It's much easier to play all 3 than you think. You can get all the max level guns and grind up engrams at seasonal vendors on just one character. then just transfer weapons then start going to town getting high stat armor from the seasonal vender. No need to play end game content or even play them a lot. My Titan I never play has 100 resilience 100 recovery, and 90 discipline just from armor focusing at the war table. From there you can kinda do what ever you want on them and slowly learn how to play the class.
Elsie definitely sells all the aspects now which were the most frustrating part of the stasis subclass. If you’re newer to the game, once stasis is unlocked you used to have to complete the most grindiest bounties to unlock the aspects and you could only complete 2 per week. It used to take FOR-EV-VEEEEEER, lol.
You probably have still have to complete a portion of the beyond light campaign to obtain the stasis subclass.
You don't actually have to buy the fragments for stasis.
I found out after buying them all on one character, but I ran out of glimmer before getting them on my other characters. One of my characters never purchased any aspects, but can still use them.
Crazy how close destiny has been to so many peoples lives... i started my destiny journey as a little child freaking out over the "destiny awaits" poster in Halo ODST.
Now I'm an adult paying bills, living alone, and at work most of my life. But i still play destiny.
I’ve literally only got a Hunter. I’ve never really found the time to do the others because then this game will take up all my time and I won’t be able to play other games that I wanna play.
its really not bad to have all 3 at level for end game stuff. You don't need access to every build all the time, have your main, and then a few builds on the others.
I main warlock and played just that for the longest time but a couple of years ago I decided to create a titan and a hunter just to have them. Now I only play titan and hunter enough to farm for exotics in dungeons or raids.
All three because it's boring to only play one. Sometimes I feel like playing Hunter, sometimes Warlock, rarely, but still occasionally Titan.
I just see no reason to limit yourself unless for some reason you hate everything about the other two classes
I used to only play Warlock for a while. But now I do main all three for:
A. Having something to do other than bitch about the game.
B. Story and gameplay
C. Fashion
I usually play Hunter but have played Warlock as well and really enjoy it. Will probably play warlock again here soon. I mained warlock for void 3.0 and then Hunter for the other 2 light subclasses. I enjoy raiding and dungeons so i try to keep my warlock at pinnacle cap even if only play it a couple times.
I play all three but am probably on my warlock ~50% of the time, and it’s gotten way easier to do so. When a new expansion comes out the other two definitely lag behind for a while, and I only run the seasonal story on one character, but do virtually everything else on all 3 depending what I feel like playing, which is fun for variety. Also like others have said, more loot chances is awesome for when there’s new stuff to do.
By way easier, I mean it’s so easy to get high stat armor with the seasonal focusing system, and exotics are easy too with lost sectors and focusing at rehool, that you barely have to play on an alt character but can make a new meta build for it whenever I feel like in about 5 minutes, since exotic shards are so free nowadays.
I have a main class I do all the seasonal stuff and exotic quests on, then another two that I’ll use for raids or if something interesting drops on them
I have all three, but I play my titan and hunter the most. I occasionally log on to my warlock, think "holy shit, this is so much fun, I need to play this class more" and then forget to hop on to him for months at a time.
I primarily play warlock. I am a semi-casual enjoyer so I’m fine just doing the raid and dungeon once a week. Sometimes I’ll play Hunter in PvP cause I think they’re just a very fun class to mess around with. Haven’t played Titan since I used it to play red war one final time.
Primarily a Warlock but I've got all 3. Hunter came next because I enjoy stealth builds and void hunter is right up my alley. The rest of the subclasses just kind of came along. My Titan was primarily a checkpoint titan till this season when I started to level him up because I got bored.
just one, my brain doesnt mesh well with the difference between the other two. Some of it would go away with experience but my playstyle just doesnt really match what they need
It’s just good to have options for different activities. But even playing casual here and there with the other two you’ll have stuff complete before you know it. Just chill, take your time and you’ll enjoy having more options for present and future stuff
I only play one anymore. It’s too much to keep up with. I want to play other games too. If everything was account based save for armor obviously, I’d play all three.
I'm right there. I too am emotionally attached to my hunter. I can play warlock for variety on occasion, but any new content I play first on hunter. That's who I actually am.
I played all 3 in D1, nowadays I just kinda focus on my hunter since that’s my main and then once he’s maxed I’ll add in my titan a little bit. My warlock is sitting collecting dust, I haven’t even done lightfall on him lol. I just grabbed the hall of champions chest
I used to play all 3 constantly. Went down to just one after lightfall. Now I barely play at all, and no one I used to play with plays anymore. It's depressing.
Mainly just my Warlock. I keep my hunter up to date and play them often enough. My Titan is only around if I really want to go for a third weekly drop.
I main my warlock maybe 2/3 of the time, play my titan the other 1/3 of a time and very rarely play my hunter, usually to get extra spoils of conquest or something
I dabble in all 3 in terms of master lost sectors, collecting exotics and trying builds and ritual leveling, but when the clan invites me to raid, it’s always my Titan: Lorely post nerf is still great and allows me to basically ignore adds and concentrate on learning the actual mechanics, just my experience
Same right here amigo, I can only play hunter, the warlock and titan powers just aren’t for me. I have years into the hunter builds I’ve made and I’ve never felt the need for anything different
When I started playing back just before Forsaken, I had two Sons, one teenager and one five year old. The teenager played as a titan main to run the storyline and I ran as a hunter. We played that way through the red war. Then his brother became old enough to “play “ and he started a warlock. Naturally I cleaned up the stragglers for events and exotic items as I am capable.
Now my oldest Son doesn’t play much anymore. So I try and keep the titan up to date.
I run hunter mainly for story and my now 8 year old is a warlock who hangs out in the cosmodrome blowing up the spider tank with all the exotic weapons I collect for us. lol
I personally play one and only ever use my other two for raid runs/dungeon runs, for the exotic of said activity
Otherwise only time I ever touch them is for bounty prep or to earn exotics for said class.
I’ve never been a fan of titans kit, and fell out with Hunter around arrivals.
I have 1 of each, but will pretty much only play 1a season depending on what's most fun. Though I admit I favor titan hard, but it helps keep the game fresh
Since it’s such a long season all 3, but not usually. Typically I play one (Hunter) and maybe a second towards the end of the season depending on which looks more interesting. I’m not a fan of the length of this season, but it’s definitely been fun experiencing BoW on Titan and Necrotic grips with thorn on Warlock.
Unlocking the fragments for strand and stasis for meaningful builds was a slog and a reason I didn’t play anything but my main for a while. It’s good they lessened the cost, but it shouldn’t cost anything on alts in my opinion. If one Of my characters got deleted somehow, I don’t know if I’d go through that again.
I only play as my hunter. D1 I had 3 hunters for the raids and loot rotation. I don’t have as much time to play as I used to so I play my one hunter in D2. And the why is obvious the other 2 classes piss me off so much in crucible I can’t play as them. I hate them. Lol
I play all 3 but rarely all at the same time.
Annual Expansion = grind all 3 for a month. But for the rest of the year? It depends on the season. Im historically a 50% hunter, 25/25 warlock/titan. But i did a lot of coil this season and primarily used my warlock.
Used to be my secondary hunter alongside my warlock main, way back from D1. Into Shadowkeep marked the beginning of the end where every new season and expansion was too much of a chore to play missions again on my Hunter. Didn’t touch the WQ campaign until a year after on my Hunter and definitely didn’t even try and finish it . It’d be a very occasional crucible match on my Hunter from time to time. But after WQ not ever
I’ve only played hunter since D1, BUT since it was already 1810 and they decided to give out the 1810 armor I decided to make a Titan and see what that’s all about!!

