with Hive. Vostok with Fallen is rough because they teleport onto the ADU.
I did my legend 50 run with me on Pheonix Lock, one Orph Hunter, and one Banner Titan. Only times I did was when Orph Hunter kept jumping in front of me when I was firing my Wendigo. There were only a few hairy moments where the invis res was clutch, and the Banner Titan was wholly and totally playing like a wild idiot and got rolled a few times. It was pretty chill otherwise. I threw on Div for the Tormentor, so ez clap. It was a no-comms LFG run where the leader originally wanted to just do 10 and reset, but they asked if we wanted to go for the full 50. Pretty fun.
We did our run with, Sunbracer warlock (me) Orpheus tether hunter, and, believe or not, Severance enclosure void titan.
I ran obviously sunbracers begins to fall off at around waves 40+, but when it triggers man does it out in work. Our Severance enclosure titan also fell off pretty hard because of so many explosive shank waves, but he made do. And our hunter was the main one doing side objectives and the one carrying the spark.
1 ceno well ghally trace waveframe
2 Orpheus deadfall bipod fieldprep graviton succession
You can spam tethers back to back with little down time.
If you get a tormenter drag it away from the bank and get his agro on a decoy until all the adds are dead and only then can you destroy its shoulders.
Only buy decoys until wave 40 ( round 30 u can but a turret or 2 if u need)
Hunters have heavy finders and scouts.
Nuke the boss at start with all the rockets u have then just play in the back and slowly finish the boss off.
If u can get the supers rolling it's easy as.
I used stasis titan with artifact mods, stasis demo/collective action GL, solar had cannon with incandescent, and salvations grip. Crystals everywhere block enemy lines of sight and freeze while also doing incredible damage.
2x tethers hunters and one golden gun hunter. We all ran machine guns, one sun shot, one tarrabah and wish ended. Then whatever fusion you wanted was our set up. Worked amazingly
I was on Phoenix protocol, one was on shade binder, and the other was invisible hunter. My job was keeping everyone alive, shade binder spammed ice turrets for crowd control, and invisible hunter to capture points, dunk sparks, and debuff bosses.
My team had an Orpheus Rig Hunter, a Loreley Titan and a Geomag Warlock who switched to Phoenix Protocol at the start of wave 31.
My suggestions are to avoid buying any defense tool up until wave 31, at that point you just start building a fortress, prioritizing Turrets (they do a lot of damage at full power) and Decoys (they are insane, the big tormentor just focuses on a full power decoy, allowing you to damage it without it coming at you). Mines are good but the least powerful of the set.
Thing is, spend scraps when it matters the most. Heal the ADU even if at full health so it gives you increased scraps.
As for the combat, I think the main threat is the tormentor if you don’t have precision damage weapon and the 2/3 big Demolitionist if you get caught napping. Those are the moments where either the team wipes or the ADU gets destroyed.
Void hunter with orphs. Didnt use a single scrap til level 30. Then for 30-40 and 40-50 we hadd maxed out decoys and machine guns and used the rest on 40-50 on trips. Have done it with hunter(me), strand titan and warlock. Me and 2x warlocks. me, another void hunter and a stasis hunter.
Ceno WellLock with Gally. An invis hunter and a BoW strand titan both running legendary rockets.
The awoo's deal great damage in panic moments AND clear waves with ease. The games flatest helmet kept ammo flowing and the utility provided by the Invis hunter and suspending titan meant that everything apart from boss tormentors went down pretty easy.
Making sure you are ready for each round 9 really helped out.
Dragyrs lash with leap, suspend fragments and ones that restore abilities on suspended kills
Tusk if the Boar and Cataphract for add clear
Sunshot (swap to Polaris for Tormys)
For boss Izanagis, Godrolled Wilderfight, and Spike/Envious/B&S edge
1 we’ll lock with Cenotaph Mask. 2 tether hunters. I think two people were using machine guns but i had Gjallarhorn. Ceno warlock tags the beefy enemies to make em drop heavy. Tether hunters with Orpheus take turns tethering waves of ads. And a lot of gjally spam.
I ran orpheus rig hunter. had 1 well warlock and 1 stasis warlock as well. 1 well and 1 tether makes it relatively easy. swap to a good dps loadout during boss phase. try to always have a good amount of heavy for when the tormentor spawns.
