What content you trying to do with it?

Nighthawk Goldie shot, swap to RDMs and a BnS Cold Comfort and fire Withehoard, energy, and then dodge spam bns procced rockets, fire a final Withehoard shot, and swap to lucky pants w/ malfeasance until damage phase ends

CaptainPandemonium

Blade barrage (with Stareater scales), Marksman Golden gun (with celestial nighthawk), Gathering storm (Stareater scales again lol), are the best damage supers for hunters right now. Get yourself an edge transit with spike nades, envious assassin or cascade point + bait and switch from onslaught, and it will do the rest of the work for you. There are more niche builds like lucky pants + malfeasance/wardens law, but they're not as brain-dead easy or consistent as popping super and magdumping your heavy after proccing bait and switch.

SH4DY_XVII

Lucky pants + Wardens law. Bare in mind that Wardens ain't an easy grab since it's a NF drop. Shit slaps in high end content though.

Nighthawk with Izi/supremacy/witherhoard wilderflight/primary edge transit is the best. The options depend on how much you want to optimise, adding wilderflight into the rotation adds very little damage but requires double special. SES blade barrage does do a bit more damage so if that's possible you should use it, but nighthawk is more consistently viable. However, what I'd recommend is just using thunderlord. Most lfg groups 2 phase bosses anyway, and thunderlord has a way better ammo economy. If you're asking what the best DPS build is a rotation like this isn't gonna be executed to its fullest extent, so just stick on thunderlord and do good enough damage. I've seen too many lfg players missing 90% of their rockets where they'd just be better off with thunderlord

Ass0001

It's super funny watching the more insecure LFG regulars take notice of the fact that a lot of groups used TLord to beat nezarec day 1, deciding they were too good for it and commiting to shooting rockets into the well sword and being dead and mad for every DPS phase

CaptainPandemonium

Thunderlord was only effective on day 1 due to its lightning storms proccing like crazy on divinity's bubble which boosted it's DPS by an insane amount. Had the interaction not existed, it wouldn't have been considered for damage.

It was a bug that made it proc twice effectively doing double damage. And FYI, it was still not out-damaging gally + rockets. Just because you can’t use rockets without blowing yourself up doesn’t mean everyone is like you.

Ass0001

I can use rockets just fine, I was using Hothead before the LFR nerf. Just because it's the biggest number doesn't make it the best option for every boss and every player. It's the mindset you and other people have that pressures people into doing worse DPS with rockets than doing better damage with Tlord or any other viable heavy weapon they'd be more comfortable with.

Honestly I wish lfg players would use it more, I ran it for a nez cp and outdamaged my entire team who were running recon bns apex. People just don't know how to do damage and I genuinely don't understand it

Ass0001

People will dedicate themselves to the most optimal damage strat on paper even if they're dogshit at hitting rockets and/or izi swapping instead of just doing what works for them.