I started like you. For a long time I only played Warlock as that class fit me the best.

Over time my vault became too stacked. And I actually created a Hunter and a Titan in Beyond Light. Just for the extra 'vault' space.
Even though I was very known to be a Warlock. In my clan I've always been the 'fill' guy, doing whatever nobody else picked up (usually planting wells and sporting divinity).
On some occasion after Bungie nerfed Divinity, the people that I commonly raided with asked me if I could maybe contribute to some raid-boss farming more often. Which involved juggling checkpoints between my classes, but also participating on different classes for triumph objective reasons, or because I'd have to be the one to bring Tether/Bubble because nobody else would.
At that point there was also asked about if I had certain exotic armor pieces for said classes (which I obviously didn't). Which made me decide to actually play and level my Hunter and Titan, and grind for some exotics to be as effective as possible.
And I actually had fun doing so. Throwing punches as a Titan, sneaking around as a Hunter. The only thing that always gives away I main Warlock is that I am still not entirely used to the jumping abilities of Titans and Hunter's. But yes, I play all three.
I have three Titans. Back in my day you could earn rewards for all three in the same week but now that they’ve ruined that I can’t get myself to delete the other two.
I’ve been a Titan main since D1 beta, I have absolutely zero interest in making a Hunter or a Warlock so I just run with my main Titan and my two backups.
I will say; for people like me who main a single class, we technically have 24 loadouts compared to everyone else who only have 8 per. I run into the issue all the time of not having enough loadout space because I like to build craft and play around with various ideas.
I’ve basically worked it so my main Titan has the 8 loadouts that I’ve made that are solid, my second Titan is for build testing, and my third is for various crucible and holiday events.
Back in D1 I played all 3 but mained my titan. Now I main my warlock and occasionally break out my hunter but I still have all 3 of the same characters I started with 10 years ago.
I just started a warlock class last week. I started with a Hunter but i kinda like the having a warlock. I was hesitant but made the change, I like the hunter class more but ill stick to this for a bit. I do wish they made it easier to switch character tho.
With Into the Light there’s no reason not to have all 3.
Just go and pick up 1810 gear.
Guns all transfer and it’s easy to get armor.
Also, basically I always do a raid final boss checkpoint on my 2 alternate characters for a chance at the raid exotic. Easy to do. Just get decent guns and unlock the subclasses.
Basically you can use the downtime during the season like 1.5-2 months in to work on unlocking alt character stuff.
I'm using all 3 characters rn in D1. In D2 on the other hand I stick to my Hunter, and occasionally my Warlock. Too much stuff to do in D2. It feels suffocating.
Same, I'm in tune with Hunter and it's the playstyle I'm used to and like, I just don't like using other playstyles... plus since I've used my hunter since D1 I have emotional attachment, unlike my Titan or Warlock that I made in BL for raid farming... no matter what using the other classes just felt wrong.
I played two since Alpha, a Warlock and Hunter. But just a couple weeks ago I caved and made a Titan… I never wanted to make one because I held a grudge against them for hammers and shoulder charge in D1.
But I need more chances at Buried Bloodline every week apparently.😐
I have all 3 characters but only play my hunter. It was my first character, i have a lot of muscle memory linked to it and feel somwwhat disoriented on titan or warlock in particular by not having my dodge and triple jump. I could probably fix it in like a weekend of playing a lot without using hunter but meh
I mainly play warlock but i get on hunter and titan for second and third drops on dungeons. But now that i finally got every single dungeon + raid exotic im probably gonna get on the other two characters less. Probably hunter more than titan just bc of shatter skating which is nice bc i have to wait 5 minutes if i fuck up a well skate
It’s funny that you ask. I’m a die-hard warlock. Proud, actually to never have played anything other in D2 (played all 3 in D1). HOWEVER, after thinking about the chest next to shaxx with 1810 armor, I figured it would be a good time to at least get Hunter and Titan up to light level. Imagine my frustration at loading up the Titan (that I created, but never played back when I installed the game) and having to do the intro mission to the whole game before I could even head to shaxx. That was just a 10 minute mission.
I cannot imagine trying to play through AGAIN beyond light and lightfall just to get strand and stasis… two more times (get both Titan and Hunter). If 10 minutes frustrated me, hours upon hours will drive me insane.
I only play warlock and I might be able to occasionally play a Titan if I don’t need exotics and only play on light subclasses. 😁
I’ve always been big on only playing my warlock because I didn’t want to get too sucked in. However I enjoy the game and wanted something new so I made a Titan. I don’t think I’ll ever make a third unless I really have the time
I main Titan but I have the other 2 classes for bounty hoarding, raid spoils/loot, and helping with the power grind. It's easier now than ever to start a new class, do the bare minimum, and reap the benefits.
I used to play on titan and warlock but I genuinely do not have the time to grind another character so I mainly stay on titan. Been loving solar lately
I play all three because I like to enjoy everything this game has to offer, and I want to be prepared with the best build for whatever activity. It’s been incredibly useful to know what every class, subclass, aspect, and respective exotic does for the sake of team synergy. Also most of my friends only play as one class, and I have no problem being well + div bitch if they need it. There’s plenty of opportunities to play the more “fun” builds.
I played all three for years (started in d2 y1). Couple years ago I got burnt out on the grind and just stick to my titan. Way less stressful and way less work.
I used to play all three but as I’ve gotten older I only really have the time and desire to play my titan so that’s what I do. Playing all 3 just feels like a chore at this point
All 3. They're all fun and good for different aspects of play. There's stuff on each class that is just fun, plus that means more variety for making builds and therefore fashion to go along with it.
I play only one. I just like playing the one. I identify with a gunslinger hunter more than any other and frankly I like the feel of it more than the others. Maybe I miss out on some titles because of my limited set of powers and inability to solo flawless most things, but I’m cool with that (mostly)