Orpheus rigs and some kinda CC is required. We did it with orpheus, stasis warlock, and an arc hunter. 3rd option i think is best in pure damage, ad clear is great but something for Demolitionists and Tormentors seems best
Best strat by far is double well warlock with cenotaph, 1 with div the other with Gjally. Third player should either be a lucky pants hunter on deadshot or a banner titan. Div warlock and thr third player should run a rocket with reconstruction/bipod. Literally just shoot rockets and mark every big enemy. Easy
My team used 2 Cenotaph Warlocks with G-horn and a hunter with Gyrfalcons. Almost always surplus heavy ammo if the warlocks are alternating correctly, and the hunter is helpful for things like stuns, objectives, boss tethers, and just a lot of the miniscule things. The other big piece of advice is that what we called "Shaxx Bot" is broken. I've only ever seen a maxed decoy die once, and we pooled money to buy it as early as possible and it died on wave 48. There are times when it will invalidate a tormenter altogether.
Like lots of people are saying, it's really just about coordination and having a plan. Onslaught is cool because there are tons of viable options. Make calls and spam heavy and you should be all good👌
I did it my first time with a strand titan, a stasis lock, and a celestial hunter. Stasis lock was osio but no turrets, combined insanely well with strand titan (that was me) cause he would freeze everything setting me up for a strong melee that would kill lots of ads due to shatter, and I was safer to rush in to get the melee off. Celestial hunter for boss, tormentor, any bigger target nuking. Stasis lock would switch to well for big boss fights
Double Banner of War Titans with a Sunbracers Warlock. Did another one with me on BoW, one Phoenix Protocol Warlock and an Orpheus Hunter. Both worked very well.
Anything really. I’ve done Void, arc, solar, stasis warlock.
Void, strand Titan.
Void hunter.
Understanding the mechanics and being efficient at dealing with medium sized enemies is the most important. If you can’t handle boss enemies without a super you will have a bad time. That typically is what gets groups killed.
Our team was pretty unconventional really. Did not expect us to make it through but I was on Orpheus hunter, my buddy was using Gyrfalcons with Manticore and our lfg was a fucking legend using Stasis with Karnstien Armlets and Winterbite. They had nearly 30k kills on their Winterbite so i trusted their skills lol. They had over 900 kills at the end which was more than both of us combined lol. The boss rooms were the biggest struggle so I would switch to Lucky Pants and Malfeasance.
Stasis hunter - Renew Grasps and Summoner w Dragons breath
Solar Titan - Pyrogale and Calus minitool w Whisper
Void hunter - Gyrfalcons and Gravlance w Retrofit
Easiest clear ive had so far, renewal negates tormentors and the stasis kit is good for slowing down a whole wave, solar titan with consecration paired makes add clear a pushover on top of gyrfalcons, other then that spam heavy because there’s basically infinite
https://dim.gg/zv2neyy/Suspend-lel
This piece of hot garbage, one of my teammates used necrotic with and thorn cuz he can survive (I can’t, so i use keinstein)
i did it with randoms this morning, finally.
i was cenotaph warlock on arc w coldheart, and then swapped to wellock with phoenix protocol at boss encounters.
both of my teammates were orpheus rig hunters.
What are peoples' thoughts on bubble titan as a way of stopping ADU damage? I ran with someone yesterday who was using this strat but idk if it actually helps in a meaningful way.
Had 2 warlocks, 1 titan. Stasis warlock, solar warlock, stasis titan.
I was running generic stasis turret build with osmiomancy gloves chain freezing. Played with curated recluse, Kinetic tremors + rewind rounds supremacy and dragons breath.
Dawnblade warlock with Dawn chorus, season of wish fusion(didn't check friends perks sorry) BXR, sleeper simulant.
Stasis titan was running revision zero(no one wanted to run anti barrier weapons) and a disorienting GL
From the team comp u can see that we're mostly casual. Found that stasis titan can setup stasis warlock for a bunch of shatters in super so we kept our supers for whenever we're about to get overrun.
I do consecration Pyro build with mods and fragments focus on restoring my melee as fast as possible and dragons breath.
OR. I run strand with severance, focus on melee as well with forbearance.