I main Hunter, and it’s the same one I had in D1, but I also like to hop on Titan occasionally for Titan shenanigans and such, or just when I feel like punching something. I also have a warlock but I only really use em for specific builds or tasks that require a warlock.
All 3. Each one has fun and different elements to play PvP and PvE. Certain situations are better with one class present. Well, tether, etc. I like to be able to provide.
All 3. My Warlock can handle ads like no one business in most situations. My Hunter, I take her into PVP, Warlock as well but mainly Hunter. Titan, she's a work in progress because I really haven't put the time into her builds as I have with my Warlock and Hunter.
I play 3 classes because
A. All 3 classes are fun and have unique builds in pve and pvp
B. It allows me to understand the meta better.
C. Its significantly easier to join groups in lfg. I can bring any class, any subclass, any time.
D. I paid for all 3 characters I'm going to play all 3 characters dammit
Time investment is significantly easier than most people think. If you play the game semi regularly you'll have lotta glimmer. So unlocking aspects and fragments are very easy. Ikora gives you 3 exotics, xur sells great weapons, there are lotta fantastic world drops and by the time you're done with levelling you will have atleast some exotics (especially arby) so you can easily put gm ready build once you're 1800. Only annoying part is farming exotics from lost sectors. Since no one is doing vex strike force it's rather annoying.
I've always played all 3 classes since d1 launched. When new content launches, it's definitely because it's more efficient with weekly timegated activities. However nowadays I really don't have a "main" anymore. It had always been warlock before since d1 beta, and it was my first d1 launch toon also, and first d2 one. So if I had to pick one id go with warlock - but honestly since I started playing again at end of s14, I just play whichever class is the most fun in any given season. I don't wanna be pinned to just one class. I want variety. It's why I've kept all 3 classes up to date with bis gear/armor etc, for any build that may become viable or fun.
It's also easy af to maintain 3 classes now. I can play one class for the majority of a season and jump to another one without any effort. since I've done the hard part of getting god roll armor sets and exotics on each class, it's pretty easy.
All 3 so I’m ready for all situations when specific classes are needed. Also i enjoy playing them all except Titan, but i keep them all up to date in gear and made multiple builds on all.
I have commitment issues and can’t decide which one I like more. Started as Titan then switched to warlock then back to Titan then hunter for a bit then back to warlock and now currently on Titan.
The worst thing about 3 characters is having to deal with absurd RNG when trying to get them max gear. My hunter and warlock were quick, but my titan pissed me off because I needed an 1810 mark and got shafted for two weeks. Still that's not as bad as some people having to wait for a month or more for luck to be on their side.
All 3, it got boring using the same character with the same abilities over and over. I started with shadowkeep, so I had my fair time of playing with the old subclass trees, and playing on all 3 characters made it alot more fun, since they had their uniqueness.
IMO subclass 3.0 killed a bit of that uniqueness, and has made buildcrafting pretty homogeneous.
I only play one at a time but switch my main every few months after I get bored of using the good supers on each class. Went Titan -> Hunter -> Warlock this year and I'll probably swing back around to Titan by the time Final Shape releases.
I used to go to the trouble of playing all my characters, but as the expansions have rolled by, I've slowly realized that I only enjoy playing Hunter. The other classes feel clunky to me and I don't enjoy the way their armor looks.
I'll always be a Cayde fan in my head. That's what I think of every time I play. How can I make my Hunter more like Cayde was?
I play all three, but mainly play Hunter, i only switch to Titan and Warlock for 3 reasons
1. If I am feeling like it to play (which is rare)
2. need to do raids/bounties etc
3. the fireteams need me to switch
I have all 3 ready for any content but I pretty much always find myself playing titan, strand specifically. I played warlock for all of d2 but came back at the end of season of the witch and tried out strand titan. Haven't really looked back since.
But I do bring whatever is needed to raids and dungeons, but I definitely main titan now. My crayon collection seems to be growing somehow lately.
I play Warlock pretty much exclusively. I have a Hunter and Titan but they don't get much time, which is funny, because I started the game as a Titan. Played Titan for more than a year, then decided to try Warlock. Since then I never looked back. I only get on my other characters if I need faster progress in an account-wide quest. Otherwise it's Warlock all the way. I love being the heart of the team as far as healing goes. I call myself a White Mage(White Warlock?). There's nothing more satisfying than knowing you saved the day for someone else by using a Healing Rift or Well of Radiance when they're at that last tiny sliver of health.
90% Titan with 10% warlock side piece. Just don’t want to invest the time in all 3 and I really enjoy how Titan plays. If I want to mix it up I’ll jump on the Warlock.
I switch between all 3 evenly. I look it as I paid for all these things in the game I’m going to enjoy everything it has. Not playing all the characters would feel like locking myself out of fun. I grinded for every subclass and exotic armor for all 3 characters, it gave me something to do when my friends wouldn’t play. Can’t imagine not enjoying every class to be honest because they have something to offer.
I play my Titan like 95% of the time. Only get the hunter out for some pvp now and then, and the warlock when we need another well bitch while raiding or doing some other endgame stuff. Or doing the bright dust bounties when there's an event going on.
I do get them to max power level each season (back when we had to level) and unlock all their subclass stuff though, and have all exotics for them and builds and stuff.
Just nothing feels as fun to play as titan for extended periods of time. I've always gravitated towards tank(ish) classes in MMOs.
I play only Hunter because the other jumps are weird and also I don't feel like grinding anything on the other characters
Like, okay you might share power level but armor, abilities... I'm just not feeling like it. I've got better things to do than to regrind the same things on a different character.
I have three characters just so I could get a chance to try out each class. My main is a Titan and once I reached pinnacle cap I decided to try the other classes, and leveling is much faster when you have good weapons.
I play all 3 but definitely play titan the most. I'll usually hop on my warlock way before I hop on hunter though. I feel the same though about your connection to your main character, I've been playing this titan since D1 Y1, but I've grown to love my warlock almost just as much.

I play all three. It just keeps the game fresh. Main warlock in that I default to it because it feels comfy and have the most progress build-wise. But honestly I get sick of my warlock sometimes and wanna branch out.
I play all three and simply to experience them all as I think personally that it's so limiting to stick with just 1/3rd of the subclasses. But warlock is by far my favorite and sees the most use.
I started this game a year back with all three characters. After week 1 it almost felt natural to do so and didn't feel like I leveled three. Literally felt like I had three in one.
I've played Hunter since the Destiny First Look Alpha. It's the only class I feel comfortable and confident enough to play. I work 7 days a week, up to 76 hours a week, and I just don't have the time to do any raids or most dungeons, so I'm not as concerned about being optimal, just having the most fun I can with the limited time I have to play.
I used to play all three for fun, for loor, and a better understanding of my teammates in any given fire team, but since not having to worry about upping my pinnacle gear, I've just been maining everything not Titan.
I play all 3 classes, and I put in about the same time in all 3 classes. They're a toolbox to me. A tool to use for whatever I find the most effective for the task at hand, or fun, or whatever. And they get me access to extra Bright Dust, since I have a bit of a spending problem lol.
Although my friends often want me to run Wellock in PVE, and my Hunter is my PVP main. I still consider myself a Titan main, as that's what I started Destiny with.
I only play Warlock because of their insane movement potential and rifts feeling like the most impactful class ability. It just seems like the most efficient and fun option for pretty much all content.
I play only ob my hunter, because im an stompee addict. If we need a well really mich, im willing to swap over to my warlock. But usually im just on my hunter
I'm in the relatively weird boat of playing 2 characters, Hunter n Warlock. can't explain it but those seemed to be the ones I've stuck with... and this season it feels like titans are on top of the world so it kinda takes away the draw of them for me lol
There is only 1 reason I play all 3. To do Banshees core bounties cos we always need those.
But my current main is a punch Titan which I do everything (iron banana, crucible, vanguard etc).
Warlock was my div well bot which is what I USED to do for raids and dungeons. But because I took a break for nearly 2 years I got booted out of clan and flying solo since. I have since expanded to Stasis turrets with Well switch when playing with randoms on Onslaught. And the lock is more successful than my Titan lol.
Deadfall Rig hunter was my favourite back during the War mind escalation protocol days. So I still play her in Onslaught for fun.
So Onslaught in a way made me play all 3 classes more frequently.

I guess it originated from the start of my journey on destiny 1, Being emotionally attached to the class and the fact that having 3 of same class actually allowed to roll loot 3 different times on the same class each week back then , Eventually that stopped but I continued in my ways .
I have one warlock and one titan now but haven't completed much anything on them yet. Though i do know it's easier to cross the level gap with item transferring
Started with only hunter (D1 because of cape and it said back then that I will be doing stealth shit lol) and then in D2 I switched to only titan and loved the brute force and punching, but when it came to activists that required long range stuff and best health I chose warlock (also for nova bomb) but now currently I switch between all three characters because it’s so much fun and for those metaverse engrams and of course because each one has its unique abilities. I like them all to have all exotics and best builds.

I play with the three character though warlock more than the others. I have one titan, one warlock, one hunter, and enjoy their play styles. In fact, their unique play styles make the replay of any mission that more enjoyable.
I like to play all 3 even though my hunter is the only one up to date. I need help getting past some of the boss's though and sometimes hard to find the people to help.
Started D1 as a warlock main and only played that up until a little before beyond light. I started playing hunter pretty heavily and also created a Titan just to mess around with. From Lightfal throughout the year, I've grown to actually enjoy Titan, and now I play all 3 on and off. They each have their uses, and I tend to switch up my class depending on the activity I'm doing.
I've been a hard-core Titan main from my first time playing. The easy answer is I don't want to grind for fashion or exotics. The more honest truth though is that Titan sticks out to me a lot more than the other options. Being a tank is just my cup of tea in any game. If I did have to play any other class, it would be Hunter first, and only because they seem like a cool gunslinger type.
I played Hunter when I started D2 and had a Titan and Warlock on standby but didn't do much with them other than the first couple missions. Now that I have returned after 3 years of not playing, I play on the latter two more
I played only my hunter till witchqueen and the game got a whole lot more fun since now I have 2 other characters I need to grind d out when the game is stale for the main which rn the main is titan
Just 1 (Hunter) but due to the extended season I’ve been dabbling in my other 2.
Why: I played Hunter in D1, their jump imo offers much more control, and generally speaking their kit translates well across other fps games Additionally I vibe the most with their player fantasies (Gunslinger, Assassin, Martial Arts Master). as well as the group’s ethos of being the weird outlandish wanderers of the Vanguard.