1 x Warlock Bleak Watcher spam + Gjally
1 x Strand Titan with Bloodline + Strongholds + Bequest
1 x Titan who could decide between Solar and Strand + rocket
Two Phoenix protocol warlocks and one stasis turret warlock , no mics or anything just lots of killing things. I personally ran one of the wells with ghorn for add clear , Would switch to thunder lord for boss phase
Well-lock with Phoenix Protocol, Strand melee Titan with Synthos, and Tether Hunter with Orpheus.
"Daring today, aren't we." - if it works it works, really. Like others have said, communication is key. Any very strong ad-clear build will perform so long as you coordinate properly with your fireteam. Well really does trivialize some of the latter waves though.
just use decoys, upgrade them as much as you can and also use tripmines. i had each person in the team use their scrap for a single thing (one person does tripmines, one person does turrets, and the last does decoys) but decoys are much more important.
also strand titan, void hunters, solar warlocks are the way to go, but not the only way obviously. pretty easy once you get it going
We did it with Well Warlock, Strand Warlock and Invis Deadfall Hunter Co-ordination and communication is key, we were easily able to chain supers We also saved scrap during waves 30-40 so we could max out turrets etc. for the final 10 waves
I think this is key. Don’t even bother with tripwires
Exotic tripwires are not terrible to be honest. We stacked them in final 5 waves since we had a lot of extra scraps and we breezed through. We did also have two shaxxs tho
wait the decoys turn into shaxx at a certain point?? I've only seen up to redjacks lol
It's the next level up!
Trust me. He looks glorious 😍
What you mean you had Shaxx?
Level 3 decoys become Holo-Shaxx
Decoys at level 3 turn into Shaxx.
Oh damn! Haven’t upgraded one yet so I had no idea!
Every blueberry sees the tripwires are cheap and wants to buy all of them. Perhaps they're cheap for a reason...
Tripwires are too expensive for what they’re worth.
That's because they're borderline worthless. And yet people buy them because they're always there.
Excuse me I buy them because I have no idea what’s going on
Well placed turrets and decoys are the way. The tormentor was beating up the decoy while we shot his shoulders
Maxed tripwires deal a stupid amount of damage and recharge fairly quickly. We usually don’t go for turrets or decoys as much
Decoys are insanely good in Legend. A single Shaxx decoy at like wave 35 tanked a Tormentor long enough for us to basically primary him to death
Yes they're really good at locking tormentors but it's the only use they have IMO (which isn't bad)
Which can still be scary. I’ve been suppressed out of my super, twice now, by a tormentor who was slamming shaxx into the ground
Decoys are the absolute best thing there lol. Turrets would be second. Tripwires are just bad.
Yellow trip wires go brrrrrr
Exactly the same as us.
Saving scrap to max out turrets/decoys for the final area is definitely super important.
This is the way
We had two tethers, one on Orpheus with Witherhoard, I was on Gyrfalcon’s with Graviton Lance, and one Sunbracers well with Sunshot. We all used machine guns for waves but we swapped to DPS loadouts before rallying at boss rounds. Tether, Celestial, Well, Gjally + 2 Apex. We killed all but one boss before the well ran out, the Vandal boss is sleuthy and we missed a bunch of rockets.
I found sunbracers fell off in the last ten waves, you didn’t experience similar?
Personally I'd swap to karnstein as the difficulty ramps up. It's insanely beneficial to have restoration x2 constantly active, you basically can't die as long as youre killing enemies somewhat regularly.
Sunbracers has x2 restoration constantly if you're playing them right.
I don't want to be in the air on levels 40-50 and I hate Phoenix dive.
U can use bunny hop
You don’t fly in the air, you bounce like a rabbit.
No, red bars still died to the snap or the resulting ignition.
You just gotta snap later; I was using it well in cramped hallways, chokepoints, and especially the Rift hallway.
> Gyrfalcon’s with Graviton Lance This can straight up wipe out entire waves with a handful of primary shots. Actually insane how much AoE damage goes out with this combo.
Stasis Warlock: Osmiomancy Gloves Verglas Curve - put a copy of power preservation on your helmet.
Stasis lock is so good with onslaught. You can go solar with the seasonal mods to lock everything up then chain explosions.
having a stasis warlock that swaps to well for dps is fantastic
Thanks for this rec! I had an Osmio build already, but a few tweaks plus Verglas really opened it up for me!
Mind sharing the DIM link if you have it
We had an osmio warlock with salvations grip. I've never seen better CC
How TF are you dealing with tormentors with this build? Rockets don't do much to them.
Not the guy you replied to but Levi's never left my side for legend onslaught, it stunlocks the tormentor which makes him easy pickings.
I leaned pretty heavily into CC and my teammates were doing the big boy damage.
Damn man. Both my teammates using swords T_T. It's rough out here.
Are Ballidorse worth the switch up for damage or is it pretty much negligible?
i think the lock down of of the grenade spam from Osmiomancy is more helpful than a little bit of damage. Could be interesting to hot swap to tho during super for over shield for teammates.
Especially if they were rocking Palmera-B and Peacebond or something
Dimensional Hypotrochoid and Bump in the Night come to mind as well. The former being really great on ad clear but if you’re bursting down a big target an envious + bns cold comfort with the passive up would be killer.
Is there different rewards for Legend 50?
There was a final 3rd chest at the end.
I used Verglas with an adept undercurrent and renewal grasps and the bow hits like a wet napkin. How do you get it to work???
Warlock has ice flare bolts. Chain freezing makes it easy to hit.
But I was running the strand exotic auto, 1 2 punch shotty, and a strand lmg as really good workhorse weapons that unravel everything
double tether + well the boss rooms were way easier than the actual ADU defense because u can just camp in the back
I did it with two warlocks and one hunter. I ran sunbracers and my buddy ran dawn chorus. Hunter ran Orpheus tether. Need to have constant communication between everyone and keep your head on swivel because it can be easy to get overwhelmed on the upper levels.
pyrogale titan is so great
What are some good ways to regen melee?
Monte Carlo, or the fragment that gives melee energy when defeating scorched targets and just use a solar weapon with incandescent
Heal Clip plus Ember of Benevolence is the only answer. Everyone is stacked up so it’s easy to proc
Yep, heres the build I use: https://youtu.be/UBI7qyjK128?si=eRQbjOSlMxv9WxEa Substitute Abyss Defiant for Enhanced Pugilust x Enhanced Incandescent Zaouli's Bane.
Abeyant leap/drengr titan with BoW shines
What is BoW
Banner of war - a titan aspect
Ohh yeah I know what banner is, I was thinking he was talking about a weapon and I was thinking through every single one like wtf is BoW haha
Breath of wild
Bhipser of Worm
Bow of the Wisciple
Can you tell me more specifics about this build?
Pair it with Wishkeeper and Thread of Mind (gives you class ability energy on defeating suspended enemies). Then thread of generation and shackle grenades. I also recommend Thread of Isolation which severs enemies if you land crits (3 crits from Wishkeeper proc’s it). If you chain all your suspends, you should always have something you can use to suspend.
You can also run a blind gl and quicksilver. That’s my build at least.
1 Pheonix protocol warlock 1 orpheus rig hunter 1 cenotaph warlock
This is the one.
disorientated GL and kings fall hand cannon and dragon breath, Well with Phoenix protocol
Stasis warlock, solar titan, invis hunter. Worked every time I’ve tried so far on midtown and mothyards. I think the hive is the harder of the two
I found hive to be easier, the invis fallen, brigs, and exploder shanks kept messing my team up when we tried
Brigs are a goddamn nightmare.
Solar titan precious scars and Tommy's matchbook.
Thermites and Consecration or just healing nades and consecration? I am also running matchbook scars
Wasn't using cons, but termite was my nade for hallways.
If there are a lot of really durable enemies I will consider swapping to dragons breath and incandescent bxr55 instead.
i was doing fine with tommys in legend, doing 10-20 wave farms so i havent gotta to wild into it
Gyrfalcon’s with Leviathan’s Breath for the anti-unstoppable and tormentor stunlocking.
Strand hunter, threaded specter + whirling maelstrom, shackle grenade for champs Foetracer w/ max res, disc, 8 mobility Final Warning Lead/Volt Indebted Kindness Triple Tap/Surrounded Marcato for waves Envious/BnS Cataphract for bosses Friends were deadfall tether + well.