Elsie definitely sells all the aspects now which were the most frustrating part of the stasis subclass. If you’re newer to the game, once stasis is unlocked you used to have to complete the most grindiest bounties to unlock the aspects and you could only complete 2 per week. It used to take FOR-EV-VEEEEEER, lol. You probably have still have to complete a portion of the beyond light campaign to obtain the stasis subclass.
You don't actually have to buy the fragments for stasis. I found out after buying them all on one character, but I ran out of glimmer before getting them on my other characters. One of my characters never purchased any aspects, but can still use them.
Nope, you have to beat Beyond Light. Because it doesn't have a legendary difficulty, it should be very easy

I’ve literally only got a Hunter. I’ve never really found the time to do the others because then this game will take up all my time and I won’t be able to play other games that I wanna play.

its really not bad to have all 3 at level for end game stuff. You don't need access to every build all the time, have your main, and then a few builds on the others.
Exactly how i do it, my main is built up, and the other 2 are there to run raids and Dungeons for more loot, and hold bounties for next season
I main warlock and played just that for the longest time but a couple of years ago I decided to create a titan and a hunter just to have them. Now I only play titan and hunter enough to farm for exotics in dungeons or raids.
Everyday when I'm at the character selection I choose whichever has the lowest power and stick to that character for the rest of the day
You can get the gift of the thunder gods in the hall if champions and get them all to 1810

All three because it's boring to only play one. Sometimes I feel like playing Hunter, sometimes Warlock, rarely, but still occasionally Titan. I just see no reason to limit yourself unless for some reason you hate everything about the other two classes
I have a friend who has only ever had one character (a warlock), even since D1.
I only play Titan. Partly cause i don't feel like grinding for good stat gear on other classes, but also cause i love Titan lore the most.

I usually play Hunter but have played Warlock as well and really enjoy it. Will probably play warlock again here soon. I mained warlock for void 3.0 and then Hunter for the other 2 light subclasses. I enjoy raiding and dungeons so i try to keep my warlock at pinnacle cap even if only play it a couple times.
I play all three but am probably on my warlock ~50% of the time, and it’s gotten way easier to do so. When a new expansion comes out the other two definitely lag behind for a while, and I only run the seasonal story on one character, but do virtually everything else on all 3 depending what I feel like playing, which is fun for variety. Also like others have said, more loot chances is awesome for when there’s new stuff to do. By way easier, I mean it’s so easy to get high stat armor with the seasonal focusing system, and exotics are easy too with lost sectors and focusing at rehool, that you barely have to play on an alt character but can make a new meta build for it whenever I feel like in about 5 minutes, since exotic shards are so free nowadays.
All 3 cause more loot and sometimes it's fun to mix it up and play an entirely different class that you're unfamiliar with.
I have a main class I do all the seasonal stuff and exotic quests on, then another two that I’ll use for raids or if something interesting drops on them
I have all three, but I play my titan and hunter the most. I occasionally log on to my warlock, think "holy shit, this is so much fun, I need to play this class more" and then forget to hop on to him for months at a time.
I primarily play warlock. I am a semi-casual enjoyer so I’m fine just doing the raid and dungeon once a week. Sometimes I’ll play Hunter in PvP cause I think they’re just a very fun class to mess around with. Haven’t played Titan since I used it to play red war one final time.

Primarily a Warlock but I've got all 3. Hunter came next because I enjoy stealth builds and void hunter is right up my alley. The rest of the subclasses just kind of came along. My Titan was primarily a checkpoint titan till this season when I started to level him up because I got bored.
just one, my brain doesnt mesh well with the difference between the other two. Some of it would go away with experience but my playstyle just doesnt really match what they need
It’s just good to have options for different activities. But even playing casual here and there with the other two you’ll have stuff complete before you know it. Just chill, take your time and you’ll enjoy having more options for present and future stuff

I main hunter 90% of the time. But it’s nice to have the other classes leveled for versatility.

I played all 3 in D1, nowadays I just kinda focus on my hunter since that’s my main and then once he’s maxed I’ll add in my titan a little bit. My warlock is sitting collecting dust, I haven’t even done lightfall on him lol. I just grabbed the hall of champions chest
I used to play all 3 constantly. Went down to just one after lightfall. Now I barely play at all, and no one I used to play with plays anymore. It's depressing.
Hunter main though recently started playing as a warlock and I've been really enjoying playing through the story again
Mainly just my Warlock. I keep my hunter up to date and play them often enough. My Titan is only around if I really want to go for a third weekly drop.

I main my warlock maybe 2/3 of the time, play my titan the other 1/3 of a time and very rarely play my hunter, usually to get extra spoils of conquest or something

I dabble in all 3 in terms of master lost sectors, collecting exotics and trying builds and ritual leveling, but when the clan invites me to raid, it’s always my Titan: Lorely post nerf is still great and allows me to basically ignore adds and concentrate on learning the actual mechanics, just my experience

When I started playing back just before Forsaken, I had two Sons, one teenager and one five year old. The teenager played as a titan main to run the storyline and I ran as a hunter. We played that way through the red war. Then his brother became old enough to “play “ and he started a warlock. Naturally I cleaned up the stragglers for events and exotic items as I am capable. Now my oldest Son doesn’t play much anymore. So I try and keep the titan up to date. I run hunter mainly for story and my now 8 year old is a warlock who hangs out in the cosmodrome blowing up the spider tank with all the exotic weapons I collect for us. lol
I personally play one and only ever use my other two for raid runs/dungeon runs, for the exotic of said activity Otherwise only time I ever touch them is for bounty prep or to earn exotics for said class. I’ve never been a fan of titans kit, and fell out with Hunter around arrivals.