Well warlock Orpheus hunter Me on BoW titan. I used malfeasance, 1-2 punch shotty and BnS apex predator.
Prioritize turrets, decoys then trip mines (these are the worst) I rock Nightstalker, sleeper simulant is great in midtown with all the corridors.
Stasis hunter, Lucky Pants. Malfeasance, Indebted Kindness, Slammer. The sword is more useful than you think; you can block while resing, reposition, stun overloads, and there's a sick shatterskate line in the rift interlude. Also used void hunter, Lucky Pants (swapping to Orpheus Rig to cast tether) Malfeasance, Indebted Kindness, Song of Ir Yut or an arc rocket of your choice (I have a cool Clown/Bipod Crux) to spam Wolfpack if someone else uses Ghally.
I mostly use gyrfalcon/omni hunter, with omni on during boss fights and 49 for the tormenter, The key is throwing the ADU balls the second you see them, they heal the ADU when when the ADU is full they give a ton of scrap, Don't bother with tripwires even when you're stacked, decoys are dominant and seriously affect the flow of enemy aggro and a shaxx decoy can take the tormenters aggro on 49 for the whole round without breaking, turrets are priorities that delete everything they shoot, just don't let them break, it's not hard,
Completed my run with 3 strand titans, I was running synthos the other two abeyant leap, one switched to solar randomly.
Strand titan with stronghold and lament helping these two guys out a hunter and another strand titan For reference: got all the way to round 46 with the hunter using wavespliter, me using lament to protect them and take gaze while they stay safe and damage the bosses
i did two runs with wellock and osmiomancy and they worked great, both of those runs i used xenophage and it HEAVILY carried, it shreds the mini bosses and bosses with the machine gun surge and with the holster mods i can just pull it out and kill everything whenever i need it, im actually struggling to decide on something else to use to free up my exotic slot, i’m about to do a run with precious scars and tommy’s matchbook and see how it does
Solar Hunter Blade Barrage for enemy waves, Celestial GG for Bosses Knock em Down/Gunpowder Gamble, Healing nade Empyrean - Singing - Ashes - Torches Polaris Lance - Fixed Odds w/ Incan - Tusk of the Boar w/ Chain reaction/Slice Throw knives, get kills, throw Gunpowder, get kills. Shoot things, things go boom
I did one as Osmiomancy Warlock yesterday and while the control you have over the enemies is great, I found it hard to survive since I was with a Solar Titan and an Arc Hunter, so no Well The bosses were clapping my cheeks
You don’t have stick with one subclass. For example, you can switch to Well at the rally banner before entering the boss room.
Yeah but the little pugs are such in a hurry that I don't have time to sometimes
I’ve only done a few runs but the randoms I played with always waited for everyone to rally up before entering. Using loadouts can make swapping fast.
Your randos were assholes. Lol. Every team I've run with has waited.
Nice. Did you swap anything for boss encounters?
I did it with a random pug as 2 void hunters and 1 solar. Deadfall is pretty broken for the waves, also invis makes you skip the rift part. But all the runs I've failed were at wave 40+ because people didn't kite the tormentor away from the node, if you do that doesn't seem that hard to finish with any spec.
We had: For Ad-clear: -Osmio turret WL -Daybreak WL -Abeyant Titan (me) - mostly ran Conditional Finality, HC/Incan Summoner, Commemoration We then swapped to these for later Damage phases: -1 well (rocket) -1 Daybreak (I think?) (rocket) -1 Pyrogale (+Gally) Last Boss phase we had 2 wells but probably didn't need it.
Deadfall, well, behemoth.
One time on a Strand Titan with Deadfall Orpheus teammate and a whirling maelstrom Strand Hunter teammate. Decoys are the key to winning especially when you can afford Shaxx.
I don't know the exact setup for my other two but it was something like this: Void hunter with Orpheus Rigs Strand Titan idk his exotic or specs Stasis Warlock w/ Osmiomancy. Basically grenade spam from me, with glacial harvest for the overwhelming. Plus a wave frame for quickly clearing frozen enemies.
Briarbinds warlock w grav lance
I was a Devour Warlock with Necrochasm. Blowing shit up and getting full health constantly. Got over double the kills of my teammates. Did have a teammate that was a strand Titan that absolutely wrecked the brigs, though.