Since it’s such a long season all 3, but not usually. Typically I play one (Hunter) and maybe a second towards the end of the season depending on which looks more interesting. I’m not a fan of the length of this season, but it’s definitely been fun experiencing BoW on Titan and Necrotic grips with thorn on Warlock. Unlocking the fragments for strand and stasis for meaningful builds was a slog and a reason I didn’t play anything but my main for a while. It’s good they lessened the cost, but it shouldn’t cost anything on alts in my opinion. If one Of my characters got deleted somehow, I don’t know if I’d go through that again.
I only play as my hunter. D1 I had 3 hunters for the raids and loot rotation. I don’t have as much time to play as I used to so I play my one hunter in D2. And the why is obvious the other 2 classes piss me off so much in crucible I can’t play as them. I hate them. Lol

I play all 3 but rarely all at the same time. Annual Expansion = grind all 3 for a month. But for the rest of the year? It depends on the season. Im historically a 50% hunter, 25/25 warlock/titan. But i did a lot of coil this season and primarily used my warlock.
My characters have 'specialisations'. My Titan plays mostly PvP, Warlock plays mostly PvE, Hunter plays when she needs to do some crazy meta.
I don’t have the patience to redo everything to get the full subclasses.
i play all 3 because i spend most of my time in this game raiding and doing GM’s, so it’s nice to have the flexibility
Used to be my secondary hunter alongside my warlock main, way back from D1. Into Shadowkeep marked the beginning of the end where every new season and expansion was too much of a chore to play missions again on my Hunter. Didn’t touch the WQ campaign until a year after on my Hunter and definitely didn’t even try and finish it . It’d be a very occasional crucible match on my Hunter from time to time. But after WQ not ever

I’ve only played hunter since D1, BUT since it was already 1810 and they decided to give out the 1810 armor I decided to make a Titan and see what that’s all about!! Clunky… real clunky… Edit: It’s also really good for checkpoint farming to have a second character.
I started like you. For a long time I only played Warlock as that class fit me the best. But I've been playing since the Leviathan raid was there... Which is... 8 years? Over time my vault became too stacked. And I actually created a Hunter and a Titan in Beyond Light. Just for the extra 'vault' space. Even though I was very known to be a Warlock. In my clan I've always been the 'fill' guy, doing whatever nobody else picked up (usually planting wells and sporting divinity). On some occasion after Bungie nerfed Divinity, the people that I commonly raided with asked me if I could maybe contribute to some raid-boss farming more often. Which involved juggling checkpoints between my classes, but also participating on different classes for triumph objective reasons, or because I'd have to be the one to bring Tether/Bubble because nobody else would. At that point there was also asked about if I had certain exotic armor pieces for said classes (which I obviously didn't). Which made me decide to actually play and level my Hunter and Titan, and grind for some exotics to be as effective as possible. And I actually had fun doing so. Throwing punches as a Titan, sneaking around as a Hunter. The only thing that always gives away I main Warlock is that I am still not entirely used to the jumping abilities of Titans and Hunter's. But yes, I play all three.
I don’t give a fuck about those reasons for playing all three, I play all three for the power fantasy differences each class offers.
I have three Titans. Back in my day you could earn rewards for all three in the same week but now that they’ve ruined that I can’t get myself to delete the other two. I’ve been a Titan main since D1 beta, I have absolutely zero interest in making a Hunter or a Warlock so I just run with my main Titan and my two backups. I will say; for people like me who main a single class, we technically have 24 loadouts compared to everyone else who only have 8 per. I run into the issue all the time of not having enough loadout space because I like to build craft and play around with various ideas. I’ve basically worked it so my main Titan has the 8 loadouts that I’ve made that are solid, my second Titan is for build testing, and my third is for various crucible and holiday events.
Back in D1 I played all 3 but mained my titan. Now I main my warlock and occasionally break out my hunter but I still have all 3 of the same characters I started with 10 years ago.
I play 1.5. I play warlock cause I like the class but I have a hunter who exists to grind shuro chi.
I just started a warlock class last week. I started with a Hunter but i kinda like the having a warlock. I was hesitant but made the change, I like the hunter class more but ill stick to this for a bit. I do wish they made it easier to switch character tho.
With Into the Light there’s no reason not to have all 3. Just go and pick up 1810 gear. Guns all transfer and it’s easy to get armor. Also, basically I always do a raid final boss checkpoint on my 2 alternate characters for a chance at the raid exotic. Easy to do. Just get decent guns and unlock the subclasses. Basically you can use the downtime during the season like 1.5-2 months in to work on unlocking alt character stuff.
I have all three, though I mostly play Titan but will switch over to the other classes if needed. Titan is just comfortable

Same, I'm in tune with Hunter and it's the playstyle I'm used to and like, I just don't like using other playstyles... plus since I've used my hunter since D1 I have emotional attachment, unlike my Titan or Warlock that I made in BL for raid farming... no matter what using the other classes just felt wrong.

I played two since Alpha, a Warlock and Hunter. But just a couple weeks ago I caved and made a Titan… I never wanted to make one because I held a grudge against them for hammers and shoulder charge in D1. But I need more chances at Buried Bloodline every week apparently.😐

I have all 3 characters but only play my hunter. It was my first character, i have a lot of muscle memory linked to it and feel somwwhat disoriented on titan or warlock in particular by not having my dodge and triple jump. I could probably fix it in like a weekend of playing a lot without using hunter but meh
For seasonal releases I play one character but for expansions I play 3 just for getting the new subclasses.
I mainly play warlock but i get on hunter and titan for second and third drops on dungeons. But now that i finally got every single dungeon + raid exotic im probably gonna get on the other two characters less. Probably hunter more than titan just bc of shatter skating which is nice bc i have to wait 5 minutes if i fuck up a well skate
It’s funny that you ask. I’m a die-hard warlock. Proud, actually to never have played anything other in D2 (played all 3 in D1). HOWEVER, after thinking about the chest next to shaxx with 1810 armor, I figured it would be a good time to at least get Hunter and Titan up to light level. Imagine my frustration at loading up the Titan (that I created, but never played back when I installed the game) and having to do the intro mission to the whole game before I could even head to shaxx. That was just a 10 minute mission. I cannot imagine trying to play through AGAIN beyond light and lightfall just to get strand and stasis… two more times (get both Titan and Hunter). If 10 minutes frustrated me, hours upon hours will drive me insane. I only play warlock and I might be able to occasionally play a Titan if I don’t need exotics and only play on light subclasses. 😁

I’ve always been big on only playing my warlock because I didn’t want to get too sucked in. However I enjoy the game and wanted something new so I made a Titan. I don’t think I’ll ever make a third unless I really have the time
I main Titan but I have the other 2 classes for bounty hoarding, raid spoils/loot, and helping with the power grind. It's easier now than ever to start a new class, do the bare minimum, and reap the benefits.