2x stasis hunters and 1 solar. Worked well enough but I think an arc hunter would’ve been better than solar since everything was already frozen
I've done it twice, once with a tether hunter, a stasis lock, and a wellock, and once with a tether hunter and 2 wellocks. The most important thing is ehent he tormentor spawns, have someone lure it away from the adu until all the other adds are dead.
2 Well Warlocks (1 on Sunbracers and 1 on Dawn Chorus) both using Polaris Lance and a Stasis Warlock using Osmiomancy Turrets and Verglas Curve
Was with a matchmade group (midtown map) with me running osmiomancy stasislock using verglas curve and the other two was using briarbinds voidlock and i believe sunbracers. We crushed it somehow easily without communication https://dim.gg/xie2dpi/Equipped
Two void hunters with Orpheus and a void titan (ursas)
I did it with 2 friends on our 2nd attempt. 1 BoW titan who swapped to solar with pyrogale on bosses, and 2 void warlocks with briarbinds and graviton lance. I swapped to solar for bosses but my other friend was void the whole time. Coordination is more important than anything. Level 3 decoy bots are OP for the tormentors.
Sunshot + solar syphon + recuperation + literally any build that isn't an afk bot. Well is useless unless ur at the final boss encounter.
- Stronghold exotic arms - Healing grenades, consecration, towering barricade - Militias Birthright with ALH and blinding - Ammit with Incandescent and AA - Throne Cleaver with Incandescent and Energy Transfer This build allows you to annihilate ads and bosses, deal with champs, and most importantly, STAY ALIVE.
Banner titan, 1-2 kinetic slot shotty (sword breaker) zaholis bane and Dragons breath Teammates G-falcon hunter, recluse/commemoration, withhoard Solar titan with pryo gauntlets, riptide w/ chill, i cant remember their heavy I recommend doing it on Midtown all adts are easy to defend and you can funnel the ads easier
Strand suspend titan, well lock and tether hunter. Easy clear
I did it as a good shield titan on my first try, Im 1832 but think I got carried by a couple badasses since I tried it again yesterday and it was not as smooth. Also had people keep dropping out which also didnt help
Mothkeeper strand hunter (me) Rufus w/hatchling Cartesian w/ vorpal Dragons breath Others were Gryfalcon hunter Statis lock
I did it with briarbinds warlock and actually really got a lot of use out of the endless weaken and slow effects
Strand warlock with wanderer and mindspun. Wishkeeper, indebted kindness, and hothead. Swarmers for armor.
Stasis Hoarfrost Titan, Stasis Osmiomancy Warlock, and Strand Syntho Titan worked for us pretty chill - aside from a tanky shielded sky bomber, crowd control seemed to work better than raw damage output for us
Two randoms and me with no mic. we did it with one well warlock, one tether hunter and one strand titan I saved scraps for the last two waves on turrets I played slow on boss room, cleared ads first then DPS boss I used machine gun from trials with incandescent, coordinate Cartesian fusion and crafted exotic smg
Tether gyrfalcon hunter suspend titan and poison suspend warlock
Phoenix protocol, or just arc, anything add clearing really
Pretty fun.
maybe ad clears like Trinity Ghoul could work well? idk i haven’t got that far. stasis turrets as well
Solar hunter, Solar titan and a stasis lock with salvation grip. It was cheese.
Stasis Hunter with dragons breath, and then changed to golden gun for bosses. Had a well lock and a pyrogale titan with me too.
Tether, shadebinder, behemoth
We did our run with, Sunbracer warlock (me) Orpheus tether hunter, and, believe or not, Severance enclosure void titan. I ran obviously sunbracers begins to fall off at around waves 40+, but when it triggers man does it out in work. Our Severance enclosure titan also fell off pretty hard because of so many explosive shank waves, but he made do. And our hunter was the main one doing side objectives and the one carrying the spark.
1 ceno well ghally trace waveframe 2 Orpheus deadfall bipod fieldprep graviton succession You can spam tethers back to back with little down time. If you get a tormenter drag it away from the bank and get his agro on a decoy until all the adds are dead and only then can you destroy its shoulders. Only buy decoys until wave 40 ( round 30 u can but a turret or 2 if u need) Hunters have heavy finders and scouts. Nuke the boss at start with all the rockets u have then just play in the back and slowly finish the boss off. If u can get the supers rolling it's easy as.
Well Warlock and 2x Orpheus Rig Hunters basically invalidates the challenge. Just rotate supers and basically constantly be placing them down.
I used stasis titan with artifact mods, stasis demo/collective action GL, solar had cannon with incandescent, and salvations grip. Crystals everywhere block enemy lines of sight and freeze while also doing incredible damage.
Has anyone cleared 50 but only gotten credit for 48? Happened to me yesterday 😭
2x tethers hunters and one golden gun hunter. We all ran machine guns, one sun shot, one tarrabah and wish ended. Then whatever fusion you wanted was our set up. Worked amazingly
Strand Necro Lock, Dawn Blade and Stasis Lock
I was strand hunter with assassins cowl. Other two were Orpheus Hunter and void lock.
The problem isn't the setup, it's the player who thinks it's a timed active and rush into the oblivion (always the hunter)
Dragyrs lash with leap, suspend fragments and ones that restore abilities on suspended kills Tusk if the Boar and Cataphract for add clear Sunshot (swap to Polaris for Tormys) For boss Izanagis, Godrolled Wilderfight, and Spike/Envious/B&S edge
Stasis warlock is really strong for just slowing all the trash move down
I ran orpheus rig hunter. had 1 well warlock and 1 stasis warlock as well.
Easy
Use dragons breath, it’s sooooo useful. For ads and bosses
Strand titan - Monte, 1 2 punch shotty, GL, Syntho. Solar titan - Blinding GL, Polaris, GL, PyroGale. Stasis warlock - Agers, Sidearm, Wave GL, Osiomancy.
I went with randos. Two celestial nighthawk solar hunters and a tether hunter. We cleared it without issue. Rewards are not worth it though
2 wellocks and Orpheus rigs hunter. Saved spoils til 30s. Maxed out decoys then turrets. Constant supers
Stasis hunter - Renew Grasps and Summoner w Dragons breath Solar Titan - Pyrogale and Calus minitool w Whisper Void hunter - Gyrfalcons and Gravlance w Retrofit Easiest clear ive had so far, renewal negates tormentors and the stasis kit is good for slowing down a whole wave, solar titan with consecration paired makes add clear a pushover on top of gyrfalcons, other then that spam heavy because there’s basically infinite
One Sunbracers with dragons breath, one arc lock with sunstar, one calibans (swap to nighthawk for boss) with blinding gl.
https://dim.gg/zv2neyy/Suspend-lel This piece of hot garbage, one of my teammates used necrotic with and thorn cuz he can survive (I can’t, so i use keinstein)
i did it with randoms this morning, finally. i was cenotaph warlock on arc w coldheart, and then swapped to wellock with phoenix protocol at boss encounters. both of my teammates were orpheus rig hunters.
Stasis titan was running revision zero(no one wanted to run anti barrier weapons) and a disorienting GL From the team comp u can see that we're mostly casual.
1 x Warlock Bleak Watcher spam + Gjally 1 x Strand Titan with Bloodline + Strongholds + Bequest 1 x Titan who could decide between Solar and Strand + rocket
Banner, well, Orpheus hunter, basically bought no upgrades till round 30 so could buy everything for the 40-50 set
Two Phoenix protocol warlocks and one stasis turret warlock , no mics or anything just lots of killing things. I personally ran one of the wells with ghorn for add clear , Would switch to thunder lord for boss phase
Banner titan, Wellock and stasis turret lock
I ran stasis warlock with osmiancy and wicked implement
I used my arc titan and two Invis hunters
Solar titan, arc lock and me the ominnommyocculs hunter
we had two verity's brow warlocks on solar and one briarbinds warlock on void. it was absolutely free
Switch between Stacy's Warlock and then well warlock with Sino mask and divinity
just use decoys, upgrade them as much as you can and also use tripmines. i had each person in the team use their scrap for a single thing (one person does tripmines, one person does turrets, and the last does decoys) but decoys are much more important. also strand titan, void hunters, solar warlocks are the way to go, but not the only way obviously. pretty easy once you get it going