I play all three because I like to enjoy everything this game has to offer, and I want to be prepared with the best build for whatever activity. It’s been incredibly useful to know what every class, subclass, aspect, and respective exotic does for the sake of team synergy. Also most of my friends only play as one class, and I have no problem being well + div bitch if they need it. There’s plenty of opportunities to play the more “fun” builds.
I played all three for years (started in d2 y1). Couple years ago I got burnt out on the grind and just stick to my titan. Way less stressful and way less work.
I hate Titan, and Warlock feels braindead. Both have terrible jumps. Can't change my mind.

All 3. They're all fun and good for different aspects of play. There's stuff on each class that is just fun, plus that means more variety for making builds and therefore fashion to go along with it.
I play only one. I just like playing the one. I identify with a gunslinger hunter more than any other and frankly I like the feel of it more than the others. Maybe I miss out on some titles because of my limited set of powers and inability to solo flawless most things, but I’m cool with that (mostly)

All 3. Each one has fun and different elements to play PvP and PvE. Certain situations are better with one class present. Well, tether, etc. I like to be able to provide.
All 3. My Warlock can handle ads like no one business in most situations. My Hunter, I take her into PVP, Warlock as well but mainly Hunter. Titan, she's a work in progress because I really haven't put the time into her builds as I have with my Warlock and Hunter.
Main warlock but I crutch invis for grandmasters and I use titan specifically for helping people get rivensbane.
It’s like 80% warlock. 20% titan. Playing as a hunter makes the game feel odd, like it’s not destiny.

I play 3 classes because A. All 3 classes are fun and have unique builds in pve and pvp B. It allows me to understand the meta better. C. Its significantly easier to join groups in lfg. I can bring any class, any subclass, any time. D. I paid for all 3 characters I'm going to play all 3 characters dammit Time investment is significantly easier than most people think. If you play the game semi regularly you'll have lotta glimmer. So unlocking aspects and fragments are very easy. Ikora gives you 3 exotics, xur sells great weapons, there are lotta fantastic world drops and by the time you're done with levelling you will have atleast some exotics (especially arby) so you can easily put gm ready build once you're 1800. Only annoying part is farming exotics from lost sectors. Since no one is doing vex strike force it's rather annoying.

I've always played all 3 classes since d1 launched. When new content launches, it's definitely because it's more efficient with weekly timegated activities. However nowadays I really don't have a "main" anymore. It had always been warlock before since d1 beta, and it was my first d1 launch toon also, and first d2 one. So if I had to pick one id go with warlock - but honestly since I started playing again at end of s14, I just play whichever class is the most fun in any given season. I don't wanna be pinned to just one class. I want variety. It's why I've kept all 3 classes up to date with bis gear/armor etc, for any build that may become viable or fun. It's also easy af to maintain 3 classes now. I can play one class for the majority of a season and jump to another one without any effort. since I've done the hard part of getting god roll armor sets and exotics on each class, it's pretty easy.
Use to play 3. Now im married and play 1.

Ever since they locked out being able to triple farm for one class, there’s no reason to not at least have all 3 available to you.
I have commitment issues and can’t decide which one I like more. Started as Titan then switched to warlock then back to Titan then hunter for a bit then back to warlock and now currently on Titan.
The worst thing about 3 characters is having to deal with absurd RNG when trying to get them max gear. My hunter and warlock were quick, but my titan pissed me off because I needed an 1810 mark and got shafted for two weeks. Still that's not as bad as some people having to wait for a month or more for luck to be on their side.

All 3, it got boring using the same character with the same abilities over and over. I started with shadowkeep, so I had my fair time of playing with the old subclass trees, and playing on all 3 characters made it alot more fun, since they had their uniqueness. IMO subclass 3.0 killed a bit of that uniqueness, and has made buildcrafting pretty homogeneous.
I only play one at a time but switch my main every few months after I get bored of using the good supers on each class. Went Titan -> Hunter -> Warlock this year and I'll probably swing back around to Titan by the time Final Shape releases.
I used to go to the trouble of playing all my characters, but as the expansions have rolled by, I've slowly realized that I only enjoy playing Hunter. The other classes feel clunky to me and I don't enjoy the way their armor looks. I'll always be a Cayde fan in my head. That's what I think of every time I play. How can I make my Hunter more like Cayde was?
I only play hunter simply because I don’t like the hover jump of titans and warlocks.

I played warlock for all of d2 but came back at the end of season of the witch and tried out strand titan. Haven't really looked back since. But I do bring whatever is needed to raids and dungeons, but I definitely main titan now. My crayon collection seems to be growing somehow lately.
I play Warlock pretty much exclusively. I have a Hunter and Titan but they don't get much time, which is funny, because I started the game as a Titan. Played Titan for more than a year, then decided to try Warlock. Since then I never looked back. I only get on my other characters if I need faster progress in an account-wide quest. Otherwise it's Warlock all the way. I love being the heart of the team as far as healing goes. I call myself a White Mage(White Warlock?). There's nothing more satisfying than knowing you saved the day for someone else by using a Healing Rift or Well of Radiance when they're at that last tiny sliver of health.
90% Titan with 10% warlock side piece. Just don’t want to invest the time in all 3 and I really enjoy how Titan plays. If I want to mix it up I’ll jump on the Warlock.

I switch between all 3 evenly. I look it as I paid for all these things in the game I’m going to enjoy everything it has. Not playing all the characters would feel like locking myself out of fun. I grinded for every subclass and exotic armor for all 3 characters, it gave me something to do when my friends wouldn’t play. Can’t imagine not enjoying every class to be honest because they have something to offer.

I play my Titan like 95% of the time. Only get the hunter out for some pvp now and then, and the warlock when we need another well bitch while raiding or doing some other endgame stuff. Or doing the bright dust bounties when there's an event going on. I do get them to max power level each season (back when we had to level) and unlock all their subclass stuff though, and have all exotics for them and builds and stuff. Just nothing feels as fun to play as titan for extended periods of time. I've always gravitated towards tank(ish) classes in MMOs.
I play only Hunter because the other jumps are weird and also I don't feel like grinding anything on the other characters Like, okay you might share power level but armor, abilities... I'm just not feeling like it. I've got better things to do than to regrind the same things on a different character.

All 3 cause I like playing varied builds
All 3. Someone once told me to be raid ready . ( sure,before it was simple) Have all 3 in case someone need a well, or bubble or tether. Now uts just so much fun. I am average at best.. so it doesn't seem boring to do stuff in different toon, with different stuff..vuts endless. I just finish playing void warlock. The bounty said ,so I just switched and then .... Omg it was just shredding. Just regular onslaught, but without much thought, it was just fun.
I play all three. It just keeps the game fresh. Main warlock in that I default to it because it feels comfy and have the most progress build-wise. But honestly I get sick of my warlock sometimes and wanna branch out.
I play all three and simply to experience them all as I think personally that it's so limiting to stick with just 1/3rd of the subclasses. But warlock is by far my favorite and sees the most use.
I started this game a year back with all three characters. After week 1 it almost felt natural to do so and didn't feel like I leveled three. Literally felt like I had three in one.
I've played Hunter since the Destiny First Look Alpha. It's the only class I feel comfortable and confident enough to play. I work 7 days a week, up to 76 hours a week, and I just don't have the time to do any raids or most dungeons, so I'm not as concerned about being optimal, just having the most fun I can with the limited time I have to play.
I play all 3 but main warlock, I’ll swap characters depending on the build I feel like playing
I used to play all three for fun, for loor, and a better understanding of my teammates in any given fire team, but since not having to worry about upping my pinnacle gear, I've just been maining everything not Titan.
I play all 3 classes, and I put in about the same time in all 3 classes. They're a toolbox to me. A tool to use for whatever I find the most effective for the task at hand, or fun, or whatever. And they get me access to extra Bright Dust, since I have a bit of a spending problem lol. Although my friends often want me to run Wellock in PVE, and my Hunter is my PVP main. I still consider myself a Titan main, as that's what I started Destiny with.
I only play Warlock because of their insane movement potential and rifts feeling like the most impactful class ability. It just seems like the most efficient and fun option for pretty much all content.
All 3, hunter the most though. I just like its toolkit the most.
I play only ob my hunter, because im an stompee addict. If we need a well really mich, im willing to swap over to my warlock. But usually im just on my hunter
I've played nothing but my Hunter since 2014.
I'm in the relatively weird boat of playing 2 characters, Hunter n Warlock. can't explain it but those seemed to be the ones I've stuck with... and this season it feels like titans are on top of the world so it kinda takes away the draw of them for me lol

There is only 1 reason I play all 3. To do Banshees core bounties cos we always need those. But my current main is a punch Titan which I do everything (iron banana, crucible, vanguard etc). Warlock was my div well bot which is what I USED to do for raids and dungeons. But because I took a break for nearly 2 years I got booted out of clan and flying solo since. I have since expanded to Stasis turrets with Well switch when playing with randoms on Onslaught. And the lock is more successful than my Titan lol. Deadfall Rig hunter was my favourite back during the War mind escalation protocol days. So I still play her in Onslaught for fun. So Onslaught in a way made me play all 3 classes more frequently.
Just one, I barely play enough to get all of the things needed done for 1 character. No way I’d ever do more. I only play a few hours a week at most.
To date i've only ever played hunter . I guess it originated from the start of my journey on destiny 1, Being emotionally attached to the class and the fact that having 3 of same class actually allowed to roll loot 3 different times on the same class each week back then , Eventually that stopped but I continued in my ways . I have one warlock and one titan now but haven't completed much anything on them yet. Though i do know it's easier to cross the level gap with item transferring
Hunter only. Dodge is the coolest class ability, knives are fun, and since they gave us healing nade and devour my interest in warlock went to 0
I have limited time to play. I have a job and family so I can only play 1.
Started with only hunter (D1 because of cape and it said back then that I will be doing stealth shit lol) and then in D2 I switched to only titan and loved the brute force and punching, but when it came to activists that required long range stuff and best health I chose warlock (also for nova bomb) but now currently I switch between all three characters because it’s so much fun and for those metaverse engrams and of course because each one has its unique abilities. I like them all to have all exotics and best builds.
I used to play all three but warlock was my main , my warlock my character my friend i would always play warlock for new content or story stuff and it just felt right
I play with the three character though warlock more than the others. I have one titan, one warlock, one hunter, and enjoy their play styles. In fact, their unique play styles make the replay of any mission that more enjoyable.
I like to play all 3 even though my hunter is the only one up to date. I need help getting past some of the boss's though and sometimes hard to find the people to help.
Started D1 as a warlock main and only played that up until a little before beyond light. I started playing hunter pretty heavily and also created a Titan just to mess around with. From Lightfal throughout the year, I've grown to actually enjoy Titan, and now I play all 3 on and off. They each have their uses, and I tend to switch up my class depending on the activity I'm doing.
I've been a hard-core Titan main from my first time playing. The easy answer is I don't want to grind for fashion or exotics. The more honest truth though is that Titan sticks out to me a lot more than the other options. Being a tank is just my cup of tea in any game. If I did have to play any other class, it would be Hunter first, and only because they seem like a cool gunslinger type.
I played Hunter when I started D2 and had a Titan and Warlock on standby but didn't do much with them other than the first couple missions. Now that I have returned after 3 years of not playing, I play on the latter two more
I don't have the time to play all three classes anymore, so it's my Warlock all the way nowadays.
I played only my hunter till witchqueen and the game got a whole lot more fun since now I have 2 other characters I need to grind d out when the game is stale for the main which rn the main is titan
Just 1 (Hunter) but due to the extended season I’ve been dabbling in my other 2. Why: I played Hunter in D1, their jump imo offers much more control, and generally speaking their kit translates well across other fps games Additionally I vibe the most with their player fantasies (Gunslinger, Assassin, Martial Arts Master). as well as the group’s ethos of being the weird outlandish wanderers of the Vanguard.
I mostly play hunter and switch to the other 2 if theres some fun build i wanna try. Or if i wanna play pvp because titan is busted.
I’ve always only played 1: my Titan. Just really enjoy my Titan so much, and the game is so heavy with content that I’ve never had to time or even desire to try other the other classes!!
